O2 Dental Group Management
Negative experience: In one year both of my appointments had to be rescheduled with one day’s notice. The first time (6/2025) I was immediately able to reschedule for the same week, I went in between my night shifts. When I showed up to the rescheduled appointment at 8 am they told me they had cancelled the appointment because I failed to confirm it, despite me having it scheduled it personally with the manager only 2 days prior. I was told I could come back 2 hours later at 10 am instead of them honoring the appointment or taking it back from whoever it had been given to. Luckily, a kind hygienist squeezed me in because she overheard my frustration. Manager would not speak with me during this incident until after my appointment. Never acknowledged how their business’ mistake with my rescheduled appointment was doubled down on by them saying I couldn’t have the original time and would have to come back later. Second appointment of the year (12/2025) gets cancelled with one day’s notice. No appointments until 2026 that could fit into my work schedule. No acknowledgement that this is the second time in a year they’ve cancelled the appointment on me. No care that I burned a day of PTO and have paid for dental insurance for the year that allows for 2 exams, of which I will only now be able to utilize one. Do not go here.
Negative experience: I was scheduled for 8:00 in the morning. I got there at 7:45 and waited for them to open. When I got inside and checked in, I waited 45 minutes to be told they still needed to verify something with my insurance that they were supposed to do before I got there, but it was never done. I was told being the insurance company is closed on Saturday, I would have to pay out of pocket and they would reimburse me. I agreed to pay out of pocket and continued to wait another 45 minutes without anyone acknowledging the fact I had already waited 1 1/2 hours. I ended up asking for a refund and left without being seen. I drove 40 minutes to get there because they came recommended from a friend. I definitely will not go back.
Negative experience: DON’T GO HERE! I read the reviews before coming and thought that I wouldn’t have the shared experience that so many others have had here. To my surprise, the reviews are correct. They do not communicate to you efficiently. It’s one of those places where if you don’t ask, they don’t tell. And when they do tell you something, they don’t follow through or switch things up last minute. They will try to get you to come in as much as possible so you have multiple sessions of charges. It’s very young-aged in here and they act like it. There’s an obvious lack of dental knowledge. Save your time and your money because they don’t care.
Negative experience: Extremely unprofessionally run and disorganized. The manager comes across as an entitled, privileged snob. Find literally anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: The service here was great I switched dental offices in hope of finding something more accommodating and definitely found it here. My dentist Mariah is very efficient and when it came to my fillings I didn’t feel a thing also her assistant Pablo helped making a lot the whole process go as smoothly as possible. The overall staffing here is really kind and transparent when it comes to setting up appointments and treatment plans Ziliana was a great help when it came to booking future appointments and was very welcoming and easy to talk to as well as the rest of the staff and would definitely recommend

Negative experience: This has been the most unprofessional and frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a healthcare provider. Prior to booking my appointment, I confirmed with O2 that my insurance was in network. They assured me it was, so I proceeded. At my visit, I was quoted a very high in-network cost. Because of that, I declined some treatment and moved forward only with what I could reasonably afford. Later, I received a bill in the mail for $775 on top of what I had already paid, as if I were out of network. When I called, I was told it was billed incorrectly and the charge would be dropped. Time went by, and I continued receiving statements. When I called again, I was suddenly told the dentist I saw was not in network after all and that I was now responsible for paying because the employee who originally confirmed otherwise is no longer with O2. I asked to speak with a manager multiple times, was told I’d get a call back, and never did. Months later, the same cycle repeated. The first line item on my bill literally says “New Insurance Verified,” so I don’t understand where the confusion lies. O2 advertises themselves as “convenient and affordable” and a “calm, pressure-free environment that makes every visit as stress free as possible.” My experience has been anything but that. You can tell there is high staff turnover, even during my treatment, they nearly started procedures I had already denied due to poor communication at the front desk. Looking at other reviews, I see I’m not alone. O2 has even publicly responded before to someone also being previously told they were in network, saying: “As a courtesy, we do verify coverage for all of our new patients prior to their first appointment as well as existing patients every 90 days.” If that’s true, why was I told my coverage was in-network, billed incorrectly, and then left to deal with the consequences of their mistake? I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Positive experience: I had an okay first experience here. The place smells like a vet inside so kind of strange. The staff is very informative and nice however communication after has been lacked.

Negative experience: Very disappointed this business refused to take on my family because I have more than 2 children. Reason provided was that they couldn't accept losing such a large group of clients to disappoint them at once, which feels presumptive of a large family being irresponsible.
Negative experience: I came for a cleaning in 2022 and was told I had 6 cavities. No one reviewed the x-rays with me, the dentist did not actually talk to me, just came in and told the hygienist what needed to be done who turned and told me to go check out. When I did I was told to come back for multiple visits for the fillings costing over 3k. At the same time my partner went to O2 and had an almost identical experience. They went and had them filled at O2 and it was a horrific experience, he was in pain for many months afterward. I went to a different dentist for a second opinion and they found NO CAVITIES. I didn’t have any work done and I’m still fine. The front desk was a nightmare to work with. My dental insurance coverage changed and I called O2 again this week for a cleaning. I didn’t want to and was really wary based on my previous experience but figured I’d they said I needed a ton of dental work I just wouldn’t do it. After two terrible phone calls I was told that for an initial visit I would need to come in multiple times and that they couldn’t do X-rays and a cleaning on the same day. I ended up finding another dentist and canceled my upcoming visit. My stress over the rude office staff, inattentive medical staff, and LYING about the dental work I needed overcame the need for a cleaning and the fact that they were the soonest appointment. I do not recommend!!! If you go and they say you need a ton of dental work (especially if that’s out of the norm for you) get another opinion! When I called this week, only 2 years later, they said NONE of the medical staff was still employed there. Why the high turnover? Very questionable practice
Hi Melissa, thank you for giving us feedback on your experience. I would like to take the time to clarify the process for patients that are being seen at our office. Because we want you to have a great experience, we have to do a full mouth exam so that there is no conflict of information that is given to our patients. This exam allows us to determine what type of cleaning you qualify for. This is why we cannot guarantee a cleaning because all cleanings are not the same. You brought out in your review that you had not had a cleaning with us since 2022, with that much time that has passed we would not have but it would be unjust for us to base treatment on services that you need from so long ago. Please contact our office at 919-813-2267 and request to speak with the office manager to make this right.
Negative experience: I scheduled my Invisalign consultation well in advance, expecting a smooth and professional experience. Instead, I received a call the evening before my appointment after 5 PM; telling me I needed to get my own X-rays or risk a delay. This last-minute notice was incredibly inconvenient and completely avoidable with proper planning on their part. To make matters worse, I was also informed that the Invisalign provider wouldn’t even be available until September, something that was not mentioned on their website or during booking. Overall, O2 Dental came across as extremely disorganized and unprofessional. If this is how they handle appointments, I can't imagine trusting them with actual treatment. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: This place was beautiful, clean the staff is amazing they provide refreshments while you wait to be seen they also have a play area with tablets for children . What stood out to me the most was They made me feel very welcomed . They took time to explain everything I needed. I was having trouble with my insurance at first but they took time to make sure I received the proper care and even helped me with filing an adjustment claim with my insurance company due to the last dental office billing for full X-rays when they only took pictures of 1 tooth at my last visit . The dentist always makes me nervous but I have never received such good care and felt so relaxed and assured. I would recommend this place to anyone . Keep up the good work .

Negative experience: Messed up my payment my first visit, second visit they did a filling for me, dentist and assistant were getting in each others way, made small talk with co-workers while doing my fillings. Total time to do two fillings was 2 and a half hours. Came back for a cleaning against my better judgement, they gave away my appointment because I did not do the electronic appointment confirmation. I arrived to my appointment 15min early. Just overall a bad operation. The only reason I did not give a 1 star review is due to the fact my filling does not seem to have any complications.
Negative experience: To be honest love Lydia the dentist the attended me back in November but today was horrible because not only I had to pay for something they told me my insurance covered but also the new staff just showed me what I would have to pay and did not offer me any payment plays that are listed on the door

Fantastic experience: I have a history of bad experiences with dentists. Loss most of my teeth ! Went through years of infections and pain! Lost trust in dentists. I find many of them are only after money and more money. But not at O2 Dental group today! Three women who understood my horrible experiences with a few dentist who left me with a loss of most of my teeth. However, not today. Three patient, understanding and wonderful "Ladies" . Diedra and a calm Dentist whi explained a lot to me. Thank you for understanding what I went through with so many dentist before. I shall return!!

Fantastic experience: As a 1st time patient I was thrilled at the ease of my appointment, Anya was a delight and was so adept at her job that a bee sting hurt 1oo times more than the shots. Everyone was nice as could be and I actually look forward to my next appointment!!!

Negative experience: Very racist, very rude. They do not take care of black people here. They treat you disrespectful; and if you respond or let them know they tell you, you are not allowed to come back. The Dr. has a nasty attitude, and I was threatened by a man named Pablo there as well. If you have Medicaid you definitely will be treated as if you are nothing. They look down on anybody with Medicaid. I have really bad anxiety when it comes to needles and dental tools. I sometimes have panic attacks and when I was panicking because I found out I had two cavities and needed a deep clean I was so scared. My voice is loud so if I’m having an attack my voice raises. They used that because I’m black to say that I was combative and aggressive when I was actually crying because of the fear of needles. The Dr. was very rude, very disrespectful which is a trigger. I had 4 random people yelling at me at one time, when I was trying to understand my next steps and next process and if sedation would be an option for me. They had me book my next appointment to call after I left to say I couldn’t come back because the doctor didn’t feel “safe” after the Dr, Pablo and another man was yelling at me as well. Two men yelling in a woman’s face is unacceptable and Pablo was yelling and laughing at me because of my condition. They are very unprofessional here, and because I am a black woman they made me look like I was a aggressor when in reality I was having a panic attack due to all the work I needed done and the fear of getting everything done. I would not recommend a place like this if you have Medicaid or can not drop $12,000 checks on the spot. They didn’t care to console me or make me feel secure in the process. Very disrespectful staff. The office manager Danielle did help the situation and got everybody out the room to calm me down and explain to me. She did help, but overall I wouldn’t recommend. I had the fear because the last time I went there the workers were kind of rough on my gums and I had small cuts from it last time. I was very concerned this would happen again. Danielle informed me that they had a brand new staff and nobody who I had when I came there previously worked there anymore. Which explains a lot when you have to continually getting brand new staff. Now I have to switch dentist offices last minute and it’s going to take longer to get what I need done all because they are racist, disrespectful and unprofessional. If you have Medicaid or low income in anyway I would not come here. They do not care about people with Medicaid or who are low income. Have requested my records 3 times and they will not give them up. I was able to find a new dentist the same day they told me I couldn’t come back and they have yet to send all records and X-rays on purpose to hold up the process. They said I would not be able to find a dentist this short notice I did. Now they are lying to my new dentist about my records and said they didn’t do a periocharting. When that had to be done to come to a conclusion that I needed a deep clean. Holding records is fraud and this will be addressed to who it needs to.

Negative experience: Made an appointment online - received a phone call to confirm the day before that I missed (no text or email confirmation) and when I called back 20 mins later, no one answered, so I left a voicemail confirming. When I arrived for my 9am appointment (after filling out all the paperwork with my personal info) I was told my spot was taken as I “never confirmed”. Staff was able to see they did NOT text me and allegedly “didn’t receive” my voicemail.

Fantastic experience: I lost a bottom molar on Wednesday and on Friday I requested an appointment by the O2 Dental Group on the next Friday. The DR Ansate removed the remains of the tooth and on the following Monday put temporary crowns on two adjacent teeth in preparation of installing a temporary bridge. I am very pleased with the quality and speed of the work. I returned for periodontal cleaning and am very pleased with the quality of care at the O2 Dental Group of Durham. six months after installing the bridge, it became detached from the crowns. I called the next morning and was in the dental chair within two hours. In 20 minutes the bridge was cemented and I was out the front door. no charge and the bridge felt great. Came back four months later for a cleaning. They have a new hygienist who takes her time and keeps the pain down to a minimum when cleaning the tartar off your teeth and gums. Great addition to the staff. (3 Oct 2022 update) O2 Dental also has an excellent cleaning staff and I have had two small cavities filled. Very happy with this dental office. (3 March 2025 update) 02 Dental gave me another cleaning and I was very happy with the staff and the cost.

Positive experience: I’m sad to say I had to switch dental offices. I’ll start off by saying they have a very knowledgeable and nice staff. I was having issues, however, where every time I made an appointment, they called me to reschedule it because the hygienist was unavailable. Also, the last time I came the hygienist smelled like dogs/veterinary office which was pretty off putting. Overall, care was good but professionalism could use some work.

Negative experience: They love taking teeth out but have no interest in helping you fix your smile or even for that matter any opinions. I wanted to get looked at for All in 4s but was told we don't do that even though it's clearly on your website that you do. I know my situation isn't the best being born with a cleft lip so my smile was never there. I have 7 teeth left on my top row and only 9 left on the bottom so as you can imagine my food options are limited but the dentist said I'll be alright.... I literally live on mashed potatoes and jello but I'll be alright. Just wish I could just enjoy a ribeye and smile at my friends and family without covering my mouth from being embarrassed
Fantastic experience: I visited the O2 Dental Group of Durham for the first time today, and I can truly say that I had a great experience. Everyone from the front to the back of the office was very kind and inviting. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, and all of my questions were answered. Everyone was very mindful while operating on my teeth, and the dentist came up with a great obtainable plan for me to reach my goal of optimal oral health. 10/10, would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Went for a a filling, It’s been well over a month and my tooth still aches even though I went for a follow up. Scared to go back because now i’m being billed for $1600 even though each time i visited i paid at my appt. I have paid over $300 from my past visits. The finance rep contacted me stating that my insurance is out of network and purposely waited 30 days to let me know that i have a $1600 bill. I’m a college and had no idea about all of this. I would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: It’s so much girl power at this office!!! The hygienist Danielle very informative, her assistant Kenzie very helpful got me to the back quickly. Lauren and Chassidi very welcoming and my cleaning was quick. Dr Lydia gave great demonstration on what I need to do to have healthier teeth and, as always my check in and check out was wonderful Jasmine is on kind and has a smile on her face. Fantastic experience: I had a lovely experience at O2 dental last week. I went in for my cleaning and they found a cavity. They fit me in immediately! Negative experience: This agency has a policy that they will only schedule appointments for Medicaid patients 24 hours in advance. When I asked them why that was, they stated, "That's just our policy." I explained that many Medicaid patients rely on Medicaid transportation services to get to appointments (and that service requires 48 hour advance notice). They wouldn't budge. This "policy" doesn't apply to any of their other patients. Without an explanation for the rationale behind this policy, I have to assume its discriminatory.

Fantastic experience: My experience was great! I came in for x-rays and a scan for my teeth and was able to schedule a flouride treatment and cleaning for my teeth the same day (granted it was because someone cancelled, but I still loved how efficient and fast it was). The people that work there are really nice as well which is always a plus.

Fantastic experience: Just started with O2 due to dental issues. Requesting an appointment was fast on the website, appointment was 2 days later. Front office staff were fast and friendly, absolutely no issues and answered all my questions on billing and insurance. Got seen by Danielle and Kenzie who were 10/10 . Very nice and knowledgeable. Has more tech than any of the previous dental places I've been to and I can actually see what they're talking about. Overall the best experience I've had at a dental office.

Fantastic experience: I love this place and the staff! Today, I saw Danielle and Kenzie for my teeth cleaning. They were very friendly and accommodating. I got to choose what I wanted to watch on the TV - (cookie decorating videos on YouTube to calm my anxiety) and they even gave me a sensory toy upon request for extra support. I appreciate how they prioritize making me feel comfortable because the dentist is not my favorite place. I had to get numbing and they checked in with me consistently to make sure that I was okay. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the dynamic between the staff members. There is a beautiful synergy that I can feel which let's me know that they are truly a team and care about the work they do. I'm thoroughly impressed! This is the best dentist experience I've ever had!

Fantastic experience: Being in the military I have experience my fair share of dental practices. This practice is truly top tier. My dental team was the best and treated me with care. Yes I’m one of the patients that don’t like going to the dentist but they was patient kind and caring. My dental hygiene team did a exemplary job with my dental cleaning, Dental Assistant Kenzie and Hygienist Danielle are truly the best. Dr Lydia is so nice and kind. I would also like to thank Jazmin and Anaya for checking me in and out in a professional and quick manner . The facility is beyond exceptional. Multiply this staff across all dental practices.

Fantastic experience: Being in the military, I've experienced different dental practices all throughout the US and overseas and I can honestly say this is one of the best practices I've ever had the pleasure to be a patient at. The reception staff, especially Grettel, was polite, kind, helpful, and seemed happy to be there which is honestly rare to see nowadays at most businesses when walking up to the front desk. Cynthia, my dental hygienist, was excellent. She was a wealth of knowledge and gave me one of the best and thorough cleanings. Amazing bedside manner as well, O2 is lucky to have her! Dr. Hart was great as well. Very efficient and a straight shooter while also being extremely friendly and pleasant. 10/10 recommend. I plan to return to O2 for all my dental needs for the foreseeable future.

Negative experience: My first visit was in October 2023. Great visit. Since that time, I cannot in good faith recommend this practice. There was a billing error on their part and they have refused to issue me a refund (after many calls and texts). Finally, they stopped taking my calls and have been extremely disrespectful. They reel you in and then drop you like a hot pot.There are too many dentists in Durham to put up with their shenanigans. I am still paying monthly for the dental plan, still being disrespected. Run as fast as you can!

Fantastic experience: I cannot begin to express the level of anxiety I felt about dentists before my appointment with 02 Dental. I had a horrible experience with another local dentist office (I wont say the name but it is located on club Blvd and Guess Rd in Durham) so I had severe anxiety about Dentists. From my 1st examination to my recent extractions I have never had a more pleasant and calming dental experience. Having 3 teeth pulled in one day was nerve wrecking but the whole procedure was done in less than a half an hour. Absolutely the best. Thank you Dr. Hart and Chassidi who kept me very calm and relaxed. You are awesome!

Fantastic experience: I went to have x-rays, but I was able to have my tooth extracted and I thought it would be a lot of pain. I was nervous, but the doctor was very reassuring and it did not hurt at all. I ride back at home. Still no pain. I recommend this place to everybody that needed a dentist

Fantastic experience: I had 4 dental fillings done which went great. Dr. Hart and Chassidi were very calm and gentle, considering I was very nervous, however they talked with me through out the whole process and made me feel safe. Even at the front desk, Rachael and Jasmine were very welcoming and informative which also eased my nerves coming in. Fantastic experience: I recently took my mom to O2 Dental group of Durham for her toothache, and I'm happy to say that we had an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly front desk staff, Jazmin and Rachel, who provided us with excellent service and checked us in quickly. We were then taken to the back by Kenzie, who was a fantastic dental assistant. She made my mom feel comfortable and at ease during the entire visit. Fantastic experience: My first visit there was great. I went in for an emergency visit and they got me in right away but today I went back for a cleaning and my experience was even better. Jazmin, Kenzie and Rachel made sure that I was comfortable, educated and confident when I left. The cleaning was perfect and they actually let me choose what to watch on tv during my cleaning. They were professional, funny, transparent and kind. Me and my family will continue our dental hygiene journey with the Dr. Hart and the Durham team.

Negative experience: I have been to O2 Dental four times now, and each time I have spent over an hour waiting to be seen. It doesn’t matter if I am the first appointment of the day, or what I am having done, I can always expect to be there for at least an hour and a half with the vast majority of that time just waiting for something to happen. The staff are nice and the facility is clean, but it is infuriating to waste this much time. Find a different dentist that sees patients on time.

Fantastic experience: God is so good!!!! I went to the best place that anyone could go to if you are having problems with your teeth. I experience the love of God at O2 Dental Group in Durham n.c. on today. The staff was so sweet and loving and made me feel as if we knew each other just like family. Positive experience: Yes, I totally agreed with the other comment about the insurance. I deeply doubted the high price, so I checked my insurance using the search code. All my procedures covers at least 50%. However, only one of the listed items of their treatment plan matches the insurance coverage. Their treatment plan charges much more than the insurance, one is even 0 coverage. That's ridiculous. I deeply doubt they will swallow the extra charges. I am so angry that they treat patients like a foolish. So, every time, we should check the insurance ourselves.

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist, but the staff made it a great experience! They made me very comfortable and even gave me the option to listen to music or watch a movie during my procedure. Negative experience: I had a dental emergency and called ahead to see if they could help. I described my situation and what I needed. I was very clearly and explicitly told they had a dentist or an endodontist on site that could help. I booked an emergency appointment and went into the office. Unfortunately I was lied to, and there was no one that could help me. When I initially went in, I was told I was there for a cleaning, and when I asked about the emergency situation, they were clueless. For what it’s worth, the staff was very nice and the facility was very nice so I give them two stars. Unfortunately, the staff was just not knowledgeable or capable for my emergency. I can imagine if you only need simple cleanings and you have no real problems this is a great place to go, but for anything out of the ordinary or serious, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience with o2 Dental and highly recommend Dr Hart as a truly Exceptional dentist and Lauren is very pleasant and qualified assistant. They make an amazing team. The honesty and integrity in their work is unparalleled. Over the summer I needed an emergency appointment to get an extraction. I had a great fear of dentists for years but Dr. Hart and Lauren really worked with me and made my procedures as pain-free as possible! They were both very communicative about my comfort and made me feel at ease. Lauren even held my hand when I needed her too lol. What I appreciated so much is that she also put on my favorite gospel songs to calm me and reminded me of Gods word. I was good to go and the procedure was over before it even started. Dr Hart completed my extraction literally in less than 5 minutes. I couldn't believe it. I was locked in after this appointment. My commute is pretty far but it's worth it.The staff is very efficient, knowledgeable and makes your visit to the dentist something to look forward to.

Negative experience: Be careful about their overcharge!!! Save yourself some time and trouble by finding another dental clinic. Before you come, they try to get as much personal information as they can. If you refuse to provide, they will scare you with by saying they cannot process the insurance claim without your private information. I later found out it was not true in other dental clinic. Also, during their service, they try to upsale you anything as much as they can! If you say no, they will tell you your insurance will cover most of them which may not be true. Their billing department is also a mess. They will overcharge you and they are slow in giving your money back. If you want to avoid trouble and only want a regular dental service, please choose another one.

Negative experience: I was notified by my insurance provider that 02 Dental overcharged me for a service by $100s of dollars. When I reached out to billing they stated it was a "credit" on the account, but they refuse to refund my credit back to my card (which has now been suspended due to my EOB and what I paid them not matching). They provide great service, but there is something fraudulent happening in the billing department.

Negative experience: 02 Dental in Durham, NC, should be shut down due to substandard billing practices, such as requiring excessive upfront payments from customers with insurance. My dental insurance provider, GEHA, informed me that they processed the claim, and O2 Dental Office has already cashed the check. This transaction took place on May 11th when the claim was processed. Furthermore, this Durham office doesn’t allow direct communication with their billing personnel, as they work remotely. I’ve left messages with the receptionist, requesting a call from the billing person or office manager, but have only received one callback, which left no contact information. When requesting an email address, the receptionist provides only an organizational email, which tends to be unreliable. Today, on September 21st, I discovered that GEHA customer service spoke with the billing person and indicated that my primary insurance, BCBS Federal, needs to process the claim. I contacted BCBS today to inquire if they had received the claim, but they hadn’t. The dental office will need to send it, and BCBS mentioned that this process could take 4 to 6 weeks. In summary, for a service provided in April 2023, I’m still waiting for the office to issue a refund. O2 Dental has held our money since April, and they consistently overestimate the service’s actual cost, even when they are aware of the insurance coverage. The owed amount is nearly $100.00, and I wish I could charge them a late fee. I’m left wondering how many individuals fail to check their Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to verify the correct amount they should be paying for dental visits when they have insurance. Additionally, I chose GEHA because BCBS pays so little for dental health. In this case, BCBS is estimated to pay only $24.00 for an $821.00 bill.

Fantastic experience: My visit to O2 Dental was awesome. My young people knew exactly what they were doing. When I was given the medicine to numb me before I get my shot was simply awesome. I told the dentist that that numbing medicine would not work, but whatever she did with it before she gave me the needle, I did not feel a thing nothing at all. I had a root on my teeth that was longer than a half an inch, and she pulled in twist and turned to get that tooth out and it did not wanna come out but she got it out. I am not too sore. It did not hurt for the tooth to come out as routed as it was in there. It was so tight but she did it. And the dentist hygienist that was working with her. Did an awesome job as well. Marvelous what a great team. They also let me put on my favorite group on YouTube. “The Woody Specials”. I have never had a better experience at the dentist office then I had at.O2 Dental This is me the day, after no swelling, know nothing. The Tylenol work great for the pain. The night before my visit to the dentist, I did not sleep at all. The whole right side of my face was hurting. I’ll call the dental group at seven something in the morning and they answer the phone they made a way for me to come in and when I got there, they were able to pull my tooth that same day. It was no guarantee that they was going to be able to do it but they did it. I did not have to come back to have it done.

Fantastic experience: The customer service is absolutely outstanding!! I felt comfortable & safe even during this covid 19 pandemic. The staff went above & beyond. Dr. Hart cleaned my teeth. She was friendly & did an excellent job. My teeth were so white. I will be back!! UDATE: I did return and they are even more awesome than the first time! I recommend them to all of my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my first Implant treatment at O2 Dental. Dr. Hart and team provided a stressless experience that has left me so impressed with their care and expertise. Recovery during the first week has been easy enough by faithfully following management directions for pain meds and not chewing on the implant side. No difficulty at all. Fantastic experience: This is a great team of professionals! The Admin staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is a great relationship between the highly competent tech/assistants and the dentist. Doctor Hart is the best, most skilled-and personable dentist that I've ever had. Top notch group!

Negative experience: Awful place, save your time and teeth and go somewhere else. I had to pay for two crowns here that they messed up after telling them multiple times that it was fitting correctly, come to find out it wasn’t seated right and I had to get more work under the tooth done and then pay for a new crown. During that I get Laughing gas I was at this office three times two of the times they let my boyfriend come back with me since I’m scared of the dentist, on the third visit thought it was a different dentist and she stated he could not be in the room with me for the risk of him inhaling the gas as well?? On top of that they told me I needed about 9 fill ins and I would have to put a deposit down to schedule which I did. After thinking about it I went to another dentist to get a second opinion. Come to find out I only needed one fill in and they just wanted more money out of me. Took months to get the deposit I left down. They seemed nice while I was there but just now I know they just wanted to charge me money for unnecessary treatment's and then not give me my money back.

Negative experience: I’m done with this place. I’ve tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but every time they disappoint me more & more. I took off work for an appointment and my appt. Was canceled 1 hr before my procedure through a text message. Later when I came in I payed my co-pay for a cleaning & for an exam after not even a 5 minute exam & an x-ray I was told they couldn’t do my cleaning because they were closing earlier than the actual time & the hygienist didn’t have time to see me, After they took my payment. Later I needed a tooth extracted & was given 3 different prices in matter of days. First they told me $30, when I made the appointment they told me $135 & I had to pay half or full price through the phone when I told her about the previous price they gave me she said that their prices changed but she would “fix” it. So she brought it down to $50. I was in pain & didn’t feel like arguing so I took it. My insurance was always the same so idk what they based their prices on. & the customer service is awful.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hart and her assistant took great care of me during my first visit and made me feel very comfortable by explaining the procedure and what to expect. The extraction was painless! During my second visit, Dr. Crisp extracted my wisdom tooth so easily I didn’t even feel anything! His assistant Vanessa made me feel at ease from beginning to end. Kayla, the treatment coordinator is great! She explained costs and options effectively during both of my visits with a very pleasant approach. Thank you to the Durham team! Negative experience: This place is trash. They couldn’t get me in for a cleaning for 2 months. Ok, I waited. They then cancelled my appointment the morning of the appointment. Just an hour before the apt. I took off work for this. Their policy is 24h notice or it cost the individual $50. I asked for my $50 and sent my venmo. They laughed. This place is trash. If you want your teeth cleaned I’d recommend somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit with Dr. Hart. I ended up getting my 3 remaining wisdom teeth removed after my cleaning. I am terrified of the dentist. I expressed several concerns to Dr. Hart. She listened and made sure I was comfortable. She took GREAT care of me through the visit and explained everything as she went. She was patient with me, which meant a lot. I’m not sure if she always this amazing or if she could tell that I needed extra love because I was terrified but I appreciate it. I even received a courtesy phone call the following morning from Dr. hart, not a representative of her office, just to make sure that I was okay. That meant a lot. The front desk staff was so sweet and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. My prescription was sent in a timely fashion. I also called the following day to ask that a document be emailed to me, it was sent quickly. The assistant that got me ready for my exam was sweet and reassured me because she could tell that I was nervous. It was her first day and she did great. The hygienist gave me great recommendations on a tooth brush and mouthwash for my specific concerns. She was so sweet and knowledgeable. I will definitely spread the news about O2 Dental. The first time I’ve felt comfortable at the dentist in my 33 years on earth.

Fantastic experience: Woke up the other day with an abscessed tooth. Having just recently moved here, I didn't have a dentist yet. Called O2 Dental Group and they got me in the same day! Dr Hart put me on antibiotics and I went back in a few days later to have it pulled. Dr Hart was so gentle. She and her entire team are awesome! Definitely found my dentist here in Durham.
