Fantastic experience: Absolute Best Dental Experience I’ve Ever Had I cannot recommend Dr. Mulligan and Grand Ave Dental highly enough. Dr. Mulligan is, without question, the best dentist I’ve had in my life. From the moment you walk in, everything feels professional, calm, and thoughtfully done. The office itself is beautiful — a charming, historic home converted into a modern dental practice. That detail really resonated with me, as I grew up in an old house nearby, and it gives the place a warm, personal feel you just don’t get in typical clinics. I came to Grand Ave Dental after losing confidence in my previous practice, where multiple dentists retired back-to-back and hygienists constantly turned over. Here, the difference is immediate. Dr. Mulligan and the entire staff are exceptionally knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely caring. You’re treated like a person, not a time slot. One thing that truly stood out was my experience having a filling done with nitrous oxide. They use a newer, high-tech delivery system with a small, lightweight nosepiece instead of the bulky mask you usually see. It’s silent, unobtrusive, and far more comfortable — easily the best nitrous experience I’ve ever had. They also offer Botox for TMJ, which I’ve done here and can honestly say it works wonders. If you clench or grind your teeth — especially from stress — this alone is a game changer. Lastly, I was really impressed to learn that they stand behind their work by warranting fillings, even if one were to fail more than once. That kind of confidence and accountability says everything. If you’re looking for exceptional dental care with a personal touch, advanced technology, and a team that truly cares, this is the place.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment at Grand Avenue Dental today and was very pleased. I wanted to find a new dental clinic that was within our insurance network and close to our home, and was very pleased with the warm welcome and professionalism of Dr.Stead and the staff there. My dental issues and treatment plan were discussed at length with me, and not once did I feel the appointment was rushed. It's always anxiety-provoking to switch to a new clinic, but I feel like I have made the right choice.

The last 2 crowns and bridge I got turned out fantastic. I have to give a shout to Dr.Mulligans assistant was a young Hispanic lady that was absolutely delightful and very knowledgeable in her profession! We had a great conversation about Mexican food!!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a cavity filled with Dr. Mulligan and it was a great experience. I had a bad experience during a prior filling with a different dentist, and thus I was pretty anxious about this appointment. However, Dr. Mulligan and the LDA Marisol prioritized my overall wellbeing and took the time to ensure I was comfortable and sufficiently numbed for the procedure. They were both so kind and communicative before, during, and after the filling, and I felt at very ease with them. I never once felt like I was not taken seriously for my anxiety around the procedure, nor like I was being overdramatic about my pain tolerance. I also couldn’t feel a thing in regards to the filling itself, which was a major plus! The team at Grand Avenue Dental is really amazing and I will be going to them for as long as I live in the Twin Cities area. I can’t thank them enough for their receptiveness, empathy, and willingness to listen. If you have any anxiety around going to the dentist—or even if you’re completely comfortable with it—I highly recommend going to Grand Avenue Dental for their expertise, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

Fantastic experience: Had an old filling replaced with a new filling. Originally Dr Mulligan recommended a crown but she decided on the new filling option once she saw that the tooth was in good shape. Overall excellent experience. Dr Mulligan clearly knows what she is doing and is a fantastic communicator telling me every step of the way what she was doing and explaining what I might be feeling. She and her assistant, Bethany, worked seamlessly together which added to the good experience. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Hello! I visited this clinic to get my cracked tooth treated. He was ill for two months. The gum underneath became inflamed. I received excellent treatment for the cracked tooth and the adjacent tooth. The very next day after treatment I feel much better. The gum inflammation began to subside. My visit to the clinic was very pleasant. All the employees treated me with great attention. Communication with them gave me great pleasure. The treatment process was almost painless. I recommend this dental clinic! This is the best treatment my teeth have ever received.

Fantastic experience: I had a "routine" cleaning and check-up with Kristen and Dr. Mulligan, but there is nothing routine about Grand Avenue Dental. The experience with Kristen, listening to 70s oldies and NOT FEELING ANY DISCOMFORT is more spa-like than dental. Dr. Mulligan then provided excellent guidance RE some mild whitening that I'd like to do to remove decades of coffee and tea staining. This is a 5-star dental experience!!

Since it is a small business you really get the ability to connect with all of the employees and they all care about your dental care. My particular dental hygienist for my cleaning was Janice, and she put in such thorough and detailed work to make sure I walked out of the appointment 100% happy with how my teeth sparkled. For my exam, I had Dr. Stead, she made sure I knew what she was doing and also put in a detailed exam to make sure my teeth were staying in good shape, such an amazing addition to the Grand Avenue Dental team! Lastly Robin, such a sweet woman and her smile is contagious making me feel comfortable as well! 10/10 recommend this place to anyone in need to fulfill their dental needs.

Fantastic experience: My grandmother was referred here by my own dentist as my own dentist doesn't do denture work. Dr Mulligan worked with us to get a new upper denture in place. She and the rest of the staff have been amazing: adjusting schedules, taking extra time to make adjustments to the new denture, and ensuring my grandmother is comfortable and happy with the fit.

Grand Ave. Dental did a swell job of welcoming me to their practice, beginning with the receptionist to closing out with the dental assistant, Stephanie. Dr. Mulligan was professional, attentive, competent, and even displayed a nerdy side. She took out the problem tooth that had given me so much pain for a week, with flawless expertise, then referred me to an oral surgeon that will extract the remaining wisdom teeth. Thank you for your care! I'm looking forward to my regular cleanings. Update: I had my first cleaning last Thursday (3/23/23). The dental hygienist Mary Jo was the sweetest, and thorough with my cleaning. We made good conversation while she assessed the health of my gums and teeth. She didn't sugarcoat anything, which I appreciated. She was also optimistic about the overall health of my gums and teeth, which put me at ease. Dr. Mulligan came in to do her own evaluation. She seemed stressed so I was amazed at how professionally she conducted herself. She handles stress way better than some of the dentists I've been to. She gave me some tips on how to better floss while not hurting my gums. She too was satisfied with the state of my gums and teeth. Thanks you two! I feel like I'm in good hands while I'm at Grand Ave. Dental.

Fantastic experience: I have always kind of hated going to the dentist, but I really enjoy going here! The dentists all actually explain what they’re doing and what things mean. I have never had a dentist that actually goes through everything with you and explains things, and I learned something new just by talking with them! Everyone was very friendly and it seems like they truly care about you and want to help in any way they can!

Fantastic experience: When a veneer fell off my front tooth the day before New Year’s Eve, and with Dr. Amble’s office closed, I didn’t hold out much hope for relief over the long holiday weekend. But not only did Dr. Amble listen to and return my voice message, he came into the office and took care of me the same day. While a lost veneer may not sound urgent, I couldn’t chew without severely biting the inside of my upper lip due to the missing veneer. I am so grateful for Dr. Amble’s kindness, caring and impeccable work. What a relief to have it fixed!
