Fantastic experience: Eric Wendelschafer is a wonderful dentist in Surprise AZ. I had moved from New Mexico 6 years ago and was not satisfied with the dental system here until I tried Great Smiles Dental. The whole office was a pleasant surprise. The front office is very welcoming along with the work of the dental hygentist. A huge array of x-rays were done that were extremely detailed. The crown work that was performed was excellent. I believe I have found a dentist that I can completely trust to do the excellent work that I have been looking for in Surprise.

Negative experience: They use deceitful Tactics And because the receptionist didn't verify my insurance. The correct way? She thought I didn't have insurance. And I can hear her all the way down the hall. Saying she doesn't have insurance. And then the Doctor came and said oh, let's not do today. Because it'll just hurt you anyway. Because he thought I didn't have insurance and then. When I got up to leave, they discovered that I had insurance and want to reschedule me. No thanks.

Fantastic experience: Everyone there at Great Smiles is excellent. I love Dr Eric. He really takes his time with each patient and shows he cares. my hygienist is very gentle and kind. The receptionist is very helpful and assists in everyway she can. I love them all. Only problem I noticed was the noise level. I had an 8am appt so I got there about 7:45. Staff was in the back but it sound like they were having a party! Very loud! And the overhead music was very loud and not soothing at all. I think the music should be mellow to help relax those that get anxious at the dentist. Just my opinion.

Dr Eric is a fabulous dentist and his staff is wonderful! Top-notch hygienist, great checkups, expert root canal and beautiful crowns. His practice has taken care of my family and me for the past three years. This is the dentist you need to see for your dental care! Update - no changes to previous review. Now a very satisfied customer and patient for 5 years. Had dental cleaning today and Dr Eric is replacing a tooth veneer under warranty, no charge.

Fantastic experience: I had a crown done today by Dr. Wendelschafer. I always dread the numbing injection. I did not feel any bit of pain with the numbing needle! This was a first ever that I did not feel the needle! The entire experience from beginning to start was 5-star. All the staff was friendly and professional. Would recommend him highly.

Do Not Be A Hard Brusher especially on the gums. You do not want to separate the gum from the tooth. Great visit and great information. Awesome staff.

Especially the front two teeth making my smile a lot better. Maybe that’s why they call it Great Smiles. I recommend him for you to consider for your dentist.

Fantastic experience: Great, welcoming staff and Dr Wendelschafer! Alway gotten in within 5 mins. of appt time. Very high tech equipment. Have had 2 issues with a crown and he has fixed the problem each time, for no charge! Great dentist ! I recommend them.

Positive experience: Typically they get me in and cleaned quick. But this last visit they requested I show up a half hour early to update my paperwork, which ended up being 1 piece of paper. So I sat in the waiting area for 45 minutes waiting to be seen. They provide great services and haven’t requested I have work done that isn’t necessary, which is greatly appreciated. But I will never show up a half hour early again.

Fantastic experience: Prompt and great care. Dr. Wendelshafer was very patient. I have myasthenia gravis and a fear of choking. He listened and accommodatied me with no hesitation. His assistant was just as great. This turned out to be a nice experience for getting two crowns.

They had a temp assistant taking x-rays, I had to tell her she was using the incorrect arm ring, but hey I’ve made that mistake before. The hygienist is one of the best I’ve ever been to and the DDS was great. This is my new DDS office!

The doctor is passionate about his profession and cares about his patients. He’s not just in it to make a buck. I had worried about a tooth becoming a major issue, but Dr. Wendelschafer solved my problem quickly, easily, and above all, economically! You don’t find many people like him anymore.
