Fantastic experience: The staff at Ideal Dental are amazing. They were very kind to me and answered all my questions. They all knew I was very nervous about having my teeth pulled, and they did their best to assure me that everything will be ok. I would recommend them to everyone I know who needs dental work done.

Negative experience: Almost everytime I went in they said I owed approx $135 from the last visit. I finally questioned why that is when my insurance stated the max out of pocket $. Then they removed it for that last visit stating it was recharging me the deductible when i had hit it already. However, this had been going on for about 4 years. The last appt I had, the hygienist repeatedly crammed a large suction tube against my tongue and underneath my tongue causing me to gag. My tongue was so bruised the next day I could barely eat or talk, for about a week ,and the dentist refused to fix a cavity because I gagged 2xs. She acted like I would just let the tooth rot! I'm going to find a new dentist! That dentist had also told me on the previous visit that I needed 3 fillings and 2 crowns. She stated I needed an old crown removed, new filling and replacement crown. But when I went in the last time and stated I hadn't had the money to fix it...it suddenly was ok and didnt need a filling. This was the one she had said previously was the most urgent! I'm thinking of calling an attorney! She also told me I had gum disease starting. Update: I saw other PRIVATE dentist and I don't need any of that work done! I didn't have a single cavity nor do I need crowns or have a badly cracked tooth! And my gums are healthy. If I could give IDEAL a NEGATIVE 100 I would!

Positive experience: Staff and Dr are very detailed for what we want to achieve. From treatments and payments they go over it.

Negative experience: Chain dental offices operations are concerning especially as local to Hutto. Had a scheduled appointment and took time off only to find out there system did not reflect my appointment despite all documentation showing otherwise. Disappointing and unprofessional. Did not accommodate same day despite being at fault.

Negative experience: This clinic does not care about your time. They left me alone in one of the treatment rooms for 45 minutes waiting for the doctor without once checking on me.

Fantastic experience: Hadn’t been for a cleaning in a while and feel as though the dentist and hygienist were both very friendly and made sure to thoroughly clean my teeth! Will be making this my permanent dental office now.

Negative experience: I feel like they only brush some of my teeth, not clean them. It wasn't a good cleaning at all. I did not have a good experience with them.

Fantastic experience: Linda at the front desk is extremely patient. She answers all your questions and does amazing breakdowns of billing. She is very detailed oriented and her follow ups are always on time.

Negative experience: I did not have a good experience at this clinic. From the beginning, there was a lack of organization and excessive waiting times. I felt that the treatment and costs were not clearly explained before the procedure was performed. Additionally, the service was not as friendly as I expected. I would also like to mention that the lady who answers the phone was very rude and unprofessional when responding to my questions. I believe they need to improve their communication with patients and their customer service.

Negative experience: I initially scheduled a cleaning appointment on a Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and Dr. Sahar’s extensive knowledge. She thoroughly examined my condition and promptly addressed all the areas that needed immediate attention. Finally, she finalized my Invisalign treatment, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the results. However, I’m writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with the recent changes to my appointment schedule. Every time i get a call to change my appointment, they either reschedule it for the next week or change my time for the same date. I’m nearing the end of my Invisalign treatment, and now I have to wear the trays for a few more weeks whenever they feel like seeing me, plus there’s the time for the retainers. I’m tired of being inconvenienced and having my schedule constantly changed.

Negative experience: Dentist recommended a cleaning not covered by my dental insurance, when I refused they then said they wouldn't even do the basic cleaning that is covered by insurance. To me that proves they are about making money not caring about their clients.

Positive experience: Updating to 3 stars, as the clinic did reach out later on and waived off the unexpected costs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This clinic is running a scam where they show patients a low cost estimate for the proposed dental services so the patients sign up for it, and then later the clinic sends surprise bills to patients and just say insurance did not cover the expenses. I visited this clinic for the first time for my annual cleaning which is always fully covered by my insurance and in the past I have never paid a dime for it at other dental facilities. My dental insurance is pretty decent as well. Ideal dental showed a detailed estimate to me for the cleaning, showed my share as $50 and asked for upfront payment which I reluctantly agreed to pay (again, never paid anything for an annual cleaning before). Later they sent a bill of $205 (adjusted to $112 later) saying insurance did not cover many things in their estimate and they can't do anything about it! I thought this was a one-off thing, but it was not. Same thing happened with my wife. She also visited them separately for her annual cleaning where they recommended she get a deep cleaning and pay $145 upfront which she did. Later they sent her a large bill for $505! When called they said insurance did not cover some x-rays etc. and they cannot do anything about it! And since then they have continued to hound us daily for payments!! While the dental service itself was fine and the doctor seemed knowledgeable, the billing issue is a dealbreaker. If you want peace of mind, avoid billing surprises, and keep costs under control stay away from this place!

Mr. Linda was very helpful and experienced in her knowledge of ensuring that I was prepped for seeing dental assistant, and dentist great appreciate with getting me in and out. Frank was very professional and appreciated for scheduling of upcoming appointments. Both dentist and assistant communicate all procedures , and work being done while taking care also highly appreciated. This great team is the reason I continue to use this dental office. Excellent service.

Negative experience: I quit them. After being treated very rudely by one dentist, I left specific instructions to never have her again. At me last appointment, they scheduled her, so I left and quit them.

Fantastic experience: Well this place has taken a bit of turn in quality and customer service. I did Invisalign with them 2years ago. I was told then that I would be able to come back in for free if I wasn’t happy with the results. After a few months or so I came back to get the bottom teeth back into Invisalign. They said that my teeth had moved and that I would need to pay $500 to be able to get back into the procedure… this wasn’t disclosed in advance. But I decided to pay it. So, I got the moldings made and left. It took me calling back after 4weeks to be able to get scheduled to come back in to fit the aligners. This is after I called 3 separate times asking about when they thought I would be able to come in. They said they would call me back and never did. I had to call them and ask for a 4th time, before I got an answer “…oh I do see them here in the back… can you come in tomorrow?” … I just don’t think they are very organized here. They may need more staff, I don’t know, but this hasn’t gone smoothly… Update: Linda at the front is so helpful and accommodating. She gave me a discount that I shouldn’t have received and had been a blessing through this whole thing and I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment on a Saturday and out of every office in the area, Ideal Dental was the only one even open on Saturdays. They had appointments available, so I took what I could get. Turns out to be the right choice. Everyone was friendly and professional. The dentist quickly examined the situation, explained what was happening and came up with a plan.

Positive experience: I’ve been going to the same dentist for the last six years but continuously had issues with them. I found myself avoiding my 6 month cleaning because I didn’t want to deal with them anymore. I decided to try Ideal Dental instead since it is closer to me. They were able to get me scheduled for the very next day. And they identified some issues that I fully believe my old dentist missed. Will definitely be going back. I’m giving 4 stars just because I had to wait for, in my opinion, an unusually long time even with x-rays, I found myself sitting idle for multiple periods of time. I’m hoping it was just a fluke. If it was, I will update my score after my next experience.

Negative experience: I booked an emergency appt for severe dental pain. They can't even pull a tooth here it's all cleaning but why take emergencies then. I haven't slept for 2 days waiting for this appt and they had 830am available so I thought I'd try them. This dentist is fine if you are doing whitening or cleanings but otherwise they should tell people they don't handle dental emergencies.

Negative experience: I had a 1pm appointment and they made me wait for 30mins and asked me to reschedule when I inquired about the delay. As per their policy they had cancelled my appointment because I was 17 mins late for an another appointment a few months ago. The receptionists was not even courteous while talking about the delay. And that’s the reason I am posting my concern here.

Negative experience: Let me change this in light of new information. I have two grievances with Ideal Dental and one positive note. The good, is that their office staff is friendly and seems genuinely caring. Now the two bad. The billing is questionable. They filed a claim, the claim has not been fully processed and I am receiving a substantial bill. This claim was submitted more than 3 years before being billed. In contacting them with this bill I have been told once that this was a billing error I can disregard the text and email received, and on two occasions I have been told that I will be contacted by either a third party billing company, or office management. None of those have happened. The other problem is with the dentists that are employed here. I once complained of pain and was then given epinephrine with out being informed of what to expect. I did not have anyone in the room with my after it was administered nor were there an devices to monitor my heart rate. My body tells me that at least one of those things were probably required. I would suggest probably going somewhere else.

Throughout my cleaning he kept making sure I was doing okay, and him and the assistant were both very communicative letting me know everything they were going to do before they did it. If my insurance covered more than 2 cleanings a year I would definitely be here more often!

Negative experience: I latterly poked an appointment at 2:30 PM And when I arrived the outside door was looked and no one in there also there is inside door was open than I waited for 5 minutes and knocked at the door and no one responded then i went to the place right next to it to ask about them when i came the had close the inside door too like if you don’t want me to be here why would you schedule me appointment? You make to leave early from my work and drive an hour away to here to look your door!! I ALSO TRIED TO CALL AND NO ONE ANSWERED

Negative experience: After a terrible experience last summer I finally got the guts up to return hoping they'd repair the mistake they made. (Dental visits cause me great anxiety.) The dentist couldn't see the very visable mistake everyone easily sees. No help. He did suggest I see another Ideal Dentist for her opinion. I'm waiting on a call from another dentist office for another dental visit...hopefully better results will be the outcome. Not a blessing.

He is knowledgeable, concerned about patient comfort during procedures and exams, and compassionate. Hygienist Perla is professional, friendly, cheerful and always does a great job. Linda at the front desk is always efficient and helpful . These folks make a great team and all the staff work hard to provide excellent dental care and are fabulous.

Fantastic experience: Ideal Dental Hutto got me in next day when I cracked a molar. All of the staff, hygienists, and the dentist were friendly, helpful, and efficient. They presented the problem, showed me the treatment recommendations, and also identified options I could accept or decline, were clear and up front about costs, respectful of my time, and they didn’t do any hard sells of unnecessary items. I had switched to a different practice when I had moved farther away for a year, but this experience has me back as a loyal patient. Very happy with this experience (as happy as you can be about a cracked tooth).
