After years of trying to dig through mediocre options we've decided to pay out of pocket for the excellent care and service Dr Martin and his team provide. Bonus, they have a new team member since we were last there. Goose the therapy dog makes the visit and even more fun. Great experience from top to bottom with an emphasis on education and making each patient feel comfortable.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience from booking, then to my appointment could not have gone any better or been any more helpful, the team is amazing and so kind! They do definitely strive to make you as comfortable as possible! I was having discomfort with a messed up bite, and a decaying tooth (wisdomtooth). I was in and out, they fixed my bite removed my tooth and another wisdom tooth that I had no need for. Mouth is healing great. Im in no pain. Seriously amazing work! Definitely recommend. I will be back in the future for sure!

I felt seen, heard, and validated about my dental fears. I felt extremely at ease starting from the very moment I walked in the door beginning with the super friendly staff, then the amazing dental assistant, Sabrina, being so kind and accommodating - and I want to add that I have never remembered the name of a dental assistant in all the years of going to the dentist, but because she was so kind, she was memorable. And then my interaction with Dr. Martin was like no other dentist I've ever seen; he went over my entire medical history and then my dental history and then came up with a comprehensive plan to help me tackle the issues that I've let compound because of the extreme dental anxiety that kept me out of the dentist office for far too long. When he mentioned home Care I didn't feel any sort of shame or embarrassment for not being completely on top of my home care, as I struggle with executive function challenges. When having to examine one tooth that was in extremely bad shape, I felt a pain, And then immediately defaulted to apologizing and was reassured a couple times that there was no need for me to apologize and then he apologized! I've never had a dentist apologize to me! When the exam was over I was then given a quote for services I needed done and then was walked through the process of qualifying for credit through Cherry financing that ended up covering nearly the entire quote. The whole entire process was absolutely seamless but moreover, it was so genuinely enjoyable and calming to my nervous system. The office was absolutely gorgeous, With state of the art equipment and tools. I just can't say enough about how highly I recommend Dr. James Martin and his staff.

Given my extensive dental history, which includes Root Canals, Bonding, Bone Grafts, Fillings, Crowns, Implants, and Veneers, I anticipated that my initial exam would reveal a significant amount of necessary treatment. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that only a few issues required immediate attention, while others were less urgent. The exam itself was thorough, and the technology, products, equipment and laboratory services used for my new crown are of the highest quality. I can speak to this with confidence, having worked in the Dental field for 18 years earlier in my career! Because my teeth, my smile, and overall dental health are very important to me , I confidently and wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Martin and his outstanding team.

The entire staff is next level friendly, awesome, and supportive. And their accommodations for those with anxiety about dentistry has made all the difference in my oral health. I’ve been through a number of dental procedures with honestly really great dentist but found myself riddled with so much anxiety over dental work that my oral health suffered. I picked James Martin because they offered free sedation and I can’t express how helpful that is, but also the entire staff is so great and that helps just as much. Experiencia fantástica: My first visit was amazing, they took time to look over every tooth, took all concerns I had and were so flexible with scheduling as a busy human. Their office is so calming and clean, and they definitely care about their patients.

Experiencia fantástica: If you're looking for somebody to help you with your dental work, this is the only place you need to go. I went to 3 other practitioners before I chose Dr. Martin to do my much-needed aesthetic dental work: crowns, implant removal, and bone graft. One doctor, who is still considered one of the most reputable oral surgeons in Boulder, told me he couldn't help me. At all. Another doctor expressed clear judgment of the appearance of my teeth, which had nothing to do with lack of care on my part, but completely about factors outside of my control. (She asked me, "Why haven't you taken care of this earlier? People could judge you!" Thanks a lot, I had no idea… ) The third doctor gave me a write up services recommended, but provided very little information in the consultation, even though I asked many questions. And he didn't even begin to address some of the issues that Dr. Martin has addressed. Dr. Martin's office was a complete game changer. First, his assistants are super responsive and very helpful, which got me in the door. And the vibe of the entire office is completely different. Everybody seems to genuinely love their job and have a great rapport, and that matters: You don't want any detail of your care to get lost due to somebody's negligence because they have better places to be. The WHOLE office goes above and beyond with patient care. Then, in beginning to work with Dr. Martin, I immediately found him to be far more thorough, solution-oriented, honest, and helpful than I experienced any other doctor to be. He pointed out multiple potential issues with my dental work that no other doctor had before, as well as offering multiple solutions, making sure I had all of the information I needed, and a range of choices. He also has the latest technology, enabling him and his assistants to do the work well. Hands down, this is the place to be!

James is perfectly thorough, gentle and genuinely caring. He is respectful and does not condescend nor judge. He just wants to take care of his people from where they are at. Everyone in the office is friendly, joyful and respectful. They truly care about the people they are helping. I just finished a cleaning with Alicia. She was gentle, calm and caring. I was anxious after having neglected my dental hygiene for a while and was met with compassion and care. I don’t leave reviews but it feels necessary after multiple perfect experiences here.

After refusing to go the dentist for years due to anxiety, I had a tooth break and was left with little choice in the matter. Life Dentistry snuck me in last minute on a Friday and treated me and my teeth with such kindness. I’ve been back two times already for crown fittings and a cleaning and plan on keeping my appointments up every six months. The office is so modern and beautiful, there are TVs at every chairs and they offer ice cream after your visit. All these extras are bonuses but nothing compared to the amazing staff. They make every visit calm and friendly! Sure, I still don’t love having my teeth scraped with metal, but the conversation during makes it much better! Thank you Life Dentistry!

I have been DEATHLY afraid of the dentist since I was child, and these guys and girls have somehow changed that. 1 extraction, 1 root canal/crown, I don’t know how many cavities, and we are planning my implants as well. Experiencia fantástica: Hi, I’m the problem; it’s me. After not seeing a dentist in decades(?!), an unrelenting toothache led me to the office of James Martin. Every aspect from scheduling an emergency appointment, meeting his incredible staff, getting in that chair, and assessing all my options, I was met with a friendly and calm demeanor. I received zero judgement for the predicament I had put myself in. They genuinely seemed happy I was there seeking treatment instead of suffering like the mouth goblin I was. They are so sympathetic and supportive to those with dental anxiety; the whole vibe is a warm blanket which they also offer! They have the floofiest support dog, Goose, who may be part Ewok. This hasn’t been confirmed or denied. They offer sedation, which for an exhausted Mom like myself, was a free pass for sleep. It’s a service they offer free of charge!! The magical mixture tastes of pixy stix, and you get to watch TV. It’s what I wish home was like! I’ve now been several times. I’ve had my wisdom teeth pulled, an extensive deep cleaning therapy, and I was fitted for a night guard - because seriously, in this economy, who isn’t clenching their teeth?? I’m on the right path to restore and protect my smile going forward. Don’t wait; the sooner, the better! The whole team is a delight, and I personally shall refer to them as, “Masters of the Dental Universe!” By the power of fluoride, don’t hesitate to meet these talented professionals.

I just got a filling done and knowing with certainty that it was done right is the peace of mind everyone deserves from a dental visit. I was a dental hygienist for this practice for a year and got to see all of the work dr. Martin has performed on his patients. Everything is done with long term goals in mind, beautiful restorations that won’t cause other problems down the line, and very thorough analysis of existing problems to create the best treatment plan. The implant work is also impeccable with remarkable aesthetic results and supportive care along the way. Dr. Martin has extensive training and knowledge for all the procedures he performs and his skill is unparalleled. When it comes to cleanings and preventive care, this is one of the few offices that has already invested in an airflow, a top of the line air polisher that makes cleanings feel like a spa experience, and is where the rest of offices will end up catching up to in 10 years. The office also caters to dental anxiety and the staff puts you at ease, there are all sorts of options to make procedures comfortable; from wearing headphones and watching a show to getting sedation, which offers the gift of feeling like you just took a nap and woke up with your dental work done. And it’s a judgement-free zone no matter the state of your oral health or how long it has been since your last visit. Every one was so nice and there was absolutely no judgment. Dr. Martin made me feel safe and relaxed which I have never felt at the dentist before. They also have a dog who helps patients with anxiety named Duck who is so sweet! I seriously cannot recommend coming here enough especially if you have dental anxiety.

As a lay-person, I didn't know what was going on (cracked tooth, cavity, etc.) but they did a thorough exam and check of the affected area and they gave me several options to correct the issue.

However, Dr. Martin and his team were highly creative, tenacious, and able to get the scan. No other dentist has been able to capture a complete image. The exam was the most comprehensive I have ever had on a first visit and I am not finished with the initial exam. His team is very caring and kind. Great staff and great modern office.

Experiencia fantástica: If i could give Dr. Martin and his team 100 stars I would. I'm a 42 yr old female, dental phobe. Panic attacks just thinking about going to the dentist. Wouldn't eat for days to weeks over dental pain and fear of addressing it. I neglected my teeth since 2009 because of my outrageous fears. Convinced I needed all my teeth out, I shut down. Just accepted my teeth would eventually kill me. That was better than going to the dentist and admitting what I allowed to happen to my self. The shame I felt. The fear I felt letting someone in to see the shame was crippling. I had one missing tooth and one broken one at this point. A few cavities, teeth haven't been cleaned in 15 yrs. Very ashamed to show anyone. Well, my wisdom teeth have been a problem since about 30 yrs old, they have killed me off and on for 12 years. My teeth have been a constant source of anxiety for 20 yrs. Knowing I needed to do something. Finally in September they hurt bad enough for me to search. I searched Dental Phobic dentists. After lots of reviews I found Dr. Martin. I reached out, they contacted me, I was very busy and never got back to them, both from fear and work/travel schedule. So on 10/28 the wisdom teeth started again. I called him on 10/31. His office was so nice from the very first call. They even asked another patient if they would be rescheduled so he could see me that day. I went in same day. His staff was so understanding, so comforting, there was no judgement, it was nothing but wanting to help. I felt safe. They shared personal stories. I didn't cry, I didn't panic. I was nervous, but they were so wonderful. I don't look at xrays.... I was looking at xrays before I left that day. The whole time he assured me he wanted to earn my trust so I'd come back. He earned it enough that day to get me scheduled for oral surgery. I went in for surgery the morning of 11/5 and got 3 teeth extracted and 2 fillings. The oral sedation is everything. I was expecting IVs and needles and that never happened. I was given 2 very small amounts of medication. One was maybe a TBSP of something mixed wih Gatorade and the second was a powder mixed with ice breakers.... I was sleeping within minutes. I woke up at home in my bed, teeth gone. It was amazing. Recovery hasn't been too bad either. I was finally able to eat food today. Something I haven't been able to do since 10/28. This man has changed everything. I'm still scared of dental work, but I know he will make it easy as heck and I can't wait to go to my post-op on Tuesday just to see him and thank him again for being him. He's outstanding and his darn near perfect reviews are legitimate. He's what every dentist should be! He's about a 45 minute drive for me, but he's worth it and I'm pretty sure I found mine and my daughter's forever dentist, no matter where i live. Call him if you suffer from crippling dental anxiety. He probably saved my life.

I've been terrified about getting dentures, but Dr. Martin and his team made the process easy. They helped with insurance and financing, which was wonderful. Even better, their competence and compassion calmed my nerves and made me comfortable. I'm still healing, but I can already tell that my dentures will greatly improve the quality of my life. P.S. Experiencia negativa: I highly recommend NOT going to Dr. Martin. He damaged my bite which will need orthodontic work, I woke up during a very painful procedure, and I have a failing root canal. I went to Dr. Martin after dental trauma in my past. I now have more trauma, plus damage that will cost over $10k to fix. Do yourself a favor. Find another dentist.

I had to contact their office for an emergency root canal a couple months ago. I went in fearful, literally crying due to trauma from past experiences. I have always been someone that never gets “numb” from the numbing medication. No how many shots they’ve given me, (I’ve had a dentist attempt 4 numbing shots before) I have always been able to feel everything. With the sedation his office offers, I was able to get all of my procedures done peacefully and without any pain. I was a little nervous about getting my wisdom teeth extracted so Dr. Martin sat down with me, pulled up my x-rays and showed me why this was going to be an easy, no stress procedure. Shortly after, I was back eating normal with barely any soreness remaining. If you have dental fear or dental anxiety this is THE way to do it! Complimentary sedation! Because of that, I was able to get fillings taken care of and a crown done all in the same visit. Not only is Dr. Martin one of the most talented Dentists I have worked for, he is also the most caring. 10 out of 10 experience.

I’ve been seeing Dr Martin for nearly a year now getting a lot of long overdue work done, and am currently nearing the end of the process of getting a couple implants. His work is amazing and top of the line! I have major anxiety in general, but excessive health (dental) anxiety and everyone here has been very supportive and understanding when I had many questions or just needed reassurance. Richelle, Kelly and Sabrina are the best as well and really make the whole experience positive.

But, not this time with this office! I just got 2 crowns and a filling all in one sitting. The coolest thing is their oral sedation (which is free). I referred him to Life Dentistry after my amazing experience** I started going to Life Dentistry this year. I had not been to a dentist in (!) over seven years. This was mainly due to a terrible experience I had with a dental hygienist at my last dentist's office. I was pretty nervous going in because I was worried about being judged or shamed. I had the complete opposite experience. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was so wonderful and easy to work with. They made me feel very comfortable and safe, and at no point did I feel shamed. After seven years of worrying about my dental health, I am finally on a path to having a healthy smile. I recommend Life Dentistry to everyone, including my father. They took such great care of him, and he asked me to write a review for him because he was so happy with his experience. I have struggled going to the dentist over the years due to anxiety, but I had no option when an old filling cracked - I knew I had to go get it fixed. This team has been so so helpful from the start, and for the first time EVER, I don’t feel absolutely dreadful when going to the dentist. I am even to the point where I might be willing to go without sedation - but the free conscious sedation is a HUGE plus until I am comfortable. The second you walk in, they make you feel at home! It sounds silly, but being able to communicate via text is also huge for me. There is no guilt associated with this office - they are deeply understanding and truly want to help. They keep you updated with every single step that they take, and I couldn’t ask for more! Excited to continue going here and finally get my dental health in check without fear.
