After calling serveral other offices I found Broomfield Smiles. They got me in right away. Dr. Paul was very thorough explaining what happened to my tooth and what my options were. I was very worried about pain but he was very careful and gentle making me feel comfortable.

Experiencia negativa: I was just looking for a second opinion on my treatment and already had scans/pictures from before. Not only they gave me a $95 bill after the consultation, not mentioning before about this cost, they also reached out to me for additional $85 in few months as my pending bill. And this all cost for no treatment at all, just getting a second opinion. This was extremely frustrating. i won't recommend going there to anyone. I had a bad feeling about this to begin with. The receptionist while trying to make an appointment over phone responded "don't yell at me" for no reason. Experience with doctor was pretty good but I will still not recommend this to anyone because of the billing issues and unfriendly staff.

Experiencia positiva: Dr. Petersen and his technical staff are great! However, the practice gets a single star for the poor handling of insurance and benefits. We were out of network but decided to go despite the possibility of higher copays because of the recommendations we have read about Dr. Petersen in 5280. We had our benefits verified twice and were told that we would owe $2 (absolutely no more than $10) for every exam/cleaning. They did multiple types of x-rays and then said our insurance didn't cover the x-rays and are trying to charge us hundreds of dollars for the x-ray that the insurance wouldn't cover and the x-rays they would have covered if the un-allowed x-ray was not done. All of this after 'verifying' our benefits twice! Now the same front office employee is threatening to send us to collections even though the insurance states they never called to verify benefits. Great doctor, wonderful technical staff, but horribly ran office that makes this dental practice a hard pass. * Update - Dr. Petersen called me to discuss the mistakes made. I appreciate his willingness to work though this and have changed my review to 3 stars because of his focus on doing the right thing. I wish Dr. Petersen all the best, but unless he gets new office management I would still recommend seeking out another provider.

Experiencia fantástica: Ended up moving my entire family to the practice after trying them out when moving to the neighborhood. Dr. Petersen provides excellent care for all ages! Administrative staff and Hygienists are a pleasure to work with as well.

Experiencia negativa: First I want to say that my issue is with the billing person. I had nothing but very positive experiences with the doctor and my hygienist. I went in last September for a standard dental cleaning. I don't clearly remember, but they did take some x-rays. I do remember being asked if I wanted a fluoride treatment, at extra cost. I declined. There was no other mention of extra cost services. Some time later, I got a bill for just under $100 from the dentist. I told them I did not remember any x-rays, but she did prove they were done. She said it was most likely not covered because my dental insurance was out of network. She sent me the claim and what she got back from the insurance company. I called the insurance company myself. They said they cover all standard preventative services at 100%, even for out of network. The extra services were not considered preventative, and thus fell into my out of network deductible. And they said if any preventative services would be covered if they re-filed using the right codes. I tried explaining this to the billing woman, to which I received a few weeks of nothing. Finally she responded telling me they used the right codes, they can't change them, and I owe the money. If I don't pay shortly, it will be sent to collections. I emailed telling her that I came in for a standard cleaning, and as far as I knew, that is what I got. No more, no less. And I asked for an explanation for these services. When did anyone ask me if I wanted them? Where was my opportunity to decline? Never in my life did I ever go for a standard cleaning and end up with a bill. So far, no response. I do believe the other staff really do provide great service. But this billing woman certainly doesn't care about treating customers well. She would apparently prefer to lose my whole family's business and get this review.

My mother had them adjusted multiple times- still did not fit comfortably. (Way too big). Now a couple of years later she is FINALLY getting the beautiful smile that she deserves- from someone else (ESPIRE dental). DO NOt WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY!!

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable in the industry details from service to insurance details. His medical skillset is up to date and chairside manners are awesome. There are 2 kinds of dental professionals - the cheap with outdated skill set and experienced with current dental practices. Keeping up with your oral health will also help you stay healthy with your internal organs as the oral bacteria travels through your blood stream. I highly recommend this dental practice.
