Clove Dental Hillview - Best Ventura Dentist

Fantastic experience: Walked in and the office was bright, clean and friendly. I was greeted by staff with all smiles. Everyone was so professional and friendly. Every detail of my exam was thoroughly explained. Dr. Young was very careful and answered all my questions. They have been very accommodating with my busy schedule and they have earned a new patient. I can't wait to get working on my treatment plan and will be recommending others. Thank you Main Street Dental Team. Anisa M.

Fantastic experience: I am a huge dentalphobe! This office felt different for me. Staff was kind and thoughtful and the dentist went above and beyond to make me comfortable!

Fantastic experience: After months of dental visits and no results, finally with help of my sister, made my first appointment. Front desk, Pam was very attentive and friendly, explained to us what needed to be done before seeing the dentist. It went well, I have appts for all work to be done and I will finally get my top and bottom partials. Thank you Pam, Franchine and Dr. Malekan I need to clarify my text regarding my visit with CLOVE DENTAL, Wed. July 29, which was my first visit with them. I was referring to another dentist in Ventura, which I began to see in October 2025 and finally in May I told them I was done!

Fantastic experience: Love them, consistently the best

Fantastic experience: I’m always nervous as a new patient to the dentist. They were very kind and made sure I was comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Clove Dental is AMAZING! From the girls at the front desk to Summer and Dr. Fernando they all made me feel comfortable and the treatment was easy and gentle. I am usually terrified of the dentist, but Clove Dental ensured that I was comfortable so the treatment went smoothly! More than 5 stars, I give them 10

Fantastic experience: My experience at (Clove Dental Hillview) was one of my most excellent experiences at a dentist office This was my first time here the work I had to get done was scary they made me feel at ease and comfortable did not feel any discomfort what so ever very happy with the work They helped me get on a payment plan that helped me get my teeth worked on immediately so happy on that !!! My dentist office for my future teeth work The staff were amazing from the front desk to everyone and everything you guys won’t be disappointed!!!!! ❤️

Fantastic experience: Great service. Very professional. Recommend. Staff was so kind and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Honestly, I was dreading my recent appointment which involved addressing a cavity under a crown on the right upper side of my mouth. I had previously experiences with removing and replacing crowns and they were very uncomfortable. However, I am pleased to say that this procedure was amazingly painless and efficient, and although not pleasant, it was done way better than I could have imagined. My hats off to Dr. Malekan for excellent work.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Had my tooth extracted. Dr. Puri and his crew made it so nice. Felt the universal love and compassion with them. And they have good sense of humor which is nice because tooth extraction in itself is pretty barbaric ha . But it was quick and painless.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful and so appreciated being taking in another at the last minute with my toothache. Very understanding and provided great communication through the whole process. Thank you Clove Dental

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Lovely and kind care team. I was in and out under an hour.

Fantastic experience: New patient. Excellent service and fast. Front desk woman professional and helpful with explaining my payment. I called and got an appointment the very next day. I knew I needed a root canal and I'm very lucky they did x-rays and root canal same day, it only took about an hour. Overall, I'm very pleased and will most likely return.

Fantastic experience: First time patient, the front desk ladies were very warm and welcoming and my dentist was very informative and supportive.

Fantastic experience: Top notch

Fantastic experience: Really like the dentist I will be going back I

Negative experience: In all my 50 years on this planet I’ve been accustomed to finding out a bit of not so bad news of gum recession, to a cavity or on the more extreme side a root canal. But today, I was told I have 10 teeth that are infected and need to be pulled & pretty much that’s it except that he’s sending me to an oral surgeon. Besides the lack of empathy, and maybe even some explanation of the root of how I got to this point!! There was no inquiry into anything about my diet or what I should or need to abstain from eating . I mention I was in pain and nothing was offered or asked if I thought I needed anything to get by especially when the oral doctor is known to be booked out for up to a month. I would’ve thought the doctor would at least ask what my oral hygiene regimen consisted of was & if I was doing anything to keep more teeth from being infected. It blows my mind that my doctor, whom I imagine wanted to be a doctor to help people, when giving a client, in my case the most shocking and biggest health related bad news of my life so far, absolutely no genuine help understanding of how it got this bad so quickly, no inquiry of when my root canals that had no caps were done, no questions to me on what I’ve been doing, and most of all no helpful things I should be doing everyday starting right away. Jeez’s going back to even when I remember being told my gums were receding I remember being given all sorts of questions about what I use product wise, what I consume that might be contributing to my issue then a bunch of recommendations of products that could help along with some dietary changes that could help slow down & possibly turn around the issue at hand. Then most dentists will let you know or give some sort of encouragement that “You’ll be okay, you can still turn things around…..” or something to that effect but here in my case not a single thing at all. Stellar!!!! I got to say your doctor has a real stellar way of dropping the worst health related news of a lifetime and showing no empathy, advice, pain management, game plan timeline outlook, no encouragement and one of the biggest question I had later once I got home was how am I supposed to eat with 10 teeth pulled . Or if I can’t afford implants why would I have 10 teeth pulled and not be able to eat food anymore no explanation if I do nothing thinking I would rather be able to eat what I could expect from that decision or if I did what they recommended what I could expect from that course of action. But nope, I got nothing but more questions and a doctor that could use a real good inward look on why he wanted to be in the field that he is in.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Dr Ighani - got me in same day and did a very thorough evaluation of my tooth pain and had an easy solution that almost immediately took it away and did not try to offer any extra unnecessary interventions, which I am grateful for. She also scheduled me with a specialist the next day in case my pain did not get better - I ended up cancelling because it totally improved in the next 24 hours. Thanks so much for your thorough care and expertise!

Fantastic experience: Good staff. They are very comprehensive, use top of the line x-rays, professional doctor/staff, and provide good recommendations. Thanks!!

Fantastic experience: They were just great. Jessica was my hygienist.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, efficient staff! Very good vibe at this office! I want to say our dentist was Dr. Puri, but I’m not 100% sure. It’s the guy with the perfect eyebrows. He was really kind, explained things well, gave options, and he was gentle. My daughter also had a light cleaning, and her dental hygienist was really nice, and didn’t cause any pain.

Fantastic experience: I’m thankful for their support. I was running late due to my fault. I asked for a 20 minute late arrival with Jess and was granted by the staff members. Dr. Kohanof was so professional with his work. I can tell he is very passionate with his craft and kind to his assistant. Areli was an excellent assistant and did a great job taking impressions. I appreciate their hard work.

Fantastic experience: Great service! Loved my experience

Fantastic experience: I appreciate the staff's understanding of my needs due to prior bad experiences elsewhere, and they did a wonderful job on my cleaning. I would recommend

Negative experience: I had 3 very weird experiences at this office, I would have gone somewhere else but I wanted to get my fillings finished. The first two times I went I saw Dr. Jilbert for fillings. When he asked how I was the hygienist told him I mentioned I was still waking up and he said “I’ll give you something to wake you up” and gave me a very painful numbing shot that I ended up having a reaction to because of the epinephrine. I came back to do the other side a week later and made sure to tell everyone I had a reaction so they ensured me they’d use something else for the numbing. They mentioned Dr. Jilbert was running late and would be there shortly. I sat in the chair for 40 minutes and ended up asking to leave. When I went back again for the fillings I saw Dr. Malekan who was a lot friendlier that Dr. Jilbert and she explained why I had such a bad reaction and what she was using instead. My jaw locked up but she was very helpful and made sure I was feeling ok. However she started the fillings and another patient came in to the room next to me that it seemed like she knew so mid filling she stopped working on me and went over to the other patient. I waited for 20+ minutes while she was catching up with another patient and offered to work on her while I was waiting to finish the fillings when it would have been finished in the time she was speaking to the other patient. It was all very odd and unpleasant. I a will definitely not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Office staff was great, the dental assistant was very helpful and the dentist was very thorough and professional. Very pleased with the service!

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous and scared I was getting a wisdom tooth pulled and two cavities filled. I got to say lovely experience the dentist checked up and made sure I was okay. Inside of hurry up to the next patient. He took his time.

Fantastic experience: I’m ashamed to admit that when I first saw “Now accepting Denti-Cal” I thought I had made a huge mistake. Having experienced Denti-Cal providers in my youth who had done some damage, I was very prejudice. However, I could not be more wrong! Dr. Puri is a USC trained dentist and is the kindness most considerate man. Plus, he has the best staff who are super kind and professional! If you have Denti-Cal, run don’t walk to this dental group!

Fantastic experience: I love this dental office! I have a lot of dental anxiety, and this place makes me feel more relaxed. Best part of all is they don't try to get you to do unnecessary things. All the staff are helpful and kind.

Fantastic experience: Very professional, judgment free zone which was huge for me! Would definitely recommend and keep coming back

Fantastic experience: I’m going to be honest, I was skeptical when I saw my dentist was fresh out of Dental School but between the doctor and her assistant, they did a fantastic job. 10/10 I’ve always had a great experience at the dentist and these folks were no different. The 40 min from SB was totally worth it, would recommend. Good table side manners, attentive, and considerate to my wellbeing. There was a male worker there who I did hear use swear words on the office phone, no biggie, just somewhat unprofessional for a dentists office. It was more so amusing to hear something so out of place hahaha. Still, it was a 5 star experience and I’ll be returning if I’m in the area and I need dental work done.

Fantastic experience: The people in the office were gentle, personable, and thorough. Everything I need from a dentist, assistant, and hygienist. Thanks I'll be back.

Fantastic experience: Very good experience at Clove Dental. The dentist and his assistant were amazing!

Fantastic experience: I had a cavity filled today at Clove Dental. It was painless and the Dr and assistant were super conscientious.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience staff were friendly polite listened to all my concerns made me feel welcome needing full dentures I wasn't embarrassed at all

Fantastic experience: Love this office. Love the staff & the dentist. I have fear going to the dentist. They so great

Fantastic experience: What a GREAT place to get your dental work done! I moved here from out of the area and had to find a new dentist, which was a bit nerve wracking. It’s been a while since I’ve gone to the dentist, so lots of issues. Dr. Huber, Summer and Liz were wonderful - very professional, kind, patient and super good at explaining things and sharing helpful information! I’m SO relieved and my mouth/teeth feel better already. I feel like I have a good dental plan in place moving forward to address the work I need to have done.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best dentist in Ventura! The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly, the hygienist and dentist were very well educated and made the whole experience actually enjoyable. Highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: I have always felt very comfortable n Never any pain!! And the whole team are very cordial w nothing but respect!! This is my most favorite team especially dental I truly enjoy to my appts!! Thanks to all at Clovis hill Dentist!!!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Clove Dental, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and the dental hygienists were both professional and attentive, ensuring I felt comfortable throughout the appointment. The dentist took the time to personally introduce himself and was exceptionally courteous. I'm very pleased to be a patient here and plan to return for all my future dental care needs.

Negative experience: ⚠️I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Dr Jilbert ⚠️ ⚠️ Front desk person was fine, but the Dr and the rest of the staff gave me the feeling of not feeling very comfortable, like not to fully trust them... the Dr came and very quickly check the x-ray and say it needs to be an extraction (i knew i need it a root canal from prior dentist) but he insisted that it has to be extraction and the insurance will only cover that but not the replacement, and he went over on prices and insisted multiple times on doing the extraction right at the moment, and after the girl was done with the cleaning again he came and said I was gonna walk out today with the 1 extraction, I said no and he asked why , I said I wanted on a different day and morning and needed more time ... so his attitude changed he got kinda mad, and I asked for pain medication and antibiotics cuz I had an infection... he only wanna to give me ibuprofen. I said it is not helping. I need something stronger.. so, like in a bad mood, he said he was gonna senditto the pharmacy. And they sent the request to my insurance for the extraction even when I didn't agree on it. So I got the letter from my insurance saying the procedure was denied cuz it needs a different procedure before... So I went to a different place different Dr and already had my root canal and crown. Channel Islands family dental in ventura is the place .

Fantastic experience: Always great service from the staff and doctors. Spends time educating me on my condition and on prevention as well. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Great service and mostly great people! The dr was so great and welcoming and the assistant was amazing. They made everything about my visit comfortable and nice! Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Everyone was wonderful, from the front desk, to the assistant and the dentist! All amazing, kind, gentle, funny and caring! I highly recommend them! Update, second visit was just as amazing as the first! So Gentle and it was the first time I have never felt the shots!

Fantastic experience: Aesthetic and quality work is extremely important to me. I'm so happy to have found an excellent and trustworthy dentist at Hillview Dental on Loma Vista. My recent visits have been nothing but positive. Dr. Puri is not only very skilled, but also interacts with his staff and patients with remarkable kindness and respect. Please see my previous review below from my initial visit. *The timing for a dental emergency couldn't be worse than Dec 23, but Dr Puri made time for me Dec 24. The procedure = extraction (in peices /required bone graft). He calmly and methodically took care of what needed to get done. So relieved to have that over with and look forward to start the restorative process here with my new dentist.
