If you've ever had a frustrating dentist experience or have anxiety related to the dentist, please go to Rathburn Dental. The staff is so supportive and have helped me find multiple ways to be more comfortable with parts of the process that I find stressful/difficult. It's a small practice and they get to know you so you don't have to advocate for yourself constantly. When my teeth were showing signs of wear/damage, Dr Rathburn helped me understand why it would be valuable to consult with an orthodontist. He worked closely with that team to ensure the results were correct. Throughout, he was clear about what was just cosmetic but what would impact my teeth longterm, and showed me directly what he was seeing, so I never doubted the value of the recommendations. Would give more stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: Dr Rathburn is extremely thorough with his exam. This last visit he identified a cracked filling and cracked tooth before i had tooth pain and before i needed a root canal or needed an implant. He also helps you prioritize what work is necessary now and what dental work can wait without negative consequences. This helps me budget dental work.

I'm undergoing cancer treatments & asked the staff for support; they all happily wore masks in all areas of the office and utilized extra caution (disinfected the room I was to be in & found an appointment time for me that allowed for the room to be empty/cleaned for an hour before my arrival). Everyone was kind and compassionate and Abby is the MOST GENTLE hygienist I've ever had! I HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone but especially to those needing extra care & consideration.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Dr. Rathburn. He is very professional, polite and patient. I've had three dental surgeries so far with no complaints. He called the day after surgery which was on the weekend to make sure everything was okay, I thought that was quite nice!

Negative experience: The cleaning was fine, Anne did a great job as usual. Dr Rathburn was again not in the office so, we got just a cleaning and not a Dentist check. (But, I am sure we will be billed like he was there.) My low rating is based on the fact that they do not let you know when you are going to incur extra fees. I had to move my appointment along with my son’s because he was ill. They did not tell me by doing so that I would be charged $100!! I even said that if it was an issue that I would come in; we live a distance away and I didn’t want to do the drive twice. No mention made of a fee until I arrived at my rescheduled appointment. Financial dishonesty is a no go for our family. The financial policies online and the ones used in the office do not match. We will be finding a new dentist!

Fantastic experience: I love Dr Rathburn! I have been a patient for many years and recently moved out of state. I have been trying to find a new dentist where I live but have been unsuccessful thus far and after having awful experiences elsewhere I recently flew back to CO to have Dr Rathburn work on my teeth. I don’t trust anyone else! First off, he is flat out a nice guy! Second, he examines your mouth and if you have an issue he tells you clearly what the issue is and the possible resolutions. He shows you your X-rays. (There are actually dentists out there that don’t bother.) He discusses with you your dental health and makes sure you know exactly what he is doing! And he is great at giving Novacaine when needed. Very GENTLE! Did I mention how great his office staff are? All very friendly and personable. If you are looking for a caring and gentle dentist, Dr Rathburn is the man!

Fantastic experience: Dr Rathburn took off two of my wisdom teeth today. No need to say he was so gentle and professional I barely felt anything! 6h later… the local anesthesia is gone and …I still don’t feel any pain…not soar at all. He is a magician! I On the top of that the atmosphere he is creating at the office is beyond anything you can imagine. You will see a true smile on the face of everyone working around him. He also seems to enjoy transferring knowledge to younger generation, which is highly necessary since professional like him are becoming rare, we need him to teach the next generation how to be a great professional and human being!

Fantastic experience: I am a difficult patient with serious problems. This practice gets an 11 out of ten IMO. The office staff is friendly and professional. Both Dentists are very talented. Dr. Rathburn has exceptional experience and technique. Dr. Plunkett is also very capable, enthusiastic, and has a kind, caring demeanor. They make a superior team. I feel lucky to have found them.
