Negative experience: Called and provided my insurance information to verify I was in network. They checked and scheduled my appointment for 2 months out. When I showed up to my appointment 2 months later they then notified me I wasn’t in network. What a waste of time! So unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tadano is a great dentist. Unbelievably caring, and thorough. Her staff is equally as great. Both hygienists I’ve seen, Candy and Courtney, are gentle, caring and friendly. Going to Dr. Tadano, the hygienists and her office is always a very positive experience.

Fantastic experience: This is a great office! I was visiting my son from NY and lost 2 front crowns. I called their office one minute before they closed at 7 PM and they had me in at 8:30 the next morning and spent two hours with me doing a really fantastic job of getting some temporary teeth on me. Janie , the assistant was fantastic And Dr. Kellen was super nice. I should mention that I was a dentist for 40 years and I really appreciate the calm, soothing attitude of this Office, the cleanliness and the treatment that they performed. All top notch!!

Negative experience: The front desk gave me incorrect insurance info. The initial assessment took 1 hr 20 minutes. They created a treatment plan that was excessive, esp for someone with no history of problems. When I saw the dentist, she took one look in my mouth and said she saw the problem - which was not even in the area of pain. The whole experience felt like I was being sold something.

Positive experience: Dentist was awesome. Went in with a tender tooth with an old metal filling that I expected to need to be taken out and have a root canal and a crown. After x-rays and examination, the dentist said everything looked healthy and that I probably just bruised it. YAY! After feeling like I had been to used car salesmen for dentists for years, I finally found someone who didn't want to upsell me on everything! I'm really sensitive, so my cleaning was a bit rough, that's the only reason this isn't a 5 star. Otherwise, great place, felt very comfortable and everyone is very nice!

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Gental Dental in Carlsbad. I have a condition where I am taking a strong blood thinner. This was my first time at Gental Dental so they assumed I would want a thorough examination including xrays and cleaning. I explained to Dental Assistant A J my condition and how I didn't want anything done that might cause my gums to bleed as it could be difficult to stop the bleeding. I also told him what I needed was to replace a filling that had fallen out. He listened carefully and said he understood and went for a dentist. Dr. Jason came in and I explained my concerns to him. He also listened carefully, took a look at the tooth in question and said he could help me. Dr. Jason and A J took care of the problem quickly without causing me to bleed and without the need for novicaine. I was thrilled with their work and very grateful for their concern and understanding of my condition. I, hopefully, will be going down to a weaker dose of blood thinner in January and will then go see them for an examination and cleaning. I give them five
