Fantastic experience: I go and I see her Herlinda Castro In Surprise. She and her staff are amazing. They make sure to get you in when you need to be seen they give you information and they make sure you understand before you leave the visit. Herlinda Castro. Is truly one of a kind she is attentive to her patients. She is very informative and she takes her time to listen. It’s funny that this is now considered the exception of the role versus how this is how it was years ago. she speaks to you as a human and make sure that she has you doing exactly what you need to do to make you better. From her MA to the girls in the front to everyone that works in the office like a We’ll greased Machine thank you. I started to recommend her To several people and then I said, I have to stop because everyone’s gonna come to see her and I won’t be able to get an appointment lol, in all seriousness, I have a lot of conditions and I have an illness there’s no cure for and Hirlinda Castro and her staff go above and beyond to make sure they understand what my conditions are, and they inform them self So they can better treat me and all of their patients. thank you so much Herlinda Castro, her staff ,and her MAs at the Adelante and Surprise Thank you so much and please don’t change. You are valued you are amazing as a team and I’m so sorry if people can’t see that. do not change who you are. continue being kind, Continue being patient, every single one of your patience. Fantastic experience: I have been very pleased with Adelante dental in Surprise. I experience high dental anxiety and their staff really makes me feel calm. The wait to get an appointment is a bit long but it is worth the wait. The work is great and they are fast on getting me in a room. I tried to make an appointment today and it was far out but I am ok to wait when I am sure I will Receive great care.

Negative experience: My boyfriend went to Adelante to see Fransica Olibarria, FNP for a first time patient physical exam. The front desk employees were adequate and the MA was wonderful. The doctor was extremely passive and rushed the entire time she spoke. She did not exam my boyfriend beyond checking his heart and lungs. She left the room without warning and never returned. The MA informed that my boyfriend was good to go even though he had not finished discussing his concerns. After requesting the doctor return and explaining briefly his concerns to the MA, she did not return. She sent him off with a referral. She also misgendered him in the hallway, the walls are thin. I also see other providers at Adelante who are wonderful, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Negative experience: These people at Adelante Health sold my info the a 3rd party. Chart Span. Chart Span called me and pretended to be The Dr. Office. 5 min. on the phone I was confused about there end game. And then they started talking about a monthly charge to Medicare. I was like what? " I didn't join a gym, what is a monthly charge? I told them clearly no. But they have my chart. My Medicare # my contact info. They told me at the start of the call my Address, That is a HIPPAA violation. I called Medicare to open a file for Medicare fraud. And they have started investigation for fraud. This is not to mention that it took 4 phone calls and 4 weeks to fill a simple script. These people are dangerous. Protect yourself and stay far away from these clowns.

Negative experience: Update: received a bill for $75 after I paid 100 for visit + $30 for Antibiotics that didn’t work and I ended up at the ER 3 days later. Thought it was an affordable place that helped people without insurance. Wouldn’t bother going here! It will end up costing you more $ than it’s worth!

Negative experience: How would you rate a doctor that waits 5 days after filling a prescription for an intestinal infection to call you to say the script is "Being filled" . Yes that was written & filled on a Friday and called me the following TUESDAY! plus the PA only gave me 1 part of a 3 part test and thanks to the Sonora Quest they gave me the other 2 parts to complete it with. Meant another day delayed for results and two trips to the lab. Incompetent is my assessment of this place.

Negative experience: It’s a good facility but, don’t expect your drs to ever be on time they want us early but the dr will not get back to your room until 30 mins after your set time! Always even when you arrive 15 mins early. Why aren’t the rules same to them! There always late !’? Long waits short period of visits ridiculous and there always trying to say you owe when you paid up front always keep your receipts; do better. I have other things to do and drs takes all and that’s only to WAIT in the rooms and out of the rooms.

Negative experience: Zero stars for incompetency, if possible. Confirmed by ER triage after Adelante visit when I was taking a wicked turn with fluid in my lungs: pneumonia. Adelente's perspective: "We want an x-ray and CT scan and then come back in two weeks". My perspective: Adelente was worthless as pneumonia can kill people that are older like me. "Two weeks." Right. Diplomatically two-word response: "Never again."

Negative experience: The worst place to receive healthcare! I had issues with the front office staff as well as my provider. The front office failed to let me know that my appointment had been canceled due to the provider changing her lunchtime. They told me I could be seen an hour and 25 minutes from my original time, to which I said no. They then violated HIPAA by discussing my prescribed medication within earshot of the entire waiting room, and even shouted across the waiting room to me, “was it for the _____?” Additionally, the provider I had absolutely failed me during a sick visit. I went in for a sinus infection and disclosed in my paperwork that I am pregnant. After she confirmed that it was indeed a sinus infection, she prescribed me amoxicillin. I asked if it was safe to take during pregnancy since it wasn’t discussed at all during my visit. She said she didn’t know I was pregnant should have went to my OB. I was a little dumbfounded by this because what kind of care is that? To top it off, when I got my end of visit summary paperwork, she prescribed something other than amoxicillin ‍♀️ Adelante then sent me ANOTHER bill on top of the copay I paid the same day. Literally go anywhere else.

Negative experience: I cannot recommend this facility—or other Adelante clinics—based on my recent experience. Scheduling an appointment for my two-year-old required more than 25 minutes on the phone just to reach someone, and there is no alternative communication method apart from visiting in person, which is inconvenient. I would suggest considering other clinics if possible.

Negative experience: This is the worst with customer service and Dr. patient communication. I need my medications and I have sent messages through the portal and even walked in to see why I can't get my medication . I was told Dr. Jalicia Sturdivant was going to fill it. Went to pick it up 24 hrs later and still no meds . I'm going on a week . What ever you don't see her .

Negative experience: My entire experience with Adalante Healthcare has been a nightmare from start to finish. I was recommended Adalante from a friend of mine, and her experience wasn’t too great either from when I went with her to her consult. She was a better sport about it than I was, but we arrived early for her appointment for paperwork. Once called back though, we waited over an hour and a half to see the doctor. I still wanted to give this place an honest try outside of that experience, so I did. I regret that decision greatly. First off, my wait time was similar to that of my friend’s, with about an hour of just sitting in a small office space waiting for the doctor to show. Second, I attempted to get an IUD, but the first attempt failed since the doctor said my cervix was too small. She gave me some medications to dilate it and another for pain management come the next attempt. We tried it again, but again, she said it was too small for an IUD. My boyfriend came with me to both my visits, and he said he’s never heard of that before. We ended up paying $40 for each visit despite getting nothing out of it ($80 total) and went to share this information with women in our lives for their opinions. They all agreed and said they never heard of this before, and to be frank, I’m a bigger woman. I know women with smaller frames than me who have the IUD, women who haven’t had children yet too, but the doctor essentially told me I can rule out the possibility of getting one until I have children. I’m getting a second opinion from another doctor with more experience under their belt, with all due respect, because that procedure was incredibly painful to go through twice just to be told the reason behind it wasn’t one commonly heard before. So keep this in mind if you’re attempting to get an IUD here. My last complaint is the amount of notifications I’ve received over the course of my care. I’ve been repeatedly called and texted over appointment times, insurance, etc. but it’s too repetitive for it to be considered normal. Does nobody in that office actually talk to each other, or mark anything down in anyone’s charts? Why are two different representatives calling me four times a day for something I’ve already confirmed/explained? It’s ridiculous and excessive. I won’t be coming back to this location, and I strongly urge anyone who’s read my review this far to find somewhere more adequate, because this felt like a huge waste of time and money. Update: I ended up receiving an additional bill in the mail for them simply testing my urine samples, and they ended up with another $55 USD from me. Thanks for nothing, Adelante!

Negative experience: My experience at this doctor’s office was extremely disappointing. Throughout the entire visit, it felt like the staff was focused on upselling me on anxiety or depression medications based on the questionnaire I filled out and the repeated questions they asked. Considering they are connected to the behavioral health clinic in the same building, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t considered a “profitable” patient since I didn’t need any prescriptions. I also found it strange that they kept pushing the option for me to use their in house pharmacy. The overall environment felt chaotic and poorly organized, and the parking situation was a mess. The whole experience reminded me of dealing with an overcrowded government office definitely not what I expected, especially as someone with private insurance. I left feeling uncomfortable and unsatisfied with my care. This place felt super corporate and less personable

Negative experience: Sometime we are deeply sorry does t cut it in their pre made responses. This place truly sucks every time I'm there it's at least 1.5 hours. Wrong blood tests never send referrals till weeks later and that's only because you call. I'm only staying to hopefully get cleared for a surgery for a pituitary tumor that they are dragging their feet on.

Negative experience: I waited well over a month to get in with OBGYN here, then showed for my appointment and was told it was cancelled and needed to be rebooked. I was supposed to have lab work done and have had serious concerns. I never had one pleasant experience with them on the phone scheduling the appointment or when I showed up. I am very disappointed to say the least.

Negative experience: Love the NP Francisca. The front and back office staff is the worst. Their patient portal is the worst. You type in a message and nobody gets back to you. You ask a simple medical question and nobody can answer it. Don’t have anything faxed to them because nobody can find anything. You need to go in with your questions or what you need and don’t leave until you get what you went for otherwise when you call, you get someone who doesn’t know anything about anything. This is a sign of bad management.

Negative experience: This is for Elaine in Financial. I had an appointment scheduled with her at 8:30am. She didn’t bother to call until 8:43. I immediately called back at 8:44 (proof in my screenshots) and was told I’d have to book another appointment—even though she was the one who was late. The next available slot? Another 4 days out. It already took 4 days just to get this one. So let’s get this straight: they can be late, but if you don’t catch the call instantly, you’re punished with another week-long delay. That’s how they treat people. When I called back right away, she brushed me off with “I’m already on another call.” Completely unacceptable. This is HORRIBLE service. In healthcare, people’s time and well-being should matter. Elaine clearly doesn’t care, and her attitude shows she should not be in a role dealing with patients or financial needs. I will be calling the complaint line, but reviews like this need to be public because others deserve to know how poorly they operate.

Fantastic experience: This review is for the Behavior health department at surprise, specifically the girl working the front desk. My provider has called out almost my last 3 appointments I’ve had with her. The office woman called me to let me know AGAIN that she was out due to personal reasons. The care that went into her even trying to help me, was beyond words. I told her I wanted to see someone new. She asked me my preference if in person or virtual, location, male or female, times I’d like my appointment etc and told me she would call back in the morning, since it was close to closing. She told me she would do the best to find me a provider to fit all my check marks and she sure did. I had my first appointment last week and she even called the next day to make sure I was happy with the provider and checking if it went well. Thank you for everything! Most places won’t even do a call back let alone go above and beyond like she did!

Positive experience: Normally I'm pretty happy with adelante in general with everything. But lately the last like 4 or 5 appointments I've been to, it being me or my kids, you guys have kept us waiting well past an hr. It's stressful, especially with kids. Negative experience: Staff can be heard talking about patients in the hall. (HIPAA?) They did not send any of the papers to the other offices they told me to go nor did they fill the prescription or give it to me to fill myself, which cost several valuable days. imaging results were sent Friday/Monday now it’s Thursday of the following week still no callback even though they said they would call as soon as the reports were in. If you do go here, you really have to take charge of your situation and not trust them to look out for you.

Negative experience: My daughter asked if she could do therapy to help with anxiety issues she has been having. I agreed and got her an appointment for an intake. During the intake, the lady asks my daughter if she has been verbally, physically, or mentally abused and my daughter tells her that my ex-boyfriend (not her father) yelled at her once. The lady then tells me in front of my child that she is going to call CPS and file a report of abuse against ME. For my ex, yelling at my daughter once, 8 years ago. I clarify what she said and she told me if I had a problem to take it up with her supervisor. I sure tried to. I called into the office. Waited on hold for 30 mins before I finally talked to someone. They then told me the supervisor was available and put me on hold to transfer me to her. I waited on hold for 30 mins before someone came on and told me that they would call me back. I never got a call back. It’s been hours now. Now, not only do I think that reporting me for abuse for someone that is no longer part of my life yelling at my kid a long time ago is ridiculous. I was getting my kid therapy for anxiety and then in front of her this lady accuses me of abuse and says she is reporting me to authorities. I’m DEVASTATED for my daughter. Even if she “has” to report a kid being yelled at several years ago, she could have asked to speak to me away from my daughter. I’m disgusted with how this is being handled.

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience with Adelante Healthcare. I am new to AZ, and was trying to find an OBGYN to be established as a new patient. I was told over the phone that as a cash patient the charge to be seen would be a $100 deposit, plus lab fees. At no time did anyone tell me that actually the charge could be anywhere from $88-250. (That is on paperwork you sign when you get there.) Additionally, they did not tell me that being established as a new patient would be considered a "preventative visit" and would therefore be a higher charge. Lastly, lab tests were ordered for me that I did not authorize and I did not need but I got billed for. I got billed a total of $592 for what I thought was a routine well women's exam. $222 for the well women's exam and $370.74 for labs ($180 of which I was able to to get the charges reversed) I think they are accustomed to billing insurance companies, and not used to cash patients questioning their bills. In my opinion they are not transparent with their charges, they overcharge and I would not recommend them.

Negative experience: If I could give them negative stars I would! They waited basically a month to give me my test results, mind you that was after I had been calling them for weeks on end, for them to give me my results on a phone call that I MADE, to tell me I was positive for a bacterial infection that was contagious. I had been feeling sick and went to the hospital and no one knew what it was but Adelante knew this whole time and they took a whole month to wait for me to call them so that they can finally give me my test results. Do not go here, find another clinic, please!

Negative experience: I am deeply disturbed by my experience with Dr. Gill at Adelante Healthcare. During a follow-up appointment related to FMLA/short-term disability for anxiety—originally approved due to my father’s terminal illness Dr. Gill dismissed my concerns, interrogated me aggressively, and outright laughed when I attempted to explain recent communication issues with behavioral health. My father has since passed, and I’ve been coping with severe anxiety and panic attacks. Rather than offer support or compassion, he questioned my diagnosis (despite personally signing off on it two years ago), invalidated my experience, and made me feel belittled, emotionally unsafe, and retraumatized during a medically sensitive process. His actions reflect a gross lack of empathy, clinical insensitivity, and potential ethical misconduct in dealing with mental health patients. This kind of behavior is not only unacceptable it’s dangerous. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Arizona Medical Board and Adelante’s internal reporting system via EthicsPoint. I urge other patients especially those dealing with trauma, grief, or mental health challenges to reconsider before trusting their care to this provider.

Negative experience: I ALMOST DIED THEY SAID TAKE FOLIC ACID My partner died from no care. So I was almost screaming, that I need help, and they said we already gave you the medicine. It was the WRONG ONE. Take folic acid too….They never checked certain levels in my body, and I’m not telling them now …here what it was. One of the levels of my body was a complete zero. 15 woukd be DANGEROUS. i was at 0. And another thing, they never recheck my cholesterol, which was high on top of everything. Dr. Tapia missed it. And so did the gynecologist there. I’m recovering slowly under new care. When I told the new doctor that he told me to take folic acid, she tried to maintain a professional demeanor appearance. Adelante did not have my best interest in mind.

Negative experience: I would give negative stars if I could good grief this clinic and staff are the absolute worst and most incompetent people!!! Believe the reviews written!! I was jerked around so much by these people for the simplest treatment to what I told them I believe I have and in the end I was right and got the Rx somewhere else bc “Dr” Emily Neuman doesn’t do her job correctly. In the end I ended up paying for a pointless visit, pointless medication that didn’t help and sent a bill from lab corp for the wrong test… I WILL be reporting this practice and Neuman to the board. I’ve never experienced such incompetency.

Negative experience: It’s so hard to get through on the phone with these people. You choose the option to have someone call you back, then they take forever finding a triage nurse. It’s ridiculous. Edit: now holding again for another nurse. 20 minutes later.. To elaborate, my 8 month old fell and hit his head and we just wanted suggestions and guidance as to what to do and if we needed to bring him somewhere. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I've called and it's taken FOREVER to get a call back. One time the doctor didn't call me until 3-4 days later. Edit to comment on the response. No, I'm not reaching out...you would have to change the way you do business when someone calls entirely, and I highly doubt you will do that from my one complaint, although I know others have the same complaint. Do better when I call, and I'll think about changing my review. And that is if I don't switch pediatricians before then. You already had your chance. 3/1/2025 - I’m trying to call again, and I just get put on hold as soon as I try to call. I’d like to talk about my sick child who is coughing. Getting placed on hold and not being able to speak to someone when I call my child’s doctors office is less than ideal. 11/18/2024 - Trying to call back because I missed a call and now on hold for 15 minutes and still waiting. It is ridiculous that it takes this long to talk to someone. 4/14 - Trying to just confirm an appointment time and took over 20 minutes on hold. I really need to switch pediatricians, I tried but the ones I want to go to aren’t accepting new patients.

Negative experience: ***WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!*** My wife brought our 8 year old little boy today for ADHD. ( 4-2-25) We are switching doctors due to the aggressive response. They were really pushy about putting our son on Ritalin which is basically synthetic meth. Then began trying belittle my wife going pass boundaries of patient care giving their own opinion on how my wife should handle the situation and telling us we are basically being selfish because his teacher and class mates don’t deserves to deal with his ADHD.. Negative experience: Saw Merlie Quinores at this location as my primary care doctor. I’ve been seen by her 4 times for back and neck pain. The last time I went she didn’t even remember who I was and asked all the wrong questions. She is not a thorough doctor and my appointments were all useless. I had to go back and forth just to get muscle relaxers ibuprofen and she only sends two weeks worth at a time. She also barely gave me the steroid z pack when I was having a flare up because she said it’s not good for the kidneys? She does not listen well. She walks out of the room without saying what she’s going to do or order or even have a nice day. I sit waiting for her to greet me longer than she’s in the room with me. I would not recommend this location. I finally was able to switch primary care doctors and it is a huge difference in treatment. I went to a new doctor had my new patient appointment doctor was very thorough, asked all the right questions, did a physical, ordered blood work and urine and wrote me 120 pills of ibuprofen and muscle relaxers without even asking. Things she’s never done even after four visits. New doctor made me realize she’s doing everything wrong and there’s a drastic difference.

Negative experience: I moved to the area a couple years ago and this was the only health center I could find that was taking new patients. That should have been a read flag. Communicating or calling is an exercise in frustration. I tried to sign up for the portal to help but it took forever to get thru all the phone prompts only to be put on hold for 40 mins before giving up. I've only been in the office three times in the last 2 years b/c of how difficult it is to schedule an apt. The first PA was awful and I had to request a new one. The PA I have now is fine but I can hear everything that is going on in the next couple rooms - so much for HIPAA. There was a mystery charge on my account and no one at the office could explain what it was for. I finally just paid it to avoid a hit on my credit rating. Take a look at all their 1 and 2 star reviews before selecting an Adelante care provider. UPDATE: I'm trying to simply get an email invitation to create an account on the portal. After 40 minutes, finally get a human on the phone and guess what! THE PORTAL IS DOWN. . . and was told to call back. This place is a joke.

Positive experience: We LOVE our pediatrician Dr. Liburd. She is a fantastic listener and always addresses our concerns. She is never rushed and always patient. I do not recommend Care Today in Surprise. I have been twice and both times we saw Paula Piccoli. Our first visit was for my 3 year old who was in a lot of pain from a full body rash. She was judgmental and impatient with his crying. My second visit was for myself and she did not listen to my concerns and minimized my symptoms. Her exams are not thorough and she does not seem happy to be working in healthcare.

Negative experience: Dr Harper is one of the best OBGYNS this location has. Unfortunately, Dr Harper is out. Dr Nina Ulrich then took over doing my IUD procedure , it was the worst experience ever. You can tell she was already upset and then when she was doing the procedure she kept saying she couldn’t do it and then gave up. Don’t ever come here to do an IUD with her. Terrible Dr.

Negative experience: DON’T GO HERE! Or any of there other locations. I was supposed to get referred to a pelvic pain specialist, I never got referred or heard back from them. Also I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids and the gynecology pushed me to take IUD which made my symptoms worse than better instead referring me to a surgeon.

Negative experience: This is for the family medicine section. Front desk girls will completely ignore you and if you say hello, after waiting for over a minute in silence, they look at you like you're annoying them and say, "we'll be right with you." They definitely need some training in customer service. One was applying her lipgloss and doing absolutely nothing for 30 seconds straight. Came back up to the counter with my forms and she again ignored me. There was a nicer red head who took the forms instead and thanked me. Wild how mean girl vibes are still a thing.

Negative experience: It’s been 4 months and I never got my results back. Zimmerman did not make me feel comfortable. The only reason I went to her is because they told me she was the only one available. She didn’t even specialize on the thing I needed to be seen for and they still sent me to her. I have called several times to ask for my lab results and I get the same answer every time that they don’t have anything in the notes. They tell me they will send her a message but I never got a call back.

Fantastic experience: I cannot tell you enough how wonderful Dr. Harper is. She is an angel in scrubs. Last time I was pregnant, I was clueless and my doctor did not tell me anything. With a ray of Light, Harper was on call the day I gave birth. She made everything smooth and educated me a lot. She really cares and it's hard to say that now a days. I am currently pregnant and again and the experience has been nothing but Great with Harper. I am hoping she will be there for the birth of my second child. (Crossing my fingers). Anyways, Harper, she should get recognized and get a raise. She is the best doctor in my opinion. Thanks for your kindness and compassion, Harper.

Negative experience: They want you to be on time but when you're on time it take more then a hour to get in they don't bat a eye (Just a heads up for mothers with no motor vehicles ) when you're late or dont show up for a apointment they won't let you make appointments over the phone anymore ... or if youre running a little late they won't wait for you even 20 min. But yet we have to wait hours for them to get us into our SCEDUALED APOINTMENTS

Negative experience: Truly a terrible attempt at healthcare. Took my wife in for some diagnostic tests and the assistant cut her off after two symptoms and said we can only put down up to three symptoms. This is not practical if multiple symptoms are behind whatever is occurring that brought you in to them so they wrote down the three my wife provided them then we waited for a nurse practitioner to come in and verify all three (the assistant wrote down two things entirely wrong). After confirming the symptoms the nurse practitioner walked out and took another 30 or 40 minutes to come back in to the room with a simple “we need labs to confirm the issues” (which I can completely understand). So my wife got sent to LabCorp with tests to be performed. After the labs come back haven’t heard a peep from the nurse practitioner or anyone at Adelante. Exceptionally unprofessional behaviour on behalf of a “healthcare” provider. As a side note and a caution to others they marked down my wife’s previous medical history and the nurse practitioner came in to confirm it because the assistant wrote down “vasectomy”. My wife is a biological female and has been since birth. No indications provided to the assistant of any possible transgender situation. Why in the world does the assistant not know that a vasectomy is for men? What level of training is being provided? If the assistants are hired with training I would consider reaching out to whomever trained this person to get some better training.

Negative experience: Aside from not having the proper name in the system or the proper phone number provided, they only have 1 OB available. They expect you to be on call for already scheduled appts and they don’t email you as a back information which is counterproductive since they asked for my email when I made my initial appt. Got rescheduled for another month so find another option if possible.

Negative experience: Overall a disappointment. The staff was friendly enough. We used their pediatrics. The first time was okay the second time was worse and finally the 3rd visit we had had enough. Asking the same question multiple times during the visit and apparently writing the answer on whatever form they fill out. Forgetting that my son is a boy half way through the visit. Asking multiple times if we have done certain things when we have answered that question at least half a dozen times already again apparently documented on whatever form they are filling out during the visit. No follow up after a procedure that was done. The only follow up was asking if we had the follow up visit that no one told us we should schedule. I don't expect the doctor to remember us from one visit to the next but forgetting about us mid visit is a new one. Then the billing don't get me started... No issue running my credit card at the counter but make sure you are aware they will be sending you additional invoices after each visit. Then when you call the billing department you get people who just hang up on you while you're trying to figure out what happened. Never using them again. What a waste of talent because the only shining light in this place was doctor Johanson. This would be a 1 star review if it wasn't for her. If you have 10 minutes and a computer find another place.

Negative experience: They forgot about me in the patient room, never got the vaccine I signed the paperwork for, or the medicine change which was the purpose of the visit. The dr came in and left after about 10 minutes (after I had waited for an hour in the room) without doing anything. I messaged the dr when I realized I hadn’t received the help I needed, hoping they could change the prescription without another visit- since we had already discussed it. No reply. My daughter needed a refill of her anxiety meds and the dr also didn’t respond to the pharmacy…. So unhappy with the care.

Their plan was for me to wait until someone cancelled, but did not bother to let me know. They have not regard for people's time and care very little about customer service. Negative experience: Was referred by my primary after having an ultrasound where multiple fibroids were found. After waiting 4 weeks for an appointment I finally get in. Get called back and sit in a room and was told the Dr had two more patients to still see before me. About 30 minutes of sitting there the aide comes in and tells me they have none of my records. You would think after 4 weeks of waiting on an appt and a referral from my Dr. that they would have requested my records. So I download then all and email them. I then wait another half hour and hear them chitchattting about me and other patients. Not only was no one available that could decipher ultrasounds, the Dr there didn't seem to care and suggested that I go on birth control. She ordered blood work asking which lab i prefer and then had an order written for a different lab than the one I preferred. My insurance covers both. I will not be going back. They need to get it together and have better customer service. Overall I was there an hour and a half and didn't get care or consultation for what I was actually there for. OBGYN department please get it together. If I could hear you discussing me and other patients behind a closed door so could everyone else

Negative experience: I would not recommend this place, if you’re seeking medical treatment. Got to see physicians assistant Zimmerman because she was the only one available. She’s very incompetent and lacks empathy. Now I know why she was the only available because nobody wants to set appointments with her and she’s terrible at her job. This place lacks family real doctors and charge as if you were seen by a real doctor. If your looking for specialty doctor referrals expect 1 to 2 month wait. Sometimes you won’t even get a referral you would have to call and there excuse is “still processing”. Are you kidding me? I had to argue with them. That same day they made my referral but by then I had already resolved my issue. My previous retired doctor always had my referral ready to go within a week. This place is a joke if you really need medical help. Run!!!

Negative experience: Absolutely worst healthcare I have ever received in my 67 years! My MC Advantage plan picked this as my primary care. Had a bad feeling when I walked in but was willing to give them a chance. As a healthy active retired healthcare professional myself all I really need are my prescriptions for thyroid and allergies. They don’t return phone calls and after spending over an hour waiting for Francisca Olibarria in an exam room to request my thyroid prescription almost a month later my pharmacy has not received the fax. They will not return my call. Will be reporting her to the Nursing Board!

Negative experience: If you’re pregnant save your time and money, don’t come to this place. I spent the first 5 months of my pregnancy believing I was diabetic type 1 because this is what this facility made me believe. I was referred to a very expensive specialist they partner with VALLEY PERINATAL. They and adelante made me believe I was a high risk and there was always something wrong with my baby. Once I change my OB and got a different point of view, turns out I was never diabetic or a high risk pregnancy. My baby was perfectly fine. I passed my glucose test with flying colors. I will probably never get back all the money and time I spent with who they refer me with. If you have a good insurance BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE! They will do ANYTHING to charge it. How inhuman from these “professionals” to make a pregnant women go through all this stress of a bad diagnose. Can’t believe there’s doctors who only care about money and not your health. Also they never pick up the phone. How hard is that? The lobby was always empty. Just pick up the phone girls! To all my pregnant women out there, DONT COME HERE!

Negative experience: Why even have a call center when nobody is returning calls? By way of positive feedback please have a direct number to call the clinics because there is obviously a huge lag time for the call center to redirect calls/messages to the respective clinics. For example I've been waiting for a callback from the Adult Medicine - Surprise clinic for over two hours and I ended up going to the clinic. The receptionist insisted that they're very busy. That's a very poor display of customer service when she was very dismissive of my concerns. I've been sick all week and I ended up calling my insurance company for the Telehealth service, because I couldn't get any callback from the clinic. When I finally got them on the phone, I was given an appointment with my PCP in May. Why give me an appointment that far in advance when I was very clear that I needed to see my PCP because I'm sick?! This very poor customer service can potentially lead to life-threatening situations for patients because of the delay of care. Please do something about the huge delay of messages going to the call center and to the respective clinics. For patients' safety, please make the investment and create direct lines to the respective clinics instead of a call center. Use the call center for after-hours issues. Quick and efficient access to you should be a priority otherwise you risk losing patients.

Negative experience: The doctors are awesome, the front desk and people that answer the phone could definitely use a refresher on how to do their jobs. I've sat on the phone 3 times now (different hours of the day for this reasons exactly) and it's taken 3-4 hours for a call back. I'm currently sitting on hold right now (10:39am, April 3rd 2024 for 10 mins now) because I refuse to wait 4 hours to get the answer and help I need. Negative experience: Waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes which was fine but when I was taken back, I got asked questions for about two minutes and then no one came back for an hour. Had to pop my head out into the hallway and ask if anybody was still coming. All for soemone to come in for three minutes, swab and tell me I’m all good to go. Very unprofessional and rude to make someone wait and hour and a half to talk face to face with someone for 8 minutes total.

Negative experience: So I have a set to have a leap procedure on march first for cervical cancer.. They called me forty five minutes before the appointment started to let me know my doctor wasn't in and wasn't gonna be able to see me that day. Proceeded to tell me that my Doctor was going on vacation. So she couldn't squeeze me in a sooner time. But they set me up with a different doctor from march twenty seventh. The day of my procedure, I Get a call from them. Canceling on me again to lack of supplies for the procedure proceeded to tell me that they had delivery issues and there was nothing they can do.

Negative experience: As others have mentioned, it's absolutely insane how hard it is to get a hold of someone at this office. I've tried everyday for the last two weeks to simply make an appointment for a checkup and have had no luck. I've called every single day, twice a day, for a minimum of 20 minutes, and have yet to have someone pick up the phone. I've tried the whole "leave a number and we'll call you back" thing and unsurprisingly nobody called me back. Absolutely unacceptable for a doctor's office.

Negative experience: I have been trying to get my blood pressure meds ordered for 10 days now! I needed it sent to my new mail order pharmacy. I started calling the office on Monday, Feb 12th and STILL do not have a prescription ready. I even went into the office on Feb 13th as the doctor wanted to check my blood pressure. I have since called 12 times and was told it was sent then call the pharmacy and they say they don't have anything for me. I now have no time as I only have one more dose available so I called the office to have it called in to my local pharmacy to fill in the gap. I just called and it wasn't called in there either! I guess my doctor doesn't care if my blood pressure is under control. I am going to go against medical advice and take a family member's medication as I have no other choice at this point! I am looking elsewhere for a new provider as this is unacceptable! Don't waste your time at this office if you want adequate care!

Negative experience: We recently moved into surprise, this was our first visit. I have to say the front desk was very nice and prompt. My daughter was seen first by a NP women. It took me by surprise when she stated my daughter had a heart murmur at the age of 13, previously we had the same Dr since she was born (she was amazing and well trusted) and never once we were told this. I don’t want to say I don’t believe it (I will get a second opinion) but it doesn’t make sense that my very healthy, active and athletic daughter all of sudden had a heart murmur. Let’s move on to my son, who saw an old male dr right after. My son has been asthmatic since he was born and is now 7 on daily preventative meds and is well controlled with meds. This dr was a robot, never once looked me in there eyes, had no compassion and only looked at his lap top and asked the question he needed to answer. I tried multiple times to ask about his asthma and trying to ween him off meds sonce he’s been doing amazing and how he felt on that, he never once answered it. Finally after multiple times asking…. He said well Just stop them the meds then. I was absolutely speechless on this. I will never take my kids back here again. I felt like we were just a number and not a living human. I can not understand how this place can allow drs to be treating children (someoneones baby) without any compassion, discussion or even a care in the world of what could happen with abruptly stopping medication. My advice, don’t take your kids there.

Negative experience: We had scheduled two appointments, one for my husband and one for my son. Both on different days of different weeks, with different doctors. Both times they called the day before to reschedule. So instead of being able to get my son in, when he needs to see a doctor, we will now have to wait who knows how many more weeks to get him in somewhere else. Garbage!

Fantastic experience: The pediatric department are providers myself and family can depend on. They’re professional and extremely caring. When my kids need to go in they look forward to seeing their Pediatrician. (Our PCP is Dr. Johansson) Hardly ever they’re scheduled to see another Pediatrician. But, we’ve seen all of them and never felt uncomfortable or that the care wasn’t there.

Negative experience: Most of staff is nice, however I’ve had more bad experiences here than good. It’s been 3-4 weeks since my blood work and hereditary cancer screening and I have yet to have anyone call me, answer the phone, or call me back. I went in and spoke with the lady at the desk and she said she would let someone know to call with results. That has been 2 weeks now and no one has called me. I have a lot going on medically, and these results could or could not help with a lot. Feeling unknown isn’t a good feeling. Other than that, takes forever to be seen at appointment. I usually plan to spend 2-3 hours here. My family goes here, but we are considering going somewhere else. Was also turned away at my last appointment because I didn’t have the copay. However, I’ve never been asked for a copay since going there.

Negative experience: Everyone’s really nice here BUT the service is kinda funky They told me they take acchs but I’ve been billed like twice after 2 appointments so be careful with that The intake for behavioral health is easy again very nice people but once I got my video appointment for my actual psychiatrist appointment it seemed like she was just rolling through the whole process Didn’t really seem to care I felt really rushed and I feel as if I didn’t get what I needed out. I’d much rather recommend Mind 24/7 They’re not only for 24 hour holds or inpatient They also have really good behavioral health services I just found out! Also I did have a medical visit with adalante and did lab but never got my results even called a month later to ask and the front desk lady left a message for my doctor but she still never got back to me with results. It’s a convenient place because it has everything from dental, OBGYN,medical,dentist, wic, & behavioral health but it just didn’t work out for me Hopefully others have better experiences!

Negative experience: I have been trying to get a message to my provider. Using the portal, I have attempted several attempts under mine and my wife's account. When entering in user I.D.'s and known correct passwords, get a message that no account can be found. I went to the password reset screen and successfully change passwords and was taken to the portal home screen. I wanted to send a message to my provider to order medications. There was no avenue to do this. No information could be pulled up on either account. Attempted to call in and got the "all agents are currently busy" message. What is the use of having communication avenue when it does not operate. Maybe it is time to change medical centers. I like my doctor but can not communicate.

Negative experience: Long hold time and never answer phone. They are so disorganized. When you request a prescription, it sits for days and you have to call them again to get attention for the refills you need. EVEN when you call five days in advance, they still don’t take any action. Yet they tell you when you need refills, have your pharmacy fax us.

Negative experience: Worst Medical Clinic Ever!!!! Was misdiagnosed by P.A. Zimmerman, she kept telling me I was having migraines. Finally got into see a neurologist where I was told it was nerve damage not migraines. They've created a new patient portal and didn't bother notifying any of there existing patients. Been trying to get in to be seen by anyone since June 2023 but no openings. I've contacted the stupid email they provide numerous times but nobody ever responds. This clinic needs to be shut down for malpractice cause it's seriously unreliable and a nightmare!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gill is the best, and a hard working doctor. I have a somewhat rare condition that he actually knows about, and he has always cared about my health. I've been coming here for over a year. I have always been treated great here. The receptionists are nice, and work hard to get you in to see a doctor, even a different one that can see you sooner. They are all part of the family, and work together. My meds, referals, etc. is one streamlined process. With being able to book and check in online make it effortless. Definitely come here.

Negative experience: Update: Third update. Saw PA Christine Zimmerman after a long wait and she was absolutely horrendous. Zero compassion, insanely loud, and horrible bedside manner. Here’s a tip, when you’re taking about your “fat” patients, the walls are super thin and your obnoxiously loud voice carries. You should also ask if anything is needed before leaving the room then barging back in and saying “you ready to go??”. When I brought up another thing I needed she was visibly bothered and said she’d have to open my chart again (then loudly yelled “she wants something else”)…and that she’d have to see another patient before simply ordering labs I requested. So many assumptions and very little questions/listening. Leaving the room yelling “I also do weight loss appointments sooo….” So tactful. Never again. Second update - I had a skin issue that I went to a dermatologist for and he ordered labs…the results were abnormal and he referred me to two specialists. I’ve been trying to get in for over two weeks to discuss the results with my primary dr and have been on hold for hours. Sometimes 45 people ahead of me on hold…sometimes 90!!! I can’t take that much time off of work to sit on hold. I tried to use the patient portal and can’t find an appointment within the next three months. I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic, but other health issues remain. I have been with Adelante for years and have had an amazing experience each time I need to get in. Granted, providers tend to move around a bit but I usually have a pleasant experience with whoever I see. The convenience of tele-health appointments during Covid has been extremely helpful. The front desk & phone staff have always been respectful, helpful & professional.

Negative experience: Worst experience to date. But they've all been awful. This "dr" or whatever she was, didn't speak clear English. My appt was at 5pm by zoom. She made an appt for me for 2pm the next day for blood work and says is very the order in the mail. Now how is that possible? I asked how I was supposed to get the paper work? She kept saying in the mail. We'll it didn't come in my email for me to print or show the office. So I called back the next day to find out about the paperwork. The guy I talked to said it would be faxed to the lab. I got there and no they didn't have it. So then I called back and they said oh you have to go pick it up first!! Well that would have been good to know. And the lab she chose doesn't accept faxes!! But the one across the street does! What a waste of my time.

Fantastic experience: I brought my daughter in for her 4 year check up and everyone was amazing as always! The front staff was very polite and helpful, especially Miranda! She printed out my daughters school forms for the Dr to fill out since I forgot the original copy at home. It was the first time seeing Dr. Ramirez since Dr. Diamond left and she was awesome and understanding. I've been in AZ for almost 2 years so this isn't the first time at this clinic.

Negative experience: So I never leave reviews but this place gave me such an ick I have to. This is the most sales driven doctors office I’d ever been to. I went in a year ago when I moved to Surprise for an annual follow up on some potential thyroid issues. They don’t talk to me about that hardly at all, and tell me alllll about their nutrition courses and weight loss programs. I had to have a virtual appointment with my old doctor to get my prescription refilled because they were so focused on selling this program. Whatever, I move on and forget it and just note I’m not going back. Today, over a year later, I get a text that I’m due for “an important cancer screening”. Tf? I call about it and they say “oh yeah we sent out texts because you’re due for your annual physical.” To verify, I asked “so you sent a text about a CANCER SCREENING, because I’m due for a standard physical?” The agent confirmed, yes. Can’t help but feel they’re using fear to get people to schedule more appointments. All in all, will not be visiting again. Lost weight on my own with no help from them. Still have no answers about my thyroid. Feel disgusted by their marketing tactics.

Negative experience: Problem after problem… such a headache. Waited for 2 hours on hold to make an appointment just for them to switch the phones over to the answering service 45 minutes before their actual closing time. Infuriating. Then they charged me for a specialist visit when I saw a PA who was substituting for my regular PCP (which they didn’t even tell me about ahead of time.) So I had to pay $100 for a specialist when it was just a med refill with my regular doctor who wasn’t even there. It took an entire year for them to finally resolve it for me. Then I had to wait over an hour to see Dr. Nillas in a cold, depressing room (again just for a med refill) while he took his sweet, sweet time across the hall typing notes. After an hour I told the MA I couldn’t wait any longer because I suddenly had a pressing obligation. So I had to leave, couldn’t get my medication and they charged me with a NO SHOW even though I paid my co-pay (which I didn’t get back) and waited over an hour for absolutely nothing. Only go this place if it’s your last resort.

Negative experience: Atrocious patient care! I only gave a 1 star rating because it doesn’t allow a negative star rating. A practitioner at the Surprise location prescribed a medication and told me to stop taking it and call if I had a reaction. I had a severe reaction, stopped taking it, and left 3 messages - none of which were returned. When I called the first time at 5:30am and spoke with the nurse line, they said my reaction was so bad that I should go to urgent care. I don’t have the money for that so I elected to leave a message. The nurse told me someone would call shortly after opening at 7:00am because she was marking the message as urgent. No one called so at 8:30am I called again and left another message. No return call. At 1:00pm I called back and spoke with the medical assistant. She promised that if the provider didn’t get back to me, she’d call me before she left at 3:30pm. No one ever called. Since I stopped talking the medication the reaction stopped, but I still need another medication in place of the one that caused the reaction. I’d like to say this was a one off, but I’ve left messages before that were never returned so this is how they run their medical practice. I would have thought that when a nurse marks the message as urgent due to a severe reaction that the provider who prescribed the medication would at least care enough about their patient to call in a new medication. Now I need to find a new doc ASAP that accepts my insurance and is accepting new patients to treat my condition.

Negative experience: I scheduled an annual physical in December 2022. The first available appointment was February with one of the providers. We are now 2 days before the appointment and I received a call that I "picked the wrong appointment slot" for the care that I need so I have to reschedule. They offered me an appointment in April because that is the first available. If a doctor is available, why does it matter that I'm being seen for a wellness visit vs. a sick visit? Why didn't someone tell me before now that more than 30 days ago I scheduled "the wrong type" of appointment? Adelante has sufficient healthcare providers but the business is absolutely wrecked. I will never return to this medical group, horrible practice. Make this make sense.

Negative experience: Second visit today. After waiting an hour the doctor comes in and doesn’t say sorry for the wait and spends 5 minutes with me. In both instances the medical assistants were short and talked over me and so did the physicians . I don’t think I will be back. I have worked in the medical field for 25+ years as medical assistant and office manager and I never treated patients like this and if my staff did I corrected them. Poorly managed facility.

Negative experience: This location has definitely contradicted the significance of the quality and delivery of healthcare. My last visit with Dr. Christine Zimmerman was the worst experience ever as she neglected to provide the proper health services and substantial health advice that I was asking for. Most of her responses to my questions and concerns throughout our encounter consisted of “I don’t know”responses, negative body language that displayed disrespect, condescending manners, and undesirable engagement with the conversation. I recommend not booking with her as this is truly unacceptable to the medical care system.

Negative experience: They seem to only want to take your money, not provide good service or actual help. Myself, my wife, and 2 kids have all been there and every time it's frustrating. They once gave my son extra vaccines that he already had received, they figured it out after giving it to him, and then had some lady come in to try to smooth it over with me. Who knows how that could have or did effect him and hos health. Their dentist office is bad too. They will only do small parts of what you need, then make you come back over and over and over, presumably to just get more doctor visit co pays. Avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: I used to get decent amount of care here although over the past few months the care has declined. In order to make an appointment you have to wait in between 1 to 2 weeks the providers are a joke and you go in and get stuff tested and then turns out they don’t even test it. You call there are 1877 number and all you do is talk to you agents that cannot help you and will not help you. And then to top it off they can’t even tell you your results in a decent amount of time frame. This place is an absolute joke - for all the locations on the west side of town Don’t waste your time

Fantastic experience: I was able to sit in on a visit with my mother in law yesterday afternoon with Dr. Nillas. My Mother was struggling with understanding her care plan and wasn't following through on taking care of managing her Diabetes, and Hypertension at home. Dr. Nillas and his care team Paul and Denys were so amazing and helpful. They broke down everything she needed to do in order to gain back control of her health, they managed expectations that she had as well as had her set goals for herself to give her a level of accountability as well. The entire team was kind, compassionate and spent the time needed to ensure she understood and that I also had the tools to help her once we returned home. I am very thankful to have this team care for my mother and I would recommend them to anyone who needs this level of care for their family.

Negative experience: THEE WORST!!!! My fiancé and I each have tried this place on a few different occasions. They have one customer service line with long hold times and incredibly unprofessional individuals. One time a woman was speaking to me like I was bothering her and blatantly hung up on me. Today I was called and told that not only did the NP request an incorrect lab order that I paid $50 to do but that I will have to make another appointment with a pcp if I want to continue getting meds. I called in 3 times today because twice I was hung up on. Once a boy answered saying something about killing someone and then put me on hold and disconnected the line. When I did ask to speak with a supervisor to express my overall frustration, I was transferred to a care coordinator posing as a supervisor until I directly asked her title. I kept trying to stick this out and give them the benefit of the doubt but they are literally costing me my time, money and sanity. I finally gave up and am switching providers. Stay far away from here unless you have no choice.

Negative experience: What a joke! I visited this location to get a documentation of recovery letter to travel after testing positive for COVID a month before. When I explained what I needed to Dr. Nillas, he claimed never to have written this kind of letter before, seemed unaware of CDC guidelines, and finally refused to write a letter if I was unable to provide a negative test. He admitted that a patient could test positive for weeks or even months after COVID has cleared up from the body, but he was insistent I had to test negative to travel. The only solution he proposed was for me to come back 10 days later--3 days before traveling--in hopes that I might test negative. Avoid this place--and especially this doctor--like the plague! Go to a Minute Clinic instead if you want competent care.

Negative experience: Scheduled daughter for mental health appointment. Virtual appt and waiting over an hour. When no one came on the line, called and was told all systems were down yet we were receiving links for login. Asked about rescheduling and was told we would have to complete intake process all over and they would not be rescheduling. Will be looking for provider services elsewhere.

Negative experience: The doctors are decent but the office has poor communication with patients, staff are lazy and don't like to respond to inquiries or explain things, they also don't call back and take forever to contact you with results - good and bad. I've had numerous very frustrating experiences waiting on call backs and trying to get explanations for medical issues. Most recently, I asked about a recommended procedure and was given a website and told to look it up. Should I also pay myself a copay for the information? The doctors are decent but part of being in a practice with multiple physicians should be a benefit to the patient, like not having to wait for a doctor to return from vacation, to get important results. I plan to look for a straight GYN as it seems adelante is too focused on baby making!

Negative experience: Horrible. After spending forever on the phone, was finally able to make an appointment for my son. Took time off of work and was advised the day before the appointment that they scheduled me with a provider that doesn't accept my insurance. (Blue cross) Something I went over with them when scheduling the appointment in the first place. Now I'm missing a day of work and will have to miss another for their error. I won't be going back.
