Fantastic experience: The environment is clean and accommodating. The staff is the best part. Everyone is eager to please and the best smile possible seems to be the overall goal. Good and positive experience here especially today. I adore the staff so much. I even got to learn a couple of Spanish words because the staff is bilingual. This was a great dental experience!

Negative experience: I had previously gone to Creative Smiles where the doctor did all but fix my teeth. I had a crown that broke off eight times in one year and ended up cracking the tooth beside it when it fell off while eating one day. I was always told it was the cement or something I was doing wrong. She even placed the crown on backwards once, causing me horrendous pain, and said I was incorrect although I had pictures (and a brain) proving it was on backwards. Long story short, I was scared to eat for years and was even having nightmares of the tooth falling off. I paid for everything out of pocket as I didn't have insurance... I'm talking thousands of dollars. The crown, the tooth the crown broke and needed to be filled, the reapplied cement multiple times... it was absolutely ridiculous. We reached a point in which she told me they couldn't do anything more than pull it. They basically through up their hands and I was on my own. A couple of months later I got insurance and saw Perry Family Dentistry took it so I scheduled an appointment and feared for the worst. They got me in quickly, took exams and fit me for a new crown. The crown took maybe a week to come in and it was placed. Guess what? It's been over 1.5 years and I have had no issue with the crown at all. It is perfect and has benefited my life so much! I feel comfortable eating again and am so grateful for finding a dentist that cares and doesn't dismiss my concerns. My daughter also had work done here that another dentist is correcting. The root canal they did was botched and ended up messing up her two front teeth and causing her extreme pain. I liked the doctor's bedside manner so that made this review harder to make than others. I'm not sure where the disconnect was with my crown but it did cost a small fortune to fix and many needless headaches.

Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience at Creative Smiles. Dr. Finney and her staff are always very polite and helpful. When I took my husband’s grandmother several years ago they were very patient with her and took the time she needed to help her understand what needed to be done.

Fantastic experience: I have been getting all my dental services (annual cleaning, crowns, fillings, etc.) performed by Creative Smile's staff for over 10 years. I love that they are a woman owned and female staffed.

Fantastic experience: Front desk lady was nice and helped with everything I needed. The office uses modern tech like 3d mouth mapping and ai to better identify dental issues and provide diagnoses. Dr. Emily is very well versed and knowledgeable in the dental field and explained everything well. The treatment plans and pricing is transparent so you know what you’re paying for. Overall if they accept your insurance (they take mine) I would recommend them.

Negative experience: Go somewhere else, mabye Davis Dentristy down the street. This review is based on 17 dollars, 5 min and the Principle of it. I recently got my teeth cleaned and immediately afterward my crown fell off. I went back the next day to get it fixed, I was told it was a coincidence and that they had nothing to do with it. They then charged me 60 dollars and didn't even check my bite to see if it was positioned right. Some how I had a credit on my account and the grand total was 17 dollars. After spending 650 out of pocket and over 1000 in insurance I would expect a little treatment like im a customer that spends with a business. They can keep their 17 dollars and I'll spend my money with someone who cares about their customers and their business.

Fantastic experience: I was really anxious for my appointment but everyone was super sweet and understanding. Before doing anything, they would take a moment to explain what they were about to do and what it would feel like so I knew what to expect, which I really appreciated. Pricing wasn’t so bad either. I will definitely be coming back!

Positive experience: I had a good experience. However I think the oral cancer screening should be included with the cleaning because it's just a light shining in and around the inside of your mouth and it cost 35 dollars.

Fantastic experience: I really love this place! Dr. Finney is so sweet and helpful. Rebecca did my fillings and made a scary experience really easy. I had some issues adjusting to my fillings and they saw me a couple of extra times to make sure everything was good. Dr. Finney also gave me a great solution for my random tooth pain/sensitivity I had on and off for a long time. Other dentists said it was probably because of my misaligned teeth and that I needed braces, this dentist figured I had a grinding issue and recommended a mouth guard. I don’t have any pain anymore and it was a much cheaper solution. Another thing is that this place doesn’t try to get you to pay for unnecessary things which is great. The hygienist is awesome too, and so are all the assistants and front desk ladies.

Everything went smoothly and I was able to make my appointment the next day. The receptionist was kind and tender. Being greeted before your appointment and afterwards makes your day a little smoother for dental procedures. Dr Finney made sure to let her know if I was uncomfortable at any time during my procedure. Once again, another great experience.

Fantastic experience: I love Creative Smiles Dental Center. The crew is so nice- from checking in, seeing my great hygienist, and sweet Dr Finney. The waiting room is comfortable and has beautiful chandeliers that makes you feel at home. All the dental equipment seem to be the latest technology. They also have a great system going with their headphones to keep each other up to date on the comings and goings of the patients. Very friendly establishment!

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with this office. They made me feel insecure about my teeth. Just down right mean. Unthoughtful, rude, and made me cry about myself after I left. I have never felt that way after leaving a medical provider. They hurt my feelings to my core. I knew and asked for a filling to be replaced but they said I needed a crown. Insurance denied the crown because only a filling was needed. I know the office is going to say Dr Finney holds herself to high standard and my insurance is just wrong.But it could also be she goes for the most expensive option. I’ve never seen a dentist office take as many X-rays as they do. I think we get charged for each one of them. I received that crown the end of February. I have since had that crown replaced, it now April 10th. The side of the crown did not go all the way up to the gum line and had a huge gap where food was getting stuck. I could not force myself to go back to get it fixed because of the way they made me feel about myself. I am glad to see that they have good reviews. I think I just wasn’t a good candidate for them.

Negative experience: Competent dentistry—if you can stomach the greed. I was laid off last year and had to stop payments on a $238 bill from CS. Now that I’m employed again and have dental insurance, I wanted to come back in for routine care and a new night guard. I had forgotten about the balance, which had gone to collections. Fair enough—I was ready to pay what I owed before being seen. However, somewhere along the line, a mysterious $71 charge was added. I wasn’t refusing to pay it because I couldn’t—I refused out of principle. I contacted CS, who told me, “That’s a charge from the debt collector; we don’t add that.” I called the debt collector, who said, “That’s a charge from the client.” After going back and forth, the debt collector finally said I could settle for a “discounted” amount of $263. Fine—I agreed, I'll just call it interest, whatever. I gave them my card, got a confirmation number and a text. Then I called CS to confirm, and they said they’d have to call the debt collector to verify. Shortly after, they turned around and denied me service—because I “didn’t pay the full balance.” Even though I had settled with the debt collector. I’m done with this company. I was prepared to return as a paying customer with dental insurance and give them hundreds of dollars in business. Instead, they chose to nickel-and-dime me and treat me like some kind of criminal. If they’re this greedy over a few bucks, I have to wonder—how much have they been overcharging me all along?

Negative experience: Sad to say that this dentist office is not nearly as great as it used to be. Not sure what's going on with the staff, but I've had subpar experiences on my last two visits for cleanings and two of my family members have now had bad experiences as well. I felt horrible since I recommended they go to Creative Smiles, and it ended up going so poorly for both of them. For my own experiences - last two visits I felt very rushed in-and-out. I had a concern which they only half addressed the first time, and then they said "oh, well just ask us on your next visit and we will look at it again". Hmm okay. No big deal I guess. On my next visit I ended up having a student from the local university doing most of my work. They let me know ahead of time that they were partnering with the school and that she would have "oversight" during my cleaning. Well, this was honestly a horrible experience...the student was sort of rude and she couldn't get my X-rays done right. They ended up doing my X-rays 3-4 times over and scraping up my mouth with the plastic insert. It was pretty upsetting. Whoever was supposed to be looking over her was not in the room like they should have been. I was ready to get out of there and didn't bother following up on my prior concern. Lastly, I ended up getting one cavity filling done with this clinic. I've had several fillings before at my dentist in Dallas, TX with zero issues. But this time was.. well... different. It felt like they couldn't get me numb enough. They kept apologizing and gave more anesthetic, etc but it still did not feel great. It was the only dental work I've ever had done that actually hurt. I sucked it up of course, but that filling hurt for probably 3 months afterwards....just did not seem normal. Now for my family members who I referred... one was my spouse who has SEVERE dental anxiety. I was really hopeful they would take great care of him at Creative Smiles. I let them know numerous times about his anxiety. Well guess what... they had a student working on him too when he got there. He had the same painful xray experience that I did. He was upset and almost gave up on getting anything done with his teeth. We ended up not getting his work done at Creative Smiles, but instead across town at another office who specifically cater to patients with anxiety. Lastly, I had referred my sibling to their office. He called the office on his way up there explaining he took a wrong turn by accident and would be 10 minutes late. They said no problem at all. Well, when he got there, they denied him service and cancelled his appointment!! Like really, for being 10 minutes late. And he called and they said it would be okay. That's just not right! I'm not one to leave reviews like this, but after all these different occurrences I myself have decided to cut ties and go to the office across town that my spouse now sees (and loves!). Hope this clinic can take the constructive criticism and maybe improve things for their other patients!

Fantastic experience: If you have dental anxiety, book your appointment here! Never thought I’d love a dentist, but Dr Finney and her team are INCREDIBLE! I hadn’t been taking great care of my teeth and chipped one pretty badly, prompting me to HAVE TO come to a dentist from the pain. Ended up needing a root canal and when I tell you it was the most fun I have ever had at a doctors appointment, I am not kidding. They had me cracking up the entire time (well, when they weren’t drilling lol) and made me feel like I was a part of their morning conversation. It really felt like they wanted me there. Came back to get my permanent crown (that did not take that long) and they had me in and out in twenty minutes. They have also been flexible with my payments, prioritizing patient needs. All in all, I give these people an eleven out of ten. I honestly can’t wait to go back for my cleaning. Thank you, Creative Smiles!!!

Fantastic experience: Hey glad to respond. I needed to get a crown glued back on and i was able to come right in. I called there office at 10 till 9:00am. I was there by 9:30 and out with my crown installed by 10:20. Very pleased and insurance covered.

Fantastic experience: This office and the folks who are staffing this office are not just awesome but amazing as well. Out of 10 stars I give them a minimum of 15. I was treated with courtesy, respect and they listened when I explained my problem and things were taken care of immediately.

Negative experience: Staff was nice enough, but I only just had a 2 year root canal nightmare dealt with by another endodontist. I thought it went well, but the pain persisted on and off. Despite reporting pain for a couple visits afterwards, I was more or less brushed off and told I was just grinding my teeth at night or something. Eventually they referred me off where I learned they missed a canal and it would need redone. Here I am out of pocket for a second root canal now getting it done right. Overall, not pleased.

Negative experience: I went here at the beginning of the month for tooth pain. The staff was nice, but I felt like I was treated like a dollar sign. They didn't offer tooth cleaning like I've been accustomed to in the past from other doctors. The lady doctor looked at my non-cleaned teeth and told me I had peridontal disease and needed a $1700 cleaning. That was the biggest red flag. I went to another dentist in town after the fact and my experience was amazing. The hygienist cleaned my teeth and it was just a lot of plaque buildup. They also gave me a toothbrush and samples of good toothpaste. Creative Smiles did not do this. Something feels scammy about this place. I will not go back or recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: This was my first visit here and will definitely be my last. I am in terrible pain. I was charged $100 for an x-ray and for the dentist to tell me she can't pull my tooth but she can give me a prescription to kill infection. She didn't even try to numb it... She just watched me cry in pain and said she knows they can't numb it... One girl in particular who was "discharging" me was very rude. She talked down to me and smarted off when I inquired about the charge. A very terrible experience for someone who is in a lot of pain! Charged me $100 to take an x-ray. UPDATE: I went to Aspen Dental and was only charged $20 for x-ray, assessment and a payment plan for my extraction!!! Don't go to Creative Smile if you're having tooth pain!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Finney, DMD is a very thorough & caring Dentist. She's comforting and is easy to understand when explaining the dental procedures or treatment plan. Her staff and office environment places one at ease from the onset as well as during actual planned treatment.

Negative experience: I definitely feel like I was scammed . It definitely feels like they're trying to get your insurance money in hopes that you won't come back for the rest of the care . Before you choose this dental office as your main dentist, you should understand some of their rules in having work done on your teeth. They do not pull any teeth and only have a surgeon come once every other month and that surgeon requires you to have somebody in the building that can receive your medical information and stay with you during the extraction. You have to pay for anesthesia that your insurance will not cover. They also will not provide you this information before your first appointment so that you are stuck with this dental office or you have to get a referral which you will have to pay out of pocket for everything that your insurance just paid Creative Smiles dDntal Care for. Definitely would recommend a different dentist office. I have no choice. I'm now stuck here. I will not be bringing my children and we will not be returning. And if that's their policy then they should tell you up front, before your first appointment, before they've billed your insurance.

Negative experience: I have been seeking a new dentist since mine retired. I cannot afford health insurance so I have to pay out of pocket. I came here by referral and all I wanted was a basic cleaning.. as a new patient they required me to take X-rays, so I’m already out of pocket for $150 plus… afterwards they scheduled me for a cleaning and when I arrived for it they wanted $1850 for the cleaning.. I was aghast! I told them that my last dentist only charged me $99 for my cleanings and the staff proceeded to tell me that it was inflation. They also knew I had a minor infection in my gum line and they told me it would get worse if I didn’t receive my cleaning now.. i left because I didn’t have $1850 to begin the cleaning procedure.. I found out later that creative smiles could have offered me one of their less expensive cleanings but they neglected to tell me that during my office visit. I feel I could argue a malpractice complaint because creative smiles knew I had an infection but neglected to offer me the less expensive services.. they appeared to be only motivated to sell me the highest price cleaning and not caring about my dental health whatsoever. Places like this deserve a 0 star rating when you put money in front of patient care… more and more practices are capitalizing on the woes of others… very bad habit to start. To sum up this review, I found me a private practice dentist whom I feel has a personal caring manner when I have dental health issues.

Fantastic experience: I needed some images for an oral surgery. I made an appointment and was in and out fast. They did not try to pressure me to get a cleaning, whitening, or some other service while I was there, and I appreciate that. They were very fast, efficient, friendly, and polite. I will go to Creative Smiles for all my dental care needs in the future.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient here for several years. Dental Hygienist Quin is so good at what she does and addresses all of my concerns. Dr Emily Finley, the dentist, is knowledgeable and attentive. She is patient with all my concerns, does excellent work, and refers to specialists when appropriate. Fantastic experience: I am so happy I stumbled on Creative Smiles. Everyone was pleasant and professional. They were ready for me when I arrived. The office was clean and they used state of the art equipment for my care. My appt was at 2:00pm and I was in my car heading home at 2:24pm. I intend to return to continue my dental care.

Negative experience: Leann and Summer are the best they are very friendly and helpful..but the dentures are horrible. I paid a lot of money and the whole time was telling them what I wanted and how I wanted them because I already had dentures and was needing a permanent pair. I cannot even wear them. I cannot eat with them. The teeth are to big for my mouth I cannot chew because they don't go all the way down. The teeth themselves are huge and it makes me look like I'm all teeth. Before I got the pair I explained they were to big in every aspect. They are just bad. I spent that money to just throw away I guess. I e told them how bad they are ,but nothing can be done. I now have to get another set so it was just waisted money.

Negative experience: Went there roughly 2 years ago and got some filings done. 2 out of the 3 they did have completely cracked off. One of them cracked 3 months after I got it. I went to a better dentist and they were amazed on how poorly the etching was done. Please do not get anything done here unless it is a cleaning.

Negative experience: Dr. Emily Finney does not take care of VETERANS! After nearly 6 years of being under her care; she disregarded my tooth having an infection from a root canal. Contacted her about tooth and lip being numb 7 months after root canal work done by her; and her response” its NORMAL” contacted her last week about infection and lip still being numb and she hung up on me ( very uncaring and unprofessional) . Is this how you treat a patient/client of six years. I DO NOT RECOMMEND her as a dentist especially not to any military veterans. Does not take responsibility for any wrongdoing on her part. Totally neglected and disregarded my numbed lip, mouth pain, and infection. Didn’t care to prescribe an antibiotic for infection just referred me to an endodontist who I cannot see until next year (2024) in the meantime infection goes untreated. Should not be serving the public!!!

Fantastic experience: I have had negative dental experiences in the past, which justified delaying my recent long overdue visits. I was apprehensive, but this office is incredible. Very well organized, friendly, and knowledgeable. One of my biggest issues with dental care has been feeling like I don't really know what's happening or what I'm supposed to do. This staff ensured that all my questions were answered, and then some. All instructions were clear, and every staff member I worked with verified multiple times that I had no further questions, and gave me time to think everything through. 10/10, would recommend. I'm genuinely looking forward to my upcoming appointment.

Fantastic experience: I really like my Dentist at creative smiles, she has really helped with my anxiety with Dental work. And they are always nice and polite when I go in there.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been going to Creative Smiles for over 10 yrs and always have the best experience! Whether it’s stopping in for a school form to be filled out or a cleaning by Brittany. Very friendly and sweet team to interact with! Dr. Gade and Amy have been amazing with my son during his fillings. Never once did they give up or lose their patience. They walk him through everything before doing it.

Fantastic experience: I felt very comfortable during my first visit to Creative Smiles because it was very similar to what I had experienced before. Shelby did a good job for me in a quick and efficient way.

Negative experience: Called an scheduled appointment concerning crown coming from another dentist. Needed help with it. Was also needing another dentist. Explained the reasons why, with details. The office gave me an appointment, and said, we can handle that issue, please come in we can handle that. So, I came to the appointment, signed all the paperwork, went back, performed a large array of X-rays, exams, etc. Later the dentist appeared. She began telling me that she could "not" touch the crown or do anything at all! She told me, "I refuse to do anything, you'll have to go back to the dentist, you're trying to get away from." I asked why? You took all these X-rays $, Why tell me this now at this stage? Why not up front to begin with? The Insurance? Later, I went back to the other dentist. and, I found out, that, "She had been communicating by phone with the other dentist!" DON'T TRUST THIS OFFICE! Not professional. They deal cards under the table. Their double crossers, and I've contacted the Insurance company about all these X-rays, and the potential billings. This insurance has informed me what to do when the EOB comes across. They weren't happy about this either. Not Kosher. I also did talk to my pervious dentist office about the phone call. Very Tacky to say the least. I tried to discuss the situation with her, but she, the dentist, refused, and said, abruptly, "This discussion is over, and walked away."

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit and I am very glad I chose Creative Smiles. They were very professional and yet made me feel comfortable and cared for.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Finney is my favorite dentist. I drove all the way from Nashville to Murphysboro to go to the Creative Smiles dental office. I feel very at ease there. The whole team is great and I know I’m getting top-of-the-line care.
