Reflections Dental

Negative experience: I thought about writing this review and decided I needed to let people know what I experienced. I was referred by Dr H for a root canal redo that led to my getting LINGUAL NERVE DAMAGE from that root canal. Most people don't know and most dentists do not warn you that there is always a chance that the needle used to numb you can cause damage to your lingual nerve which can be permanent. In my case, I am still dealing with numbness and altered sensation in my tongue 4 months later, nothing tastes right on the right side of my mouth. No, Dr H did not cause this, although any dentist can. My problem is with how I was handled after. I was, understandably very upset and worried about this as it bothers me daily. After 3 months, the root canal failed and Dr H sent me to an implant Dr to remove the tooth and then put in an implant. Again, I realize I was upset by this whole thing and the prospect of more work on the area that is already damaged on top of the added expense. When I expressed this fear and concern to the implant dentist, he was concerned and wanted me to get another opinion. He sent a note to Dr H to tell me this, but the office never bothered to let me know. I called the implant dentist and was told he would require I get a second opinion and would need to sign something if I moved forward with him that he was not liable for any damage that I had or that I might have. I made an appointment with another implant dentist. I called Reflections at 9:19 am on the morning of my appointment as they got me in that day, and asked they send my xrays to the new dentist. I told them my apt was at 1 pm that same day. By 1:30 pm the xrays never arrived. They did not bother to send them. I had already decided I was done with Reflections Dental after all of this and yesterday I received a letter telling me they no longer wished to be my dentist. I would not return there if they were the only dentist for miles after the way I was treated. Once you have a problem and express your fears and dissatisfaction you are dismissed! I want to warn everyone that Dr H had so little knowledge of lingual nerve damage he actually looked it up in a book. People, do your research is all I can say, be aware of what might happen when you have dental work done as most do not warn you, and this Dr seemed to not really understand what it was. The implant dentist I was sent to told me I should have been on a steroid after the nerve damage was done, but neither the dentist who caused it, nor Dr H knew enough to tell me that. As I said, he did not cause the damage, although he did refer me to the Dr that did, the treatment I received from both him and his office was that of total disregard because I had a REAL problem and reason to be afraid. If you want compassion I suggest you go else where. And... btw Dr H, I never was anything but polite to your team you just didn't want to be included in my complaint to the Board. I did nothing to your staff and my review is informing not retaliative.

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for quite some time! I have always been afraid of going to the dentist. But everyone in the office has made me feel so comfortable and less than my anxiety. I refer all of my friends and family here wouldn’t vouch for something I didn’t believe in. They are all awesome.

Fantastic experience: I have never left a review for anyone until now. I have been a patient at Reflections Dental for many years. I have had several procedures done along with my bi-annual cleanings. In every instance, they have been accommodating, compassionate and professional. I have had more than a few dental “emergencies” requiring root canal’s as well as routine filling replacements and other necessities for an older man. Always prompt, personal phone calls from Doc Hildebrandt and the entire staff ensuring I was taken care of in every circumstance. I would absolutely recommend this practice for anyone requiring dental care.

Fantastic experience: Got to say I lucked out on going to this dental office. I’m new to the area and got lots of flyers in the mail from dental offices. I chose Reflections Dental because it offered a nice introductory offer for new patients and is close to my new home. Samantha, my dental hygienist was great. She was thorough and friendly and was exceptional. All the staff were friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: I had what I thought was a crack in my tooth, but it turned out that I needed two crowns. Kimberly got me in the very next day for an appointment, and I realized that was quite the favor for me. The staff ushered me into the dental area almost immediately. And even Dr Hildebrandt explained why I couldn't just pull a tooth and make it worthwhile. My friend said just pull the tooth but he explained it would affect the rest of my teeth from the pressure I needed to put on while chewing. Also, it would affect my facial features. Dr Hildebrandt and his assistant did a beautiful job on my crowns and worked on me that day. All in all I can't thank you guys enough!

He takes into consideration long term goals, finances, and the treatment best tolerated by the patient but leaves the informed decision up to you. It is apparent that he and the staff operate as a team as they cooperatively support each other in the office. The staff is always professional but personable at the same time as they reflect a sincere warmth in their smiles! Fantastic experience: I recently had my teeth repaired using Bioclear method. This was one option presented and discussed because of the age of my fillings and need to repair one. Although not covered by insurance it was the best option. Dr Hildebrant discussed this and others... no pressure to chose any specific option. Just discussed the facts. Very professional. Trust him over the teats I saw him. It took all day to repair the six teeth but done at one sitting. The staff was great and took their time. I won’t pull strings... was challenging to have this done but the staff made it easier for me. Love the final result. Wife noticed right away... very pleased. So much so she plans to have her teeth done also. Very goog staff... professional.. and safe in this day of COVID. Very pleased. Thanks

Fantastic experience: I called early Monday morning with a tooth issue, and they scheduled me same-day, within a couple of hours of my call. Dr. Hildebrandt was FANTASTIC. He took his time with me, explaining the issue and my options for a more permanent solution, even though I was a last minute addition to his daily schedule. He didn't rush, and I didn't feel rushed - at ALL. The entire staff was great: friendly, understanding, even sympathetic. They took time to make sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. This was my first visit, but will not be my last. I am so appreciative of everyone at Reflections Dental, and I can't recommend them highly enough!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Hildebrandt after getting a couple of dental exams that revealed a partially cracked tooth that could be saved by one of his special procedures. I met with him and I found him to be very nice and patient with me. He did an exam of the tooth and the surrounding teeth and gums, and presented me with a few options and some advice on how to prevent further damage to my teeth. I now have an appointment with him to repair my tooth and to correct another tooth that helped cause the damage. He's got a good sense of humor and a very pleasant staff.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and informative staff. I felt well taken care of, and that I was given an honest and no pressure treatment plan. Dr Hildebrandt explained things to me in an easy to understand and thorough way. My X-rays, cleaning, and payment process were all excellent.

Fantastic experience: I've had several bad experiences with past dentists so when my daughter told me about how much she and her family love Dr Hildebrandt and Reflections Dental I decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did. He was very thorough and explained just what he was doing. He was also honest about a previous procedure which I greatly appreciate. The rooms even have TVs or music to help distract you and relax you. The staff is great and so friendly which helped put me at ease. This is now my go to dentist and have already had friends asking me about it. Happy to recommend Dr Hildebrandt and his office.

Fantastic experience: I was a little apprehensive as I had just switched to this new place because my dentist of over 30 years had the nerve to retire on me. I must say the visit was amazingly comfortable because of the personnel and Dr. Hildebrandt himself. I was treated with ultimate concern about my comfort at all times. The exam was incredibly thorough and I felt like I made some new friends. They communicated with my implant specialist immediately to give more information they gathered. I so appreciated the treatment and will be happy to return.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist in the area. They have high quality equipment, use less invasive methods and through insurance have been the cheapest I've found. The very friendly staff even remember details of our conversations a year later. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Most ethical dental office I've ever met! Went in for a follow-up after a cleaning as they'd suspected a cracked filling. Upon taking a second look Dr. Hildebrandt decided to try and polish it off first. Turned out it was just a deceptive stain and they let me go free of charge. Was floored as any other dentist I've been to in the last 30 years would have kept quiet and gone straight for the "drill and bill" regardless of if it were actually necessary. Needless to say I've found my forever dentist

They are flexible to make you fit on their calendar, can communicate via text if you are unavailable during calls.. which definitely helps! Always friendly. Also, it’s rare to meet a dental hygienist that treats you like family while cleaning your teeth and I love that!
