Negative experience: I feel like Dr. Gowda is unethical and over charges for dental work that is NOT needed. She insists on unnecessary dental work for profit and revenue. She’s completely in it for the money over patients well being. She yells at her staff constantly and has horrible bed side manners. She can’t keep her employees and every time I’m in there, it’s new staff. That’s a red flag. I left Dr. Gowda with her telling me I needed a root canal and switched dentists who completely disagreed with her assessment and said the tooth would be on a watch but a root canal is invasive and NOT needed. Would not go here.

Fantastic experience: I had been to three dentists who had very different evaluations and treatment plans (for the same mouth). I wanted another opinion, and after a recommendation from a trusted friend, I saw Dr. Gowda based on my friend's positive experience of her skills and her dedication to doing the right thing. After a thorough evaluation, she had a few recommendations. She then did something that is unusual - commented on and showed me each issue, and most important, she gave me an assessment of what needed to be addressed right away, what could wait, and what could be observed. Behind the smile, I saw an unusually intelligent, experienced and caring professional who can be trusted.

Fantastic experience: I found Dr. Gowda years ago when her practice was just starting. She was a highly skilled, thoughtful, kind, caring dentist and was someone I willingly drove from Bremerton (about 2hr drive one way) to see for years. Then I moved to Denver and began using a dental hygienist school for my cleanings. Thankfully, they had not suggested I needed other dental work. My partner had his dentist retire and sell his practice. On his first visit to the new dentist he was told he needed $10k of work. I immediately knew what to do. I suggested we fly up to Seattle, rent a car and visit someone that is trustworthy. We did. We are both so glad we made the journey. Perfect Smiles is still there and Dr. Gowda hasn’t changed a bit, still honest, thoughtful, kind, caring and ethically/morally responsible. Thanks Dr Gowda, I am thinking you will be seeing me again.

Fantastic experience: When I was looking for a dentist I had some musts. “A woman, and must have a Registered Dental Hygienist” I am also a dentist, so I would know excellent dentistry. I found this practice and can’t recommend it higher! Their hygienist is experienced, professional excellent and gentle. She’s been in practice several years. Dr.Gouda is such a professional. Her work is excellent (I would know!!). She has hi standards of care which is what I was looking for. If you’re looking for a similar practice, this is it!!

Negative experience: Do not go here. Dr Gowda is EXTREMELY rude. We go to dentist for their help, professional opinion, but here you get exact opposite. The front desk lady was extremely nice and helpful. But Dr Gowda is trash. Condescending, rude, and obviously doesn't care about her patients. Took my teeth then proceeds to tell me they were fine and didn't need to be pulled. Took impressions AFTER removing teeth. Said "my time is my money" after asking questions about my procedure. Said I need to be a half hour early, because my 15 min early wasn't good enough. She ripped 3 teeth out in about 5 minutes. How good does that seem? Do not go here. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Gowda is truly amazing at what she does! I use to hide my smile and never show my teeth. I’ve always wanted a perfect smile and Dr. Gowda has given me that! She gave me confidence to smile. She was always honest with me which I loved. I needed lots of patience with the procedures I needed but at the end it was all worth it. Positive experience: I’ve had a very positive experience here so far from the receptionist to the hygienist and dentist. Everyone is knowledgeable and offers helpful advice regarding dental care, gums, and post-surgery recovery. One important thing to note is their cancellation policy: it’s quite strict, though understandable. However, in my case, I had just given birth and was physically unable to attend my appointment as scheduled, yet I was still charged a cancellation fee. It would be great if there were more flexibility for genuine emergencies.

The dentist was super professional and didn’t try to sell me stuff I didn’t need. Front desk was friendly and easy to work with on insurance. Office was really clean and comfy too. Negative experience: Completely wasted my time. I'm a stage 4 cancer patient that needs dental work done. I made it very clear from the start I needed insurance to cover it and that I had issues with transportation. They looked up my insurance and assured me that my insurance covers everything I need. Then proceeded to set an appointment just to tell me my insurance doesn't cover anything. They ate up the few weeks I had free to complete the work. Do not trust them they are scammers who will lie just to get you in the door.

I had some pretty in depth work such as wisdom teeth removal, bridges, crowns, and even a root canal. The professionalism starts right at the front door and everyone makes sure to take great care of your dental health and overall wellbeing. They walk you through optional plans and make sure you understand everything regarding your teeth/gums/and anything else dental related. Fantastic experience: I moved in this locality (snohomish) a year ago and since then looking for a decent dentist. After an extensive research, my search ended when I met Dr. Kavitha Gowda a month ago for a dental check up. She was very accommodating for my first emergency dental visit, knowledgable, gentle and very calm. Since then, I have done 2 deep cleaning session and completed a cavity filling today. As this was my first dental filling, I was scared and anxious about the dental procedure. But I would like to thank entire team now, as her entire team is amazing. Fantastic experience: A few weeks ago, I had a cavity that needed treatment. It was actually my first. I'm never someone who enjoys going to the dentist and was worried about it. I told my sister and she recommended Dr. Gowda. After I scheduled an appointment and went in, it was a great experience. She was kind, professional and understanding of my concerns. The cavity was treated quickly and with minimal inconvenience. If anyone is looking for a dentist, I could not recommend Dr. Gowda enough.

Negative experience: I went to this dentist a few years ago and had a few cavities fixed and one crown. Since then, almost all their work had failed. There was a gap left between the crown and another tooth which now I am having to get both teeth fixed. The cavities that were fixed have all failed from UNDERNEATH them. Not to mention, they insisted I need a crown on a back tooth but when I went to another dentist who has fixed the other ones from them previously, they told me it was an easy fix, a filling and no crown needed! I honestly have never had a fillling fail so quickly either. SMH

Positive experience: I had to cancel my dental cleaning twice ( which is free with my insurance) due to having my 3 year old grandson with me because he was sick. And then I was sick. And now they want me to pay them for canceling my appointments because of illness why? that’s not fair because they weren’t doing anything important but a cleaning. And I don’t think I should be charged. For it also when I was there for an appointment right after Covid there was a tech there that was not wearing gloves and touching my partial which I think they should have been wearing gloves no matter what.

Positive experience: I’m with them since last year and they were doing pretty decent. This year it’s been kinda tricky the way they are proceeding. I got their plan for 2 cleaning for free a year and some other stuff. They did the first one on December but the next one in February when I was not supposed to have it until March (every 3 months) Then, they made me go for a supposed filling but when one of them take a look to my teeth they said I don’t have any and apologize to make me go for nothing. They return the out of pocket I paid when I arrived. Now, for a reason the reminders for my cleaning start going to my junk and I didn’t received a message as a reminder 48hrs before the appointment. I called them, they didn’t pick up and now I have to pay for the reschedule. I explained to them the problem. It’s part of my responsibility for a reminder but it’s still being really hard to talk with them. When I called the person who picked up was kinda rude when I tried to explain her. My boyfriend was next to me and listen to her and said she was rude. I have to pay for them reschedule my appointment but who give me back the work hours I cancelled to go to an appointment for doing nothing. Weird as an out of pocket client.

Fantastic experience: She is amazing! The insurance they offer is worth it as a new customer. Only $299 per year and it covers so much. They were fast and the office was super clean.

Negative experience: Dr. Gowda is really nice, and so are most of the staff. However my biggest complaint is they are almost never on time with appointments. So if you’re on a time crunch prepare for it to be longer than you expect. I had set up a cleaning appointment at the previous appointment about 4 weeks beforehand, only to show up wait an hour, and be told I have to schedule again in a week or two. Because they need pre authorization for insurance, but if that’s the case why not tell someone that ahead of time (for example my prior appointment 4 weeks ago). All in all, don’t really feel like a valued customer since they don’t value my time only maximizing their money.

Fantastic experience: I have been going there just a short time. One thing I can tell you is they are the one of the most compassionate dentistry. The staff are wonderful. The whole experience has been great.I would highly recommend them to you if you need dental work!.

Negative experience: The first time I went, the main dentist made up a story to try up-selling me retainers based on what she said was me grinding my teeth at night - which I know for a fact is incorrect. As she was talking, I remember reflecting on how I INTENTIONALLY grinded bits of the teeth in question down while I was wide awake. They smoothed over in the past 12 years since I INTENTIONALLY grinded them down one particular week over a decade ago. But she was was talking so confidently and with so much momentum, I knew she wouldn't hear me if I'd objected to her incorrect diagnosis as a teeth grinder. When the lady at the desk ringing me out brought up the retainers, she immediately began the hustle to up-sale me the retainers. I guess she thought I was automatically going to spend $500 just because some lady tried telling me I grind my teeth a few minutes previous. Listen here . . . she put a document on the table for me to sign because I was "refusing to buy a retainer", which I didn't sign. I asked for a copy though, so I wouldn't mistaken the incident for a bad dream. I took care of that issue, and the lady apologized after a few days of me calling back as I slowly recovered from shock and the anger settled in. Oh, and also, instead of just letting me get my teeth cleaned once while my dentist was on vacation, they had to hustle me into a yearly plan, which caused me to miss visiting my regular polite, easy-to-be-around dentist, Dr. Dang. I don't like the hustling going on at Perfect Smiles. I also really expressed not wanting my teeth poked with that gumline measuring tool, but they assumed that they'd get me in as a frequent regular, so they hurt me and took measurements anyways, regardless of me saying I have a real dentist whose just on vacation at the moment. On the second visit they punished the heck out of me with that second cleaning they coerced me to sign up for (as part of the unnecessary 1 year prepaid dental plan). They grind down the enamel near the lining of your gums on which "creeping coverage" occurs - which has obviously receded now. Creeping coverage is important because it seals and protects the dentin under the gumline and allows the gum to "grab" the tooth. They treated it similar to a fingernail cuticle, even though fingernail cuticles grow back; gum tissue doesn't. When she flossed me, OUCH. I swear they were punishing me for being assertive against them trying to unnecessarily up-sale me during my first visit. I wasn't trying to be toxicly masculine when I defended myself against being cheated. I was simply making sure they didn't do it to any of the vulnerable non-English speakers that made up the majority of the clients that I saw in their lobby.

Fantastic experience: From Shellie, to the Dr.’s assistants, and of course to Dr. Gowda, all I can say is thank you! It’s not easy for me to get any dental work done, but all of you make me feel so comfortable! Dr. Gowda is AMAZING, if you’re looking for a dentist, call Perfect Smiles Dentistry, you will not regret it!

I put off going to the dentist for too long and now have to get a good amount of work done. I am kicking myself for not finding this office sooner! Everyone is so kind and informative. Fantastic experience: Dr. Gowda and her entire staff are pleasant to work with. My son is always comfortable (he's 9) and they check in with him and explain what they're doing to him. I'd highly recommend this dental office, they're fabulous!

Fantastic experience: Great experience all around. Very covid safe with all the proper precautions. Staff was friendly, kind and professional. My doctor had excellent bedside manor. When scraping my plaque I almost felt nothing of the tool. It's a awesome place for dental work especially for military vetreans like myself.

Positive experience: I am initially giving 4 stars for a first visit. They really do care about their customers here. There was a little confusion with the charges explanation. If they smooth out the bureacracy of explaining every charge for the service, I would give them 5 stars. Basically the charging process felt more like I was negotiating with a mechanic, rather than just clearly providing me a price for great dental service. This really is a small complaint. I recommend these folks highly.

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I’ve ever been to the dentist and was actually treated like a human being without judgement. I have very intense anxiety and fear of the dentist which has caused me to not go for years. The team took amazing care of me and set up a step by step plan to get the health of my teeth back with very clear communication and the utmost compassion. I’ve always left the dentist in tears until today. I’ve never looked forward to getting my teeth looked at, but I look forward to working with this doctor!

Negative experience: THIS IS VERY GROSS AND DISTURBING! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING THIS REVIEW AND POSTING ATTENTION WHEN SETTING DR. GOWDA! so I'm posting under a family members profile as I'm unsure yet what I'm going to do about this issue or if we'll continue seeing Dr. Gowda due to this very disgusting bad habit I've seen her and her employees do! I'm torn as she is very informative, nice and seems to know what she's talking about but the issue i found yesterday is probably enough to make me find a new dentist! I saw Dr. Gowda yesterday and have really been contemplating leaving this review. I noticed that she put on gloves when she came in for my appointment but then went from working in my mouth to using the keyboard and mouse back to my mouth with the same gloves The more I think about this the more it bothers me, badly! This is a o unhygienic and down right disgusting, especially in the age of covid! This right here is enough for me to take myself and my children else where. I would think hygiene would be at the top of her list since your made to wash your hands right when you walk in which is great but then she does somthing so gross and it really makes me wonder how much bacteria and germs are all over the mouse and keyboard?! YUK! Keep an eye out for this as your basically missing everyone that she sees when she dies this and im pretty sure this is a regular practice unfortunately!

Positive experience: Needed a new dentist so I checked reviews on perfect smiles dentistry. Read some reviews about how they were just after money. That concerned me a little but they had many good reviews so I decided to give them a try. I went in for a cleaning, everything was nice. Staff was professional and dentist seemed very nice so no issues. Then I made another appointment for a procedure and at the last minute I had to go out of state.When I returned I called and apologized and wanted to set up another appointment to do the procedure I missed. They told me their would be a $75 charge for missing my appointment. I told them that was fine it was expected. Then they wanted to charge me another $75 to secure another appointment. I’m 53 with three kids. Been to a lot of dental appointments in my life but never have I been charged a fee to secure an appointment. In my mind the money hungry dentist reviews was true so I changed dentist. After all I don’t mind paying missed appointment fees but a fee to secure another appointment was to much.

Fantastic experience: I’m new to the area and was looking to establish care with a dentist and get a cleaning. I was able to quickly make an appointment here, which was great. The staff members are friendly and knowledgeable - I even left with a restaurant recommendation! I appreciated the time the dentist spent with me and felt she genuinely cared. Fantastic experience: I am 80 years old so you can imagine that I have seen many dentist during my lifetime especially I have moved from Hawaii, to Germany, to California, to Utah and now Seattle where I have been for the last 32 years. Until I became a patient of Dr. Gowda's dentistry where I became a patient of Dr. Patel, dentist appointments have always been a stressful experience except that when I am in the gentle hands of Dr. Patel I am able to relax and enjoy the experience. I repeat. If Dr. Patel is not working on your teeth I greatly admonish you to switch!
