Experiencia fantástica: When I asked friends to suggest a dentist several highly recommended Dr Friedman’s practice. I had my first visit yesterday, and I see why. After I was given a very thorough series of X-rays and images, Dr Friedman took time to explain what issues he saw—one of which other dental providers had missed! I told him about my medications and family history of gum disease and tooth loss, then he told me of several options for follow up periodontal care. One was a periodontist who might be able to do a less invasive procedure than full oral surgery, which could be a better option for me. He made the referral, plus a plan for follow up with him. I learned years ago that having a first-rate doctor is important not only for their care, but for the quality of the referrals they make. After watching my mother struggle to pay for implants at $4-6K per tooth, I take my dental care seriously. I feel like I’m in good hands now, with the best possible shot at preserving my teeth.

Staff (like Kayla and Val) are optimistic and informative about all dental care: insurance and billing tradeoffs, at-home best practices, industry trends, and more! After trying FOUR different dental offices in the City of Boulder, I found BSD. I cannot recommend them enough! Ask about their health care plans too—they are more cost-effective than my employer-sponsored dental plan.

Experiencia positiva: I’m likely done with this place. Billing has been a junk show, answers to questions have been misleading and the “final” or “”confirmed” numbers change without reasonable explanation. Interactions with the dentist and his work feel above average. His hygienist's seem to turn over regularly so it’s hot or miss for a good one. Three stars is generous if they haven’t figured out their billing issues.

Experiencia negativa: One of the worst run dental offices in Colorado. Their office manger yelled and my wife and 93 year old mother for asking questions about insurance coverage. We stopped attending their office over a year ago go and they just contacted us after 14 months with a +$1000 bill. Friedman is a decent dentist but the office manager is (was?) a nightmare. There are so many better choices for dental offices in Boulder. Stay away from this train wreck.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been visiting Boulder Smile Design for almost 4 years. I’ve had regular cleanings, cavities filled, 3 crowns and a tooth extracted. I’m generally not a fan of pain and of holding my mouth open for extended periods of time, except when I’m singing. And yet I must admit that Dr. Friedman and his staff do a great job of making my visits a pleasant experience. They are professional, calm, organized, and skilled in their craft. I heartily recommend that anyone consider visiting BSD for their dental care.

She is even willing to wear a retainer to maintain the straight teeth. A parents seam (I’m glad her teeth qualified her to use Invisiline instead of braces!

With top of the line technology, he has mastered the art of dentistry and will surely take care of you to the best of his skillset. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Friedman is extremely compassionate and knowledgeable. My case was complex -- needing crowns on my two top front teeth, but with very little space between them and my lower teeth. Because of the limited space, they needed to be thin, yet strong. They also needed to match my surrounding natural teeth as much as possible, which have high translucency. Dr. Friedman researched materials and called the lab to determine the best material for my crowns. Then, he wouldn't stop trying and working with the lab until I was completely satisfied with how they looked and felt. I am extremely picky and sensitive, so this wasn't an easy job for him, but he was patient and understanding until the very end, and I couldn't be happier with how they look now. People cannot tell I have crowns unless I point them out, even dental professionals. All the staff at Dr. Friedman's office are very professional and empathetic. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Friedman and his practice.
