Fantastic experience: The quality of my dental care was stellar. I had a crown replaced and it was painless. I was also able to elect to stay for a longer appointment and the crown was custom made and inserted all in one visit, so I didn’t need to return. Dr. Merola took his time, explained everything and made sure the crown was perfectly fitted. His dental assistant Brenda was also excellent.

Fantastic experience: Merola Dentistry is a great practice. Even before coming in, the automated systems reach out with reminder texts with easy access to confirm or reschedule. Upon arriving, the receptionist always greets me with a smile and lets the care team know I am there. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes. The office runs efficiently and they truly work as a team. They also regularly communicate through emails and texts about offers or openings due to cancellations if you need to see them sooner than scheduled. Billing has been accurate and handled with upfront cost disclosure prior to the appointment and if necessary prior to procedures being started during care. I recommend this practice for your dental care.

That level of care and dedication meant so much to me and immediately told me I was in good hands. Over the years, it’s been wonderful to see how much his office has grown, and it’s easy to understand why. He truly cares about his patients as people. Fantastic experience: This was my second time coming here for a routine cleaning, and once again I had a great experience. The office itself is beautiful I’m obsessed with the white theme and marble flooring. The receptionist is an absolute doll. She’s incredibly sweet and manages the front desk all by herself, which is no easy task. Check-in was smooth, and she was kind and welcoming from start to finish. She truly deserves so much credit. The dental hygienist (I unfortunately didn’t catch her name) was also a sweetheart. She was very kind, reassuring, and took the time to educate me throughout the appointment. I have sensitive gums, and she was so gentle that I didn’t feel a thing. Dr. Merola is friendly, warm, and makes you feel completely comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this office to others. Although they are not in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, it is well worth it. I genuinely love this place!

Fantastic experience: I had my routine cleaning recently. Pam was my Hygienist this time. She was quick but careful when scraping around the gums, and proactive about saliva buildup, providing suction just as I needed it. No complaints from Merola during the exam. Great visit overall.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a chipped front tooth since child hood and have literally had to get it fixed every 2-5 years and it’s always been chunky or off color- generally just never been happy with it .. Dr. Merola killed it, it is a flawless color match and seamless, I can’t even feel where the fake part starts or ends. He’s talented and I highly recommend for something like that

They have been incredibly professional, gentle, and caring. I recently had a tooth extraction and the procedure was done so skillfully that my recovery was smooth and much easier than I expected. I appreciate the thoughtful treatment plan they provided me with and felt fully informed with each step. I understood my options and am confident going forward. I’m very grateful to have found such a wonderful dental team with Dr. Merola at the helm and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality care and a positive experience.

Negative experience: Do not fall for the pleasantries of a nice looking office and polite people. The office by Wegmans not only does not respond to voicemails but also frequently miscommunicates schedule changes fluctuations in insurance as well as over all care. I was recently “diagnosed” with periodontal disease after years of never being told this. I went to Aspen dental for a sore tooth, that Merola didn’t respond to my voicemails about, and Aspen would not give me the same diagnosis, finding this curious I paid out of pocket to go to a third location as a new patient to see what they would say and not to my surprise they measured all 2 and 3 only to have one or two teeth with a 4, no pain no bleeding gums no diagnosis of Periodontal disease. Again nice people beautiful office selling you things you don’t need. I am thankful for their inconsistent scheduling and lack of communication other wise I would be one of these people leaving a 4 or 5 star review. I will be moving my entire family away from Merola Dental I would urge anyone reading this to consider their billing and treatment plans. Good luck

Fantastic experience: I love this place so much! I have so much trust in every employee here! I’ve been with Merola since I was in 8th grade and now I’m 21 and I abide by this dentist so much! They started out at north med until they got their own building. The new building is so comfy cozy love allll the windows in the rooms compared to what they had before! The workers are so caring. So sweet. Do such a wonderful job. My mouth always feels so clean!! They treated my root canal for me! They Make sure you are completely taken care of and if something is wrong they are so quick to take action and figure out a solution!!! Doctor Merola is the smartest and also the kindest and so gentle!! Listens to everything you have to say and never interrupts. I can honestly go on about this place with all the good things I have to say. If you are looking for a safe dentist that will treat you with great care…. Go here. I mean it!!! You won’t be disappointed. I haven’t tried their aesthetics yet but I imagine those are just as well. But dentist wise yes please go here! Such a smart and nice company. The energy and vibes when you come in are so good compared to other places I’ve been. Last thing they are up to date with current technology and have new better treatments for root canals which is so cool. They made my crown look so realistic you can’t even tell there was a root canal done there. Anyway yeah nothing but good great things from this place!!

Fantastic experience: Ilana is AMAZING! My 16-year-old son has been struggling with acne and blackheads for a couple of years. Despite faithfully following his dermatologist’s prescribed cleanser and medication, his skin condition just wasn’t improving. Then we found Ilana. She took the time to do a thorough consultation and recommended the NOON acne kit, which we purchased the same day. But more than that—she gave my son something priceless: hope. At 16, constantly wanting to hide your face is emotionally exhausting. Today, he had his first acne facial and treatment with Ilana, and he’s already loving the instant results—especially seeing those stubborn blackheads gone! We’re beyond grateful for her expertise, her care, and the confidence she’s helping restore in our son. He already has his next appointment scheduled in 4 weeks. Thank you, Ilana—he’s smiling again, and this time, without his hands in front of his face. :-)

Positive experience: If this review were based upon the technicians, hygienists, and dentists, this would be a 5 star review. The BEST technicians, hygienists, and dentists I've come across. The office is very nice and clean which I appreciate. However, I base this review upon the overall experience. Unfortunately, both my spouse and I have experienced billing issues with the billing department at Merola. Examples are not responding to numerous outreaches from the insurance company regarding a claim, and not taking action/steps even though we were reassured they had. Conversations with the billing department could also be handled more professionally - this is based upon feedback from both myself and the insurance company.

Fantastic experience: What an absolutely incredible experience. Dr. Merola and his team are warm, kind, knowledgeable people. They took their time with me today and explained everything step by step. The office is immaculate. Highest recommendation. You need to choose them as your dental care team. I will be returning in six months and can't wait for this experience again.

Negative experience: The technicians are great. The billing department didn't submit the correct paperwork for a claim and 6 months later I am having to hound them to fix the mistake so I can get reimbursed through my insurance for almost 4k. Every time I call I can't talk to the person that handles it and no one ever calls me back. Extremely frustrating.

I have been overjoyed with their professionalism, their thoroughness, expertise, knowledge, skills and overall customer service…. I can’t say enough! Fantastic experience: I loved coming in to have my first facial with Ilana!! She was so great at knowing what my skin needed and took care of all the areas I was worried about. She does an amazing job at making you feel comfortable and taking care of your skin!! For someone that has sensitive skin and tans (sorry!!) she handled my skin with care and left me super hydrated with clearer skin:) And not to mention, the location itself is so clean and pretty inside-you can’t help but feel like you came into a spa! Fantastic experience: I recently had a consult for porcelain Veeners with Dr. Merola and he exceeded my expectations on all levels. He spent SO much time with me and answered all my questions in depth. His approach was so thorough and friendly. His office is BREATHTAKING AND stunning with state of the art technology. Negative experience: As a long time patient I am glad to see that this practice is treating new patients so well. New patients obviously are more important than loyalty to prior patient. Be prepared for up charging now that they have a new beautiful office and mortgage and do not hold your breath waiting to hear from the office manager. She works from home 2 days a week and returns calls no days a week.

Negative experience: This is not a review of the dentist or the dental hygienist. It is a review of the office manager and those who handle insurance claims. I visited Merola Dental Center on May 2 and paid for my services in full ($505) before leaving the office. The claim was then completed by the dentist office and submitted to my insurance. According to the portal for my insurance the dental claim was processed and paid on May 14th to the dental office. It is important to note that this was an error due to the dental office incorrectly completing the insurance forms. Although my insurance company has paid the claim to Merola's office I have not been reimbursed.I have called the dental office several times regarding this. I have asked to speak to the office manager. She has not returned my call. On June 12th the office texted me to tell me that payment from my insurance company was received and when the payment clears the bank, they will send me a check for reimbursement. That was 8 days ago and I have still not received reimbursement. I am very unhappy with the way this office is managed and the way in which this claim was incorrectly handled.

Fantastic experience: Merola Dental is a five-star practice. Every encounter from appointment scheduling, to quoting prices early on to allow time for financial planning, & the teams “bedside” manner. I will never go to another practice again!

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient at Merola Dental Center and the staff are amazing and welcoming. I finally felt that a Dentist office listened to my concerns and then they advised me of a proper plan to alleviate them, down to the importance of each one. I didn’t feel overwhelmed or over saturated with information or opinions, it was a conversation where everything was straightforward and laid out in front of me without feeling any pressure. Honestly, I look forward to giving them my future business because if I need to have any work done, I feel comfortable knowing it will get done right by the right people. Fantastic experience: Every step of the way was explained thoroughly. They were patient and relaxed. While I was in the chair, my comfort level continued to improve. Shortly after the appointment my teeth felt great.

Fantastic experience: Every time I have an appointment the staff is soo professional and courteous. They make every effort to schedule my appointment around my work schedule when possible, Which is 95% of the time. Since this Covid pandemic has been in effect they and every other dentist have been closed but as soon as they felt it was safe to see patients I was emailed immediately and scheduled for an appointment. They’ve taken all the Necessary precautions to insure that my visit was safe. I’m very pleased being a patient of the Merola Family Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Had my first visit and I absolutely love this place! I had some anxiety with dentist visits in the past but the staff here were all kind and eased my nerves a lot. They also were able to get an appointment in for me quickly which says a lot compared to other places I talked to that were months out booked. Highly recommend!
