Fantastic experience: Due to childcare, I ended up having to bring my baby along for my initial consultation - Dr. B was incredibly kind and held him during all the x-rays! Morgan was very efficient and detail-oriented for the history and initial exam/pictures and x-rays, and Dr. Tran walked me through the results and next steps (also baby loved watching him do the exam ). Happy to have found a great office for our family!

Fantastic experience: I was extremely nervous about going to another dentist after my negative past experience elsewhere. I cannot recommend Lilac Family Dental enough. I was treated with kindness and compassion. I felt amazing walking out knowing exactly what needs to be done and that I finally have a practice that cares about me and also is willing to phase treatments to work with you and your personal needs. I couldn’t be happier with my experience :-)

Negative experience: Scheduled back in the Fall for only a cleaning for $125. Arrived today to be met with a hard sell like I'm a first-time patient. When I made the appointment, I was very explicit about only needing a cleaning and that was confirmed. They wanted me to enroll in their plan, which is $325 for an individual. They lied to me in the Fall, 6-ish months ago. Avoid this place; waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Incredible friendly and helpful staff. They took me in for a new Crown when my usual Dentist was unavailable. I was in and out in exactly 3 hours.

Fantastic experience: Very professional and and comfortably friendly. the doctors and technicians are very knowledgeable and do not pressure you to add more dental work if not necessary. The dental group appears to be as prompt as they can bet to lead to finishing the service needed.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is always very welcoming and makes you feel relaxed. The process to check in and out is easy. The office is immaculately clean but not like a sterile office. They support the community and have fun events during the year to celebrate their patients. I highly recommend Lilac Family Dental and referred them anytime I am asked for suggestions.

Negative experience: I rarely leave reviews like this, but my experience here was so unbelievable, I feel the need to warn others to find another practice. I made an appointment here as a new patient. Their office policy is to have you schedule two separate appointments - at the first appointment, you meet with the dentist and they look at your teeth and determine what work needs to be done. The second appointment on a different day is your cleaning. I’ve never been scheduled like this as a new patient at any dentist practice across multiple states, but just went with it. At my appointment, my old practice had not sent over my prior x-rays, and I wasn’t sure if it had been more than a year since they were taken one. The hygienist asked if we could just take more today, to which I replied “I don’t want a surprise bill for $500.” Her reply was that “it would probably only be around $150.“ Who wants to pay $150 for a service that insurance typically covers if it’s been more than a year? She essentially scoffed and rolled her eyes when I told her I still didn’t want a bill for $150. So that was uncomfortable, but whatever, that can be overlooked. What cannot be overlooked is the fact that the dentist came in, examined my teeth and took photos (not x-rays), and informed me that I essentially had at least two spots on the majority of my molars that needed fillings/treatment. Interestingly, he was hesitant to use the word cavity. He advised that we would need to schedule about three appointments for the work and that during each appointment they would work on 2 to 3 spots and the appointment would take approximately 2 to 3 hours each. To say I was shocked as an understatement, considering at my last cleaning at a different practice in another state six months ago, everything was fine. I decided to go to another office for a second opinion where x-rays were taken, and guess what? I don’t have a single cavity. Maybe one or two spots to keep an eye on but nothing that needs filling. If the dentist at Lilac Family Dental had said, “listen, we really need x-rays to make a care plan for you, let’s reschedule either once we get your prior records or once we’ve checked with insurance,” that would’ve been absolutely fine. But to make a care plan without any x-rays and just from looking at teeth, when that plan is essentially just drill, baby drill, is completely irresponsible, not in a patient’s best interest, and feels like a total money grab by the practice. The fact that they make you come in for an appointment just to “make a treatment plan for your teeth” when you have no complaints is bizarre and a red flag. As a healthcare provider myself, I am so disgusted and disappointed with the way this practice seems to prioritize making money over doing what’s best for their patients. And for anyone wondering, I did my second opinion at Silver Maple Dental, and it was absolutely fabulous. You are seen by the dentist and for a cleaning in the same visit, they are comprehensive, kind, and actually have the patient’s best interest at heart . Unless you enjoy unnecessary and extensive dental work, I would look elsewhere for a dentist.

Positive experience: Very modern with a pleasant staff. Dr.Tran is very nice and explained everything to me that he thinks I need to have done.

Negative experience: I was overcharged and the company after being proven to have scammed me from an insurance pay out, offered credits, despite the fact I would never return here and recommend others to either not come here or keep an eye out for how they handle your insurance

I have a bad time with dentists because they allways refer me to an orthodontist when I didn’t ask for it or they do it out of the blue. This team asked me if there was anything I would change about my smile and I said no . They immediately dropped the subject which I’ve never had at a dental office. These people are awesome

Fantastic experience: Lilac Family Dental is the answer to many questions! If you have anxiety and fear due to past experiences elsewhere, they will help you through it and rid you of fear. If you need calm, you can have a spa-like cleaning. I love lavender and soft music. If you have sensitive teeth, you can have warm water. If you need a crown , it is not a multiple appointment, outsourcing ordeal. It can be done in one appointment, made in house! If you need a sleep apnea mouthpiece, you are at the right place. Teeth whitening? Right here! Invisalign braces? Right here! At Lilac, you are ALWAYS respected, treated like you belong, your concerns are heard, and you will love your results! Fantastic experience: Lilac Family Dental has been a great dentist office for me. I had a dental emergency two days ago, and they got me in quickly to resolve my issue. The front desk receptionists are pleasant and friendly, and they do a thorough job explaining things. The dental team- everyone involved - is skilled, calming, and explain anything and everything. I have never felt judgment from them, and when I started going, my teeth were not in good shape to say the least. They are a wonderful dental practice, especially for people like me who have had dentist anxiety in the past - I 100% recommend them.

I recently had to have an urgent appointment and they did everything they could to schedule me that day so that my issue could be addressed in a timely way and I was able to attend a very important event. Positive experience: Sidewalk solid ice and snow. Obviously never attended to properly. An issue I had with an infection was not taken care of prior to appointment. Got solved but still not great.

Negative experience: I’ve never written a negative review of any kind buy I feel the need to share my negative experiences this time. I loved Lilac Family Dental when my family began seeing a dentist there. The decline in our experience there has been extreme and downright disappointing. From billing mishaps and inadequate communication to cleanings being repeatedly cancelled by the office and promised return phone calls never happening, my frustration is absolutely justified. When communicating with the office regarding all the aforementioned concerns and explaining that we do not feel valued, I received the response “ok” confirming that they do not value me or my family as customers. It is unfortunate considering the hygienists and dentists that we have dealt with are always polite and are generally friendly and we have received quality dental work while being patients there. Moving on is clearly overdue for us.

Negative experience: Great care- once you get in the chair. Office staff consistently changes appointment times without any notification or courtesy towards patient’s own schedule. It is not uncommon to arrive to find not only is your appointment time changed but the actual date as well. Blank stare and no apology does not help. Repeating the new information does not help or excuse this business practice.The reminder sent does not arrive in time for us to know there has been a date change and we arrive based on the information we have at the original time we scheduled.

Negative experience: They rarely answer the phone. I have made 5 phone calls, left 3 VMs, and when I did get through, left a verbal message with Anna requesting a call back from the office manager. It has been weeks and I have yet to hear back. I now have submitted 2 messages through their online request for info form.... and have not heard back. In my experience, they are less concerned about the dental well being of their patients and more concerned about what kind of insurance you carry. Despite that fact that I have always paid for services rendered on time, or even before hand, they economically discriminate ! Zero stars!! Just was told that Dr. Brunelle was previously with Flower City Dental, if so... that speaks VOLUMES!

Negative experience: Had fillings done here, had to get them ALL redone due to, what my new dentist described as, "amateur mistakes". Wish i could get back the hundreds of dollars i paid out of pocket to have them done.

Fantastic experience: Had a slight problem with lower molars today called the office and got in at 8am. X-rays and saw Dr. Kloc they provided a plan for me to get a bridge on the lower right bottom of my mouth. Everyone is nice and efficient and you always leave with a plan. Thanks Lilac Dental!

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and doctors! I have had problems with my teeth since I was a child and have never found a dentist properly equipped to handle them, until now. They talked me through everything and worked with me to make a plan I feel comfortable with, they were incredibly empathetic when I had some bad anxiety at the office, the actual dental work they've done has been stellar and completely hassle free, and everyone I've interacted with there has been so kind, friendly, and welcoming. Can't recommend them enough and they have a happy client for life!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience, I had a tooth filled by another dentist and it had been hurting me for a while and they wouldn't fix it. I came to Lilac and they told me they could redo it, it doesn't hurt anymore!! So glad i found them.

Negative experience: Care has gone way down hill. Went recently for a cleaning. Of course they have to do X-rays and an exam for the extra money. The technician could barely figure out how to use the two X-ray machines. The dental Hygienist indicated 2 teeth were loose and the dentist referred me to Progressive Dental. Progressive recommended $4000 worth of work. They said said that they barely see the X-rays. The rest on Progressive Dental is a separate review. I went to Eastman Dental they said the impacted teeth were not infected and no action was needed. Maybe X-rays should have been taken correctly and the technician trained correctly. Don't be fooled by a lot of the positive review. They give you a chance to win prizes for positive reviews. Not going back.

I felt so well informed about all the different things that could be going on with my mouth. The dental assistant who helped me was great. I had no idea my jaw and clenching could be associated with sleep issues. Dr. Kloc was fantastic and so courteous. Fantastic experience: I Love Lilac Family Dental. The entire staff is patient focused, kind and welcoming. I have also been impressed with their safety measures during the pandemic. I was hesitant at first to keep my appointment for a cleaning but after learning of their safety protocols (and then seeing them once there) I felt very at ease and confident they were doing what was necessary to keep people safe.

Fantastic experience: Had an emergency with a badly broken tooth. My "old" dentist office wouldn't get me in until march. I called Lilac Family Dental following a co-worker's recommendation. An hour later I was in the office getting my broken tooth repaired. I was in and out in just about an hour and the staff from the front office to Dr. Clock were wonderful, very understanding and accommodating. I would recommend Lilac Family Dental to friends and family and now they are my regular dental office.

Fantastic experience: It is a rare dental office indeed that could inspire a patient to look forward to a scheduled appointment, but that is exactly how I feel about Lilac Family Dental. The entire staff--hygienists, dentists, and office personnel--go out of their way to be warm and welcoming from the moment anyone arrives. They don't rush their patients, and they explain impending procedures thoroughly while using a tv screen that displays that patient's mouth. All this, coupled with the lovely lilac-colored chairs in each immaculate examination room and the state-of-the-art equipment, assures any patient that he or she is in highly competent hands. I enthusiastically recommend Lilac Family Dental to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently moved to Rochester and I am so glad I found this dentist office! The office itself is clean, organized, and beautiful. The staff and receptionist always have positive attitudes. They go above and beyond for their clients, as I had a TMJ problem that lasted for a little too long and they got me in to ensure I was okay last minute.

Here you can forget about fear with the friendly staff who is welcoming and personable. The most important thing is that the job they do are great and professional.
