I was able to make an early Saturday appointment while I was up in the middle of the night from my toothache. They saw me right away, identified and treated the problem, and got me back on my way quickly. I’m so glad I went in instead of suffering through the weekend. Very grateful to have this office in our community!

I experienced significant pain following my treatment and did not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed when I reported them. I was later hospitalized and required additional treatment, which was a frightening and difficult experience for me. This review reflects my own personal experience and opinion. Others may have a different experience, but based on mine, I would strongly encourage prospective patients to do their own research, ask questions, and consider seeking a second opinion before making decisions about dental treatment.

From the moment I walked in, I felt I was in the right place. The staff was friendly and efficient. Vanessa, Dr. Sedell's assistant, was kind, reassuring, and attentive from start to finish. Like most people, I checked online reviews before making the appointment. They were outstanding. After my visit, I can honestly say they didn't set the bar too high—they understated it! Dr. Sedell is an exceptional endodontist and a genuinely caring person. Throughout a long, complicated procedure, I never felt like just another patient. He stayed focused, explained what he was doing, checked on me often, and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. His bedside manner is outstanding. What impressed me most is that he's a perfectionist in the best sense of the word. He takes obvious pride in his work and isn't satisfied until everything is exactly right. That's the kind of doctor you hope for when you're in the chair. One final bonus: he's a devoted dog lover. Anyone who loves dogs that much earns extra points in my book. Skill and experience. I came in for a dental file extraction and it was a super smooth and fast process, all of the office staff are friendly and helpful. Dr. Sedell was precise and methodical and also taught me some knew things and answered every question I had, beyond what I feel like is normally experienced in any doctor's office. Even though it was my first appointment with them I am extremely grateful for the whole crew there and I had a great time with Dr. Sedell even though I am a big chicken when it comes to getting any work done. He made me super comfortable and was very personable which is something I look for at least when it comes to any kind of health-care provider. I highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I am writing this review because I had to come back to comfort dental louisville on a referral from my dentist in thornton to get my 2nd root canal done by Dr. Sedell and his assistant Vanessa. I am.happy to say that this experience was even better then the last, I think partly because coming into it this time I was not as nervous as last time since I had been worked on by this same Dr before with no issues. Theyre both very kind always check on me throughout the procedure and I was so comfortable the whole time , and I didnt feel any kind of discomfort or pain at all. These two are a great team and Dr. Sedell is definitlely the guy to go to for any root canals ! Highly recommend.

He explained the facts to me explicitly of the situation I was up against with my infected tooth in detail. It was not a good prognosis but he did what was feasible with his expertise. Yes, I was there for sometime, however, remarkably afterwards I did feel better getting the root canal. Would I recommend him to others? Yes I would. Experiencia negativa: I recently visited Comfort Dental with my two young daughters, and unfortunately, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable. During my daughter’s X-rays, the dentist publicly reprimanded a dental assistant for not placing a protective vest on her. He raised his voice in front of us, which created an unprofessional and tense atmosphere. While the assistant handled the situation calmly, it was still uncomfortable to witness. Shortly after, a different assistant began X-rays for my other daughter. I asked if I should move so she could grab the protective vest, and she responded abruptly that it wasn’t needed. In addition, she questioned the other assistant’s actions out loud in front of us, which came across as corrective and unprofessional. This inconsistency, especially after just seeing the dentist insist the vest was necessary, prompted me to look into it myself. From what I found, the vest is not always required, but the conflicting communication between staff made the situation confusing and concerning. Additionally, there appeared to be a newer staff member who repeatedly walked back and forth between treatment rooms throughout the entire appointment, briefly stopping for only a couple of seconds in each before moving on again. He was never introduced to us,despite every other staff member introducing themselves, and did not stay long enough to observe or assist in any meaningful way, which made his presence feel awkward and somewhat intrusive rather than part of any clear training or workflow. What ultimately turned me off from the experience happened toward the end of the visit. At the beginning, I had mentioned that one of my daughters already had a loose tooth. Later, during a procedure to apply sealant to protect their teeth from cavities, we were given the option of using cotton or a mouthpiece. The assistant recommended the mouthpiece, explaining that it was a smaller size designed for children and that it would be quicker and easier, so we agreed. However, it felt like there was already some awareness that placing it might be uncomfortable. For comparison, the other assistant working with my other daughter did not offer the mouthpiece and simply used cotton, and everything went smoothly without any issues. When the mouthpiece was used on my daughter, too much force was applied while trying to place it, which ended up loosening a different tooth that had not been loose before. My daughter immediately became upset, and her tooth began bleeding. At that point, it was clear that the option that was presented as “easier” actually caused unnecessary discomfort. Additionally, the dental assistant responsible for the mouthpiece frequently appeared unprepared, as her tray was often missing the necessary tools for the procedure. This led to repeated interruptions where she had to leave the room to retrieve items, call out for assistance, or wait for another staff member to bring what was needed, contributing to delays and a lack of efficiency during the appointment. This was also the same assistant who seemed more focused on monitoring and correcting another staff member rather than staying attentive to her own responsibilities. From my perspective, her attention would have been better directed toward ensuring she was fully prepared and focused on the patient in front of her. I did not experience these issues with the other assistant, as my other daughter’s appointment went smoothly. I also had an appointment scheduled for myself that same day, but after everything that happened,especially seeing my daughter in pain, I felt too overwhelmed and unsettled to continue. I initially asked to reschedule at the front desk, but later decided to call and cancel the appointment altogether. I will say that the staff, especially the front desk team, were kind and welcoming on an individual level. However, the overall lack of professionalism, inconsistent communication, and the way the situation was handled made what should have been a routine visit feel stressful and concerning.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in this morning to get a root canal on a referral from my main dentist up north in Thornton. Originally I was upset because I went in thinking I was going to get a tooth that had been causing me much pain with a big infection fixed on the bottom of my mouth. Come to find out its a completely different tooth they were supposed to be working on, that hadn't been causing me any pain whatsoever. So I wasnt happy that I still had to wait until my painful tooth got fixed. But thats my main dentist's fault not Comfort dental. Anyways, Dr. Sedell and his assistant , Vanessa were the ones who worked on my tooth today, and even tho I threw a bit of a tantrum when I found out the situation my main dentist threw me into and leaving me clueless, Dr. Sedell was very kind with me, he did a fantastic job and Vanessa was very sweet & making sure I was comfortable and okay the entire time. Dr. Sedell also went over all of my x rays with me afterwards and explained everything that was going on with my bad teeth and walked me through what needs to be done and why step by step. This is something my dentist never does with me. I dont even get to see the x rays they took at their office. So all in all, I would definitley recommend them to anyone who needs a root canal specialist, because ive had many bad experiences at the dentist in the past and this was one of very few good experiences. After visiting plenty of other offices, the comfort dental in Louisville is the one I stuck with. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help, they are easy to get along with and the dentists are all kind and professional, their bed-side manner is top notch making the visits comfortable, they always answer our questions and explain things plainly and without condescendence. 10/10 I trust them enough to care for my family

Experiencia negativa: Was the best dental office for many years! Every staff member has changed and regular cleanings are no longer pain free unfortunately. At my last visit, they saw me over an hour after the appointment time and blamed me saying I was on the phone. They never told me they were ready. I wS developing mastitis in postpartum and they knew this. Their only hygienist smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (I am breastfeeding so that didn't work). They use febreeze considerably so don't go here if you're sensitive to that. 2 days after my appointment my teeth were hurting and black all over again despite following everything they recommend. I called and asked if there was anything they could do and they wanted me to come up with something which is ridiculous I ended up scheduling an appointment with my PCP just to get prescription enamel mouthwash since this place was completely out of integrity in so many ways. There were a lot more issues, just overall the quality of care have sunk recently.

Both Dr Sedell and his assistant patiently worked until well after closing on my tooth. Their professionalism and integrity shown through as Dr Sedell was able to lean on his experience and creativity to overcome the problem and complete the procedure properly. Sedell is highly skilled but also down to earth and able to empathize with his patience. In fact, the entire staff are approachable, personable, and professional. I feel fortunate to have found this team. I recommend this clinic wholeheartedly. You can stop looking for the right dentist, you found them.

Experiencia negativa: Just had a root canal retreat with Dr. Sedell an endodontist and assistant Vanessa and I’m not happy at all. At the start Sedell introduced himself but didn't look me in my face. He asked me what tooth was hurting right now and I told him a different tooth than the current one he was working on. He was rude and said he couldn’t work on that other tooth without a prior authorization, which I know that but he shouldn’t have led with that question since he knew which tooth he was working on. During the procedure, he told me to raise my left hand if I was having any pain, I had pain and proceeded to raise my left hand to which he ignored and continued drilling. I noticed he ignored it so I would make sounds instead. Sedell told me he couldn’t tell I was in pain by the sounds I was making and I need to continue to raise my hand. Sedell was not nice in the way he would turn my head or put the pieces into my mouth to get an xray. When the jaw piece accidentally slipped out of my mouth for the xray because I was trying to “help” he gave me an unhappy look and said “excuse” I replied and said well you were going to adjust it anyway. This was after the assistant Vanessa had already put it in my mouth. As we proceed to continue the root canal I raised my hand because I’m experiencing pain and dr. Sedell tells me that I will experience some pain, but before that he told me I shouldn’t have any pain because my roots are dead, now as a person with anxiety and fear of dentist’s already, I feel the need to just sit there and endure the pain. Through this he is adding little shots of what I assume is lidocaine but it’s not helping the more and more he’s getting to the root. I was asking dr. Sedell questions about what he was doing and he didn’t seem happy to answer them. He has poor bedside manner and my first poor experience at the dentist. I’m glad Vanessa was there to hold my hand and talk me through things. Dr. Sedell doesn’t represent this comfort dental location, I just think they need a new endodontist. I have been treated her greatly especially by Dr. Brendon Jones, he is a person who actually cares about his patients and career still.

You never knew who your dentist would be because of a revolving cast of doctors and the hygienists were always different. I was pleasantly surprised when he personally reached out just a few hours after my treatment to check on me, see how I was feeling, and remind me what to do if I experienced any pain or discomfort. That level of care really stood out to me. I was also amazed at how quickly I healed — I had no swelling at all and felt great afterward. The entire root canal was done in about 20 minutes, which was incredible. Dr. Sedell goes above and beyond, and it’s clear he genuinely cares. His assistant was also so kind and sweet, which made the experience even better. I’m extremely grateful that he was able to fix my issues so efficiently and comfortably.
