Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good about my experiences with EFD in general and Dr. Kim specifically. They are professional and attentive, communication was excellent. I've had root canals, a cap, a bridge, several fillings and an extraction. I recommend them with no reservations.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kim is great! Have had my regular cleanings and cavities done at their location for years now, and had implants for two missing teeth started this week. They were very quick and I didn't feel a thing during the procedure, just a bit of achiness later that day that a couple of Tylenol covered just fine. Highly recommended to anybody in the area!

Negative experience: I chose this clinic because of its high ratings, but I don’t understand why the reviews are so positive. I visited several times for routine cleanings and was charged extra each time. I initially assumed it was due to my insurance, but after moving and switching to a new dental office, I learned that the fees here had been unreasonable. My insurance hasn’t changed, yet I now pay nothing out of pocket for the same services. My time with the dentist was always very brief, so I can’t fairly assess their clinical skills. However, the billing practices were consistently problematic. The staff were unclear about what treatments were actually covered by insurance, recommended services that weren’t covered, and charged inconsistent amounts for identical visits. When they overcharged, the refund wasn’t issued promptly but rolled into a future visit; yet when they undercharged, bills were sent out immediately. Billing issues were handled slowly, with little follow-up and an unfriendly attitude. Given my straightforward needs and standard insurance, I expected a far more transparent and professional experience.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shin at Eastowne Family Dentistry did an absolutely outstanding job with my new crown! I had one that was about 15 years old and needed to be replaced. Absolute Dental Lab did an excellent job in matching the color to my existing teeth. Dr. Shin did such a great job no one can tell the crown from the real tooth! Additionally, the staff at Eastowne Family Dentistry are fabulous - they provide top tier customer service and are extremely nice and helpful navigating dental insurance. I highly recommend Dr. Shin for a picture perfect smile!

Fantastic experience: My husband had a tooth that had fallen out and we needed to see a dentist quick. I looked up Dr. Kim and was able to set up an appointment for that Thursday. I was able to fill out all paper work at home via text and email including information from the former dentist since he would be a new patient with Dr. Kim. The day of the appointment we got to their office and discovered after calling that it was their old office. They told us at that time that they had moved. We let them know that we had just moved here from out of state and that the forms we filled out had the old address on it and could we still come because my husband's work schedule was not very flexible to work with for a later date. They told us to come to their new address and they would see him. They did the usual things for new patients and took x-rays, came to a common ground on what could be done and affixed a temporary tooth in place and also let us know what 3 treatments were available for him. They were very accommodating and explained the procedure and cost and healing time and even did a recement when the tooth fell out the same day after their return from a short vacation. We are getting the procedure done later this month and so far we are very happy with the staff and Dr. Kim. Thanks to Dr. Kim and the staff for giving us a good experience at your office. Fantastic experience: Everyone there is super nice and did good work on my teeth and what not. Also when they put the light on and shine it at your face they give you sunglasses so it’s not bright. Very nice! (Borat voice) Have been for a few appointments now and never going to go anywhere else ever again they’re such friendly people.
