Positive experience: I would give 5-star if not for the lousy and lazy discourteous lady front desk. Everytime I ask for reschedulel she automatically set me for 2 months later date. She never bothers to check whether there are cancellations. I would like to commend the guy who entertained my call and help me find appointments that were cancelled. I was able to book to earlier date. I wish the clinic will teach this lady receptionist how to do her job. Dr. Shang is a great dentist. I like her thoroughness and courteousness.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed my final follow-up from a tooth implant procedure in 2024. The service and care from Dr. Ke Shang and her team was outstanding. Dr. Shang is caring and attentive , listens to the patient and communicates every step of the way. With her knowledge, skills and compassion, the entire process went smoothly with no pain or discomfort. Fantastic experience: I just finished several months of work by Dr. Shang and my general dentist to address damage to my front teeth after an accident left several chipped and damaged. One needed an implant. The outcome was beyond what I had hoped for both in aesthetics and how the whole process went. Over several visits to the office in Brighton over the course of many months, I have consistently been impressed by their communication, whether it’s asking to move your appointment a half hour earlier the next week or on pre-op instructions. They coordinated flawlessly with my general dentist’s office on a plan that needed to work sequentially and it went off without a hitch. I know that this involved communication I was unaware of, and that’s my point. They take care of it. Besides being well credentialed, Dr. Shang is very kind, approachable, and clearly sets expectations appropriately. Her competence speaks for itself in both my current smile and many other glowing reviews on here, besides why my dentist referred me to her practice in the first place. For this level of dental work, their pricing is in line with if not better than others in town. My take is, they excel at all the small things that make the difference in your experience as a patient when it adds up. I’m not alone in having a great outcome here. Bravo to ROC Perio, and that includes all staff. This was not a particularly pleasant process, but everything you guys could control made it great overall. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Dr Shang is really good!! Best experience with implants ever! Very caring and she explains every step of procedure. She pulled a molar and also put implant in next to it. Healing was really good too. Her assistant Desiree is also great! Very caring and informative. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Lowenguth for over 3 years after being referred by my regular dentist. I have had extensive oral surgeries and implants which have all been very successful. I have received very good care from Dr Lowenguth and her staff. She has answered all of my questions and explained all the procedures that I have had. I have never left the office in pain nor have had any post op complications. Fantastic experience: I had a frenectomy and lower gum grafts as my introduction to Roc Perio. I was so impressed with Dr. Phillips and the staff that I decided to have my upper gums grafted as well after my lowers healed. At Roc Perio, they somehow manage to make the most unpleasant experience not only bearable, but also enjoyable! I love the staff, especially Neisha. She competently and confidently goes above and beyond to make sure I’m comfortable and at ease. Dr. Phillips is wonderful at what he does, and I specially love hearing him teach his staff as he goes through the procedure. Negative experience: They are not to be trusted. They tend to find ways to get treatments added for a lot of money as insurance doesn’t cover enough money on teeth pulling etc. I don’t trust them. Super expensive. Do not like their attitude about treatments either. I wouldn’t recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at ROC perio with Dr. Lowenguth and her staff. From my first visit every staff member explained what they would do and why and made sure I was comfortable. The pin hole surgery was a great success!! I was made comfortable during the proceedure and given clear instructions for post op care. There was some post op discomfort but that was mimimized due to the precautions and medications post op. My gums are healthy and the experience and attention to detail and patient comfort were exceptional.

Fantastic experience: I woke up one morning with a terrible infection. My periodontist at that time did not do emergencies. My Prosthodontist called Dr. Shang and she took me immediately. I was hooked from that moment. She's caring, thoughtful, very thorough and listens to what you have to say. Fantastic experience: I have to say I was fearful of the surgery I was going to get. But doctor Roxanne Lowenguth and her assistant put me at such an ease, that despite losing a tooth all went extremely well. And today I have less pain than when I got the shots of Novacaine. No matter how careful I was to take care of my teeth, I had "bad teeth" that needed work regularly. Fantastic experience: I was sent to Dr. Lowenguth by my primary dentist. I needed a second opinion. My implant, put in by yet another dentist , was showing signs of infection and bone loss. I did not want the implant removed as I read of the arduous painful process.If I could save the implant that is what I wanted.. Dr. Lowenguth suggested a laser procedure. Fantastic experience: Due to developing Paget's Disease two years ago, I have had to have many of my teeth removed. My dentist advised me to go to an Oral Surgeon to have three of the more difficult molars removed. I chose Roc Perio & Implants, and Dr. Phillips in particular. He is an excellent Oral Surgeon and made my experience as painless as possible. I was also impressed with the assistant, the office staff and treatment rooms.

Fantastic experience: My dentist recommended Roc Perio and Dr. Lowenguth. I needed an extraction and I'm going to have 2 implants done. My anxiety and fear about this work was ridiculously high after having bad experiences with other dentists. Dr. Lowenguth listened to me, she was patient with me and not judgemental. She took lots of time and made the extraction experience as pleasant as it could be. She sent me home with a "goodie bag" of things to aid in my recovery. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Lowenguth for many, many years. Perhaps 20? I was referred to her years ago by my general dentist for gum surgery. Over the years, Dr. Roxanne and her team have performed one gum surgery, one scaling procedure, one implant, three extractions, and two or three bone grafts. I also have periodontal cleaning twice a year by her excellent dental hygienist , Michelle. I have had pretty severe dental anxiety, but was always treated with kindness, professionalism and respect. I have no qualms about any future serious dental work because of Dr. Roxanne's care. I will never forget that I had to cancel an appointment with her in April of 2010, because my mother died. Her office sent a sympathy card with all of the employees signing it. How many dental offices would do that? Dr. Lowenguth is an exceptional dental specialist, with a wonderful team of people that work with her side by side.

Positive experience: My general dentist contacted Dr. Sheng to see me due to pain on a two molars that had root canals and bad infection and needed to have extracted. They automatically scheduled me in asap and were wonderful until I asked to discussed pricing first for procedure. I was grossly disappointed because I have two great dental plans and prices after insurance was still much higher than I anticipated over 2k without implant just removal & bone grafting. And I felt I kinda arm stronged into things also if I canceled surgery appt less than a week. I would have to pay 250.00 cancelation fee. They scheduled me a week away. Not giving me a chance to see what else my insurance could do for me or get my predetermination back. I'm so upset and disappointed. Truely lovely practice and people but really didnt feel some of their pricing policies were fair for patience on a budget and very high due to being private practice.

Fantastic experience: My implant surgery a couple weeks ago could not have gone more successful or beautifully. With state of the art procedures and the mastery of Dr. Lowenguth, I had a painless experience. I was anticipating at least a little pain during recovery but had none! Fantastic experience: I was referred to Roc Perio for a gum graft in March 2023, where I first met Dr Shang. She walked me through what to expect and answered all my questions. When I learned she would be my surgeon, I felt immediately at ease. After the surgery, Dr Shang gave me her cell number to use during my recovery. When I got nervous about my prognosis, she made time for a same day appointment to ease my nerves. Above and beyond! The surgery was a success, and 6 months later, still doing great! Fantastic experience: No one thinks they have gum disease but ask your dentist if you have "pockets" and if you do, you may have gum disease particularly if you were ever a smoker. I drive 2 hours each way to go to Dr. Shang at ROC Perio because of her level of professionalism. First, my dental insurance isn't great but what it doesn't cover ROC Perio bills at the insurance rate. (Cool!) Second, I'm NEVER sitting in the waiting room past my appt. time.(Respect for patient's time) Third, Dr. Shang points to bone loss on my x-rays (YIKES!) and talks about implants but then works to save the teeth that I have in spite of the bone loss (Thank you!). The procedure takes less than an hour and if it helps me keep my teeth, I'll do it as often as I need to and as long as Dr. Shang is at ROC Perio, I'll keep driving 2 hours each way. Thanks to all of you!

Fantastic experience: Dr.Roxanne and her staff are absolutely exceptional. Matt and Adam were so very helpful and gave me so much confidence, calming and information. These procedures are frightening and I came away delighted and amazed. The people skills are great-as are the professional skills !!! While the implant visit was taking place, the noises and vibrations were like jackhammers ! But absolutely NO pain . Great awareness of comfort of patient ! The healing was also very good. Fantastic experience: Would recommend 10/10 – the team was very accommodating. I was referred by my orthodontist for laser to reduce the gum line. It was not bad as I thought it would be – felt at ease the whole time and relatively painless. Dr. Shang took her time, explained the process before and after, and was very assuring. I was presented with the option between this referral and the dentist I worked for (at the time)- if I had to do it again, I trust Dr. Shang.

Fantastic experience: When I say my entire experience with Dr. Lowenguth and her team was a 10/10... that's an understatement. It exceeded all my expectations. I live in Buffalo, NY, and was told by another doctor here that I needed gum grafting surgery. Being immunocompromised I was worried about recovery etc. so I started to look into other options. I heard about pinhole surgery through a family member and after a good amount of research, I went to ROC Perio & Implants and Dr. Lowenguth. It was the BEST decision. She spent time with me during the consultation going over all my options. I scheduled the pinhole procedure and on the day of the surgery, everything went so smoothly. Dr. Lowenguth and Matt were so accommodating (I get nervous with dental work- who doesn't) and they explained everything step by step. Zero bruising. Recovery time flew by. Healing was great. I happily made the drive from Buffalo to Rochester for each follow-up and I am so happy with the results. Roots are covered. Gums are good. All pain and sensitivity are gone. I really am so grateful for Dr. Lowenguth and her team (Matt, Adam, and everyone else). I'll never go to anyone else for my perio needs. I feel lucky I found them. She's an awesome doctor who is insanely smart and great at what she does. Beyond thankful for ya'll!!

Fantastic experience: I just had the best experience with Dr Shang and Lani. I was expecting an extensive amount of work on my tooth and a lot of discomfort. Dr Shang explained everything clearly to me and the different things that could happen. She was able to fix my problem and I have no discomfort. I highly recommend Dr Shang and this practice. The front desk staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shang is fantastic! At the age of 34, I still had a baby tooth that had started to cause me some pain. I get very anxious with dental work/procedures and usually get conscious sedation for cavities. I was nervous walking in to Roc Perio for the first time, not knowing what to expect. I was able to get through the process just fine, without anything sedating. Dr. Shang was great and talked me through every step of the tooth removal, bone graft and implant beforehand and while she was working on me. The techs and rest of the staff were all amazing as well. I have no complaints about my experience there and i’ve had 5-6 appts in the past year. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Everything about my experience here was positive. Dr. Shang is kind, patient, understanding and professional. All of the staff are nice, helpful and upbeat. I had a broken tooth pulled and an implant put in. I had no pain at all. Dr. Shang and staff made sure I was comfortable. I have a fair amount of anxiety about the dentist and honestly, this was by far my best experience so far!

Fantastic experience: I needed some extractions done and have always had high anxiety about any type of dental procedures. I was given the option of conscious sedation and the extraction process was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. All staff involved were wonderful, non judgemental, and really put me at ease throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough good things about Roc Perio.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this office highly enough. I needed a dental implant which required a bone graft first and I was very nervous about these procedures. From the minute Dr. Shang started, I felt like I was in capable, skilled hands. I never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room, the procedures themselves were over quickly, I didn’t experience any pain or discomfort, the follow-up care is thorough, and the office staff are friendly and nice. I will definitely come back for any future issues and recommend this location to anyone who is nervous about dental work.

Positive experience: Dr Lowenguth and her assistant (sorry forgot her name but not her humor !) we're Spot On with my procedure for 2 implants from start to finish. Pain management,patience ,humor, and follow up were top top shelf...Highly recommended....don't settle for second rate hacks out there ...go to the best The only 'ding' would be that there system seems to have glitch or disconnect in getting any meds needed to our pharmacy....Thier system shows Rx was placed ...but pharmacy never got it
