Fantastic experience: I love Dr. Ellsworth. He has been amazing for my 18 year old. She needed extensive work due to her genetic condition (and needs more) and he has taken the time and patience to make sure she gets her smile back. I look forward to continue working with him. The front office staff are sticklers for the rules but they are very busy so it’s understandable.

Fantastic experience: Both my daughters go do core dental. My oldest absolutely loves the doctor and says he is so nice. My youngest is terrified of going and of being around unfamiliar people so the dentist is very hard for her. She has had major panic meltdown while there and over the several times she has gone, has only let them look at her teeth a couple of times. None of the staff or the doctor have ever made her feel bad or tried forcing her into sitting on the chair. The doctor has told me at this age the biggest goal is helping them feel comfortable with being at the dentist, and the way he treats both my kids really shows that. He let's them go at their pace and is very kind and patient with them both. Absolutely amazing office!

Negative experience: Took my son here for years was told about a cavity about 6 months ago. Took my son to another dentist today and was told his tooth has been rotting for at least 2 years and is not savable. They were never in a hurry to do anything and always scheduled out 6+ months even if it was something that was time sensitive. Im glad I swapped dentists for my son. He might actually be able to have some teeth left going unto adulthood now.

Fantastic experience: They were amazing definitely going back, yes it's mainly for kids but if you're an adult and you're neurodivergent like I am or if your not I think this place is for you!! They are amazing friendly staff everywhere!!! They are really well at communicating with me on what they was doing and if I needed breaks while they was cleaning my teeth they understood that it is tough to have you're mouth open for long period of time!! Jesse is the doctor and he is incredibly nice!!!! I'm definitely going back 10/10 is my rate for them!!! Also for people who have kids this is definitely for them!! I wish they had this dentist when I was younger!!! They have on the ceiling for the person laying down getting their teeth done !!! Positive experience: The dentist is fantastic! If I were only rating him, I would give 5 stars! The staff on the other hand, not so much. My kids were let go from the practice over a missed appointment that I’m almost certain we didn’t even have scheduled. I’ve gotten a reminder text for every single appointment we’ve had, except this one. I didn’t have an appointment card, nor a reminder. It saddens me because we really like the dentist himself.

Fantastic experience: Timely manner in and out quick. Employees are very nice and professional. Dentist was absolutely great and patient with my nine year old son. I would absolutely recommend the dentist to family and friends. The dentist is great with kids. My son didn't even know he got shots in his mouth.

Negative experience: I had an appointment for my child today. I brought her in and was told the office was texting trying to confirm the appointment but the only text I received from the office was a time to check in for the appointment today. This makes me doubt the competence of the people working there.

Negative experience: I really debated making this post, but my experience today has bothered me too much not to. We went in today for my son and waited 40 minutes to finally have the doctor in, which is a normal thing here. While waiting during that time, I saw the tools laid out and was extremely bothered by how dirty they were. My review on this does not look like the only one this practice has had on dirty tools. I didnt see the lady open the package, but she did use the same tray during the time that she worked with my son. I took this picture and I made a post in a group of dental experts asking if I was being dramatic and if there was any reason these tools should be this dirty. Some said its sterilization spots on the mirror so I can understand that (still should be wiped clear), but there is obvious dried filling material on these tools. Several people telling me to "run now" and how filthy that is. That a quality dentist would never allow that. Even if these were sterilized at all, why wasn't the filling material scraped before. Bacteria would still be underneath. I guess in the end, would you be okay putting this in your mouth? Im just disgusted beyond belief and I believe it was extremely lazy on their part, I cant trust this practice anymore which is unfortunate because I did really like them.

Positive experience: Try to schedule your appointment before 3:30 pm. They were in a hurry to close and forgot to let my child get in the treat box. It was her 1st time there.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ellsworth is absolutely amazing!! My girl is terrified of any kind of practitioners. We have seen Dr Ellsworth multiple times but this was her first cleaning. The dental hygienist was so great with her and was able to get her teeth cleaned. And Dr. Ellsworth was able to do a thorough examination and get the fluoride on! It definitely makes it easier for mama when my baby is in good hands! I love this office.

Negative experience: This place deserves Zero stars. Why take patients from far away when they arrive you refuse to see and treat them! Not the patients fault when you want to schedule them early and they arrive a couple minutes late. Not one patient is going to push your ENTIRE schedule back for the day when the doctor is always taking forever to get over and check patients anyway. Terrible office service.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ellsworth and his staff are always so friendly and kind. The atmosphere is wonderful, toys and books in the waiting room along with a dry erase wall to draw on. Sunglasses to help dim the lights while the child is laying down during cleanings and each chair has a TV right above on the ceiling so the child can relax and watch a fun movie during their visit. My son has been a patient for a couple years now and at each appointment he is more comfortable than the last because they're all so good with kids and he knows what to expect. They listen to concerns, suggest ways to improve dental hygiene and they just make the whole experience worth the 40 minute drive it takes us to get there Thank you for being such an incredible team!!

Negative experience: My daughter chipped her front tooth a couple years back. Not bad but noticeable. My daughter's little cap/filling material came off and I requested to have it replaced/fixed. I was asked if I'd like to have a cleaning as well (she was due) and I agreed. Showed up for the appt and found we had only been scheduled for a cleaning and x-rays, no repair. I was upset and annoyed and the woman behind the counter tried to convince me I was the problem. I was very specific in my intentions when I called to make the appt. My daughter returned to school broken-hearted - sad her smile was still a little broken. Will not return.

Fantastic experience: The dentist was so kind, very polite and funny. Made my son feel included and he laughed as well. Very happy with this dentist and will continue to go back. He was also very thorough. The staff was also excellent. Very friendly and professional

Negative experience: I wouldn't even take my dogs here!!! The receptionists are absolutely unprofessional & rude.. and that's me putting it kindly! And they can absolutely speak to you HOWEVER they see fit, but when you don't allow them to speak to you like crap, you're automatically "one of those parents," which is absurd. They ALL need a good course in how they treat & talk to the parents, period. I work with the elderly in home healthcare & I've NEVER met such unprofessional people who simply don't TRULY care about the kids teeth.. they're just getting as MANY "tenncare kids" as possible, mine were among those two! I'd highly recommend trying another dentist because this place is absolutely the most unprofessional place I've been to & they're NOT there to serve us parents, they're supposed to be for the kids. Do better, especially that "receptionist," Ashley.. she needs a HUGE training lesson on the importance of professionalism, even if she's ONLY a receptionist! Lol. Again.. DO BETTER!! Update: they sent me a letter of "dismissal" for my kids & Dr. Ellsworth is one of the worst dentist I've EVER encountered, they're definitely not understanding people at all.. Just their for a paycheck

Negative experience: needed a secondary molar extraction. apparently no 'dentist' in oak ridge can simply pull a tooth so i suggest going to any other city for your dental needs. after all pullin a tooth should be the bare minimum a dentist can do! This place told me they refer out. "Okay can you tell me who i can call then that pulls teeth, do you know anyone?" "we refer you" "well can you just skip the trip and unnecessary money and give me the refferal over the phone since you know you're going to refer me anyway?" "you have to come in for an examination and then we refer you " all the places in oak ridge doing a get more money scheme. avoid this town's 'dentists.'

Fantastic experience: Family friendly environment, great treatment and communication, wonderful dentist and staff! I’ve been taking my two children there for a few years now and we love it! They’re not afraid to go to the dentist anymore because Dr. Ellsworth is that great! I highly recommend this dental office.

Negative experience: Todays experience was not good. The girl who cleaned my daughters teeth rushed through it. She was done in less than 10 minutes. There is no way she done a thorough job. By the reviews it looks like this isn't the first time this has happened.If this doesn't change we will be going elsewhere.

When we went this week there was a very sweet nurse named Kyra, who my daughter let do X-rays or her teeth, brush her teeth, floss them, etc. Like I said she has never done that before and she’s 6. I am so thankful for this office and most of all, Kyra!

Positive experience: We like to come all the way to Oakridge! We are happy to see Dr. Jesse Ellsworth every time we have appointment. He is nice and sweet with children. My 3 boys like him and they are pleased with his work. His staff are good too, they know what they’re doing and are OKAY. I would give him five stars BUT the only bad thing is for appointments schedule, they give you appointments SO FAR AWAY and get the chance of not changing so you better choose your date well. Besides that, all is GOOD!

Negative experience: The dentist is excellent. Kind and patient. Unfortunately their scheduling practices are terrible. They schedule cavity fills, tooth pulls, etc 8+ months out. Their appointment times take over stated time due to the poor schedule practices. In general I like the dentist but until they get different scheduling practices we will be going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Update we just went for the 2nd time yesterday and my lil man did fantastic, he let them brush his teeth use dental floss and look at his teeth! He was amazing! Thankx guys! They were really good with my son. It was his first time and they were patient with him. My granddaughter went as well and was scared but they were also great with her as well.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had been to the dentist elsewhere prior due to insurance issues but she never allowed the dentist to even look in her mouth, we went to core dental for the first time Monday and they were so patient and kind to her. She let the dental assistant (I don’t recall her name , but she was hands down the BEST! ) brush her teeth, look in her mouth and do everything that needed to be done. Also the Dentist was so patient with me letting me know exactly what was going on and what he was going to do. He explained everything and made sure I was okay with what his plan was. Truly a great dental office and visit! I’m thankful my child felt so comfortable especially on her first visit!

Fantastic experience: They were amazing with my son and talked him through the whole thing so he wouldn't be nervous. The ladies were very gentle and the dentist was very soft spoken. They done amazing with the kids there. Very nice and clean and happy atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Dr. E is efficient and to the point. He came in on a holiday to fix my 6 year old son's chipped permanent front tooth! Here is a before and 4 days after pic. I offered him my kidney because he truly cares enough to sacrifice time away from his family for mine. His team is busy trying to keep up with the kids and parents. Be kind and patient because Core dental is worth it! God bless you Core dental and thank you again for saving my boy's young smile

The paperwork needed on initial visit was so easy with the help of the staff!! The wait time in the waiting room was minimal. Dr. Ellsworth is Awesome!! He explains everything to the patient and parent and is very happy to answer any and All questions at any time. We were referred to an oral surgeon due to needing wisdom teeth extraction, this entire process was explained and we were made to feel at ease. Follow up appointments were made without difficulties. I would choose Dr. Ellsworth and his staff at any time!!

My kids and I recently visited Core Dental for their cleanings, and I'm thrilled to share our fantastic experience. We've had some less-than-stellar dental visits in the past, so my kids were understandably nervous. But the moment we stepped through the door at Core Dental, our fears melted away. Positive experience: Love Dr.Ellsworth. Unfortunately the policy they have isn’t all that great..if you have to reschedule once you can just not a 2nd time I had a hard time finding my kids a dentist before but just one of my kids had appointment today so I don’t know if that just cancel out my other kids future appointments or what….Do Better with the reschedule policies cause what if someone has a family emergency or a accident or just can’t make it car breaks down etc. it’s just ridiculous I wasn’t gonna give y’all 3 stars but I had good experience here with my kids

Fantastic experience: 1st, I appreciate your practice thaking my grandson as a patient. After months, of trying to get in locally around our hometown, we are having to drive 2 hours, and that's perfectly fine. Every single second, from the time I called to the minute we checked out was awesome! Your staff is so sweet and kind! Dr. Ellsworth, had such a gentle and sweet spirit with my grandson, made suggestions on his care, and now I feel like we have a plan! Thankful for a visit that I feel was successful!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best in the east TN area. The Dr was so soft and gentle with my kids, and talked to them about what was going on the whole time. He was informative to me as well, and answered all my questions with ease. My kids can have a hard time with new things, and he responded better than I could have hoped. To quote the Dr, he said “I want to meet them where they’re at”. That phrase really stuck with me and I’m appreciative that Core Dental is an option for us. I couldn’t recommend anyone else for a pediatric dentist!
