What are the standard requirements for a good dentist: Little to no Pain? Check. Respectful of my time? Absolutely, Check. Both in the waiting room (if I even need to wait) and in the dental chair. One who doesn't recommend MORE than is necessary? Ditto, that. Does he do beautiful work? YES! Just as low-key and easy an office as you'll ever find. And one more thing. The best cheer-leading hygienist you'll ever meet. KF

Fantastic experience: Totally recommend this place. I am pretty phobic about getting dental work done -- both from financial and physical perspectives -- but I was at ease the whole time there. Very informative and transparent when dealing with insurance and fees. Pain-free, no-fear procedure for a deep cleaning and scaling. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Did I mention that I used to *hate* going to the dentist? Everyone I interacted with there was great, especially the lady who cleaned my teeth (Tamera, I think). Addition July 3, 2025: Got my teeth cleaned by Martha and she was great. I had coffee stains between my bottom front teeth that had been there for decades. I had my teeth cleaned and scaled dozens of times in that time and those stains never came off. I thought they were permanent. Them Martha scaled and polished my teeth and now they're gone. Wish I could give six stars.

I have had many other dentists tell me I needed tens of thousands of dollars worth of work done and Dr. Fortner was honest with me and I have had none of it done. His staff is friendly. He doesn’t take very many insurance plans so I bought my own that he is in-network with just so I can go to him.
