Fantastic experience: Been going to Simply Dental for 10 years now. It’s mostly only been for cleanings, but they also handled my wisdom teeth removal. I appreciate how straight forward and friendly they have been. I also never feel like they are trying to upsell me on something.

Negative experience: Andrew Young was supposed to replace a filing in the upper right 3rd tooth. Andrew Young started to drill and knocked the wall out my tooth, leaving a big chip in my 3rd tooth. He never let me know of this issue and a couple years later my teeth started falling out. It was only until I talked with a dental hygienist at the University of Washington dentist who told me that my three back tooth are cracked.

Negative experience: Don’t choose this clinic, especially if you are working under tech company and maybe trying to find a clinic which is nearby. They don’t have good communication with the customer. I got the email to pay the amount or call them. However the only button in the email is to give the credit card number. They don’t have the explanation where’s the amount coming from. You need to call them and verify if it’s a fair paid. They will also complain that it’s your insurance company issue. Choose here if you want to be bothered every payment

Fantastic experience: Dr Ramaah was so kind and amazing. He removed coffee stains from my teeth during the regular cleaning session and I am so happy I got this done.

Positive experience: dental work was good, but I expected a better standard for how patients are billed. I was told that everything should be 100% covered by my insurance prior to my appointment but after the appointment, I got a 300$ bill. (Plus the doctor was 1 hr late for my scheduled appointment) Edit: After speaking with the team, they offered a solution. I appreciate the good service and am updating my rating to 4 stars.

Fantastic experience: I actually enjoy my dentist visits ever since I started visiting Simply Dental. My hygienist today was so personable and professional. She also took great care and did an amazing job restoring my smile. Very happy!

Negative experience: This was an extremely unprofessional and disorganized experience. I had a root canal appointment scheduled for 11:30 AM, However, by 12:30 PM, I still had not started the treatment. The staff were constantly looking for tools and materials, seemingly not knowing where anything was located. The dentist treated multiple patients at the same time and was very difficult to find throughout the process. At one point, an assistant even asked me if I was another patient’s name, which was not me. That moment genuinely scared me, as it raised serious concerns about the possibility of treating the wrong tooth. Overall, the entire visit consisted of waiting for people, waiting for equipment, and watching staff search for things. This level of chaos does not inspire any confidence as a patient. I originally scheduled 3 treatment sessions, but after attending just one, I have decided to switch to another dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: I've been a fiercely loyal patient here for fifteen(?) years now. I left Seattle for a couple of years and never took the time to see a dentist while I was away. When I learned I'd be moving back to Seattle, *literally* the first call I made was to Simply Dental to book an appointment when I got back in town. True story. And I've still never had a cavity fwiw.

Positive experience: I was shocked to receive an unexpected $300 charge at checkout for a scan that no one mentioned to me beforehand. When I arrived for my appointment, they simply called my name, directed me to a machine, and performed the scan without explaining anything or telling me there would be an extra fee. This feels very misleading and unprofessional. I don’t think it’s normal to add such a charge without informing the patient first. Edit: I am happy with the resolution provided, changing to 4 starts instead

Fantastic experience: I started coming to Simply Dental after having my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Andrew, and that experience was excellent from start to finish. The procedure and healing went smoothly, and I felt genuinely cared for. My recent visit for a cleaning was also great especially thanks to Marina, RDA. She is truly amazing. Her warm, bubbly personality, clear communication, and genuine care made the visit so comfortable. She truly represents what excellent patient care should look like. My orthodontic consultation today, however, was more mixed. While Dr. Bianca was wonderful, patient, kind, and very clear, my interaction with one particular assistant was not a good experience at all. As soon as I reached the doorway to the treatment area with my 14-year-old brother (whose appointment was right after mine), I was stopped abruptly and asked if I had filled out a HIPAA form. No one has ever stopped me at the door like this before, and the way it was addressed felt cold and unwelcoming. I was confused, as my understanding is that HIPAA protects patient information, not physical presence and unless a patient specifically limits who may receive information, I did not expect that a separate form was required just for him to be present during a consultation. What made this more frustrating is that later my brother was brought back and personally scanned without a guardian present. He also told me that the same assistant repeatedly asked him personal questions about where our parents were, including “Where is your mom?” and “Where is your dad?” This felt unnecessary, inappropriate, and uncomfortable especially since a legal guardian was already present in the office. I respect office policies and support patient privacy, but they should be enforced consistently, respectfully, and with proper explanation. Unfortunately, this assistant’s tone, lack of communication, and repeated personal questioning made the visit unpleasant. Overall, I still think this is a great office. The front desk team and Dr. Bianca were fantastic, and Marina truly sets the standard for patient care. I hope this feedback helps address professionalism and communication moving forward, as I do have future appointments and would like to continue coming here with confidence.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Dr. Wendy Yeung with Simply Dental for almost 10 years. When I first came to the clinic, my teeth were in very sorry shape, with countless cavities, extreme sensitivity, and multiple discolored and uneven fillings performed by my old dentist. Over the years, I've slowly been correcting my oral hygiene care with the clinic's guidance, fixing old fillings, completing necessary root canals, and have even done Invisalign to help with jaw pain. The patience and care they've taken with me is immense. When I first came to Simply Dental, I was extremely distrustful of dentists, anxious, and hostile due to my bad experiences at my previous dental clinic, and I'm so grateful Dr Wendy was willing to work with me and help me fix my teeth despite my initial terrible attitude.

Positive experience: I wasn't told that Dr Kim won't be there for the appointment, instead a substitute hygienist who did okay. But preferred Dr Kim times over. Thank you

Negative experience: I would not recommend Simply Dental. They charged me an $85 cancellation fee even though I left a voicemail more than two days before my appointment to cancel. After being a loyal patient for 10 years, I was disappointed by the lack of courtesy and flexibility.

Everyone running it, from the front desk to the doctors and assistants, is not only professional but also shows a level of empathy I have not experienced in a clinic before. Moreover, Dr. Rita has been working with me to get my mouth up to snuff, and it's been a warm and comfortable experience given how uncomfortable getting a root canal can be. Another thing I want to call out is that during my initial onboarding, at no time did anyone scold me for not being exemplary with my dental hygiene. I appreciated that. Yes, people know they have to take care of their teeth, yes, we know we need to floss more. People come from all sorts of backgrounds and situations. Educating and giving reasons is a better remedy to encourage in that area. And that's what I got there. Will be going back in perpetuity.

Plus they have a state of the art machine for cleaning the root canal if u have to have that procedure done. Fantastic experience: Dr. Kim is my dentist and I highly recommend her. She’s very detail with my dental exam/cleaning. The office is a bit dated and not as clean as I’m used to coming from the suburbs, but the doctors/staff make up for it.

Fantastic experience: I rarely ever write reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. If you have a very good corporate dental beware of all the recommended procedures and get a second opinion. The dentist here I believe Dr. Wu is really nice and doesn't seem to be pushing for unnecessary fillings and other dental work. Other dentists had recommended more than four fillings on my right side and Dr. Wu recommended wait and watch since the teeth weren't deteriorating much in the time frame of about one and half year. He also recommended only one wisdom tooth removal compared to all three as per other dentist. So from lining up expensive procedures perspective I am very happy. Especially given the fact that my insurance could have easily taken the expense. Bravo! Additionally they were able to acomodate me for a cleaning right after the examination the same day! Negative experience: I’m sad to say the last few visits have been extremely unfortunate. My last teeth cleaning left my gums bleeding and in pain. Not my visit two days ago but prior to that. Then I was charged over $200 which the person at the front could not even explain to me why. I sat there while they attempted to look it up but could not even tell me why I was charged this amount. I paid it so I wouldn’t have a balance but still have no clue as to why. Then I mentioned I needed to pick up my retainer and the person at the front handed it to me over the counter to try on. Not in a private room, but in the lobby. I put it on and it didn’t fit. Not to mention I paid $400 for this and I only received the bottom retainer and not the top. This is absolutely unacceptable. I also booked my appointment specifically on Thursday so I could see my Dr. I normally go to but never met him. Seems things are going downhill at this location and I have referred over 6 people here. Sad to leave this review because in the past it’s always been 5 stars. I’ll change this review if they contact me and make things right. But I will not refer another person here and I’m also looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Simply Dental makes going to the dentist fun! The Saturday crew is the best - the techs, the assistants, the doctors and the office staff are all so personable and welcoming. Fast and easy check in , breezing thru the procedure while somehow still making conversation and doing it well, I always leave feeling better than when I came in. I’ve been coming here for over TEN years - I’ve even moved three times, and each time further away - but I don’t care, I’d never get a new dentist!

Fantastic experience: I have never had such a good experience at a dental office ever in my life. I will be coming here indefinitely. My sister raved about this place and I thought she was pulling my leg (she was not). Full disclosure: I’m an incredibly anxious person and with the thoughtful care of the whole team( from the front desk to the actual exam) I left with a smile on my face and my nerves at ease. Shout out to Cali or Cally ( sorry if I butcher your name) who was incredibly attentive to my needs and was just an overall sweet person.

Negative experience: If you plan to pay with a debit card, never come to this place, since it seems that these people care more about people with insurance, obviously to get more money from the insurance companies. Unfortunately, over the years, after being a good clinic for me, over the years they have changed a lot of the staff, transferring it to a clinic that only seeks to get more money.

Fantastic experience: Background At a dental office in Ballard I was told I had a cavity and a D2392 composite filling - 2 surfaces was needed. The prices seemed high ($886 for a standard initial visit) so I used to chatgpt to look for places that might provide better value. During my research I found that 3 of the 4 dental places I contacted inflated prices for self insured since as one dental receptionist told me “you don’t have negotiation power”. Chatgpt suggested Simply Dental based on reviews. They quoted D2392 at $220 instead of Ballards $335. My understanding is that Simply Dental self insured prices are based on PPO rates. My Experience * I transferred x-rays to Simply Dental. Both receptionists I interacted I found helpful. * The dentist indicated that from the x-ray it was unclear whether the cavity in a filling I had was 1 or 2 surface but she suspected 1 and quoted a filling at $180. * In the same visit the dentist provided the filling. * Normally I would feel the needle injection but in this case I did not which I see as either luck or a testament to the dentists skill and care. * I found the level of communication to be perfect and the filling was single surface in line with what she had suspected. * A quote was provided for a future visit in 6 months and if I remember correctly it was $39 for fluoride varnish. X-rays I think were $29. This is ~⅓ the cost of Modern Dental. Why I’m posting a review It seems strange that contrary to other industries dental pricing in the US is not very transparent. For the self insured, negotiation power comes partly from dental pricing transparency. I’m posting this review so maybe chatgpt and search engines can pick up that Simply Dental as of Oct 2024 offers self insured ~parity pricing with those who are insured through 3rd parties. Even if I switch to getting insurance through an employer, I plan to stay with Simply Dental since I like how they operate.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to this practice for 8 years now. They are terrific people, great doctors, and have the latest technology onsite to support dental needs. Free parking if you need it, and near a few bus stops, and centrally located.

The assistant and dentist that helped were informative and kind, and answered all the questions I had. The parking is free, and the location is super easy to get to and find. It's a little scary to have to do that but him and the team really put me at ease and were available if I needed anything. The whole process was smooth. The team was kind & professional and everything was explained in understandable detail. Highly recommend Simply Dental. They also have a free parking lot if you sign in.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Simply Dental since I moved to Seattle five years ago, and it’s been a fantastic experience. The location is convenient, usually just a 10-minute walk from the Amazon offices. The staff is always friendly, and they do an excellent job with my teeth. Plus, they accept Amazon insurance, which is a huge bonus. I love the little perks, like the free chapstick at the counter parking etc. I highly recommend Simply Dental and have already referred many of my fellow Amazon employees. They always work with me when it comes to my insurance they do their best to get the best deal they have parking they're open on the weekends open and evenings . I had an emergency once on my tooth and they got me in within 15 minutes and it was a Saturday . Everyone's always willing to help out . It happened again. They got me in within an hour. Great customer service I feel they're always willing to help out when needed !!!

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been going to Simply Dental for 15 plus years. They are alway professional, knowledgable, and make us feel informed. There are 4 of us and they always get us in a timely manner , they accept insurance and prices are very reasonable. They have state of the art technology and are always up to date on new things. I would give them 12 stars if I could they really are the best! In fact we drive all the way from Snohomish because we are that happy with everything they do!

Negative experience: While getting my x-rays, the hygienist noticed and laughed about the cord catching on her pants causing the sharp plastic square in my mouth to move and hurt me. She took at least 10 images, never trying to correct or avoid the problem. I do have a cut on the roof of my mouth from one of the sharp plastic sleeves. Second red flag: Prior to cleaning my teeth, the hygienist began a dentist’s exam of the depth of bone decay in my mouth by poking a dental instrument as far down into the gum line of each tooth as she could go with no thought about the bacteria she is dragging far into my gum line. Third red flag: the hygienist begins to recommend deep cleanings and has not even begun to clean my teeth. Results: I made the choice to leave without a cleaning feeling disappointed and upset as I was looking forward to having my teeth cleaned. I am glad I left because they were not even able to provide x-rays without hurting me. Had I read the reviews online prior to making my appointment, I would not have chosen Simply Dental.

Negative experience: I went in for a regular annual cleaning (D1110) appointment on 06/05/24. I received a statement where I found I had been up-coded (D4910) for periodontal treatment while I wasn't presented with any treatment plan in-office. In fact I asked about out-of-pocket expenses and the staff told me that my insurance would take care of all of it as this is regular cleaning and covered by most insurers. Guess what, D4910 isn't covered by most insurers. Please note: the doctor (Dr. Dan Lee) and his assistant were both great to work with. My gripe is with the Simply Dental business and their misleading practices. Especially the person who checked me out was confidently incorrect at best and lying to my face at worst. I reached out to the business and received a response that seemed to put the onus on me to know what I'm getting treated for. As a patient you need to go equipped with a lawyer by your side to hold providers like these accountable. So I raised a complaint with BBB. I will consider updating my review if they decide to own their mistake and remove the extra charges. I'm prepared to file a complaint with the WA state attorney general in case this isn't resolved quickly. Edit: The business responded callously calling my 'out of pocket' as "small". $62.40 may not be a lot but it's their duty to inform me of what procedure they are performing on me and present full information. It shows their integrity and how much they care given they haven't bothered addressing the actual issue and tried to shame the expenditure as "small" and trivialize my attempts at raising a valid concern.

I am so lucky to have found Simply Dental! I see Dr Andy and my husband sees Dr Wendy, Ive also worked with the radiologist Dr Nally - all super knowledgeable and wonderful people. They can do most every kind of dental work you need, yet are not hesitant to refer you to specialists when they feel its best for the patient. The office staff is wonderful and will work with you on billing and insurance. Pre-Covid they had coffee, tea, and a fridge full of nice drinks. Oh yeah, convenient location on Denny near SLU/downtown and they have free parking!

Negative experience: This place used to be good. I went there for several years roughly 9 years. Since last year the quality of hygienist and the doctor has gone down significantly. I had a very painful experience just for the basic cleaning.

Fantastic experience: My favorite dentist I’ve been to in seattle. Always make me feel comfortable, cared about, and informed. They charge reasonable prices with my insurance. Ive had consultations, x-rays and exams, and implant infection treatment and I have been beyond satisfied with both the dental and periodontal teams. Just had a deep cleaning today, and will be going back for another deep cleaning soon. My doctor was thoughtful of my sensitivities and made my dental anxiety a little less worse. My gums hurt but they say thank you, Simply Dental team!

Fantastic experience: They are quick, friendly and educate the patient on everything they are doing or what needs to be done. I did not feel rushed or as if they were trying to add on a bunch of unnecessary services. I’ve been to some dentists that do that but that was not my experience here. If anything, they told me to watch out for certain areas and how to prevent it from getting worse. I wish I wasn’t moving out of state so I could continue to come back here.
