Fantastic experience: Dr. Cain and his associates are amazing! I have had several visits and Dr. Cain has done an amazing job from start to finish. I have never had a bad experience. I just wish his wife was still working with him. Mrs. Cain was a great asset to their office. I could get everything done between the two of them If you are looking for an experienced, compassionate Dr, with knowledge this is Dr. Cain and his staff. You will not be disappointed!

For people who have elevated pain and anxiety about dentistry, this should be the place to pick. Also, the level of education and experience is unmatched. They really know what they are talking about and know what they are doing.

Fantastic experience: After 5 days of pain, terrible experience of corporate medical office, finally i found what patient needs: professional care, very knowledgeable and experienced doctor, hygienist and very pleasant staff, as well as really clean and beautiful office which "comes you down", despite pain, which btw gone completely before the end of appointment. 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: I have an anxiety disorder, so dentist appointments can be difficult for me. This office is absolutely lovely. Every member of the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I hadn’t been to the dentist in years, and nobody was judgmental or lectured me on what I should be doing. You can really tell they all care about their patients. The office is decorated to look like a spa instead of a dentist office which is so helpful if you’re nervous or anxious about the dentist. Whether you need general cleaning or extensive periodontal work, I would highly recommend coming here. The anxiety I was holding because I had let my dental care get away from me is now completely gone and I look forward to my next visit!

Fantastic experience: I had a gum graft to stabilize my teeth. The procedure took approximately an hour and a half. I went directly to work afterward and worked the following day. I received local anesthesia and because the entire left lower side of my gum line was being pulled away from my teeth, I received significant injections of numbing agent. However, something was applied to my gums prior to the injections and the injections were virtually painless. I felt no pain or discomfort during the procedure. I was given prescription strength ibuprofen and ice packs after the procedure. I followed instructions and honestly, I never felt any pain during or following the procedure. I was advised that I would probably swell and bruise, which I did in the hours following. The bruising was significant but amazingly I never felt pain or even discomfort. I took the antibiotic and ibuprofen as prescribed, iced regularly and the bruising resolved in about 4 days. My gums look healthy and I feel great. I cannot be more pleased with my experience.

They called when earlier appointments became available, they took me on time, they already had my xrays from my other dentist on the screen in the exam room and I had a wonderful clinical experience. The office its self is very clean, well decorated and cozy! They have set a very welcoming atmosphere with both the ppl and surroundings. I did not feel rushed through my consult. Dr Cain was knowledgeable, patient with questions and didn’t make me feel pressured to make any decisions that day, about treatment. We discussed my options and what made me feel most comfortable. I appreciated having a discussion with a professional who didn’t immediately jump to the worst case scenario and most expensive or complex treatment. We discussed my unique situation, possible outcomes, and treatment options. And we agreed on how to proceed from there.

I have had too many in the dental profession speak to me in dental terms that I do not understand. I did not feel like just another patient who was rushed in and out. Thank you.

Positive experience: They were incredibly friendly. They were very personable with the patients. They even had a little gift bag at the end. The only reason for the 4 star is that I was called and offered an earlier spot due to a last minute cancellation. Though I accepted, I was left waiting well after my original appointment time had past. So essentially, I lost more work time without the benefit of being seen earlier.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place. I have always had a fear of dentists, these guys are absolutely the most patient and caring office if have ever been to. After years of dental neglect, I finally started caring for my teeth and gums and felt no shame at all from the team - just support. When I voiced my opinion on treatment such as delaying grafting or reducing cleanings (for insurance reasons), my voice was heard and respected - no bullying from the staff. I also appreciate them taking the time to explain everything and answer my questions regarding treatment decisions. After 2-3 years of consistent maintenance and treatment my gums have never looked or felt better. I think the staff is excited about the improvement as I am. I highly recommend, even for your regular cleanings.

Negative experience: I paid the procedure in full when I did it and they never clarified that each follow-up appointment is not included in the overall billing. They were not clear with me about this. I cancelled all my follow-ups since the overall cost should have covered it as the follow-ups were never disclosed to me that I would get charged

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cain was wonderful to meet with for a consultation and now scheduled resolution. He was thorough with explaining my options and did not try and push any additional services on me which I’ve been used to in the past with other dental practices. He’s authentic and gives you straight forward options.

Fantastic experience: The staff was incredible!!! When I arrived, the receptionist let me know Dr. Cain was running behind. My husband and I started saying tongue twisters to kill time, and others joined in on the fun and laughter. The receptionist not only joined in, she even printed out some tongue twisters to try. Beautiful and clean office, friendly staff, nice doctor, what more can you ask for?

Fantastic experience: I was a little nervous about the appoinment but Dr Cain explained why and what I needed done to keep from loosing 2 of my teeth and I felt better afterwards that he didn't want to do more than I needed. The appointment for the procedure wasn't a long wait, I was able to get it done soon.

Fantastic experience: Always have a good experience with my cleaning visits at East TN Peridontacts. Since my periodontal surgery with Dr. Cain a number of years ago he has helped me establish a personal hygiene regimen linked with more frequent cleaning visits. This has helped me reduce my "numbers" substantially and I have no gum issues now. The staff are always friendly and caring.

Positive experience: The information I got from the hygienist regarding X-rays was different from what I was told upon checking out. The hygienist said cost was covered by Medicare. Apparently not!If I had known this I would have not had the X-ray and would have had it done at my primary care dentist. I feel as though I was deceived.

Negative experience: Beautiful office, great staff. But everything I hate about dental offices today. The amount they were trying to charge for a procedure was ridiculous. Even the fact that dental places have finance offices is disappointing. Will not go back at all. But super nice staff.
