Fantastic experience: Major Smiles dentistry was amazing. I had been going somewhere prior for 10 years, but I always felt very anxious and unsettled. As soon as I walked into Major Smiles, I felt a sigh of relief. Mandy was my hygienist. She was very attentive, kind, and explained everything. I didn't feel any pain or aniexty during my visit. Dr. Major was very kind, informative, and gentle. It was a great experience. The office was very clean too!

Fantastic experience: Very happy with my dental hygienist, Patricia. She's very nice, very gentle and extremely efficient. She's full of positive energy in the morning which is nice when you're coming to get your teeth cleaned.

Negative experience: They sent me to a specialist, and were suppose to send them my x-rays of my teeth. I called Dr. Major to tell them I did make the appointment with who they sent me to and they wanted the x-rays of what Dr. Major's had done. Needless to say Dr. Major drop the ball and didn't do it. The specialist had to take more x-rays. I don't feel like Dr. Major wants me as a client.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience. The staff was a delight and they made me feel not so nervous lol. Dr. Major was very kind and professional. He explained in details all the procedures that was going to be performed. I was very happy with my visit♥️

They are EXTREMELY sensitive to the patients needs, and they actually Work to make the patient comfortable and explain everything they’re doing before they do it. I have had LOTS of issues with dentists in the past, but I have referred my daughter AND my mother to Major Smiles. The staff is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING♥️ (And, yes, I even appreciate you Doc) If you’re looking for a dentist that you can TRUST and won’t “hurt” you, this is your dentist. EDIT: My dental insurance changed to an out of network plan and I’m STILL going to Major Smiles, now THAT’S Major!!

Fantastic experience: Emily was great with answering all the questions I had relating to insurance and what they could do to work with me financially. Dr. Major was very nice and understanding, he’s definitely the type to listen before speaking and take your concerns seriously. A lot of Tennessee is controlled by these big corporations that own most of the dentists in the area, watch out for Smile Generation. They will screw you over and try to bill your insurance for a ton of unnecessary things. Instead come see Dr. Major and let him and his staff take care of you, you will be both financially better and physically better with a happy mouth.

Fantastic experience: I started going to Major Smiles this year. I’ve ended up having a pretty bad year for my teeth with gum disease and a root canal failure. So, I’ve seen Dr. Major and his staff a lot. They have been consistently pleasant and gone above and beyond every time. I have a pretty consistently busy and hectic schedule and they have always worked around it. Whether it was starting treatment for gum disease while I was in the middle of planning for a trip, removing all of my wisdom teeth and putting in several fillings shortly before my college semester started, rescheduling appointments quickly when my schedule has changed, or helping me with sudden severe tooth pain on the week of Thanksgiving, Dr. Major and his staff have pulled through for me over and over again. On top of that, everybody who works there are just really sweet and kind people who care about their patients. Definitely the best dentist I’ve ever had.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at this office off and on for about 4 years. In the past, I always spoke highly of Dr. Major. He was very gentle and kind to me, especially when I was pregnant, and I trusted him enough to recommend many friends and family to his practice. That is why this review is so disappointing to write. Over the years, I’ve had ongoing issues with a crown he placed. It fell off and had to be reattached, and later when I lost my dental insurance and it came off again, I had no choice but to pay out of pocket at another office to get it replaced. At my most recent visit, Dr. Major told me that if I had called him he would have fixed it for free, but I was never made aware of that option at the time. Unfortunately, I have still had problems with that tooth even after the replacement. Most recently, I scheduled an appointment a month in advance and showed up on time, only to be told they couldn’t find my appointment and that I hadn’t confirmed. I explained that I never received any voicemails or texts, and when they tried to send me a test message, I still didn’t receive it. Instead of handling it discreetly, the front desk staff spoke to me in a very rude and dismissive way in front of another patient, which was extremely embarrassing. I was also told I should have known about their new confirmation policy, even though it was never mentioned to me when I booked the appointment. The situation became even more uncomfortable when I later learned that the person who treated me this way was not just a staff member, but the co-owner of the practice and Dr. Major’s wife. At that point, I felt I could not share my concerns without it becoming personal, and I no longer felt comfortable being a patient there. While I truly appreciated Dr. Major’s care in the past, this last experience was unprofessional, embarrassing, and disappointing enough that I will not be returning. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience left me no choice. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously so that other patients do not go through the same thing.

He really is amazing….very knowledgeable and great bedside manner! The entire staff seemed like one big happy family!! You can tell they have great relationships!!! Fantastic experience: I really love this dentist. The office is super clean and modern, and the waiting area is so cozy and stylish. Everyone there is incredibly nice and always makes me feel like they know me personally. The care has been amazing, and I’ve noticed they use what seems like really up-to-date technology. I live abroad now, but I still book my appointments here when I’m visiting my parents. Even after they moved across town, I keep coming back because I always feel valued and know I’m in good hands.

His staff is so friendly and I really loved taking to Megan while getting all my paperwork in order. Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Major Smiles as a patient, and I have to say from first "welcome, how are you today?" to the final "nice to meet you and tell your wife hello for me!", it was a wonderful experience!!! Was greeted by Megan, who was very friendly, (not sure how Dr. Major could do it without her!), and made me feel at home! Then I got to meet my hygienist, Mandy, who was also very nice, and thorough as she explained every step as we went through x-rays, to the digital pictures and then onto the recommended individual treatment plan that she believed would be best for me! Then I was introduced to Dr. Major, who was very personable, and easy to talk to, he explained his recommended treatment plan after his exam and review of my x-rays, asked me if I had any questions and assured me that he and his team would get me on the right track! Professionalism with a genuine care for his patients and it's obvious by the atmosphere at Major Smiles, he takes great care of his staff also, smiles all around!!! The exam rooms are open, bright and comfortable with large windows that overlook the green areas outside.
