Fantastic experience: The receptionists were so kind to me, they got me checked in so quickly although I was a Walk-In. I was in so much pain and the dental Tech and Dentist were so kind to me and helped me so quickly. I was able to get a painful tooth extracted and leaving within 2 hours of arriving as a walk-in. I have never been to such an organized, clean, and kind establishment that truly cared about me. The receptionist were so careful and checked my insurance before solidifying any final payment. I have been recommending this office to my family and friends.

Positive experience: I have been coming there over a year for my maintenance on my teeth and they asked me about putting an antibiotic in the back of 2 teeth I asked her how much she said $55 but she would do it for 35. I said go ahead when I get ready to check out they charge me $35 x 4 each so I canceled my appointment that I had made in for 2 backApril and I’ll just try to find another dentist

Fantastic experience: I had an awesome experience at Ideal Dental. The environment was very welcoming from start to finish. Everyone was professional, friendly, and courteous. Dr. Joseph informed me of everything she was doing and why it needed to be done. I felt very comfortable in the chair after speaking with her. I'd recommend her for anyone in search of a dentist!

Negative experience: Terrible experience here. Quick to take X-rays (3D and regular) to charge the insurance but couldn’t help with the actual issue. Never had this experience with any dental office from where I came from. Just seems like lady here was very young and inexperienced. Then the whole asking me about pronouns and what I preferred to be called was the icing on the cake for me. Would not come back. To top all that off, some lady came in so furious that she had some massive bill from this place because they didn’t properly bill something to her insurance.

Negative experience: Dr. Patel & his staff are absolutely amazing, professional, helpful. They are very knowledgeable & thorough. If you have an emergency, they get you in as quick as possible. They also make sure you are as comfortable as possible as well. I very much recommend Ideal Dental & Dr. Patel & his team! Update: My family won't go back to this dentist since Dr. Patel has left. My oldest son went there for dental work & they caused him so much pain. They never could complete the work on 1 visit. It took numerous visits & thousands of dollars out of pocket just to complete the work. The amount of pain they caused is considered abuse!

Negative experience: Not impressed with initial call, they offered no help at all for my two basic questions. Wouldn't even answer if they accepted my insurance. Not the kind of dentist I look for. Said I would have to make an appointment, before I would know if they would cover my plan. Most places have offered to take my number and then let me know.

Fantastic experience: I’m terrified of the dentist and today Heather made my experience wonderful. I didn’t get shamed about my cavities or the fact that I haven’t kept up with the dentist. They didn’t make me feel bad once for my dental problems and while I’m still nervous for my next appointment everything went really smooth. Heather really helped by the constant reassurance and telling me the next steps!

Negative experience: I will never go back to this again in my lifetime. I am young and I feel as if they took advantage of me. The receptionist was very unprofessional. I was left alone in the room for almost 30 mins by myself with sticks in my mouth, causing me to throw up and have a panic attack. The shot was not done correctly causing me to feel horrible pain. My back teeth have been shaved down so much, it feels like my gums could grow over them. My smile will never be the same.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time here and I loved it. The whole staff from the front desk to the dental assistant to the doctor were phenomenal. I’m not the biggest fan of going to the dentist, but they all made me at ease. I had to have an emergency tooth extraction and they had me in and out in about an hour. Also, they had football and good tunes while I was being worked on and a great movie playing out front. I highly recommend Ideal Dental.

Negative experience: Update: Well they went ahead and jacked up the prices. Was told at my last appointment that as long as I continue to come in every 6 months the cleaning/check-up would remain $30 (and I believe something was said about additional services being discounted if I came in every 6 months but not 100% sure about that). Was told AFTER they did my first 6 month cleaning that it was gonna be $80 — over double what I was told at my last appointment! Just another corporate place more concerned about profits than patient outcome. Ideal should be ashamed that they market “affordable options for no insurance” just to pull a bait and switch. Original Review: Ideal Dental in Murfreesboro is amazing!! I went there after not seeing a dentist for about 5 or 6 years and they’ve taken such great care of me. At my initial cleaning/exam they got me a treatment plan: gingivitis cleaning, two fillings, and four wisdom teeth extractions. They did the gingivitis cleaning that day, scheduled the fillings for about two weeks later and the wisdom tooth surgery a week after the fillings. The initial cleaning was I believe only a week or two after I requested an appointment. Their turnaround time is excellent, some of the other dentists in the area couldn’t even get me in for the cleaning/exam for a couple months, but Ideal has taken care of 3 appointments in only a months time. I also don’t have dental insurance and I found the prices to be fairly reasonable. All the staff - front desk, assistants, hygienists, and doctors - are all extremely kind and professional. I did the conscious sedation for my wisdom teeth removal, and while everyone experiences it differently, I still felt fairly awake and alert, yet the procedure was still not bad at all. Once I was numbed up it only took the doctor maybe 10-15 minutes to pull all four teeth (3 of which were impacted) and sew me up and send me on my way. Of the three appointments I’ve had, 2 of them they called me back at exactly my appointment time, and the one today I got called back about 30 minutes after my appointment time. (I believe I might have been waiting for the oral surgeon to free up as they don’t have as many of them). This is all great considering quite a few dentist/doctors offices won’t call you back on time ever! As long as they don’t jack up their prices, or have a major staff overhaul, they’ve got a patient for life with me!

Positive experience: The receptionist was unprofessional. She called my insurance on speakerphone and then asked for personal info to input. I questioned it and she seemed to have an attitude about it. Overall dentist was nice but I was charged money for a service that I was told insurance doesn't cover. Claim sent after visit and so called service doesn't even appear on claim. This is very fishy. Take caution if you need to go here

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this office! I normally have pretty intense anxiety around dental work, but from the moment I walked in, every single team member made me feel calm, safe, and genuinely cared for. They explained everything clearly, moved at a pace that respected my comfort level, and constantly checked in to make sure I was okay. I had a procedure done that I was really nervous about, but to my surprise — it didn’t even hurt! Even now as I’m healing, they’ve made sure I know what to expect and how to take care of it. The staff is not only professional but incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. I honestly felt like I was in such good hands the entire time. If you have dental anxiety like me, this is the place to go. They truly went above and beyond and I’m so grateful. Thank you to the entire team — I finally don’t dread the dentist anymore!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Amir Sondi is the best dentist ever! I went again to get a cleaning and whitening and the dental hygienist, Jabria, was amazing. She was so patient and did a great job. She was also hyping me up which helped me calm down a lot.

Negative experience: Had pools of spit pour down my neck due to an inexperienced dental assistant and was lied to in the chair about how much each service costs; was told irrigation was $25 and got hit with a $100 charge for irrigation at the front desk. Never coming back

Fantastic experience: This is a great office with a great staff. The hygienist has very gentle hands the dentist is very knowledgeable and ladies up front made me feel welcome. Every time I have visited this location I have had a pleasant experience.

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience here. They said I needed a crown for a cavity on a tooth that was too small while another dentist said just a filling would be fine. They also had to remake both of the crowns I had to get so at one point I had a temporary crown on both sides of my mouth. There are much better dentists to go to. Do not go here unless you want to be overcharged for bad dental work.

Fantastic experience: The staff is absolutely amazing and makes sure you are comfortable. My first time at the dentist in almost 20 years and I was nervous but after my consultation I couldn’t wait for them to make my smile better. Only thing that sucked was my mouth wouldn’t numb all the way and after around 8 numbing shots I could still feel the tooth being pulled. But this is not due to something being done wrong.

Fantastic experience: Today was my husband and my first visit and we LOVED everyone!!! All staff were extremely friendly, went out of their way to get answers we asked! They educated us on all procedures needed and why! We booked both our teenagers to come there before we left! We highly recommend!!

Negative experience: The African lady up front was very rude an not professional at all on the phone . She Wouldn't transfer me to someone else after I asked her to , also laughed on the phone basically told me to come up there . Didn't mention about transferring documents over from last dentist I used . Overall a terrible experience and I am moving to another dentist . They didn't run my insurance before I got to their office which I didn't even get my teeth cleaned like my appointment was scheduled for .

Negative experience: Very unprofessional and unprofessional organized. Over a year and they have done alot of work on me and cost alot of money. Went in today for a root canal but, had an infection. Last time this happened one of there many dentists said you can't do a root canal with an infection. This time it's fine. On top of that they thought they were Done after that and they dont have proper records of what has been done. No thank you ill go elsewhere.

Negative experience: When they first opened: Everyone is super nice!! Amazing service. They go above and beyond. Dr. Patel is very informative. Highly recommend! Offered lifetime teeth whitening. Years later: Go somewhere else!!!! Dr. Patel is gone. “No longer offer original lifetime teeth whitening” Why not call me and tell me you were going to be closed? Why send out a confirmation text, reminding me of my appointment? Ladies upfront are not pleasant. They force Invisalign on you.

I called him yesterday with a really bad tooth cause I had went to Nashville to the surgical implant place there in Nashville and they wanted to charge me $6000. And because I was liking $300. There in Nashville, they wouldn't do anything for me. I called ideal dental. They got me in at 130 and that day and then had Schedule me another appointment for this Friday to take care of it for me. For 6 thousand dollars cheaper So please if you ever have To see the dentist go here. Super nice staff very caring.All I can say is a wonderful place to go.This will be my forever dentist

Positive experience: I came in, as a new patient, to have my teeth cleaned. They went through their new patient procedure then told me I would have to return another day to have the cleaning done. I was not told in advance that this would be a 2 visit process to get something as simple as a cleaning done. The staff was kind but I don't think this will end up being the dentist office me and my family use.

Negative experience: Was told a specific price the days leading up to my surgery then when I arrived for my appointment it was $280 more than expected. The oral surgeon made little effort to make me feel comfortable and acted irritated when i showed discomfort. Ive had positive experiences with them in the past but after this appointment I doubt I will be returning.

The lady whom did all my X~rays…exceptional service, she calmly explains each stage (process) for new patients and ensures that all is understood!! Very knowledgeable and nice!! The doc was nice and again explained everything and ensured all was understood before appointments were set!! Finally the nice lady comes to you with a print out for all recommended services and the price for each procedure minus your insurance!! She then set up your next appointments before leaving!! I highly recommend Ideal dental, the facility is clean and the modernized medical tools makes each step painless and clean!! Thanks for awesome service!!!

Negative experience: Had less than a ideal visit! First the staff yelled at my daughter for her singing doll… the hygenist was amazing but the front desk manager seems like a scam artist !!! She wouldn’t tell me my plan or print it out and said she couldn’t like she made a whole story up why she couldn’t print and show me my charges and plan and exact detail of what all I paid for with two insurances covering me!!! It’s was very shady and like she is stealing money from people..// not only that she told me they refuse to fix my fillings that Smyrna location did and two days after the Smyrna location did them they all fell out and cracked and what’s EVEN MORE CRAZY ABOUT SMYRNA IS they said I had two cavities in the back and needed them pulled but Murfreesboro confirmed I didn’t not have those cavities!!!! Again ideal dental wether Murfreesboro or Smyrna the “front desk” mangers need to be fired due to very shady behaviors and poor customer service but also whoever owns these facilities needs to make sure they hire people who know how to do there job!!! This is peoples teeth we are talking about here!!! Also when i requested my X-rays they not only refused for months but when i finally did get them to send any X-ray copies they sent it in a form that couldn’t be opened to be passive aggressive!!! This chain needs to be shut down… watch more shady behavior will follow other’s eventually… might have to pop out my lawyer I pay for weekly through insurance and sue this chain justice for my emotional distress and damage to my teeth and lack of cooperation of sending my X-rays and more!!! After the “manager “ at Murfreesboro was supposed to call Smyrna to see about fixing her mess but after she stole 100.00 from me I never heard a thing… shame shame on crooks!!

Fantastic experience: A really great place. The young lady who took my ex- ray was so friendly, patient and sweet. In addition, the doctor was very friendly and made me feel very welcoming including all the workers there.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit, and I must say, I was impressed. I was met with concierge level service from the time I walked in until I left. They are very transparent with cost and discussed all equipment and technology used on me. The dentist and his dental assistants were knowledgeable and very kind.

Fantastic experience: I had an AMAZING experience here; I had a filling fall out and the tooth needed to be removed. I had never visited this office before in the past and I was in and out in under 2 hours including new patient paperwork, X-rays, and tooth extraction! Fantastic experience: I was in so much pain with a broken molar and they were quick to get me in the same day. Office is very clean and decorated very esthetically. The staff is very nice, Ms. Jacklyn was very understanding and worked super fast and efficiently to get me seen. She made me feel better in the middle of a flare up. Dr. Joseph was very sweet and got me treated in no time. I feel so much better and so very happy I found this dentistry!

Negative experience: Expensive and shady. Unresponsive . Their ideal dental plan is useless. I needed some cavities filled (over $300 per cavity. Btw) Which the plan was supposed to cover but it doesn’t. And the entire time I was there I was fighting off people trying to upsell me things and sneaking in hidden charges. Felt more like a room with salesman than dentists. When I checked out, they automatically printed me off a care plan that included Invisalign and a few other things that I had never asked for or even hinted at. I was there just for my cavity. I also had braces so my teeth are straight so I don’t know why they were trying to force me to get thousands of dollars worth of Invisalign. I had to argue and force them to print me off my receipt with just the things I asked for. And when I reached back out for help about my bad experience or clarification on the ideal dental plan I never got a response. The only reason they are worth one star is the one tech I had who knew I had a phobia of the dentist was really kind and helpful. But she was it.

Fantastic experience: Got to me the exact minute of my appointment. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Gave me options, but did not push upcharges. Left very pleased. Will give them another try for cleaning.
