Fantastic experience: Wonderful practice using updated technology. Really appreciate Yanely for her warmth and ease as well as her willingness to answer questions. She was very efficient with taking the X-rays. Judy the hygienist was very thorough and kind. Dr. Sue did a great job going over my X-rays and explaining all the various status and issues regarding my teeth. Definitely recommend and will be coming back for my follow up care.

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist in six years, so I was honestly a little nervous going in. But the entire experience ended up being painless, quick, and incredibly easy. The team made me feel comfortable from start to finish, and I left feeling great about my teeth and dental health. A special thank you to Judy, who cleaned my teeth and was absolutely wonderful. She walked me through everything clearly, from the cleaning itself to the financials and insurance, and made sure I understood all my options. She was attentive, patient, and consistently checked to make sure I was comfortable. She also helped me understand both my short-term and long-term dental plans, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend this office to anyone, especially if you want to watch some TV on the ceiling! They made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.

Fantastic experience: I'v e been a client for over 3 years and have had every procedure imaginable: cleanings, fillings, crowns, extractions and implants. I can honestly say that everything I've experienced is 100% professional from the supportive staff to Dr Lei and Dr Sue. They have done everything possible to make me feel at ease with every procedure. Before any procedure, they have always outlined what is to be done, the whys, the hows, the price, and always leaves the final decision to me. I trust their judgment and have never been disappointed. I don't think I have ever experienced this kind of professionalism in any of the many dentists that I've had in my 83 years of dental visits.

Jordan was extremely patient and helpful with understanding my needs and getting everything scheduled, and Samara was a total rockstar and super helpful. Dr. Lei was really great - he answered all my questions and made me feel well taken care of! The office is also really calming and they have TVs on the ceiling so you can watch Netflix while in the chair! And sparkling waters! Overall great experience.

Fantastic experience: Beyond Dental is such an awesome place!! I used to hate going to the dentist before I came here. The front desk workers, Jordan and Alexis, were so sweet and informative with their text messages, sending reminders and information. I was also privileged enough to received care from the coolest person ever Erika!! She was so funny and sweet while also keeping me informed on the work she was performing. If you are with Erika, you are in great hands. Dr. Sue is also amazing!! She explained all my issues and answered all my questions, leaving me feeling very reassured in my care. This practice is such a safe place. I appreciate how kind all the staff were to my mother and I. I left with a much better understanding of my dental health and more confidence. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and for creating such an amazing environment. Dare I say I am excited to go to the dentist again

Negative experience: Only after switching to another dentist did I realize the extent of the upselling at this office. The teeth cleaning I received a year ago was well done; however, the dentist tried to convince me to get a dental crown and a mouthguard, which my new dentist assured me were unnecessary. In my experience, this office pushes procedures that may not be needed. I am so glad I found a new, caring dentist.

Negative experience: i am beyond disappointed in this dental office i have always had great care but as a newly single mom life got in the way and i had to cancel my appointment the morning of, i understand there would be a fee and i was more than willing to pay that. But that fee is $250!! In this economy asking someone to pay $250 for a cancelled appointment is a slap in the face and one i will never be able to afford as groceries and bills will always come first, sad to say I will no longer be a patient at this dental office.

Fantastic experience: I am writing this review with not being seen at the dentist in like 8-10 years. As a new patient, I researched clinics in the area prior to being seen at Beyond Dental. They did not have the cheapest New Patient offer but the environment made up for that. Scheduling, reminders for appointments and communication with Beyond Dental is top notch. This was not the case for the other clinic that I was also looking at. My Dr joked with me, took the time to make me feel at ease and was very efficient with her time during my different appointments so they felt like they went by very quickly. During my first visit, My front desk receptionist Alexis, was very well spoken and good mannered. I was able to pre fill most of my new patient info online, so that saved time during my first visit. My dental tech Yanely, was very nice, warm and kind to me when I am normally nervous and awkward at Dr appointments. I appreciated how I was treated during this appointment and that helped me decide to schedule my follow-up procedure. My dental tech for my second appointment, Erika was very knowledgeable and easy going and was able to help me be at ease prior to my fillings being done. My front desk receptionist Jordan, made sure I was informed and aware of yearly cleaning packages available prior to booking my follow up cleaning and was friendly to me up until I walked out the door. TLDR : The staff here outweighs any concerns you may have when searching for a new dental clinic. I am glad I chose Beyond Dental.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my first dental appointment at Beyond Dental and was very impressed with this practice with the staff and my Dental Doctor. This facility is very modern with the latest equipment as well as the most through exam I can remember having as well as the communication was outstanding keeping me informed throughout my exam. I am now scheduled for follow-up visits to complete further procedures for my dental health. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Update: I have been going to Beyond Dental for over 3 years now and I am loving it more than ever. The staff are all so kind and prioritize comfort of the patient. They are flexible with scheduling and always there to answer questions via text or call. Yanely and Dr. Sue were outstanding at my last visit- making me laugh and providing me with the best care possible! This was my first time going to a dentist after moving to North Carolina and I was blown away by how wonderful the team was! From the moment I walked in, the staff was so kind and made me feel welcome. Judy is such a great hygienist and I felt like I was in great hands. Dr. Lei was great, as well! Overall, it was such a comfortable environment and I'm so happy with my choice of a new dentist here in Durham.

Fantastic experience: I'm thankful for all the office hospitality! From my entrance when I walked in to the lobby I had a warm welcome from Jordan and Alexis. Then I was escorted by Bailey to the room, who was nice and assisted with getting me settled and took my x-rays, patiently explaining things step by step. Then I met Yanely and Judy who were very professional and thorough, helping me to understand probing and what my results meant. I then saw Dr. Lei. I appreciated that he really listened to me and my concerns. He was very detailed with addressing my issues and presenting options of treatment. I truly enjoyed my visit! Everyone was great and this has been the best experience I have ever had, never been so comfortable at a dentist office! Such an amazing team!!

Alexis helped me check in and later went over the treatment plan while explaining insurance coverage. I really appreciated her patience as I asked a lot of questions! For my teeth exam, Erika and Judy helped take X-rays and clean my teeth. They were both super nice and easy to talk to. Dr. Sue was my dentist and she kindly explained everything she was doing, and went over treatment plans in-depth. Fantastic experience: I went to Beyond Dental so they could help me with a botched job by another dentist. I was anxious about being back at the dentist after my previous bad experience but everyone at Beyond dental was so friendly, reassuring, and they fixed my issue! I was happy to note that everyone at the office seems genuinely happy at work and as a result, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Dr Lei is a great guy, very calming presence and personable. Next Dr. Sue comes in to calm my fears and answer all 136 of my questions Then Judy cleans teeth like no other! Erika always stops by to make me laugh and today I had the pleasure of meeting Yanely. Negative experience: Absolutely Do NOT recommend!!!! Financial Policies are ridiculous and the administrative lead is “Beyond” arrogant. They will find something wrong to charge you for at every appointment. No interest in actually providing care.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lei, Dr. Sue and the whole team at Beyond Dental have been nothing but wonderful since my first initial appointment as a new patient. I don’t much care for the dentist because of the sensitivity I have with my teeth and gums so it’s always a struggle to go in to get my teeth cleaned. During my first initial visit, Alexis greeted me with such a warm welcome and the office is so clean and inviting. Yanely did a fantastic job taking my x-rays and Dr. Sue was THOROUGH in her explanation of what was going on with my teeth and what the next steps would look like. I just completed my first dental cleaning and I had to get numbed which made me nervous but the overall procedure went smoothly thanks to Judy’s professional care with cleaning my teeth and Dr. Lei’s swiftness with numbing my mouth which I didn’t feel at all! I am extremely pleased with my visits so far and I actually look forward to going back for my remaining visits. If you’re looking for a dental office who takes the time to ask questions, listen to your concerns and treat you with kindness and care, Beyond Dental is it.

Fantastic experience: Dr Lei, is amazing. He demonstrates patients, And concern for your mouth care. I had several teeth removed and he was so gentle, an took his time numbing my mouth, hardly felt a thing. All the staff has been welcoming, and professional.

Fantastic experience: I just went in for my first visit and I have nothing but positive remarks to comment. Everyone from the front office concierge (Jordan), to the dental assistant (Erika), to the dentist (Dr. Sue) was very personable and professional. I am someone who has a very bad gag reflex and they were very patient in working with me. Erika went above and beyond in taking care of the initial screening and x rays. I am very thankful to have found a great dentist office that I can trust with my dental care.

Fantastic experience: I had my initial consult at Beyond Dental and it was a great experience! I’ve been putting off dental work for too long for various reasons but the entire team was welcoming explained things so thoroughly. I saw Erika, dr. Liu, and Tian and they all were so informative and helpful about different things. The space itself was very modern and clean and the team was so personable. A bonus: the bathrooms are extremely clean and they have chapstick. Definitely recommend coming for a great dental experience, especially if you’ve been nervous about going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Beyond dental is a bright, clean, quiet place. It is easy to access. They have wonderful staffs and doctors. My whole family started to see dentists in this office. It is a very good experience.

Fantastic experience: I was extremely happy with the professional services provided. My wisdom teeth extractions were pain free and I recovered very quickly. By the next day I was back to normal. My fillings fit perfectly and I am quite comfortable chewing steak. I would recommend these folks to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best experience at the dentist! I called in about painful wisdom teeth - I was booked for an x-ray, and was able to get them extracted, all in the very same day that I had called! Nothing felt rushed at all everyone was so caring and kind throughout every step I was grateful for not only such quick and quality service, but as a Queer, heavily tattooed person, who hasn’t been to the dentist in years due to the fear of going — I felt very comfortable, and not judged here in the slightest (some places make jokes at your anxiety’s expense when you’re heavily tattooed / pierced but still scared of needles in your mouth) Beyond thankful to have found this location and I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I have an unreasonable fear of the dentist that kept me from going for 10+ years. All of the staff at Dental Dental were incredibly kind and patient as we went through the visit. I was most concerned about the cleaning given decades prior experiences but Judy was PHENOMENAL. I cannot thank the staff enough for their understanding and patience.

Negative experience: Care is good and staff are nice. Both times I’ve gone they hit me with random surprise bills months later for another $10 or $15 which is super frustrating when I’m told “exactly” how much I’ll owe on the day of. I was also not told that my insurance was no longer in network for my second visit.

Negative experience: I'm not a big reviewer but I'm going to write this as a heads up for anybody wanting to save money and as a caution to avoid any unnecessary dental work. I visited Beyond Dental in April for a chipped tooth. The facility is conveniently located for me and it is also clean. The dental assistant, Erika, is pleasant. However, the attending dentist is very condescending and unprofessional (Dr. Liu is her name). During the check-up, she even said (referring to me to the assistant), "see what I have to put up with?" This is because I slightly moved my mouth as she was looking in; she has a chip on her shoulder and is very unpleasant. Then came all the treatment I needed, a crown, a possible root canal running into the thousands. Not to forget, I'm a big grinder apparently, so will need a guard which would also cost a substantial amount. Suffice to say, I decided to get a second opinion when thousands was at stake. I went to another dentist in the Chapel Hill area who said all I needed was a filling. If pain persists after the filling, then we can look at a root canal. Voila. His check-up and filling was less than Dr. Liu's basic exam (which did not include any treatment). In fact, I'm not a big grinder and do not need a guard either. So be very wary of this place (Beyond Dental). I hope I've saved you some unnecessary procedures and some $$.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Beyond Dental for 6 months now, and I couldn't ask for a better experience. Everyone on staff is super helpful and friendly, and keeps me informed while answering any questions I have. Their billing and scheduling is very flexible and they'll work with you even if you're out of network. As someone who put off dental work for years, I was scared to start over again. Fantastic experience: My experience at Beyond Dental is phenomenal. Starting from the seamless check-in, the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Erica and Judy was amazing, they helped me with my cleaning and X-rays, and explained to me in thorough detail what was taking place and the why behind it. Overall, 10/10 experience and I would recommend anyone in the RDU area to check them out!

Fantastic experience: My hygienist, Judy, was very friendly and communicative. For a dental office it is very nicely done and the staff was welcoming. Dr. Sue took the time to explain everything she saw and prescribe necessary treatment. She also gave diet recommendations which I found very helpful to prevent future problems.

Fantastic experience: Amazing team at Beyond Dental! They’ve caught and taken care of needed work that my last office never even mentioned. I had old fillings that were failing and thanks to Dr. Sue’s attention to detail we caught it and decided to replace them. Good thing we did! I had decay under the fillings! I go to cleanings twice a year and not once did my last office say anything about this. I had four and one was pretty obvious once Dr. Sue pointed it out. Judy has been my hygienist for the last year and has been exceptional in keeping me comfortable and answering all my questions. I feel welcomed and valued as a patient with her. Thank you all!

The front desk and admin staff do a wonderful job before your appointment to check your insurance coverage, and they are very transparent about costs and copays. Judy was a wonderful hygienist and talked me through everything as we went along and also made sure to address all concerns and questions. Will be a forever patient!

Fantastic experience: This is the most aesthetically pleasing dentist office I’ve ever been to! It’s beautiful. The staff is also wonderful from the check in staff to the cleaning staff and the dentists! Alexis at the front desk was welcoming. Judy did my cleaning and made me feel immediately at ease. And Dr. Lei answered all my questions. He made me feel like a real patient, not just trying to get me through the door. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Dr. Lei and Dr. Sutasinee for taking care of my dental needs. They were patient and thorough and explained every step of the process. I would also like to thank my dental assistant Yanely who addressed any random questions or concerns I had and also took care of me throughout the experience.
