Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Lubbock from New Jersey and chose Bliss Dental and Orthodontics as a new patient. I had a great experience with Dr. Edwin Peralta. He has an excellent bedside manner and took the time to walk me through my X-rays and clearly explain the entire process, which made me feel informed and comfortable. Maria, the dental assistant, Aria, and really all of the staff were wonderful. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made the visit feel welcoming from start to finish. Dr. Peralta even thanked me for being a new patient, which I really appreciated. As someone new to the area, it was reassuring to find an office I feel confident about. I’m very glad I chose this practice.

Fantastic experience: Best experience I've ever had with a dentist and his assistants. Very professional and understanding. I was in pain because of my wisdom teeth, he handled it amazingly. When he was done , I had no more pain and the dental assistants really help me relax every step of the way. Highly recommend bliss dental.

Negative experience: They were 20 minutes late on my appointment, I wanted a crown glued on and they tried to upsell me on X-rays and then refused to glue on my crown because I didn't agree with them trying to charge for unnecessary procedures

Fantastic experience: I was hesitant on going to the dentist, however the rotten back molar made it impossible to avoid. I'm not on any insurance and had to pay cash. The fee I thought at first was expensive, however after all the intricacies of extraction, work and time invested by Dr. Peralta and his assistant IT WAS WORTH EVERY DOLLAR! let me add that I had virtually now swelling or pain. Great work . I highly recommend! 5

Fantastic experience: I enjoy the Dr. he keeps it real with you. He dosent beat around the bush. The receptionist here are always friendly and knowledgeable! Such a friendly staff I highly recommend this place!

Negative experience: Took over an hour for me to be seen then more than 30 minutes waiting alone in the operating room. Basic cleaning was more of a spot clean than a full cleaning. The people were kind but the structure of operation needs updated.

Fantastic experience: We've been going to Dr Peralta for yrs. His chair-side manner has always been professional & kind. This recent visit I was in pain & he squeezed me into his busy schedule. A root canal had to be done. His staff got insurance approval. Dr Peralta took care of his regular appointments & spent over an hr in between them prepping & working on my problem tooth. He found that my tooth needed microscopic work. He did not charge me! Who does that? He said he couldn't charge me if he couldn't complete the work. He fit me in due to pain, utilized his supplies, office staff help, x-rays taken & his knowledge & experience all are money he's invested in his practice. Next time we wait past our appt. or we think our bill is too high, remember this ethical & kind Dr could be helping you when you need it. Thank you Dr Peralta & your staff. P.S. office is in an old bldg & it is clean & sanitary.

No complaints. I’ve have a wisdom tooth removal that I was terrified of and it went smooth. We are very satisfied and have been patient here for years.

Negative experience: I brought my family here for years but something has changed for the worse. The dentist who seen me was inconsiderate and rude. I will never go back here and hope you don't waste your time and money at this office.

Negative experience: DO NOT COME HERE!! Dr. Peralta is the worst. He didnt even take the time to sit down, greet me or properly discuss anything with me. He seemed rushed & wasn't even in the room with me for a full 5 minutes, he stayed standing the entire time. He quickly looked at my tooth and said it could be something more serious and referred me somewhere else. They didnt even lower my chair back or turn the light on to properly look at it. He couldnt even give me any information on what it could be, instead he just left me worried sick and then walked out the room. What kind of person/doctor does that to someone?? So unprofessional. No compassion whatsoever. Its clear he just wants to collect a check. Avoid this place at all costs!

Negative experience: After checking my insurance site for in-network providers, I called their office to double check and confirmed that they did take my insurance by giving them information directly off of my insurance card. I arrived at the office for my appointment only to be told they actually do not take my insurance, and that they “tried calling” (they did not call me at any point that day according to my call history). Very frustrating and a waste of my time.

The dental staff are knowledgeable, well-trained and great with kids. The dentist has a fantastic bedside manner, tremendous expertise, and very financially reasonable. We appreciate that they accept different types of insurance and out-of-pocket payments. My family has been using Bliss for over a year and we have no plans to leave!

Fantastic experience: Each and every employee goes above and beyond just "doing their job". Dr Peralta and his staff deserve to be recognized for their organization, kindness, attention to even the most minute details. This office displays genuine compassion towards every patient and if I had dental insurance, I would make an appointment. They have helped my mother repeatedly and today they took extra good care of her. They make each patient feel important and actually take the time to listen and explain things clearly. They don't deserve 5 stars; they deserve 500 stars. May God bless each and every employee and patient there. I wish more doctors' offices were like them.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, terrible customer service from front desk staff. Go elsewhere, do not spend your money here. The front desk person Brandon, called me not even 25 min before my appointment requesting insurance information, then proceeds to scold me that if they don't get the insurance information prior to my appointment that the appointment could be delayed to an hour to hour and half wait. There was no form to complete online to upload insurance information nor did the front desk staff call in advance for the insurance information. When I walked in, no one was willing to help, so I walked out.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff very friendly came from Chicago for family and needed a tooth extraction. Very nice and the Dr was nice and made sure I felt no pain what ao ever. On my tooth extraction also was fast in and out I think I was there 20 min and done

Negative experience: If you have dental anxiety I wouldn't recommend this office. They were not rude or mean people however I didn't get what I thought I paid for or any communication on what they didn't do if there was an issue. I'm not sure if they are just nervous/inexperienced around nervous patients or what but I went for a cleaning and my teeth didn't feel any different afterwards and I thought I was being weird but no I looked my teeth literally weren't clean, still had build up that same day so I know it wasn't from after I visited the office. Why was I put through sitting in the chair having my mouth open and stuff for then? I wasn't squirming, I wasn't making them take breaks, I just wanted it done.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved Dr Peralta!! He is very nice and told me I did not need a route canal, which is why I was there. My regular dentist told me I needed one, but they don't do them so I found Bliss Dental. I appreciate his honesty. He could have done anything and told me it was a route canal and I wouldn't have known the difference, and charged me for one! All the staff was great, nice, friendly and proficient at their jobs. They did more X-rays than I have had at any other dentist. They were very thorough. The clinic was nice and clean and aesthetically pleasing. They do all kinds of dental work, unlike my other dentist. I am so glad I found them and plan to make them my home for all my exclusive dental care!

Negative experience: Arrived at 1:40, appt was at 2. Pulled back at 2:35, put in room at 2:45, doctor came in at 3:15. He was in a rush and seemed stressed. Assistant had the utensils so far down my throat I needed to stop because I was crying. Doctor told them that they needed to finish my cleaning and floss. Hygienist came in and only polished my teeth and did flouride. While doing so, she had left the room door open and yelled down the hall for the doctor not to forgot another room. This practice seemed very disorganized and frantic today, although the staff was nice.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy after my first appointment. I now have a plan to care for my dental problems. Dr. Peralta has a very proactive approach in his practice. The staff is competent, efficient and pleasant to work with.

Negative experience: I took my son in for tooth pain because his regular dentist couldn’t get him in tell next week and he’s in a lot of pain. I figured it would be a quick visit just check him out give him antibiotics and maaaaaayyyybe something for the pain but wasn’t expecting any. Well 3 hours later he’s still in pain with NO antibiotics or any pain relief!! My son was in tears the pain was so bad and the dentist literally did nothing to help him. We waited in the room almost an hour and a half before anyone even checked on us and then all the dentist wanted to talk about was a root canal like SIR your not the one who would even do it so why press it so hard. Anyways it was literally a waste of time they did nothing and my son is still in pain till we can see his REAL dentist! It’s dirty in there and they don’t help these poor kids what so ever

Fantastic experience: Dr Peralta and his staff were very polite, efficient and friendly. Dental work is never something we look forward to but when it has to be done it helps when you’re in an environment where you feel respected and safe. It’s nice when the dentist does not shame you for not being a flosser too :) :). There was no dental shaming today and I appreciate that! Wish I had found this office sooner and can’t wait to go back!

Negative experience: Funny you ask…I’m literally still sitting in the room waiting to be seen for appointment that was at 3pm! It’s now 4:45pm and I’ve been told he was doing a root canal and I would be next, to over hearing him ask the nurses where he goes to next and they have told him room 4 and 5…I am in room 2! Those rooms were empty when I was being checked back!!!
