Fantastic experience: (Using my partners account to make this review) After months and hundreds of calls, I finally came access Dr. Peggy’s Dental in Oceanside who was able to finish my treatment due to having a complex tooth. Here Dr. Ruff was able to finish the treatment and was so incredibly kind and made me feel reassured. Everyone who works here is so kind and welcoming. It’s a 45 minute drive from where I live and really worth it!

Negative experience: All of my fillings are extremely gritty, my bite is off, and the crown is the grittiest and most unnatural-looking nub I’ve ever seen in someone’s mouth.

Through my insurance I was able to find dr Peggy, finally decided to get a consultation and safe to say I feel so encouraged to smile confidently. She explained to me how she did her best to be conservative of my tooth structure while adding to it. Her team was very helpful throughout my treatment and made me feel comfortable with every visit. I feel very comfortable and cared for as a patient. They also make it very easy to schedule and make it very clear to navigate through dental insurance. Dr. Peggy is an amazing doctor and I am always excited to step in to her office, see her, and have her work on my teeth. I admire her most for her attention to detail and her kindness. Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Dr. Peggy and her team enough! My mother had struggled for years with her past dentures, which caused her lots of trouble and pain when eating and even malnutrition. After a family member recommended Dr. Peggy, we decided to go for dental implants. Dr. Peggy placed four implants on the upper arch and two on the lower, and the results have been life-changing. Now my mom can eat comfortably and smile with confidence. The care and professionalism at Dr. Peggy’s office are outstanding, and the implant costs were very fair. We are incredibly grateful for the improvement in her quality of life!

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Dr Peggy’s for a few crowns and I was truly impressed by their cutting edge technology. They provide same day crowns, so I had no need for a temporary restoration, and everything was completed within about half an hour. It’s incredibly convenient and efficient. Plus they work with all insurance providers, which is fantastic. Special thanks to everyone for helping me with every step from making my first appointment to getting my same day crowns. Fantastic experience: amazing staff! i have bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist and here at Dr.Peggys i feel well taken care of without feeling judged. X-rays are quick and being able to see them on the screen is a plus to see what’s going on with my teeth. i’ll be returning shortly for my dental work!

Negative experience: Found an infection, told me they were going to give me antibiotics, never did and won't answer the phone or return my calls after several voicemails, biased place.

Finding a provider who accepts Medi-Cal and Denti-Cal for my child’s root canal was tough, but Dr. Peggy was highly recommended. The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art microscopes and technology, ensuring top-notch care. Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at this dental office with Dr. Peggy Ram. I came in for a scheduled appointment and after x-rays, Dr. Ram told me I needed a root canal. I clearly stated that I declined the root canal and wanted an extraction instead. I was the last patient of the day and sat there for two hours before being seen for barely five minutes. The entire visit felt rushed, and after my appointment, I could even hear the staff cheering that they got out early. While my concerns were left unresolved. Weeks later, I got a call saying my insurance approved a root canal and multiple fillings which were procedures I declined in the office when asking to schedule the extraction. It took multiple follow-ups to finally get my records, and when I did, they were inaccurate, included conversations that never happened, and they still refuse to give me the part of my records showing exactly what was submitted to my insurance on my behalf. I am deeply concerned about the ethics in this office, the backpedaling when confronted about inconsistencies, and the office manager's comment that this is a "high-volume office" which makes it seem like they are more focused on pumping patients through quickly than actually caring about accuracy, communication, or consent. Because of all this, I have filed a formal complaint with the California Dental Board. The lack of professionalism, the refusal to provide full, accurate records, and the dismissive attitude have left me with zero confidence in this office. If you come here, make sure you get everything in writing and double-check your records, because my experience was completely unacceptable. Unfortunately it sounds like the office manager is just the messenger in all of this, which is a major reflection of how unprofessional and unethical the Dentist, Dr. Peggy Ram is. I would honestly go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I am 43 years old and not once have I had a good experience at the dentist. I never go unless I have an emergency and when I do go I generally panic to a point that I’m too embarrassed to go back. My teeth are awful and embarrassing. Today I came to Dr. Peggy and holy cow. It wasn’t so bad! She and her staff are so, so kind. She takes time to talk to you and just thinks about the extras like grabbing a blanket for me. For the first time ever I can say I will be back. Thank you so much

Negative experience: My initial visit to Dr. Peggy was in November 2024 for upper and lower dentures. Following over 15 subsequent visits, the dentures consistently failed to fit properly. As of August 2025, I have received the dentures, but they still do not fit correctly. Dr. Peggy has employed adhesive to enhance the fit; however, properly fitted dentures should not necessitate adhesive. Without adhesive, the dentures will not remain in place. After nine months and multiple appointments, I remain dissatisfied with the dentures and have requested a refund. Dr. Peggy also utilized my Medi-Cal insurance, and I paid an additional $1500 on my credit card. The quality of the dentures is not satisfactory. Dr Peggy has denied my request for a refund.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Peggy has the magic touch! I was dreading today’s appt, bcuz, I had to have crowns on 2 of my back molars replaced, & you know what a process that is—1st the gunk in your mouth to make 2 molds (one for the permanent crowns, one for the temporary ones); 3. get temps put in; 3. make appt for fitting the permanent crowns; 4. sit for new crowns and hope they fit correctly & the dentist doesn’t have to spend too much time sanding down high spots. But, guess what! I walked out of there TODAY with 2 AI created crowns, PERMANENT ones! That was just the finishing touch after she cleaned up the mess hiding beneath the old crowns. Besides all that, Dr. Peggy is a gem. She is smart, kind, and she educates her dental assistants/associates, who make up for a great team, in a nurturing and non-critical way. It’s like a family…a happy one! Finally, the office, itself is classy and comfortable as heck. I always feel like I should be sipping champagne while I wait my turn. Lol

Negative experience: Look elsewhere for sure! I just got a molar root canal here was feeling fine before but after the root canal had an infection. I came in 3 more times to have them check on it as I was having increasingly worse symptoms (sinus infection turned into double pink eye) as time went on and they kept saying looks fine after making me wait over 1 hour to see the dentist all times but one. Went to another dentist and they found right away they missed a root. Wasted my time and money and everything felt so rushed. Beware: They are way over booked leading to long wait times and very poor patient care definitely prioritizing money and quantity over quality.

Negative experience: Came in a couple times for some cleanings and filings. One of the teeth they had put a filing on became super sensitive after the operation, when it had zero pain beforehand. When I expressed this concern to them they completely dismissed me. On another occasion, they kept trying to work on me before my mouth was completely numbed. I kept asking for more anesthetic because I kept feeling pain. Each time after administering the shots, they would leave the room for around 15 minutes. They must've given me around 12 shots in total before sending me home and telling me to try again another day. It was a huge waste of time. I had to suffer through the painful ordeal for no reason. Worst of all is the fact that they failed to inform me of the severity of my teeth. I had been told in the past that I may need a root canal in addition to several fillings. On my last trip to their dental office, I brought these concerns up to them, but when they came back with the x-rays, they pretty much said my teeth were perfect and sent me home with a "good job". I've dealt with cavities and toothaches my whole life, so I was naive to have believed them then. A year later my toothaches had became significantly worse. I visited another dentist, and they were able to point out my issue within seconds. I got the root canal I needed within a few days. It only took 3 shots to numb me and I was out of there in less than an hour without any kind of pain. Long story short, avoid this dentist at all costs. They are incompetent and don't care about you or your problems. If I had stayed with them, I would have lost my teeth forever. Take care of your health and stay far far away.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE CARE, NEGLECTFUL AND LEFT IN PAIN. UPDATE… As you may read the owner’s review… they did not respond to my actual complaints. Instead, Blaming my insurance coverage for the lack of care. Dr. Ram misdiagnosed and referred me to a specialist, which confirmed Dr. Ram was inaccurate 100%. You should have accepted responsibility for your actions versus making up lame excuses. My insurance with pre-authorization have approved every procedure you allegedly claimed I needed, which are not now questionable. If you disabled go to DMV and apply for disabled parking placard. ———————————————————————— Dr.Peggy Ram DDS is more concerned about her image and parking her vehicle in disabled space front of her practice than a patient’s care. I spend more time in the waiting room versus receiving actual care. Dr. Ram has spent about 5 to 7 minutes each visit leaving each time in pain. Maybe my dental insurance coverage warrant for me to receive proper care. I would not selected one star for neglectful or lack of care from Dr. Ram. I would NOT recommend anyone to her office.

Fantastic experience: The entire team at Dr. Peggys are wonderful! The ladies at the front are friendly and professional and take care of business! Techs are friendly and thorough! Both Dr. Peggy and her colleagues are exceptional, knowledgeable and take the time to go over issues and treatments with you. Gave me some hope back after years of back and forth dental issues at another place in Vista. I am thankful I found them! :)

Fantastic experience: A true Super dentist in San Diego North County. Great work and goes above and beyond to make sure of your dental health. I always get Appointments when I need and she is very kind, thoughtful and friendly and great at what she does.

Negative experience: I’ve been here about three times now, the most recent I needed a routine root canal. I was burned on my lip by Dr Peggy, I think if I didn’t say anything she wasn’t even going to acknowledge that she just burned me. I had to ask multiple times what just happened. “My warm thing brushed your lip” I corrected her and said your HOT tool (that she just called a torch) burned me. Then she said well that is what happens when you don’t open your mouth wide enough? I had a mouth block in my mouth keeping my mouth open. I said “oh so it’s my fault?” And nothing. At the end of the procedure she shows me a picture of my burned lip and tells me to keep it moisturized. I am just very disappointed and do not feel comfortable coming here anymore. I think if she was kinder about the whole situation I probably wouldn’t feel so sour right now. I trusted your practice to work on my mouth and I leave with a burned lip and not even the littlest bit of acknowledgement or apology from the doctor.
