Fantastic experience: I found Dr Russ through my home Dr in Scottsdale, AZ due to a broken crown. Her office got me in on the same day and got my crown repaired that same day. Absolutely incredible!! I didn’t expect anything close, I thought I might even have to call my visit to Boulder short and get home to get this done. I do get to Boulder for most of the summer and have lived here in the past for 12 years. I will always call Dr. Russ and if I lived in Boulder once again she would certainly be my dentist. Her staff is wonderful as well. I am a cancer survivor with complex dental needs as a result of my chemotherapy, and Dr. Russ was able to get me back to 100%. She has also helped me with cosmetic procedures and I am thrilled! I think she is one of the top specialists in the whole country. And we moved here from Southern California. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I've had the pleasure of meeting the very friendly, and knowledgeable Dr. Moore. Recently he replaced an old filling that was beginning to crack with a crown. I don't like getting numb and I opted to do this procedure without getting numb. Not only were my wishes granted but he and Eduardo worked efficiently and carefully during the whole procedure and made sure I was always comfortable. The staff is very kind, thoughtful, and provided as much information as I could think to ask for. Fantastic experience: Dr Birnbach has taken great care of me. I have recently gotten invisalign and it has been a wonderful process and I can’t believe the results. Him and the team there are all top of their field. Update 8/30- I just had my first cleaning at Boulder Smiles and it was my best dentist experience to date. Fantastic experience: Dr Russ is THE BEST. Not only is she super kind and caring — she’s by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I’ve had white deposits on my front teeth since as long as I can remember and every other dentist has basically just said I’m stuck with them. Dr. Russ suggested a treatment (called Icon) that completely got rid of the spots painlessly and in one visit! Truly cannot thank her enough. Not to mention, the office is stunning, and all the staff are always so lovely and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I’m so grateful I found Dr. Russ and Boulder Smiles. I was long overdue for a dental exam and their office was able to promptly line up a cleaning, two significant fillings, as well as getting me fitted for a night guard at my first appointment. I was blown away by their state-of-the-art scanning technology when I saw the images on the screen. Dr. Russ took a personal interest in my story and was intimately familiar with my connective tissue disorder (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), which immediately put me at ease. She explained my treatment options clearly and optimistically, and I never once felt judged — even after years of dental neglect. The office itself is beautiful, calm, and ideally located in the heart of Boulder. I got a strong sense of community from the friendly banter I overheard between other patients and staff. I genuinely smiled more during my visits here than at all other dental offices combined. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Russ and the Boulder Smiles team more highly.

Fantastic experience: Megan is an amazing hygienist. She is personable, kind, considerate and very thorough in her care. She provides oral cancer screenings at every visit which I highly value. She uses leading edge technology while cleaning your teeth and spends the quality time with you that is required in order to provide thorough and excellent care. I highly recommend visiting her and Dr. Russ for excellent dental care.

Fantastic experience: The best dental office I’ve ever been to! I saw Dr. Moore after finishing my Invisalign treatment for a bite evaluation, and the whole team was incredibly kind and attentive. Dr. Moore was honest and knowledgeable, and he adjusted my bite the same day. It now feels perfect! I’m so happy with the results and the amazing beside manner of everyone in the office. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: 10/28/25 thank you Enrique for your great help with my new nightguard! 7/24/25 I was in again today for a cleaning with Meghan. I really like Meghan. She is a very good hygienist. She is caring, thorough and clearly experienced. It is my second time with her and will see her again for my next cleaning appointment!! Your hygienist Heather was great. She did a thorough and awesome job. It was my first time being with her. She is also very personable. Your new office manager Tamara is a breath of fresh air. She is very warm, welcoming and efficient. She is a delightful addition to your staff!! I was at Boulder Smiles again today for a cleaning and exam. My hygienist Sydney was thorough and very good, explaining everything as she went along which I appreciate. Dr. Russ also filled a small cavity. She is a great doctor and also explained everything clearly to me as she went along. All of the staff are very personable and helpful. Thank you all.

Positive experience: I've had 3 'rough' appointments here since Dr Birnbach sold the business. Today I finally got a cleaning with a permanent technician and Meghan was great. It's only a 4 bc of the staffing problems they were struggling with. If I go back for my next appointment and it is as good as today I will probably go to 5 stars. It's been a difficult transition for me; im so relieved they got their staff issues straightened out. I love all the ways we have to care for our dental hygiene too, at home and the office with lasers, etc.

Fantastic experience: This place was absolutely incredible. I'm not from nearby— I am actually from Chicagoland and visiting Boulder. After having an incident associated with subpar dental work done in Chicago, these dentists were able to not only fix it same day but fix it with precision and care so I know it was actually (!!!) done right this time. Super nice office too, and they gave me headphones to listen to music while they worked on my tooth which wasn't necessary... but I loveddd it :) Shame I don't live here and can't make this my permanent dentist, but huge shoutout to this place for not only being able to accommodate an emergency, but giving me better dental care than anywhere I've ever been. Fantastic experience: Why 5 Stars? Dr. Caleb Moore! I've been going to Boulder Smiles for 5 years. All routine stuff, excellently performed by a fabulous staff. Then, I needed an emergency tooth extraction. I freaked! I'm a Boomer (67); biggest procedure I've ever needed. Dr. Moore and assistant, Alena, were there for me. Every step of the way was explained in a gentle manner, the procedure was comfortable in ways I never imagined, and they managed my anxiety really well. Fantastic experience: First, I found this practice on Google without any personal referral, only going by online reviews and their gallery of pictures, which is always a gamble. I have to say, this is probably the best interaction I have ever had with a dentist and dental staff. The time they take to get to know you and your specific needs is impressive. They are clearly experts in their field, but also great humans, which is rare to find.

While many people are fearful of dental appointments that is definitely not a concern at all at Boulder Smiles. Fantastic experience: Dr. Caleb Moore did an extraction for me 2 weeks ago. I was very anxious, as extractions had been very painful and difficult in the past. Dr. Moore was amazing, so knowledgeable, and explained every single step along the way. It was out before I knew it, and it was painless!!! He was available for all my questions throughout my two week of recovery. I saw him again today, and he said it is healing perfectly. I can not say how happy I am to have found Dr. Caleb Moore, and I recommend him to anyone who needs implants or extractions. So thrilled with my experience!!

Fantastic experience: I think I found my forever dentist! Dr. Russ took her time and the new patient exam was very thorough- including evaluations I’ve never had done before. I was also sent home with a lot of materials to help myself at home. New patients even get a bottle of wine or olive oil- she has definitely developed something pretty special at Boulder Smiles!

This is something I’ve had a problem with at other dental practices in Boulder.

Fantastic experience: Boulder Smiles is amazing!! I’m an out of state student at CU and I needed to find a local dentist here in Boulder I could trust. My front teeth are veneers and one of them popped out, and when I called this place they fit me in for an appointment that same morning! They have a gorgeous office and every single staff member was so welcoming and helpful. They were upfront about their payment policy (pay first and have insurance reimburse later) and did not try to over-charge me, which I appreciated. If I ever have dental issues while at school in the future, this is definitely where I will go!
