Fantastic experience: Dr Jensen at St Paul Dental Center is great. He is an excellent practitioner, takes time to explain procedures and has a gentle manner. The entire staff is very friendly and competent.

I am getting implants and going to the dentist is an emotional experience for me but in this office you feel welcome and understood.

Negative experience: If you love out-of-state like Wi or. license or address you have to pay cash even if you have insurance that they provide... Just a heads up if so you don't waste your day

Fantastic experience: I LOVE THIS DENTAL OFFICE. I have been coming here for more than 20 years, and I have never been disappointed. Very professional, and friendly staff too!

Negative experience: Dr. Cannon is a fantastic dentist. However, the office manager, Brooke, is very rude. She talks down to people. They don't verify benefits at all before billing you. They have flat rates, which Brooke says is "standard, no dental office checks benefits first." I pointed out that Dr. Cannon's previous office did, and since I've recently switched I can say my new office does. Even though I, myself, verified my benefits i still had to pay approximately twice what insurance said I would owe and wait about two months to be reimbursed. Brooke also wrongly billed a claim for my 11 year old son. My husband called to get that straightened out, after looking at the issue and our benefits. Rather than just fix it, Brooke argued about "most insurances..." Of course, I don't care about how most insurances work. I care about how my insurance works. Not once has Brooke ever made dealing with the billing part of dental work at this office easy. She's billed the incorrect teeth at times, causing further work to be denied. Never is there an apology, just some sort of argument about "most insurance" or, about how the lazy billing policies at the office are totally in line with how every dental office works (wrong). Most every problem we've encountered has been medical billing 101. I am a woman who pays my bills, and I appreciate some amount of respect. Not something the office manager is capable of. Dr. Cannon, really great dude. The rest of the staff, all quite nice. After spending this year with an office that operates like an office should, I'm not sad to no longer have the stress of seeing repeated incorrect bills and wait for checks in the mail where you all have borrowed my money for 2-3 months at a stretch ( interest free), and then I have to scrutinize several months of billing for my entire family. I am paid to be an accountant--I don't want to do my job for free for your office so Brooke doesn't have to work at work. And I certainly don't want to have to argue with the world's snottiest office manager. Further, I was charged a late fee for not bringing my son when he had strep throat. Granted, i didn't cancel in their preferred window, but most people are just like well, we're really sorry your son is sick and we're glad you're not making us sick too with your communicable disease. Not Brooke! 70 bucks before you can reschedule. Truly absurd. As an update: they're currently taking the maximum time they can to transfer out my records to my new dentist. I'm sure they're scrutinizing everything they can to try to find some reason, a penny somewhere, why they shouldn't do it. :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with St Paul Dental Center for a few years now and the front desk staff has always been very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Dr. Cannon is my dentist he has done great work on my teeth, from bonding and fillings to providing recommendations on my upcoming implant. The hygienists are also very welcoming and kind. I know I’ll be coming here for many more years. I highly recommend this dental clinic!

Fantastic experience: Superb care by truly professional and caring folks. The dentists are very experienced and capable, the hygenists are thorough and to an individual dedicated to the work, the front desk and billing folk are very helpful and patient.

Negative experience: I typically don't write online reviews, as I prefer to keep to myself, but I feel compelled to share my experience. This dental office is clean, well-organized, and has friendly staff. However, I was surprised to learn they will terminate your service after missing five appointments. While I always made an effort to cancel or reschedule ahead of time, I missed one appointment due to a family member being hospitalized. Despite this, I was charged a $50 late fee without prior notice or consideration of my situation. To make matters worse, I was terminated for 'no shows' based on inaccurate information. I've never been notified of a late fee for the dates they claim I missed, and I was recently told that they implemented a new late fee policy for missed or canceled appointments in August 2024, again without any prior notice to this change.

Fantastic experience: Katie was very helpful, understanding and great at her job. When my procedure went over our allotted time the team was able to accommodate me and let katie finish the procedure saving me another trip back which i am so thankful for.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for the best dental care in the Twin Cities with the most caring employees, this is it. I’ve had a number of procedures done here, ranging from simple cavities, root canals, and even an emergency molar removal and implant. I’ve been treated by both Dr. Sass and Dr. Jensen and have had an incredible experience with both of them. They always explain what they are doing and why – and never fail to make me laugh while doing it! I have full trust going here and have always had an awesome experience. I don’t think you’ll find better dental care elsewhere. Take it from me and my extensive hours spent in the dental chair!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to the St Paul Dental Center. I was welcomed the moment I arrived. The office is clean, organized, and clearly well run. The intake was fast. The dentist came in and was very welcoming. He explained what he was doing and checking for. He was very welcoming. Then it was time for my cleaning. The cleaning was thorough and professional. I never was worried and I felt comfortable and confident throughout the visit. They validated my parking (indoor parking under the office) and I was on my way. I've found my new dentist office.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr Peter Cannon for decades and he has always gone above and beyond in my dental care. I’ve been so happy since he joined St Paul Dental - from the professionalism of the staff to the convenience of the validated unground parking downtown everything about the experience is 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Over the last 20 years I have had 7 implants. The first 3 were by 2 different dentists in Florida. One of these failed with in weeks and had to be redone by another Dr. The next two also done In FL were okay, but just so so. My last 4 have been done by Dr Trowbridge. His work was much more comfortable and competent. I travel 75 miles for appoints with him. He is the best.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to St paul Dental Center all of my adult life. Love the care I get from my hygienist. The Dentists are great, but I am fortunate to have overall good teeth/gum health that I don't spend as much time with the Dentist as I do the hygienist! Love the free indoor parking (winter time even more)! Worth the switch or if looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cannon is calm and personable and puts me at ease immediately. My regular checkups are pleasant and thorough and he did a root canal that was virtually painless . All of the hygienists and front desk folks are friendly and efficient. I've had three urgent issues and they've gotten me in within 30 minutes each time. I once had an acute neurological issue that mimicked a dental problem (with stabbing pain in my mouth). Dr. Cannon dropped everything to get me an urgent referral to a head and neck neurologist. I was impressed and very grateful that he cared enough to go above and beyond to help me when I was in great distress.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to St. Paul Dental Center since I relocated here in 2018. It is in a very convenient location near my office, and the staff and Dr. Sass are always awesome. I have never had an issue getting emergency appointments, and I have had all kinds of work done, from implants to crowns! Billings are easy and always accurate. Could not think of a better place to go!

Fantastic experience: Since moving to St Paul Dental with Dr. Sass three years ago right before pandemic we have a total new experience and care. It’s not just a service here to get in and out but it’s a total care relationship. Dr Sass and his team proves that they care for the well being and shows great attention to details. All my children enjoy their time at the dentist and have a a new transformed relationship with taking care of their teeth. Meghan is the best dental assistant. I had a bad tooth. I called two other dentist. They said they couldn’t get me in until September & January. St. Paul Dental Center got me in right away. If you need a dentist. Call them right away.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to St. Paul Dental for several years and have had amazing experiences with all of the doctors, from Dr. Lingle (now retired) to Dr. Trowbridge and Dr. Sass. They are kind, dedicated and diligent, and I never feel rushed. I have had many crowns and the end product is outstanding. The hygienists, assistants, and office staff are highly skilled and helpful (Anastasia, Becky, Brook... too many names to remember). It took me a long time to find a new dentist after having been seen by a family of doctors who retired. It was well worth the exhaustive search to find this amazing clinic!

Fantastic experience: Updated 7.8.24 This March, 2024, I had an emergency crown repair and was treated excellently by Dr. Jensen. I have also been helped greatly by Brooke, the clinic's office manager, with my insurance claims. Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to St. Paul dental center for a couple years now since relocating to the twin cities, and I can’t say that I’ve ever been to a better dental center in my life! The staff is always helpful and polite, and the doctors really rock at their job! I’ve had quite a bit of extensive work done here, including 6+ crowns and they truly look amazing and natural! I’m also really sensitive to pain and can say that I’ve never felt a thing, the take the necessary steps to make sure you’re comfortable the whole way through!

Fantastic experience: Went for my first cleaning appointment as a new patient. Dr. Pete and his assistant Megan were amazing! They explained everything as it was being done, Dr. Pete even gave me some over the counter suggestions for my teeth sensitivity. Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to St. Paul Dental center since I was a kid. They’re so wonderful that even after moving to Minneapolis later in life, I still come here for dental care. The staff/team are professional, kind and patient. They care so much about their patients and it’s obvious with every interaction. I have always had full confidence in their recommendations and work. They take the time you need to ensure you don’t have lingering questions and are prepared and comfortable with what they’ve said/recommended. My hygienist is retiring and although I will miss her, after almost 40 years as a patient, it’s hard to imagine going elsewhere and having confidence of receiving the same level of care so I’ll be staying!

Fantastic experience: I went to the St. Paul Dental Center in 2017 when I lived near St. Paul. Now, even though I live in the West End of St. Louis Park, I still make the drive to St. Paul Dental Center because I really like the service and care I receive there. Dr. Sass and Dr. Jensen are excellent, and Chris, the hygienist, and Becca at the front desk are fantastic. I've been to other dentists before, but I keep going back to St. Paul Dental Center because they prioritize preserving your teeth and exploring the latest trends in dentistry instead of just removing them. They also have a modern facility with advanced equipment to handle everything in-house. In my opinion, they are the best dental practice in the Twin Cities.

Fantastic experience: This practice is generational. My grandmother went here, my mother goes here, and I have gone to this dentistry since I was 4 years old!! NEVER HAD A CAVITY. I sincerely love this place and the staff. I can’t think of going to any other dentist at this point. I am so thankful for the work they do.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cannon has been my go-to guy for over 25 years. 10 crowns and 2 root canals later and I can report with credibility that he is the best. Always cool, calm and collected which allays any nerves. The new clinic and partnership suits his top-notch skills and demeanor. I can only assume that the other dentists in the clinic are equally great. The BBs at the reception desk are terrific too.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at St. Paul Dental for years, after being referred by my retiring dentist. Dr. Lingle, now retired, and Dr.Trowbridge, my current doctor, have been amazing. From regular checkups to implants, I have never felt any pain and have never had a reason to question their treatment plans. I recently got to sit in Dr. Jensen’s chair, and he also amazed me with his perseverance and skills! All of the staff are friendly and welcoming and the medical assistants seem to anticipate the doctors needs so no time is wasted. The downtown location is easily accessible and parking is free and staff are always there to help you. St. Paul Dental is truly a 5 star Dental Office.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I started going to the St Paul Dental Center after not having been to a dentist in over 15 years. We are very pleased with the care we have received. We both needed a lot of work done and have had multiple visits. Everyone at this clinic is friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't feel shamed for not going to the dentist for so long. The front desk staff are also kind and helpful. Overall, it has been a good experience, and I would recommend them.

Dr. Trowbridge not only has excellent dental skills but is engaging and reassuring when things are uncomfortable. He is responsive to patients discomfort during procedures and clearly explains procedures. The whole office staff is friendly and supportive. The dental hygienist was fantastic and my teeth have honestly never felt cleaner. Parking was easy (and free) right below the office.

Six-month cleanings I call "Chris Care." Every procedure, from an X-ray to an implant, is described clearly and questions are encouraged. For the finest dental health care I am glad and grateful.

Fantastic experience: I always had bad dentist visits until I started coming to this location. My dentist fixed my tooth up with a great root canal procedure and the infection is 99 percent gone thanks to him and his assistant! The staff at the desk are super nice and patient, too! I am really happy to have found this location that makes me feel welcomed and cared for!

Fantastic experience: I was told by my OLD dentist my broken tooth needed to be pulled, I had a friend tell me to get a 2nd opinion and I am sure glad I did. The old tooth did not hurt and there was enough of the old tooth left that Dr. Jensen was able to prepare it and put on a temporary cap, and in 2 weeks I will get a crown. My first appointment was on Friday and on the following Monday I had a cap. Super fast and the professionalism was amazing. My old dentist, who I liked, was going to pull the old one and said I would have to leave a gap, chew on the other side or get an implant. I 'm sorry but I'm not going back. St. Paul Dental will be my Dentist now! Thank You. A++++ Rating

Fantastic experience: Years ago, I came in the first time for wisdom tooth pain. I can’t recall the doctor you helped me but it was smooth and easy. Luckily I was in and out within 30-45 min. Later on, I inquired about dental crowns. Dr. Jensen and the assistant were great. They walked me thru the process and I feel really satisfied with the results. I felt really comfortable throughout it all. I’ll be sure to keep going to them for all my dental needs.

I moved to Minneapolis and still continue to drive to St. Paul Dental as their staff is so expert at what they do whether you need a cleaning, a cavity treated, a root canal (I hope not!) or implants. I have had them all! I won't go anywhere else. Give them a go.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Dr. Cannon for the past 2 or so years, and my experiences have always been fantastic. I never have to wait long in the waiting room nor for seeing the hygenist Jess or Dr. Canon. They are both very professional, and I highly recommend them and the St. Paul Dental Center. Fortunately, I live close to their office, but if I didn't, I'd gladly drive there from anywhere in the Twin Cities area.

Today, I went to St. Paul Dental Center for wisdom tooth extraction surgery and I got very friendly services their and Dr. Ryan Sass has done the surgery and after surgery I was feeling normal. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Saint Paul Dental for 4 years now & I always get the best service! The staff is amazing from the receptionists, to the dentists and everyone in between! I first went there for an abscess on a tooth & they were able to get me in immediately and took great care of me. I’ve been going there ever since. They are a very family oriented team and they make you feel right at home with them. I recommend their office to everyone who asks if I know any good dental places. They truly are the best at what they do & I highly recommend them for any and all dental services you may need!

Fantastic experience: My dentist, Dr. John Burnham, retired and sold his practice to these folks. I have been amazed at the high level of care I receive there. Just had a crown today, and the amazing technology they used for the temporary made the experience a whole lot more pleasant than I expected. I have been seen by Drs. Sass and Jensen, and they are both first-rate. All the hygienists and assistants are friendly and professional, also. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the St. Paul Dental Center was very friendly and helpful! I visited recently as a new patient and the staff was warm and inviting. They even helped me to look up insurance information I wasn't sure about. For a downtown office I was a bit nervous about parking, but to my surprise, it was super easy to park and navigate to the dental office. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and am looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: I truly hate the dentist. However, my experience with Saint Paul Dental Center has been awesome. I see Dr. Jensen who is a sharp young guy who is great at what he does. Him and his team of assistants have made me feel at home during every appointment. Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience (which is saying a lot because, well, it’s the dentist). Great staff, warm and helpful! My hygienist was so sweet, easy to talk to, and gave me some good tips on taking my teeth care to the next level. Cleaning was done well and my dentist is always kind, even when I have cavities. Which I did this past visit. Thankful to have great teeth care, esp when I return for those fillings!

Fantastic experience: I have been a long time customer of St. Paul Dental Center. I can wholeheartedly say that the staff is top notch. They are not only professional but personable as well, which for me, is so important. The convenience of the heated parking ramp, compliments of them, to the warmth of the office environment is a bonus. I wouldn't consider anywhere else for my dental needs!

Fantastic experience: My least favorite activity is going to the dentist. Dr Sass & his team make the experience all the more tolerable. Everyone I have ever interacted has been warm & personable. Fantastic experience: After a doozy of an experience at Metro Dental in Saint Paul, I decided to give St. Paul Dental Center a shot. I've always been met with a friendly greeting (usually by name) by the people at the front desk. I came in with quite a bit of work that needed to be done, and they got right to work. Dr. Jensen does an awesome job creating a comfortable environment, which is pretty important for someone with high anxiety, like myself. Fantastic experience: Had a good experience! They tried hard to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. I had fillings done a week ago. I went back today to have my bottom wisdom teeth removed. The doctor did great and made sure I had medication for the pain. Thank you for your commitment to your customers!

Fantastic experience: Each time I step into St. Paul Dental Center’s lobby I am warmly greeted! I always have the same hygienist who is so kind and remembers things I tell her. Dr. Jensen is amicable and makes you feel seen and like you’re not just another patient. Everyone seems to do their job well, efficiently, and manage to create a comfortable and welcoming environment! I’m glad to receive my dental care here.

Fantastic experience: Dental care can be a scary thing to face. But St. Paul Dental Center makes it a welcoming experience from the point of checking in, to the minute you sit in the dental chair. I’ve had a couple different procedures from this place, and they always make me feel calm, comfortable and well taken care of. I am non-binary as well, and everyone does a good job of being aware of my pronouns which adds to the feeling of being welcomed in the space. Fantastic experience: I was traveling and a filling fell out - St. Paul Dental Center was able to get me in immediately. The front desk staff was very professional and nice, she was very accommodating and did an excellent job explaining the process, etc. The dental team did a great job, very friendly and quick. Overall the place was very clean with up to date equipment.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a place that feels welcoming, understanding, inviting, etc, look no further! I could not be more impressed with the St Paul Dental Center. I have not been to the dentist in years and quite frankly I was scared and anxious. The receptionist (I unfortunately don’t know her name off the top of my head) is so warm and inviting. Anastasiya and Dr. Jensen are amazing! It is so clear how important patient comfortability is. Its evident that they are highly skilled and know what they are doing. They take the time to explain to you what is going on and the best route to resolve the issues. They truly are amazing and I couldn’t recommend this establishment more. They’re the only people I would trust with my teeth.
