Fantastic experience: I love this place! They helped my TMJ so much and I am so glad! All the popping and catching of my jaw went away, and now I just come in when I need my retainer adjusted!

Negative experience: I never write reviews, but it’s been a few months since I was last there and I’m still thinking about how terrible and, honestly, weird my experience was. So here we are. First, the retainer. I was repeatedly assured this treatment works for at least 90% of patients. Based on my experience, I wish they were much more transparent about success rates, limitations, and who this treatment is actually appropriate for. I originally went because a coworker recommended them, but after comparing our experiences, we realized we were given essentially the same diagnosis and told the same things despite having completely different symptoms. That was concerning. Multiple times, the assistant would ask me their list of questions, leave the room, and almost immediately the doctor would come in and start adjusting my retainer without asking how I was doing or what had changed. When I questioned this, I was told he’s been doing this so long that he can just look at me and know what needs to be done. ……Okay. Sure. After reading other reviews, apparently this is his go-to explanation with everyone. I’ve worked in healthcare long enough to know that determining treatment by barely acknowledging your patient isn’t exactly a magical sixth sense. It felt more like a convenient way to brush off my questions. Maybe this one-treatment-fits-all approach works for some people, but it didn’t work for me. Then there’s the professionalism… or lack thereof. Most of the staff was friendly enough, but multiple times I was sitting in the waiting/treatment room and could hear the receptionist and/or assistants whispering and talking negatively about patients and Joy, the financial employee. Not exactly reassuring. Speaking of Joy, the financial side was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had in a healthcare office. I understand insurance is complicated and that they need to get paid. The issue is being pressured and shamed into making a financial decision involving thousands of dollars without reasonable time to think about it. Apparently I was supposed to casually drop a few thousand dollars on the spot. My bad for wanting to think about it first. I’m happy they’re capable of making a few-thousand-dollar decision in a matter of minutes. :l And then my retainer literally chipped in the BACK. Since you’re primarily supposed to wear it at night, I’m very glad I didn’t wake up choking on a piece of it. I was told it happened because I was clenching too hard/in the wrong place. Maybe I was, but it raises the obvious question: why is a device intended for people who may clench/grind their teeth not made to withstand normal clenching? I’ve since read many of the negative reviews, and a lot of them are eerily consistent with my experience. There’s also apparently an incentive for 5-star reviews, so I’d personally take those with a grain of salt. If you’re considering this place, read the negative reviews, ask LOTS of questions, and get a second opinion before spending thousands of dollars. Maybe this treatment is life-changing for some people. For me, it felt like paying a lot of money for generic treatment, minimal explanation, a broken retainer, and a whole lot of pressure. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: This is the most relief I’ve ever received for my TMJ! The staff is all very kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. They even think of how to reword questions, like how and when you’re feeling pain, which makes it feel more like they genuinely want to understand what you’ve been experiencing in the past and between appointments and not what you’re experiencing at the moment of the appointment. Highly recommend that if you’ve been suffering to give them a chance. They’re phenomenal!

What I particularly love about Dr. McMullian is his willingness to answer questions and he seems genuinely happy to be asked them. I love that kind of service. His staff take a similar approach and almost deserve medals for their listening skills. The front desk is equally helpful and informative and their is a seamless understated but real comrades that reaches out to patients as a while cohesive team very well.

Fantastic experience: This doctor certainly knows what he is doing. In every visit I've had so far, he has blown me away with his passionate service. You can really tell that he earned his career and truly enjoys what he does. His experience adorns him as an aura around him that you can feel. I went to him for TMJ pain, and he very quickly found the exact issues. He drew up a treatment plan, and even offered some good deals. I could tell from then that his primary concern is my health. He works fast, and I had my appliance no later than a week after my first appointment. I believe I can trust this doctor and his kind, patient-focused staff.

Negative experience: I got referred to this office from my dentist. Called twice but no response. Left a voicemail twice no response.

Fantastic experience: My jaw used to click every time I opened my mouth, would get stuck and be incredibly sore. Prior dentists and orthodontists I had simply weren’t trained how to treat this. This treatment works. My jaw no longer clicks or gets stuck, it has given me so much relief. You have to be consistent in wearing the mouth piece when you sleep, but it’s custom molded and a different design than what other dentists give you - much more comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I had a really good experience here, from the front desk to the doctor himself. Everything was clean, friendly and efficient. I was less than pleased to discover that health insurance essentially covers nothing. (So, we, those suffering, are left to fend for ourselves (pay thousands of dollars, in addition to our health ins premiums.) That being said and with the staff and patients all annoyed with this, they offer discounts, payment plans and as many options as possible to serve the client. It's hardly their fault that our scammy insurance b.s. gets to opt out of everything. This doctor knew exactly what was going on with my right jaw joint, showed me videos and thoroughly explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I also had papers to show my husband, along with the info so it would also be easy at home. I really like and trust the Dr. and I look forward to the relief I expect I will soon get and feel. I have been suffering and struggling with what to eat, if I should just skip it to avoid pain and so on. It has now begin to interfere with my normal life, so this place, and the people are my life preserver and I am grateful. It really hurts and it felt really validating for the doc to immediately know and relate to me, that he understood how much this pain sucks. Empathy and compassion are important, and they provide that. I highly recommend you try this place and see what you can figure out, to stop your jaw pain too!

Negative experience: If I could leave a negative star I would. First off I never leave reviews on anything. But I feel like this will hopefully reach the right person and save someone the future headache and cost of this place. DO NOT go to this doctor. You would be better off putting your thousands of dollars in a fire pit and lighting it on fire. I’m fully convinced no one walks out of here with their jaw problems fixed. Only made worse. In August of 2025 we were unfortunately referred here by our dentist. I’ve now spoken with him about how awful our experience has been. Hopefully he will no longer be referring anyone here. During my daughter’s consultation we were made to feel that in just 12-14 weeks her jaw would be back to normal and all would be well. I can assure you nothing is well. Her jaw pain is no better and to top it off her bite is now completely crooked. I’ve already paid over $6,000 for braces for her. After seeing her orthodontist yesterday there is an extremely high possibility she is going to have to have braces put back on to correct what this doctor has done. So after paying this “TMJ” specialist to fix her jaw he has actually cost us more money in the long run. And from my understanding this isn’t the first time he has run into this issue. These mouth guards he provides do absolutely nothing. Yet every appointment you go to he reassures you that things are improving and only a few more tweaks and you’ll be good. That is far from the truth. When you have trust in a doctor you are hoping they are telling the truth and are helping you. I now trust this man as far as I can throw him. It’s insane you pay around $3200 for this appliance and after 12-14 weeks you’ve reached your allotted appointments covered in this cost. So each additional appointment is over $200 more out of your pocket. Odd insurance hardly ever covers this. The whole process is just concerning to me. I felt that during the consultation appointment and should have went with my gut. So…I am aware I did sign the contract and I did agree to the terms. But looking back I should have went home and thought about it first before I dove in head first. Oddly I felt some sort of pressure to pay and sign right then. So I unfortunately put my trust in that. The office staff of course is friendly and welcoming. But the doctor does not explain things well. And honestly comes off beyond arrogant. It’s interesting all these 5 star reviews. They have been doing monthly give aways in their office if you leave a review “you could win this whole box of goodies”. I’m now beginning to think that’s how they are earning such high ratings on here. Because after my husband spoke to the billing lady today. She said I deal with these phone calls all day. So clearly we are not the only ones being scammed out of money. Anyways do not go to this doctor. Talk to your orthodontist first if you or your child has already been in braces. See if the orthodontist can help you, most orthodontist should with little to no cost. Because if I could go back I never would have committed to this place. Not to mention all the gas money and hours spent driving over an hour to even be seen by this guy. Also lastly they will claim all patients records show improvement and “ happy with their care”. Well I can tell you they came to that conclusion on their own without even asking. Just because the assistant asks a million questions to then have the doctor come in and basically disregard you and “make his tiny tweeks” doesn’t mean you are satisfied with anything.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had TMJ issues (popping, catching, and pain) since 2021 and couldn’t figure out what to do about it. I saw a chiropractor for a year and while he was able to help with other issues, nothing changed with my jaw. I’ve been a patient at TMJ Therapy for about 6 months and while progress has been a little slow, it’s been steady! I can open my mouth wider than I have in years and I have very little pain. Things just keep getting better. So grateful I started coming here!

The doctor does an excellent job of explaining exactly what’s happening in your jaw and what your treatment is going to do for you!! I love them, they’re always super friendly and quick! I have already recommended a few friends to them and they all say the same thing! Would 100% recommend always!

Negative experience: Extremely predatory billing. Treatment didn’t work even though I used the orthotic as instructed every day for a year. Avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: Do not pay a penny to this doctor! Go see a oral & maxillfacial doctor for any jaw issue. I feel like they want your money for no help. This did nothing for my daughter. My daughter, who was 16 at the time, was having jaw pain and her jaw kept locking. After spending over $4000 plus and more that we still owe them for, 3 mouth pieces, visits and other mumbo jumbo she ended up having to have surgery to unlock her jaw by an oral surgeon. Joy the billing lady is very rude and has no compassion. No communication about our bill until almost a year. The car insurance had already paid their amount and she just let it rack up to $7000 before we asked about why we havent been having to pay every visit. This made me furious. So unprofessional. She always talks to you like she's mad and doesn't care. Do not seek service here period.

Positive experience: My experience has been wonderful! The staff is very kind and concerned about my well-being. The doctor is very knowledgeable and is helping my TMJ pain. I am also loving the laser treatments!

Negative experience: This practice required me to sign a long-term contract before fully explaining the nature of my condition or all appropriate treatment options. I was given an oral appliance that never fit properly and did not resolve my symptoms despite multiple visits. When I later raised the possibility of jaw surgery, the doctor became visibly uncomfortable and did not meaningfully discuss it as an option. I have since been evaluated by a specialist and diagnosed with a skeletal jaw problem that requires surgical correction — something an oral appliance could never have fixed. I am now scheduled for jaw surgery this year. I have already paid over $1,000 for an appliance that did not work, and this office is now demanding additional payment for future services I have not received, while threatening to report me to a credit bureau if I do not continue paying. Given that the treatment provided could not address my actual condition, this billing practice feels coercive and deeply inappropriate. Either this condition was not properly evaluated from the beginning, or treatment was knowingly provided that could not address the real problem. I regret trusting this practice and would strongly advise others to seek an independent surgical or orthodontic opinion before signing any contracts here.

Negative experience: TMJ Therapy has absolutely ruined my life. Went in over a year ago because my jaw cracked once really loud and it caused aching and my teeth didn't line up right. I was told by Dr. McMillan that after wearing their orthotic for 3 months I would be cured. My life is now hell. Ever since I started wearing the orthotic I now have nerve pain, headaches daily, vision issues, terrible tinnitus, very painful jaw, constant grinding/cracking/popping, messed up open bite that made it so I couldn't chew, facial muscles all hurt, neck, shoulders and back hurt, constant brain fog, etc. I paid $4,000 to be disabled. Any concern I've had they've blamed me for and said I somehow caused it or just outright ignored it. Dr. McMillan barely examines you, and they'll say that's just because he's so good at his job. Anything you say to the assistant before Dr. McMillan comes in will be disregarded. Any question that deviates what Dr. McMillan is talking about will be tossed aside. I wish I'd never stepped foot in the office. My jaw has been progressively getting worse since their treatment. They said that their records show I was improving because my mouth opening was bigger (when that wasn't ever a concern or problem) despite my complaints every appointment about all the new problems the orthotic caused. I've spent thousands trying to find someone to fix the damage they've done and I am at a loss. I'm in pain every day and a shell of who I was before going to their office. I'm so afraid all the time as this continues to get worse every day. It hurts so much and feels so terrible. I feel so alone. Life doesn't even feel worth living after all this.

Negative experience: ★☆☆☆☆ Avoid this TMJ clinic at all costs – predatory billing, zero results, and runs like a total scam Took my 16-year-old daughter here for severe TMJ pain. After $900 out-of-pocket plus what insurance covered, her pain is exactly the same – no relief, no improvement, no working plan. Just endless mouthguard tweaks and more appointments. Now they’re demanding another $900 and refuse to see her unless I pay $200 cash upfront per visit. Insurance? Irrelevant to them. The whole operation feels like a scam: endless charges, zero accountability, and they hold your kid’s care hostage until you pay more. Joy the billing manager is a nightmare – rude, unhelpful, snaps that “it’s policy". Preys on desperate families. Zero stars if possible. Save your money and sanity – go anywhere else.

Positive experience: My daughter had horrible jaw pain and our dentist recommended we go to Dr McMillan. We’ve been coming regularly for treatment the last five months and it’s been very educational! They’re so kind in the office, Dr McMillan’s experience and knowledge is great and he’s very kind as well. My daughter has been wearing her retainer at night and we’re hopeful that she’ll be entirely out of pain soon.

Fantastic experience: The office staff is friendly, helpful and easy to work with. Dr. McMillan is fantastic! I’ve worked with other TMJ specialists when I was younger and this guy KNOWS HIS STUFF! Highly recommend! My pain came back after 30 years and he has truly worked a miracle! He’s honest too. Be careful of some other TMJ crooks out there.

Fantastic experience: This is a review for my second child with TMJ symptoms. My first child went elsewhere for help and it was really good care. The doctor at TMJ Therapy is Dr. MicMillan. He educated us on things the other doctor didn't which was even better. I can see how others who don't have the education on what this type of treatment costs could be very disheartened. Already knowing what this could cost, it was clear that his prices are reasonable, especially when you understand cost and insurance lack of coverage and they were happy to submit it to our insurance company anyway. We were well informed in the process of healing, how many appointments it could take and that there is a chance that she could be in the two percent that heals differently. So if treatment beyond the time they estimate, you know this and you know you why. Anytime the pain could get worse, we have been informed ahead of time as to how much pain, how long and why. I can understand why others would see the plan as a one size fits all if the consult is misunderstood as an exam appointment. This being a second time/different child needing this treatment, it's probably easier for me to have clearer expectations. But, the education was very thorough at the consult and education has continued to be given at each appointment. As time goes on, I plan on updating this review. Outcome thus far: Each appointment, my daughter has had improvement shown through how she feels, through the exam by assistants with their feedback, and adjustments to the retainer with explanation provided by the doctor and questions asked by us. He shares why the adjustment is either made to the fins or to the rest of the retainer. He educates on how the scar tissue healing. He educates on which of three ligaments are healing on each side. He inspects the retainer for wear and educates on why that is important. This is very similar to what my son experienced at the different provider and the care provided by the doctor and staff so far is excellent.

Fantastic experience: After meeting with a regular dentist that wouldn’t listen to what I was saying and wanted to jump straight to a root canal, it was nice to meet with a doctor that paid attention, answered all my questions, and was able to explain the strange facial pain I was experiencing.

Fantastic experience: Dr. McMillian has always taken good care of me. TMJ headaches can be really debilitating. Years ago he fitted me with a nighttime appliance that was a game changer. Periodically because of dental work or surgery I’ll go back in for an adjustment & it always does the trick. Grateful for this office!

Fantastic experience: I had jaw pain for years and I tried everything from physical therapy to medication to botox and nothing worked until I got recommended TMJ Therapy and within less than 5 weeks I have little to no pain and I am just continuing to get better each week. I cannot recommend this place enough please please consider getting a referral here, they do amazing work!

Negative experience: I started TMJ treatment with Dr. McMillan in the beginning of November 2024. I was told my treatment should take 12 weeks. However, I had to continue treatment up until I moved in May 2025. My TMJ, that I did 16+ extra weeks of treatment for, has not improved at all since I went to Dr. McMillan for treatment back in November. I cannot wear the retainer at night anymore because when I bite down, it causes my jaw to be pushed further out of place. I had addressed this concern to Dr. McMillan at the last few appointments, and he always responded with "it's fine like that for now," so I continued to wear it. Every appointment ended up being the same. I had one appointment in March where he made an adjustment, and said it would take 30-60 days, then I would have one more adjustment after that that would be six months. I came back 57 days later, my jaw still exactly the same as before I even started treatment here in November, and had my last appointment in May. This was supposed to be my last adjustment that was supposed to take six months, but at this appointment, it felt like a repeat of the last appointment in March where he told me 30-60 days again, and I told him how my jaw goes out of place when I bite down and I can't open it back up without popping it into place, and he replied again with "it's fine for now". He also told me at every appointment to push my bottom jaw forward and over in the mornings to put it into place and I always told him that it would not work and I had to push my jaw backward and over to pop it into place. Each appointment was like deja vu. I never missed a night of wearing it, and always followed the treatment plan despite my concerns. I feel like I wasted thousands of dollars along with 7 months of my time. Although I have moved, I would not have continued treatment with Dr. McMillan if I were still in Utah. After 7 months of zero improvement for something that was supposed to take 3 months, there is a time to draw the line. Dr. McMillan and his office staff were always very kind, but the TMJ treatment was the worst I could have asked for.

Negative experience: Recommended to come here by my dentist. The office is clean, has music in waiting room, and has pretty current technology. The parking lot is very steep, so I would be careful in slippery conditions. The staff is friendly, personable, and remembers who you are. As other commenters have mentioned, the cost is a large amount, and insurance does not usually cover that amount. There are payment plans. Reflecting back on my experience, Dr. McMillan did not perform what I would consider to be a full exam. The assistants to the doctor performed a thorough examination based on a checklist. When the doctor came in, he looked almost entirely at the paper, and did not examine my actual jaw. There was a scan (pictured below) taken that he looked at very briefly, and he stated that confirmed my diagnosis. I am not a healthcare professional. However, my reassurance in the company, doctor, and process was lessened by the lack of a physical examination by the doctor. That lack of attentiveness felt overconfident. I stopped appointments fall of last year, and the clicking in my jaw and difficulty chewing I that I experienced at that time has not improved. While my first impression was that I was healing, I do not think that the case now, and rather attribute my satisfaction to the friendly staff, as well as a hope that my hour-long drive there and hour-long drive back was worth it. My original review was 5 stars. I completed that original review upon an incentive offered by the office. While I do not think this was malicious or manipulative in any way, the staff did ask to see my review prior to giving the incentive. All of this to say, the doctor and staff are exemplary at ensuring comfortability (in particular, the individuals that take you back to an exam room and do the check-ins). I’m sure their blanket style of treatment with a general examination can be successful for a significant amount of patients, but that was not the case for me. My jaw continues to click, aches, and now has begun to hurt on my other side as well. My investment—finances and time—made into getting well were not very visible or long-lasting. With the aforementioned factors, I will not be revisiting TMJ Therapy of American Fork. I would not recommend visiting here with the understanding that the doctor will treat you as an individual, rather than just another patient. I am sure he works well for other cases, but for me, I am very much the same as I was prior to treatment.

Fantastic experience: Great progress in 2 weeks with my TMJ. no clicking and can tell jaw feels more stable and a lil more aligned properly. More work to do but feels better for sure.

Fantastic experience: When I came to the clinic, I had a significant case of TMJ as well as frequent migraines. Everyone I met here was so kind and the treatment has been very helpful. I am much better now and expect to keep getting better.

Fantastic experience: I had been living with jaw pain for a few years now and my dentist wasn’t able to provide relief. I finally asked for a referral to a TMJ specialist and I was told to call TMJ Therapy. I am so grateful I did. They were able to see me quickly and during the consult the dentist was able to describe what was wrong and what he could do to fix it. I am now pain free, can eat normal again, and don’t have to make decisions based on how much it will cause my jaw to hurt. I would recommend TMJ Therapy to anyone suffering from TMJ! It’s been amazing be finally be pain free.

Fantastic experience: Dr. McMillan is one of the absolute most sweetest providers I’ve ever seen. Right off the bat you can tell he truly cares about what he does and cares even more about his patients. His communication is top notch and is always eager to answer any questions and crack jokes. His staff is equally amazing and will always greet you with a friendly and comforting smile. I walked in with my jaw barely able to open and walked out of my final appt with my jaw feeling amazing and fully functional. I 100% recommend this place!

Negative experience: I had TMJ Treatment at this place 5 years ago. Only now am I willing to try treatment again because this first experience was so horrible I just decided I would rather live with the pain. I never felt like I was listened to and I feel like my pain actually got worse not better. The only good part of this experience was the massages. I honestly hate leaving bad reviews and I have never actually left a bad review before but I really feel like people should be aware of what they are getting into. Research your options before going in for TMJ therapy. There are so many people that claim to be "specialists" then do absolutely nothing to help even though you are charged thousands of dollars (Not to mention the absolute battle my parents had to fight to get the insurance to cover even a part of it after the clinic said they would help get it covered. Bull crap). Do your research and seek treatment here at your own risk.

Positive experience: I'm currently on appointment 5, and was told it would likely take about 14 weeks to fix my TMJ. So far, it's so great! I used to get lock jaw a bunch and my jaw would pop any time I opened more than an inch, but now I'm only popping when I yawn too big. The pain is significantly less than when I began. The night guard had some getting used to, but I expected that. Everyone there is so nice. They always have availabilities that work with my schedule. The wait time is usually 5 minutes or less. The only downside is that it's pretty pricey, at least for me. If I remember correctly, it was nearly $4000. For me, it's worth it if it totally fixes my TMJ, because before I was taking pain medication and also going to physical therapy every week, which cost $80 each visit, and it was only a bandaid solution. This seems to be the real deal, and I can't wait to find out if it actually is! UPDATE (MAY 14): Things are going so well! He says I'm healing well and there's only a little scar tissue left. I only have clicking when I yawn really hard.

Fantastic experience: My jaw was in pain every day. It would pop with every movement and occasionally get locked up. Since I have come here and been using my mouth guard, it just keeps improving. Dr. McMillan has been excellent at educating me and making the adjustments to help heal my jaw. All the staff take great care of you every step of the way. It has been so worth it and it feels great to not have the daily pain with my jaw.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful and amazing results! We have been here for our son and my wife. They both have been cured. Dr. McMillan is so knowledgeable and takes his time to explain everything and answer our questions. He and his staff even stayed after hours to help us when we had a time conflict. I HIGHLY recommend him for TMJ treatment!

Negative experience: Joy made me deeply uncomfortable. I came in with my small baby covered in a car seat and she uninvited came over and pulled down the cover to look at my baby. I also can’t believe I paid $150 to have nothing done whatsoever and told that I would have to pay $4000 to get treatment. I think that’s actually insane. It should be made clear when you schedule that they don’t take insurance and that they don’t help you whatsoever in the first appointment. Also they told me my insurance probably wouldn’t cover the cpt codes but my insurance does cover them however dr McMillan isn’t even in network which would’ve been the more honest thing for them to say!!

Fantastic experience: TMJ Therapy worked for my teenage daughter. Chewing too much hurt. Opening her mouth wide required her to pop her jaw (painfully) on one side. It had gone on for several months. Dentist couldn't help and referred us to TMJ Therapy. We had the consultation with the videos and demonstration. The total cost was over 3K. I admit being worried signing the contract. I was worried that all they gave her was a lower retainer. I was worried because after two or three weeks, there wasn't any improvement. I was worried after 4 or 5 weeks because her jaw was still popping. Then after the 4th visit, her jaw actually looked more normal. She could eat chewy foods. There was no more popping and she could open her mouth wide. The change was incredible. I am a fan of Dr. McMillan. He obviously is very experienced and knows his stuff. He's always been able to answer every question I've had. He worked wonders. Thank you for taking my daughter's pain away.

Fantastic experience: My experience was excellent. There was little waiting time. The assistant was very thorough in discussing my jaw issue. She showed me 2 short videos that showed me a healthy working jaw and a hurt jaw working with my condition. The doctor then came in, understanding my condition and addressed it. They were able to make the appliance very quickly so I could be on my way to healing.

Negative experience: Dr Mcmullin unlocked my jaw after I committed to getting braces. My jaw started locking up as soon as my braces came off and my teeth no longer line up how they should. It’s now about 15 years later and I jaw constantly cracks and pops, (like I have rocks in my head) and I have headaches and jaw pain. If I had known the braces were not the answer I would’ve have ever gotten them. Actually I feel I’m worse off now than I would have been if I have never gotten braces. I honestly don’t know what the answer is.

Fantastic experience: They helped my jaw so much! The doctor explains everything in detail so you know what’s going on. I was one of the worst cases but healed up smoothly and on schedule.

Positive experience: My jaw started popping when I got my wisdom teeth out. It started getting worse over the years until sometimes I would have a sharp pain when chewing, constant popping, and pain in the morning when I open my jaw after sleeping. I didn’t think anyone could actually help so I put off having it looked at for years. I was referred to Dr. McMillan by my chiropractor. The doctor was not shocked by my condition and I was relieved that he didn’t recommend surgery. He made a custom mouth guard for me to wear at night and I noticed immediate improvement after the first appointment. Each appointment he adjusts the mouthpiece so that it will allow the tendons to heal. For the next couple months it was harder to tell improvement in my jaw pain and bite but little by little it got better until I can bite well and I almost forgot I had pain before. I recommend getting treatment if you’ve been putting it off like me. It’s not that bad at all.

Fantastic experience: I loved going to this place. We had been searching for somewhere to get my jaw checked out. And we finally found this doctor's office, and they were amazing, they explained everything to me, and they made sure that I understood what was going on, and what the process was going to be and made sure that I wasn't nervous at all they also made sure that they weren't causing me any pain or anything like that. And all the stretches that helped my jaw for it a little bit, did not hurt even a little. I highly recommend going to this doctor's office.

I have been being tested for my jaw problems and they always seem to know exactly what is happening and how to fix my treatment plan for better results. They also have been so great with my payment plan. So patient and willing to be flexible with me!

Fantastic experience: I originally visited an ENT for ringing in my ears and never would have guessed it was TMJ-related. I was referred to TMJ Therapy and, although the process felt a bit unusual at first—with minimal exam or consultation before recommending a custom mouthpiece—I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! The results were incredible and far quicker than I anticipated. The mouthpiece has been far more comfortable than I expected and has resolved my issues almost entirely. I’ve even shared my experience with my aunt, who lives in another state and has been struggling with TMJ issues. Unlike her, who has to wear both upper and lower guards 24/7, I only needed to wear mine at night, and my healing has been much faster. If you’re dealing with TMJ-related problems, I highly recommend giving TMJ Therapy a try!
