Fantastic experience: You ever just want to chill with your besties and have them obsess over your oral health? Well this is the place! I, like many, have had traumatizing experiences with dentists before finding Dr. Michael, DA Seneca, and the amazing staff at BVD, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for their patience, care, and professionalism. Always a judgement free zone and their number one goal is YOU and your longterm health. They take extra steps to make sure you are comfortable and supported, give clear explanations and expectations, and give you full control of how you want to proceed. (((Everyone is also stunning and super nice, which is just the cherry on top!)))

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit today with Boulder Valley Dental Centre since it changed hands. I have been a patient of Dr Hughes for many years so it was with some trepidation that I heard the change of ownership. I received the same pleasant greeting on entering. My appointment was on time. Debbie did an excellent inspection and cleaning, while ensuring I was relaxed and comfortable. Then I met Dr. Anissa what a delight she is. She again, gave me another inspection and explained everything in depth. I can say the staff are committed to the same outstanding level of care that I have come to expect over the years with this practice. Sally.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency visit due to pain and she was able to get me in early the next day. I had an infection and erosion of the root plus other issues it was causing. She was able to extract the tooth immediately and the procedure was not stressful because she explained every single step. It was a very good experience considering the circumstances.

Fantastic experience: Dr Annissa Michael and her staff are not only amazingly proficient and precise in fixing any and all issues you might be experiencing, they are patient, warm, kind, and understanding. I can't say enough good things about the great experience I had and the before and after photos speaks for themselves. My bonding(when my adult front teeth came in, there were two white spots on them that I wanted to have "painted" over) chipped for a third time and Dr. Michael discovered that a bottom front tooth had a very sharp edge that was hitting it just right. Problem solved and the results are fantastic. Thank you all so much!

Fantastic experience: 5 Stars is not enough considering the time, effort, patience and understanding Dr Annissa, Seneca and all the staff have shown to my elderly mother with memory issues and failing teeth and dental health. Fantastic experience: Just had to write a review to let everyone know how great this dental office is for patient care. Our whole family has been going here since Dr. Hughes came to town. The whole staff Shanda, Elizabeth, Dr. Hughes and especially that friendly, smiling face from Lisa as soon as you open the door makes you feel like you have just come into a friend's home not the dentist!! Lisa will offer you something to drink, or even a paraffin hand dip to help relax those anxious feelings you may have about your dental visit. The whole staff makes you feel very relaxed and explains each and every step they take to ensure a pleasant experience. I can not begin to tell you how reassuring that can make the trip to the dentist a valuable part of your healthcare. My adult autistic son now enjoys his dental appointments! Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been a patients at Boulder Valley Dental Center for over two decades, and have found Dr. Annissa and team to be the most attentive, detail oriented, compassionate health care circle we have ever encountered. As a highly sensitive person, it is easy for my anxiety levels to peak during dental care, but the entire team is thoughtful and so knowledgeable that I feel extremely relaxed during my visits. Deb has always accommodated my preference for a manual dental cleaning without hesitation and with overall gentleness. Dr. Annissa projects a calm and tender energy during her assessments, and is exceptional at explaining her findings, as well as the most favorable treatments going forward (and she has a sense of humor which is often missing in dental offices). Since Dr. Annissa bought BVDC, the overall care is truly outstanding!

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been with Boulder Valley Dental since we moved to the area 27 years ago. Dr. Annissa bought the practice about 3 years ago and we have been thrilled with her and her team. They explain with great detail what they see in the exams, are extremely thorough and detail oriented and work with the fact we aren't using Dental insurance by offering a Membership Plan for our bi- yearly exams.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful dental clinic. My teeth and gums are improving, and the highly skilled clinicians and staff are also careful, caring, and informative. I enjoy the interesting films I get to watch as they work ( once it was My Octopus Teacher and yesterday was the trials and adventurers of penguins in New Zealand ! Totally fun, and the time flies…

Fantastic experience: I can’t even find enough words to describe how wonderful the staff here are. Two of my kids are patients here, and they’re so great that I’m now a patient, and I’ll be moving my third child here as well. To be clear, there was nothing wrong with our previous provider, but Boulder Valley Dental is just that great. The office itself is very comfortable and calm. They even have a corner with drinks available. During treatment, they offer so many comforts—a blanket, massage chair, noise-canceling headphones (cleaned and re-covered for each patient), and a TV overhead where you can watch Netflix. I watched a movie while having a cavity filled, which made the experience so much easier. One of the biggest reasons we came here was their sedation options. Two of my kids are neurodivergent and have significant anxiety about dental work, especially the noise. They have had no issues coming here for cleanings or treatment, which is something I wasn’t sure would ever be possible. The doctor is truly exceptional. She is incredibly knowledgeable about medical conditions that affect oral health. My daughter and I both have hEDS, and she understood exactly what that meant and how it can affect teeth, gums, and jaw health. I also have Sjögren’s, and she immediately knew what to look for and what I might be dealing with. That level of understanding meant so much to me. What truly set them apart, though, was how they handled a dental emergency with my college student just days before he was leaving for the semester. He was in severe pain, and although they couldn’t see him that day, Skyler called me before they were even officially open to let me know she was personally calling other offices to find someone who could help him. She found a dentist who could see him that same day and accommodate his sedation needs, and Boulder Valley Dental then fit him in the following day to complete the temporary crown. She didn’t have to do that. It would have been easy to just refer us elsewhere. Instead, she went above and beyond to help us during a stressful and painful situation. That was the moment I knew we would be moving our whole family here. I’m incredibly grateful for the care, compassion, and professionalism of everyone in this office. I cannot recommend Boulder Valley Dental highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have the craziest dental anxiety not to mention serious sensory issues on top of bad experiences at the dentist. I have never felt more cared for, seen, and empathized with than I was here. For anyone who has anxiety, things they're embarrassed of, is neurodiverse, etc this is 10000% the place for you. Not only was I made comfortable but they took extra time to explain to me what they were checking for, asked consent before touching me, and generally treated me with a level of kindness I've almost only ever seen with mental health professionals. They set a new standard of care and compassion that goes so above and beyond what they "need" to do. I'm so grateful to the whole staff and especially Dr. Anissa for how they turned something I was so anxious about and distrusting of into an experience that was wildly positive.

Friendly, personable staff, the hot wax on my hands, the general ambiance of the place allows me to relax. The staff all seem to enjoy working together. She easily gets to the root of what’s bothering you regarding your dental issues, & teaches you what’s normal & not on x-rays. I really like how when she’s treating me, she tells me exactly what she’s doing, when she’s doing it. She has excellent diagnostic tools. And she’s very gentle while working on you. Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment at BVDC this week and it was undoubtedly, the best dental experience I have ever had. BVDC went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Annissa was incredibly thorough in her exam and reading of my intake paperwork. She immediately addressed concerns/feedback I noted on my intake form prior to starting the exam. I felt heard. Also, the paraffin hand wax was a nice bonus!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with this practice for many, many years. Dr Hughes sold the practice to Dr Annissa last year and she has maintained the high standards, helpfulness and friendliness that marked Dr Hughes’. I had a deep cavity filled this morning and she was gentle, caring - i have significant other medical issues that needed to be accommodated - didn’t over Novocaine me like others do and left me with a tooth that doesn’t even realize it was worked on. I highly recommend this practice for anyone who needs dental work whether you nap through the process like me or are terrified to walk through the door.

I had some extensive restorative work done and couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. By far the best, most respectful, and highest quality dental care I’ve ever received.

Everyone was so friendly, fully explained everything they were doing during my appointment, and were very reassuring. I also felt like if I were to have had any pain or discomfort during the appointment, they would have taken me seriously and addressed it. I’m so happy to have found Dr. Annissa’s practice, I will definitely be coming here for as long as I can!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Annissa and all the folks at Boulder Valley Dental take fantastic care of me and my family. They take great pride in offering the latest dental treatments and make sure we’re always comfortable and informed. When I initially came to Boulder Valley Dental, they provided a superior laser treatment alternative to gum surgery that not only saved me money, but actually saved my bone and gum health in a way that I was told by another dentist wasn’t possible. The laser treatment also had a much shorter recovery time and very little discomfort. I used to struggle with keeping my gums healthy but now with my regular laser dental cleanings with their top notch hygienists, my gums have been stable for years. Thank you ladies!!

Fantastic experience: After trying out multiple dentists in the last couple of years I was referred to Boulder Valley by a friend. From the moment I walked in I felt taken care of. Everyone here is happy, helpful and laid back. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Annissa! She was knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. She listened to my concerns and gave me multiple options on how to go forward. Even though the location is out of my way, I plan on going back to Boulder Valley for all of my dental care.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Anissa and her team Debbie and Seneca are truly the best of the best! From the minute I walk in I am greeted with Seneca’s friendly smile and then Debbie who always does my cleaning is the friendliest person on the planet! They even do a hand paraffin! I have followed Dr. Anissa from Erie and now to this office and she is so understanding and explains every procedure very delicately. She has years of experience and extremely knowledgeable and has now worked with almost everyone in our family. I have definitely recommended this place to everyone I know.

Positive experience: Everyone is really nice and the practice has a warm, welcoming vibe. In addition to good dental care, you get free parafin hand treatments during your appointment!

Negative experience: Edit: This is the second year in a row that this practice has charged my card $450 without me signing an authorization form. I am now jumping through hoops on year two after I’ve moved away to get $450 back. Resorting to writing it in a review because it’s damn near impossible to get ahold of these guys and because they LEGALLY have no right to charge me. TWICE now. ———————- I cannot say enough about Dr Hughes and Seneca. I have pretty severe dental anxiety from a horrible experience as a teen. Not proud of it, but I went 10 years without seeing a dentist until I found BVDC. These two were so incredibly patient, calming and helpful. They sat with me and explained the procedures before doing them. Seneca handed me the tools to get a feel for them before it happened. I was slow to warm, but I am so appreciative of them for creating new positive associations at the dentist. I finally had a cavity filled this week that I knew was there for a few months.. I was absolutely dreading it, assuming it would be incredibly uncomfortable and painful. This experience was actually the opposite. It was done in 15 minutes, I didn’t feel ANYTHING. All in all, if you have debilitating dental anxiety like I had, give this practice a chance. I never thought I’d get over this fear, but this is where it starts.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tracy Hughes decide to move on and she sure selected a great Doctor to take care of her clients. Thank you Dr. Hughes and best to you. Dr. Annissa Michael is a caring dentist with expert skills. One can see the professionalism when first walking in the door. Dr. Michael has an exceptional team in supporting the needs of her patients. I left her office completely satisfied that she took care of all my dental needs. Yes, I will see her again, in fact, I booked a 6 month check up appointment. We will miss Dr. Hughes, but we sure are in good hands have Dr. Michael taking care of us.
