Fantastic experience: Dr. Lowrey and his team have taken amazing care of our family, and have gone above and beyond to create positive experiences. This team is so friendly, and caring when it comes to patients. Dental anxiety is real and they care about what they can do to make each appointment less nerve wracking. You can tell the team dynamic is also comfortable, which is a bonus. They treat each other and you like family! 10/10 I would come here for anything between routine to specialist needs, even the specialists we’ve been sent to have taken great care of us!

Fantastic experience: I am new to this practice and had my first cleaning and exam last week. I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist so trying someone new is a big deal however, my former dentist retired so I did not have a choice. This was the best experience I have ever had at the dentist with Dr. Lowery and his hygienist and the young man working at the front desk. Everyone was so helpful and polite. I will be recommending this practice to all of my friends and family!

Negative experience: This dental office cancelled on me twice in two weeks within 1 hour of the start of the appointment each time. They acted like I was crazy when I suggested that a late cancellation fee should work in more than one direction. Then would not accommodate an appointment outside of their measly 9-4 M-Th hours to make up for my missed appointments. Stay far away from this dental office.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak more highly of Dr. Lowery and his team. From the second you walk in the door you’re welcomed by the warm front office staff - and then the experienced and equally warm and skilled dental assistant. Dr. Lowry is thorough and prioritizes what works best for me, cost- and procedure-wise. He’s not someone who recommends procedures you don’t need. The practice feels like a family and I will always trust him with my and my children’s teeth.

Fantastic experience: Best dental visit I have ever had! The new dentist (Dr. Lowry) is gentle and thorough and answered all my questions. And I got to pet a puppy while I was there which really eased my anxiety! The office staff and receptionist are always kind and easy to work with.

Fantastic experience: I'd typically only give 4 stars because everyone fears going to the dentist. I had the most painless cleaning of my life, and I'm very old. My hygienist was perfect and the dentist talked over my plan for the future.

Fantastic experience: What a great practice! I was taken in within 5 min. The Hygenist, Kylie, was amazing: very thorough and very gentle. Perfect cleaning and very gentle when completing x-rays. The new owner/ dentist , Dr Lowery was so kind and a truly wonderful guy. So happy it is a privately owned practice and not a corporate office as this makes all the difference regarding the quality of care. I received excellent care and will be back! Positive experience: A very well-run organization that is conveniently located for me. There staff have the perfect mix of professional and personable communication style and they do a nice job preparing your for billing and reminders. I would have given them 5 stars but their primary dentist changes every 1-2 years so I haven't loved that.

Fantastic experience: I go to the office in Superior and love it. The hygengenist was great and took her time doing a through cleaning. The office staff is also very friendly, knowledgeable and treat you with respect.

Fantastic experience: Front desk staff is kind and efficient. Dr. Youkel is refreshingly transparent. I like the level of detail he provides me during procedures. He and his hygenists have excellent bedside manner and work well together.

Negative experience: This place scammed me. They signed me up for a monthly payment plan in August and then kept canceling the appointments when I tried to actually use it to get routine dental cleaning. Once with no notice, once with a day notice, and the third time (and what prompted this review) is with 4 hours notice. They had no trouble charging me the monthly payment. The receptionist was utterly uncaring and states because she called with 4 hours notice I had no reason to be upset at driving 45 minutes to the appointment despite receiving a text message just 2 hours prior to the appointment confirming it was still scheduled! The receptionist who cancelled the appointment then acted like she had no power to reinstate it and the dentist agreed to talk to me only if I waited two hours. Truly a horrible experience

Fantastic experience: Dr. Youkel is very detail-oriented in his work which exactly what you want in a dentist. Teresa deserves 5 stars as she's been there for many years and explains things very clearly. I've had a couple fillings now and all were quick and went well. As a bonus it has also been more affordable as Flatirons is in-network with our insurance. Lovely to have a great dentist in the neighborhood!

Fantastic experience: Teeth cleaning went perfectly, everyone was very professional and friendly. They even called with an earlier opening from my original appointment and I was able to get in a few days earlier.

Negative experience: I was really disappointed with my experience here as a first-time patient, especially since I usually look forward to dental visits. What started as a straightforward cleaning—during which the hygienist commented that my teeth looked great—quickly soured when I received a quote for over $1,000 in surgeries. The dentist, who I believe was Dr. Marc Youkel (though he never introduced himself), conducted his exam without properly evaluating my wisdom teeth. This seemed odd, given that a dentist should assess all my teeth. I also overheard him inform the patient next to me that he needed wisdom teeth removal despite no complaints from that patient. To top it off, I was told I had six cavities, which contradicted my previous visit to another dentist just six months ago. After the exam, the hygienist declared, “Looks like you had a great checkup!” A “great checkup” with a proposed bill exceeding $1,000? It feels disingenuous. I won’t be returning, and the friends I referred have all canceled their appointments. Further, even if I do have a lot of cavities, I will be taking my services to another dental practice that actually cares about the patient.

Fantastic experience: Met with a new hygienist and new dentist Dr. Marc Youkel at Flatirons Family Dental. Both were very gentle and thorough. I’ve spent my life in dentists’ offices. It makes a huge difference in how you are treated great experience.

Fantastic experience: 13Feb2024 Another appointment, another great teeth cleaning. Irlanda Herrera was my technician, no question best cleaning in over 100 dental visits during my life. Smooth technique and very professional. Top recommendation! The staff got me in on a same day appt that was fortuitously available. My dental tech was very competent and professional. In addition to a great cleaning they also found a filling that needed redoing, and i got an appt for that later this month. Great work and amazing staff. I look forward to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: I'm usually terrified of the dentist. Avoided going for over 2 years but both the dentist and hygienist here were amazing---super gentle, knowledgeable, and thorough. Took their time and were super friendly. Also waited maybe 2 minutes to be seen. First time ever I made my next appointment the same day lol. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sunny is great! She’s very nice, detail oriented, efficient and honest about treatments. I trust her. She fixed my cracked tooth before my root was damaged. It was a pretty quick and painless procedure. She will be my regular dentist from now on.

Negative experience: Terrible. Tired going im twice during business hours to pay a bill (once at 9:3 am and once at 4pm) and the door is locked. Terribly run. Hours on door are 8-5. Hours online are wrong as well. It literally currently says "open" online as I sit here writing this just tried to go inside. Is this place even open anymore?!

Negative experience: Don't come here if you have anxiety of dental work. Started coming here a year ago to fix a broken tooth, and they heard and understood my fears and anxiety about it all, and the dentist I thought I was coming to was gentle, kind dentist that would explain everything to me. Planned the rest of my dental work and came back 2 months later to an entirely different dentist that began drilling on me immediately after numbing me, without checking in. Very little communication to me, until she left me with a possible trainee or hygienist ?? after drilling on me. The possible trainee did not talk to me about what she was doing throughout, putting things in between my teeth, causing pressure, and I have no idea what was happening. The dentist also came to check in on her twice to see how it was going. Not on me. I'm sure they did a fine job on my teeth, but I was scared and anxious the entire time, and I never knew their names throughout the session. I felt like I was at a "come and go" dentist office that cared little about patient care and more about the amount of work and how fast they could get it done. I will not be coming back here.

Fantastic experience: I had been a customer here from ~2008-2018, but the practice went through changes of ownership in the later years that left me unhappy due to never seeing the same hygienists or dentists twice. After the pandemic, I returned and found that the staff is more stable and the dentists are much more attentive. I've gotten professional, comfortable service and happily recommend.

Negative experience: I went in for a night guard fitting and the Dentist chipped my front tooth trying to force it in place. Even though I told her repeatedly it did not fit, she told me to go home and give it a few days. When I get home I see my tooth is chipped and called them to let them know. I got voice mail and no one has attempted to contact me. Stay away from this place.

Negative experience: I went in for my first cleaning and x-rays with Flatirons as I just moved to the area and was told I needed over $2,000 of dental work done as I had a lot of cavities. The hygenist and front desk offered their insurance plan to "help me save money" on the bill so I could get it done immediately. I have always had healthy teeth so went to my hometown dentist to get a second opinion and another set of xrays to confirm the cavities that Flatirons saw and it turns out I did not have the issues or cavities they claimed and didn't need any of the dental work done. Giving two stars because I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt as it can be common for different doctors to have different opinions but this was my experience with Flatiron Dental.

Fantastic experience: My hygienist is always wonderful. The front office is kind and quick to help. The dentist is phenomenal. It's why I make the 20 minute drive to see them for my appointments!

Negative experience: I wish I could recommend this place, I really do. It's got an excellent hygienist, convenient location, and...NEVER a dentist. The practice has changed hands so much, I've gone through four dentists in four years. The more important issue is that they keep honoring cleaning visits but the dentist never shows up to do the actual DDS exam part. They waited UNTIL I SHOWED UP TODAY AND WAS IN THE CHAIR before they said the doctor "had an appointment" (WELL, SO DID I!!!!!) and wouldn't be joining us. CANNOT recommend this practice. If you are smart, choose someplace else.

Fantastic experience: I'm new to the area and came in as a new patient and had a great experience. Extremely professional staff, technicians and doctors. Everyone was very communicative and made sure I understood all issues, procedures and costs. Have no doubt and make this you primary dental care, they're fantastic!

Negative experience: After figuring out scheduling problems for 6 months, finally went in and was told my appointment wasn't on the schedule. Had the email with the appointment confirmation, but they couldn't get me in for another 4 weeks. Used sick time for an appointment that didn't even happen. Needless to say, I'll be going somewhere else. Update 1: After posting this review, I received a call stating that all future appointments had been canceled. They seemed genuinely apologetic, but it's not cool that everything was canceled without my prior consent. Update 2: Went to another dentist and was told I was misdiagnosed as having multiple cavities by this provider. Definitely should have listened to the other reviews regarding over-diagnosing cavities!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Flatirons Family Dental, in particular Rachel, their amazing Dental Hygienist. I tried multiple dentists in the area, none come close to the professionalism and quality of care of Flatirons and Rachel. Rachel is so sweet and caring. I’ve had two cleanings with her now and wouldn’t go to anyone else. She is very thorough in her work- it’s obvious she loves what she does and is very talented at her art. I never enjoyed going to the dentist before, but Rachel changed that. Highly recommend! The practice is great, don’t try to do unnecessary treatments or upsell you. Be sure to check out their lifetime teeth bleaching deal, can’t beat it!

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment at 3, they didn’t call me back until about 320, and I didn’t leave until 6 because there were other patients they were working on. However, it was an emergency same-day appointment so I’m thankful they could get me in at all. The work they did was great.
