Fantastic experience: Everyone I encountered at this office was so courteous. The two that stand out are Sara and Dr. Laporte because they are the ones I was with the most. Both of these ladies had wonderful bedside manor and were so patient with my many questions about the procedure and my daily medication. Fantastic experience: THIS IS THE REVIEW YOU ARE LOOKING FOR: Undergoing double jaw surgery is not something anyone takes lightly, and after a lifetime of orthodontic work, consultations, and uncertainty, choosing the right surgeon meant everything to me. Dr. Kelsey Laporte was truly the best decision I could have made. I had a 6-hour double jaw surgery, a procedure that completely changed my face and my life. Going into it, I was anxious, emotional, and unsure of what I would look like afterward. Dr. Kelsey Laporte and the staff at Tennessee Valley Oral Surgery took the time to explain every step of the process, answered all of my questions, and made me feel calm and confident when I needed it most. That level of reassurance is priceless. The recovery was one of the most mentally and physically challenging experiences of my life, but knowing I was in such capable hands made all the difference. Because of Dr. Kelsey’s skill, care, and attention to detail, my healing process went incredibly well, and the results have exceeded my expectations. Negative experience: My experience with TNVOS has been much different then the other folks and their reviews. My experience is based on the last 3 weeks after my oral surgery. I contacted the office for an emergency visit and they were very accommodating to take me in, I am very gratefulfor that. I had an impacted wisdom tooth that was also in my sinus cavity and I was suffering pain and headaches. The front office ladies, nurses and Dr. Eisenberg were nice and respectful. I got x-rays and when meeting with Dr. Eisenberg, she was quick to say she was only a surgeon and could not tell me anything about my impacted tooth on whether it was infected. She could only remove it and send me on my way. I understood her stance but as a dental surgeon you should know what an infected tooth looks like, but that is solely my opinion. Being desperate, I decided to move forward and pay $2295.00 o.o.p. to be put under and have the tooth pulled and close the sinus cavity. Surgery was done, tooth removed and I went home and followed the regimen provided. A week in, my face swelled to the size of a softball and I could not open my jaw. I went back to the office that same week and was told I just needed to continue the regimen and ice and hot compress my face, nothing was checked in my mouth. All despite saying I was having puss and a sulfer smell and taste coming from the wound. I waited a whole week before going back in because there was still puss and swelling. Upon discussion, I had to be put back under to have them drain the infection and do a biopsy since the antibiotics did not work. As I write this review at week 3, I still have lockjaw and minimal swelling. This affects so many areas of my life like work and home that it has been a terrible inconvenience. I have heard nothing on a follow up about the biopsy or a simple check in. I am giving 2 stars because of my experience. The slogan of the business is "where you are treated like family." But I did not feel that, it was very impersonal. I felt I had to push and complain to be seen again because I knew something wasn't right. On my 3rd visit, the nurse I had Ciara was Amazing!! She had great chairside manner. She deserves 5 stars. My hope is that my lockjaw will resolve in the next week or two, if not I will have to go back again........!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely, hands down one of the best oral surgery places around. They really take care of you like family, that jingle is no joke. I was nervous as heck about everything from the cost to the actual procedure. They fully explained everything I was being charged for and helped me be less nervous. This is a wonderful facility where it seems the entire staff cares. I had one blonde girl working with me and she was so sweet and caring. I don’t catch her name but she was great. Definitely one of the best if not the best oral surgery place around.

Fantastic experience: Excellent!! From the initial consultation through the extraction of two upper wisdom teeth and the post-op, I am extremely pleased with the care Dr LaPorte and her staff provided! I was referred to them by a friend and I could not be more pleased. Tennessee Valley Oral Surgery is first class in all they do!

Positive experience: I had twenty teeth extracted this morning. I I am on cloud 9 literally! Cows have three heads, must be the meds. Mouth is sore, but teeth are straight and in my mouth forming at this time. I think a day will make a big differenc e in swelling going down. Is Trump still President? Damn I thought so, but I could use some of that ICE he's sending to Maine!

Fantastic experience: I was in last month for oral surgery and I can’t thank Dr. Eisenberg and Mak enough for their kindness!! I almost cancelled my appt because of how anxious I was but I was in so much pain and needed these bad teeth out. Mak did not make me feel like I was being rushed or “just another patient” she listened to my concerns about being put to sleep and helped ease my worries. When I met Dr. Eisenberg she made me feel the same way! She answered all of my questions and my surgery was quick and painless! I had zero complications after! If you need any oral surgery done then this is your place to go!!

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to get on here and share something positive! my husband had oral surgery done here by Dr. Eisenberg last month. He has a huge fear of dentists but her and her assistant Mak are so amazing and kind! Mak walked us through how the consult would go, the surgery etc. He was nervous about being put to sleep but they took those worries away! He had an amazing recovery with no complications. I highly recommend coming here to see them both because they are both so great!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. LaPorte is a highly skilled Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). I had a Dental referral on Monday and an appointment with the Tennessee Valley Oral Surgery, Tuesday. I needed a molar pulled. It took her no longer than 10 minutes. Her staff was very polite and professional. They thoroughly explained the surgical process and were even able to confirm with my insurance what they would cover and what my personal cost would be. My same day recover is going well and just as I was told. I highly recommend Dr. LaPorte and the Tennessee Valley Oral Surgery PLLC. They are excellant.

Negative experience: My wife had a single tooth extraction with an appointment of 10:30 am. Through no fault of TN Valley, there was an error on the paperwork from the dentist office that took time to sort out. My wife suffers from White Coat Syndrome so, the longer things took to start the longer her anxiety had time to worsen. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to this. After her procedure, I was given the post operation directions to include picking up a painkiller for her from the pharmacy that she listed. I was told that it was being called in shortly so, should be ready for pick up soon. There was a card in the bag provided to me that should of listed what the prescription was but, it was blank. Being more concerned with my wife, I thought nothing of it. We live half an hour away from TN Valley and that generally gives time for the order to reach the pharmacy. When I arrived, they said I had no order. Maybe give it more time? Okay. No problem. I took my wife home and got her settled, which took about an hour. I went back to the pharmacy, still no order. I call the office and was told I was being forwarded to "lead". The "lead" turned out to be voicemail box and I left a message. My original call was at 3:20 pm. I called back and asked to speak to someone else but was told that said "lead" would call me right back. No return call by 4:30. I call again and was welcomed by a message saying that their offices were closed for the holidays, even though today is Friday the 21st and Thanksgiving is not until next Thursday. Also, it states online that the office does not close until 5 pm. In closing, the in office staff that handles the procedures seem to be professional. The office that handles administrative problems did not treat my family like their family. Riddled with disappointment and disgust thst I spoke to someone of my concern that my wife's anesthesia would wear off before receiving her prescription and they could care less. They went home to their family and left me alone to tend with mine that will be suffering when she wakes up.

Positive experience: Very nice staff all very friendly, informative and professional. I dont remember the doctors name, however, she too was very professional and friendly. Not only did she explain what I needed, she also made me feel comfortable and easy for me to ask questions. ~M. Tracy

Negative experience: It was going good until we had issues with the insurance. When I made the appointment, I told them it was an emergency. I told him what kind of insurance she had when we got there. I gave her her member ID normally when you set up an appointment with any kind of doctor or dentist or any of that they check the insurance when you make the appointment I contacted the insurance before I made the appointment. That’s how I got You guys’s number. When I made the appointment, it was supposed to be scheduled for Lenoir city the person that made the appointment gave me the address of where to go. I’d go to that facility and they proceed to tell me no it’s not here. It’s in Knoxville so we hurry up and get to Knoxville we get there. We start filling out the papers they come out and they’re hurrying us up through the paperwork because they wanted to get her back very quickly and there he told me that they were having problems verifying the insurance. I told them I already called the insurance and I even sent them in the email the phone number to the insurance because when they want me to email the member ID I accidentally sent them the phone number to the insurance and I even told them I’m like oh I’m sorry I sent you the phone number to the insurance insurance so they could’ve even called the insurance company to verify so they started the appointment without verifying the insurance. Then towards the end of the appointment it was time to pay and they said we could not verify the insurance they’re saying that she is not active. I said I called them Friday and confirmed that she is active. That is how I got your guys’s number. So I proceeded to call them and I had them on speaker they verified she has insurance and they were saying that the only way they cover out of state insurance is if it’s an emergency and I told her I was sent an email saying they also said that something about a PPO doctors and she said yes those are the in network dentist that we approve also. And she was saying that the appointment was gonna be approved. If it was an emergency. I said it is an emergency because she was in the emergency room and when I made the appointment, I told them it’s an emergency her face was swollen. She was in excruciating pain, and even these dentists said she has to have his teeth pulled immediately when is decayed very badly. And then it was either the insurance associate verification lady or the assistant I don’t know. I can’t remember who it was but she said oh we don’t do that. That’s not an emergency. She’s not swollen or anything like that I said well she’s been on ibuprofen 800 since she left the hospital and she’s been on antibiotics so obviously she’s not gonna be as she was on Friday but it’s still an emergency because she’s gonna run out of the antibiotics. This was just a hold her over until this appointment because you guys couldn’t get her in until today so now we have to wait for a preapproval from the insurance for her to get surgery and they did not cover the consultation because her insurance you need a preapproval because they wouldn’t say it was an emergency when I made the appointment. I said it was an emergency I told them she was in an emergency room and I also sent the referral from her dentist proving what teeth have to be pulled and what’s going on with her. So because they didn’t do what they were supposed to do before they started working on her we had to pay out-of-pocket and we were not prepared for that so we had to call family member to borrow the money and you know how that goes when you have to ask family members for money they kept us there so long that I was not able to do what I had planned view I was supposed to go Uber to make money. Also there’s other things that I do to make money legal things because I had to get back for my children to get out of school and also by the end of them keeping us there for so long in the headache that this place has caused I need to go home and take a migraine medicine and I was just over it. I just wanted to go home and my niece has a disability.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jones was amazing with my husband. He has a plate in his face and was extremely nervous about having 3 teeth cut out because it’s on his facia plate hardware. My husband is afraid of needles and he has done nothing but praised how great he was at putting his IV in with no problem. My husband checked his voicemail at almost 9pm and seen that he had even called to check on my husband and make sure he was doing ok.

Fantastic experience: I’d like to thank the whole staff for how I was treated I was informed of everything from the time I walked thru the front door. It all went as I was told and the process was so easy and went great. Dr.Hager did a great job as well as his assistant. I felt no pain and she walked me thru what she would be doing as well as Dr.Hager and it went exactly as the both said. I rate overall experience a 5 star visit.

The staff isn’t snobby compared to others in the dental industry. Dr Laporte is always professional but she’s super down to earth and patient.

I don’t ever remember seeing an oral surgeon as caring, easy, informative or thorough as Tennessee Valley Oral Surgery. My stitches have already come out and I have no pain. Fantastic experience: First, let me begin by saying if you ever need any type of oral surgery Dr. Kelsey Laporte is your girl! My daughter has been a patient for three years. Our story is a lengthy one. My daughter has been under the care of an orthodontist and dentist since she was three. We have had wonderful professionals but none compare to Dr. Laporte and her staff. She is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, honest and treated my child, like she was her child. Dr. Laporte was by my side before and after the surgery. She answered my questions, dried my tears and responded to every call and text. We could not be happier with the outcome. She has given my daughter a pain free world with excessive confidence! Her staff is as top notch as she is! It is the most efficient, clean, well managed office! Their slogan is …. Where we treat you like family, that’s exactly what they did…. Treated us like family!

Negative experience: My son was brought out to my car after having his wisdom teeth removed not able to follow instructions and hallucinating. The attendant tried multiple times to try to stand him up to get him in my car, even though he was minimally responsive. I had to insist that he was taken back inside because something was not right. Once inside,the attendant made several attempts to move him from the wheelchair to the dental chair even though he still was not aware of anything going on and could not hold up his head. Again, I had to tell her to stop. I was very concerned about my child’s safety. The doctor has to come into the room and give him two “reversal” injections. It took at least 20 more minutes before he was able to sit up and follow instructions and 5-10 more minutes for him to be alert enough to stand up and walk with assistance.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Read is tha absolute BEST oral surgeon out there. He did an amazing job with my daughter on Friday 6/20/2025! His assistant Haley D. Took the absolute best care of my baby for such a drastic surgery at such a young age. My daughter felt secure and comfortable with Haley. Brooke W. made sure we had everything we needed before, during and after the big day. My daughter was checked on by Dr. Read personally, Brooke personally checked on her as well. It was a tough surgery and they made everything as comfortable as possible. I am beyond grateful for everyone involved with taking care of my baby. Thank you so much. You all are truly appreciated

Fantastic experience: TN Valley Oral Surgery was amazing! I have an extreme fear of dentist due to bad past experiences but I think this establishment might have helped me undo that fear. Their entire staff was a delight and they made me laugh and have a great time. I wasn’t expecting to be able to smile at all past the tears but they helped me to feel so comfortable and happy to trust them. I read something that said being in that chair while having dentistry work done on you, it requires submission. And I’ve always had a hard time trusting people, but this place is so special because everyone was kind. The biggest part of all of this is that they fit me in! I didn’t have an appointment scheduled but had to have an emergency tooth extraction and not one of them ever treated me like “let’s fit her in to our busy schedule”. They treated me as though I was important and they truly cared about me. They were so amazing in every way and if I ever need anything else done I will absolutely be going here!!

Fantastic experience: From the time I called and explained I had a tooth break at the gum line and knew it would require surgery, the lady on the phone made me feel so comfortable about it all and explained a lot to me. The day of my visit, the nurses were very helpful and they went overboard to make me feel comfortable. The lady Dentist (I can’t remember her name) but she explained everything that would happen and we decided to take another tooth out that was about to break at the gum line as well. I was put to sleep by IV and it was literally the least painful IV that I’ve ever had!! She was amazing! I woke up to them making sure I was still comfortable and it’s been about 3 weeks now and I’m healing great! I would and do definitely recommend if you need any kinda dental work and want it done right and with tons of care…..GO HERE!! 10 STARS ⭐️ FOR SURE! Thank you so much ladies for making such a scary experience, so extra comforting and I will be using you guys for any of my future dental work needed. ⭐️

Fantastic experience: 3/25/25 I saw Dr. LaPorte (in Knoxville/Farragut area near Costco) and she was a 10+ She's an MD and DDS, very kind, empathetic, gentle, and they have a beautiful clean office. They got me in quickly (after my Dentist sent a referral a day prior), and have great communication w/ texts.The front desk staff were incredibly kind & accommodating. This group also includes oral Surgeons who are in Lenoir CIty & Maryville. They DO bill insurance, the staff is over-the-top friendly, and as a Nurse I was impressed! BRAVO to this incredible Knoxville Team!

Fantastic experience: My 9 year old son had to have some extractions and Tennessee Valley Oral Surgery came highly recommended. We had a wonderful experience from the consultation through post-op care. Everyone was very thorough and transparent throughout the entire process. Fantastic experience: While on vacation in Gatlinburg I cracked a molar and needed it looked at. This office got me in same day where it was determined it needed to be extracted. They were so thorough and gave me a whole bunch of options and then scheduled extraction for next morning. Procedure went smoothly and the staff was extremely compassionate. I would highly recommend this office to anyone! Way to go team!!

Fantastic experience: I honestly cannot give enough praise to the staff at TVOS. Everyone is so kind and helpful. I really appreciate Bailey!! I was extremely nervous and she listened and put my mind at ease before my procedure. You can see that she truly cares about her patients. Dr Eisenberg was wonderful as well. She made my visit quick, easy, and is an EXCELLENT surgeon! I am recovering well with no issues. I definitely recommend this practice for any oral surgery needs

The process with sedation was pain free and that hopefully calms the fears of those who dread the procedure. It was a breeze.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Laporte is an amazing oral surgeon, and her staff are great too. I had 4 wisdom teeth plus 2 extra teeth taken out, and she fixed my tongue tie. I did not experience the pain that I had expected. I was never in extreme pain just a little mild pain couple days but thats expected. If you need oral surgery go see her. I was worried for nothing and I wish I had done it sooner. Dr. Laporte's care and skill made this surgery a piece of cake.

Fantastic experience: My first oral surgery experience. The team took their time and explained everything to me so I could make an informed decision, and the proceeded to do the work. Extracted my broken tooth and set me up for a implant once this heals. I was really impressed with everyone there.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding experience. These are good people, very professional and very knowledgeable, and very friendly. They explained everything in good detail and I knew exactly what to expect. They went over the procedure, the pricing, everything. It was all clear and understandable. I could not have asked for a better visit. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I am due a refund of $687 from being overcharged at time of service on 6/13/24. It is now 7/25/24 and I've called multiple times asking very politely for the status of my refund. Today I was told it could take another 30 days before they process it due to having soooo many refunds to process. I've asked if I could pick it up and was told no. I asked if they can rush it, they said no. I honestly don't know if they just hope people stop calling and give up on asking for their refunds. Definitely starting to question their integrity.

Fantastic experience: The Tennessee Valley Oral Surgery employees were courteous, engaging and very knowledgeable about the reason for my " work in" surgery. Dr. Leslie DaPorte was informative and gregarious upon walking into my room. Exceptional bedside manner and a natural way of making me completely comfortable. Dr. Talia Nutting, DDS. recommend this practice, and I just praise the Lord for these two wonderful and amazing women. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Leslie DaPorte for any/all issues related to oral surgery. Dr. DaPorte is truely, an angel of God's precious mercy.

Fantastic experience: Rod is my husband , I , Cassandra, saw them today . Wonderful staff! I was in dire need of a tooth extraction due to infection and had been in so much pain. They got me in fast and took care of business . I felt very welcomed and cared for . Questions answered in detail and you get the feeling they want to be there helping you . Highly recommend. They have the best attitude and care about their patients and makes us feel better. I think any doctor there would be good. May God bless each of them. Fantastic experience: Dr. LaPorte and her team took wonderful care of my daughter when she had to have her wisdom teeth removed and was in pain. Mac was so great at explaining everything to us and made my daughter feel comfortable. We are so impressed with the level of care and communication from every employee we came in contact with. Fantastic experience: So far, so good. Had 4 wisdoms extracted... didn’t feel a thing. It was like it never happened. I remember the last thing I said, but I don’t remember falling asleep. It was so quick and painless (only a little IV nick not really too bad) ... when I woke up I was skeptical if they were even out. They gave enough medication for me to be comfortable which I am very pleased with because I have been alert and able to care of myself and my child afterwards besides the ride home. I was very nervous and had put this off for years. I’m really glad that it‘s finally taken care of. I hope the healing process is just as easy. Thank you so much! -11/20/2020

Fantastic experience: My primary dentist referred me to a different company and I had a bad experience and decided not to get treatment with them. I was looking around for another company to work with in the area. I read all the reviews before coming to Tennessee Valley Oral Surgery. I agree they treat you like family. They got me in super quickly to be seen, they offer the most affordable care without insurance. I was able to do my consult and surgery all at the same time; this not allowed at other offices. (Wonderful for full time working patients) I arrived at 9:45 had x-rays, consult, consents signed, bill paid, and surgery/recovery completed before 11am. My consult alone took over 2 hrs at the other place! The staff works as a team, they are efficient, and knowledgeable about their specialty. They comforted my anxiety, treated me with compassion, and did not make me feel guilty or ashamed. They gave me many options of care. They provide sedation, local, and/or nitrous. The team all has radio headsets to update each other and I loved that. It made everything super efficient when when I changed my mind last minute on my treatment plan. It was corrected within minutes. They gave me full autonomy of my care and supported me the whole way through. The assistant Melanie was polite, calming, spoke positively about her co-workers/company, and made me feel like a person not just a patient. Thank you! Dr Hasstedt was polite and kind. He has wonderful skills with local. I did not feel anything but pressure during the procedure. He made sure I was educated and felt comfortable at all times. He even called me a few hours after the procedure to check on me himself. I’ve never had a Dr call after a procedure unless they are just updating the family when the patient has been under anesthesia. My meds were put in promptly to the pharmacy and I had everything I needed for post op care in a goodie bag. This was an awesome experience for me. I would recommend this practice to any and all who need dental work. Thank you for taking care of me.

Fantastic experience: As a dentist myself, I highly recommend the doctors and staff of Tennessee Valley. After an accident caused me to loose 2 of my teeth, Dr LaPorte and Dr Jones did an excellent job of replacing my teeth with implants and bone grafting.
