Fantastic experience: I found Dr Peters to have a great bedside manner. He was very pleasant and thorough and his staff were friendly. I've already recommended a friend to him.

Positive experience: I can’t really say to much yet. Only been there one time . They just did X-rays. But people are friendly.

Negative experience: The service was amazing, the staff is very friendly & helpful. I had my first appointment where the dentist took my x-rays & examined my teeth. I was told to come back for the cleaning but that appointment is scheduled until August, that’s in 2 months! I let the receptionist know that I’m completely open to the earliest appointment. I was recommended this place by my parents. My dad who is already a patient recently scheduled an appointment & they were able to give it to him that same week. So if this dentist office only prioritizes existing patients, not new ones then they should let us know.

Fantastic experience: This dental office was recommended by a friend. I was a new patient here and came for X-rays and an exam so I could get a dental clearance for an upcoming elective medical procedure. It had been a while since I’ve been to the dentist because I get really nervous about going, but it was a very good experience. First impression- the place is meticulously clean and the staff friendly and efficient. My X-rays and measurements were done by the dental hygienist, Heidi, and then I met with the dentist. I really appreciated how they took time to explain their findings and recommendations. All my questions were answered patiently and we developed a treatment plan I feel good about. I had a deep cleaning done yesterday by the hygienist, Heidi, who is nothing short of amazing. I can’t believe what a difference this procedure has already made! One of my old silver fillings has failed and I’m scheduled to have that done by Dr. Peters next week. Surprisingly, I don’t feel as nervous about that as I had anticipated I would. It is a relief to have found a dentist and hygienist I trust and feel comfortable with.

Fantastic experience: This updates my review for Dr. Peters from several years ago: he's still my go-to dentist even though I live away from SoCal. My whole family uses him, and he's been great for the whole range of procedures, from basic check-ups to even a recent root canal. Luckily, I haven't had to do anything major recently, but I may need a couple implants soon and I wouldn't think of having anybody else do them. In addition to his professionalism and expertise, his rates are very reasonable, and he offers terms, which can be helpful for more extensive services. Previous review (ca. 2017) Although I live in the Bay Area, I "save up" my dentist visits for when I'm in Southern California; Dr. Peters is that good. I've used him for checkups, fillings, basically everything. He is friendly, enthusiastic, and makes sure that you have a comfortable experience. Dr. Peters is a fantastic dentist and I recommend him highly. As an aside to this review, I am somewhat astonished by the negatives reviews for Dr. Peters here. They mostly seem to be from people with a personal bone to pick or are unrelated to his dentistry skills and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: Was able to get in within 1 week for a non emergency. Staff was friendly. Had x rays and got a detailed list with cost for my dental plan. Will be going g back to get the work done.

Negative experience: Sadly, I had a terrible experience..not really sure what I was a patient did wrong,. I was told to find another dentist , Dr Peter's apparently doesn't like when patients speak up when being choked by the over abundant amount of goop being put in the impression tray. I didn't do anything wrong, I just asked if maybe the Dr or someone else could do the easy procedure I've had done plenty of times and never been gagged by a huge size glop of the stuff falling in my throat. I didn't yell, cuss, or say anything disrespectful. Yet, because I said something, I was told he couldn't fix my partial, I needed to find another dentist. And that's it. I'm still in shock!

OMG the staff, the nurses and the Dentist took the emberssing out and replaced it with me knowing I will have a nice smile again. He also has his own discount dental plan that's awesome. Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for Dr Peters! He extracted a molar and the procedure was quicker and easier than I was expecting. After a good amount of healing time, Dr. Peters did an implant and I have just finished and have a new tooth. The whole procedure from extraction to new tooth took about one year. I am so happy with my results and will recommend Dr. Peters to my friends. PS- He also has nice staff.

Dr. Scott Peters is freakin amazing. I was super scared of going to another dentist office after Western Dental, & so when I got referred to Dr. Scott Peters, yeah I was scared & I wasn’t sure if I could trust him, but man does that man do a great job. Fantastic experience: Dr.Scott Peters, DDS-for Reiko Fujimoto-I’m posting for my Mom’s experience at Dr. Peters’ office. I found hiss office staff welcoming, competent, and friendly. His dental hygienist/assistant team is as lovely as well. They were efficient, and well versed in protocol. I loved that they were mindful of hygienic protocol, using wipes-for non-porous surfaces, wiping down the counters, and x-ray machine buttons on the side wall. Once sanitized those x ray machine bottoms were covered to protect from contamination. Everyone wore masks-while this doesn’t seem like a big thing to some-it’s huge for me. My Mom’s in her 80’s and she’s fragile (in my opinion), in terms of her constitution. I don’t want anyone around her while she’s under going dental work with her unmasked-To be not using masks themselves. His staff are following CA guidelines, and have their own protocols in place as well. All of the surfaces that the doctor and techs touch are covered in plastic-it’s a setting I liked. Dr, Peters is kind, personable, and welcoming. He’s a second generation dentist, and it shows. I have a mode of comparison, and can say that his office setting is user friendly to himself and staff-he has labels on his shelves, (for outgoing work, to incoming expected work-it’s tidily organized), and cabinets in his inner office-(I was there to translate due to a language barrier my Mother has), so there was plenty of time to take a peak. His inner office has a back door use for safety-providing safe egress. He has a great functioning office-that speaks of efficiency hacks that speak from experience-I thought his x-ray buttons-(their locations), as genius-his equipment is state of the art-I’ve seen plenty over the years-his office’s functionality is just amazing. You can tell it’s a working office, and by all the working efficiency hacks that I saw, I knew my Mom was in very good hands. My Mom is also a very loyal customer-and went to Dr. Peter’s when his office was in Carlsbad-when she went in, she couldn’t eat-her bottom tooth had broken and it cut into her tongue-it cut and hurt her-I briefly explained and Dr. Scott quickly shaved it down to a point it no-longer cut her, and made it able for her to once again eat solid food. We arranged for impressions for a crown-the crown was placed on the second visit, his efficiency speaks volumes in the way he worked. My Mother is resting comfortably now, and I’m truly thankful for his attention to detail. I loved his office-the decor is lively and airy-functional-hand sanitizer at every door. Thank you Dr. Scott and Miss Ynes for working on her today! You can see his office is just off the 78E-you can see it from the freeway-just look for the blue Sherman Williams paint sign-it’s the driveway just past that. Exit at Emerald, take a left over the overpass, and another left freeway adjacent.

Negative experience: The woman next to me was crying and saying how incompetent the dentist was. I thought she was a Karen. Then doc drilled into my tooth for a root canal and gave up, said he couldn't do it and threw in a temporary filling and referred me to a specialist. Annoyed because that's what I was recommended to him for specifically. Walked out very upset, not getting the work done I needed. Now I get to wait another however long to get the actual surgery done. When I asked if all his patients left crying and disappointed, he responded, batting for a thousand.... nice customer service dude.

Fantastic experience: My visit at Dr Peter’s office today was very pleasant. I checked in and filled out all of the forms just in time to be called back to where my total dental exam was performed. The exam went well and certainly was complete. Dr Peters read the results and put me on track for a new smile and replacement of some missing teeth. The total cost will be much less than expected. I can’t wait to get started !
