Comforting, supportive, professional, but not overly so that you feel like a nobody. They treat you as a friend. I was having a badly infected tooth pulled and they were more concerned about my comfort, rather then pull it and dive me out the door. I've experienced that before with other dentists. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

She was extremely gentle with me and explained everything which put my mind at ease. The office is super clean and inviting. He is absolutely amazing! And when I say amazing, I mean amazing in every way!! He’s comforting, gentle, & truly genuinely concerned about the anxiety you feel sitting in a Dentist chair! He listens to what your concerns are an offers different plans or solutions on how to truly help you get your smile back! And you know what’s even better? if you don’t have employee sponsored insurance, they also take Medicaid here!!! If you are a person who has always been afraid/ traumatized of the dentist like me (& trust me, I’ve been THAT person. Only going to the dentist at the very last minute when I am literally in tears), don’t go to any other Dentist! Make your next appointment with TRUE NORTH DENTAL STUDIO TODAY! SERIOUSLY! I have never thought that there was truly ANY dentist out there that cared about how high my anxiety is (WAS!!!)… Until I met & consulted with Dr. Tran here at True North Dental studio. When I explained to him how traumatized I was from my past experiences, and how afraid I truly was going to the dentist, He listened to my concerns (Especially about needle injections) and He offered A different type of sedation where you take two pills the night before your and two pills an hour before the procedure… To help with the anxiety and fear. And as soon as he offered the option of pills, I was all in! And on this day, for me, I needed a root canal AND an extraction, (uuugh) but after following his instructions on how to take the sedation medication, by the time I got to my dentist appointmentmy anxiety was completely gone! I don’t even remember anything! NO PAIN, nothing!! But I was still awake and conscious through it all!! ( I don’t even remember the appointment to be honest with you -lol!) And then, even the days after!! I was not in any pain (just minor discomfort) from the procedure! And BONUUUUS!!! The sedation offered were PILLS! NOT A PAINFUL NEEDLE INJECTION! So if there’s anybody out there, I need to convince, that Dr. Tran and his staff truly DO YOU CARE ABOUT HOW YOU FEEL, about your anxiety, and fear coming to the dentist, then you need to make an appointment here and you’ll never wanna go anywhere else! I will spread the word about him to anyone who has the same fear as I do and I will highly recommend them coming here! …I’ve only had this one visit with them, and I don’t have any fear or anxiety to go to any of the other procedures I need done! I wish I would’ve found Dr. Tran 17 teeth ago!! But I’m glad he’s made a plan to get my teeth back on track and get everything done that I always wanted to get completed! A big shout out to Dr. Tran his staff Letty, Visti And all of the staff there who are truly concerned and caring!! … I’m actually excited to go back to the dentist. Can you believe that? Lol

Experiencia negativa: As a pregnant stay-at-home mother of three young children who are unable to stay home alone, I am facing the challenge of scheduling appointments due to my husband's demanding business schedule and not having family to watch our young children. I have had to reschedule two appointments due to my husband's schedule and not being able to get home in time for my cleaning appointments. This week, I received a text message stating they haven’t seen me in a long time and asking if I would like to get on the books for a cleaning. I immediately texted back, saying it’s been months, and I was in the middle of scheduling a cleaning service late in the evening in December when the front desk told me I was put on a day-to-day call list. Unfortunately, I cannot call on the day of to see if they have availability because we both work on a busy schedule. The front desk receptionist's behavior was rude and unacceptable, and maybe jealous that I am a stay-at-home mother. We are relocating our business to find a company that truly prioritizes its customers. Maybe think about hiring a new receptionist.

I felt they were exceptional at their jobs, something I have not felt before at previous dentist locations. New state of the art equipment and uses Cavitron for cleanings. They have caught and fixed minor but important things in my mouth that other dentists did not take the time to address. Experiencia fantástica: I am visiting Denver on vacation. I had sudden extreme pain in a molar that I assumed would require extraction. Dr Tan got me in immediately and Jossilyn, one of his assistants, did fast, efficient (and witty!) x-rays. Dr Tan took a significant amount of time to explain in detail that I did not need an extraction but did need a course of antibiotics (for which he provided a prescription) and that I should have a root canal done when I got home. I can’t imagine a better experience for what I thought was going to be a vacation ruining disaster. Thank you Doctor Tan and crew!

She is incredibly gentle, patient, and kind. Olivia really appreciates how caring Dr. Nguyen is, and because of that, she’s always willing to go back for her cleanings without hesitation. Experiencia positiva: Dr. Tran is amazing. Truly one of the best dentists I have ever had; However, his office staff needs to learn how to communicate much better. They apparently are under the impression that I don't have a life outside of going to the dentist, which I do. I work full-time and have kids and grandkids. Calling me a few hours before my scheduled surgery (while I was in back to back meetings at work the day of surgery) the ONE phone call I received, to tell to take meds that haven't even been filled by the pharmacy yet, doesn't cut it. Passing on important information that was imperative I receive a few hours before surgery is irresponsible and lazy. I had to reschedule my surgery for the next day because of their lack of communication skills and planning on their part. They had the audacity to tell it was for my safety that I needed to take my antibiotic before the surgery, yet when I called them MONDAY morning (3 days before my surgery) to let them know I was out of my antibiotic, I didn't here a word from them until the day of surgery and a few hours before surgery was scheduled that they FINALLY called in a new prescription, which AGAIN was not even ready until 3 hors before surgery. If they were so concerned about my "safety" maybe this should have all been handled a few days BEFORE SURGERY; NOT THE DAY OF!!! Common sense and critical thinking skills might be a few abilities they might want to set as a criteria before hiring office staff. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because of Dr. Tran and his dental assistant. They were great. The office staff, not so much.

Experiencia negativa: I'd like to preface this review by saying that I tried to remain unbiased and that I am fully aware that there can, and most likely will be pain involved in a visit to the dentist. My first experience at True North last summer was quite pleasant. I received a cleaning and consulted with a Dentist (can't remember his name) about my need for an implant due to a broken tooth. Everyone was nice, professional, and personable. I was excited that I may have found a dental clinic that is effective, technologically progressive, actually treats people like humans, and doesn't shame them for not flossing 16 times a day 8 days a week. My second experience in February was pretty much the opposite. My hygienist was VERY heavy handed, it was almost like she was still in school flossing a doll -- and I consider my pain tolerance to be slightly above average. There was no consideration for my cues that I was in pain. Was not personable at all. The only verbal exchanges were her explaining my shortcomings in tooth care. I haven't experienced gaslighting like that since I was an adolescent at the dentist. Didn't even inquire as to why I might have been falling behind on my tooth care. The dentist was a different person this time and while she was professional, I still felt like a number in that office. It was not enjoyable and I likely will not be going back unless I can choose specifically to work with the crew I had on my first visit.

Experiencia negativa: You know I would’ve agreed with some of these reviews years ago. But there’s been a shift. In January of last year, I came back for a visit and didn’t let them do x-rays because they had just done them due to me getting a new insurance. If you needed it and had been five years fine, but not just because I have a new insurance company and it’s like an angered them Now of course they didn’t act funny but here we are a year later and I’ve been coming to them when we lived in Colorado and still coming to them when we move to California. Of course we still have a house in Colorado so there’s other reasons to come back to town right. I had my crown fall off on one of my teeth and tried to get an appointment when I was coming in town and unfortunately, they say one of the doctors only works four days a week and the other one that works on Friday can never take an extra person in even when there’s an emergency I tried to work with the front desk, but the only thing she wanted to find out as if she were a detective was if it was a crown that they did or not she called me back eagerly to tell me oh, this is a crown we were watching. I’m like great. Give me an appointment to fix it. She was like oh we can’t. Doctor doesn’t work in. The other doctor has no time in my eyes if you have a client that’s loyal to you is to come flying through another state. It would seem like you’d be loyal enough to come a half hour early and check out a tooth. I told him I could come anytime of day. It really hurt our hearts, but we won’t be back because I asked the doctor to call me in the front desk girl either never relayed the message or the dentist didn’t care about me as a person enough toCall. So yes, they’re kind but if you ever really needed anything that was outside of their schedule, they won’t oblige and they have a great daycare so it can’t be that. Experiencia fantástica: My experience at True North Dental has been quite pleasant. Dr Tran is so personable and very skilled, was very conscious of my teeth while completing a thorough pain-free cleaning. The office staff are kind and helpful, I very much recommend the team at True North Dental.

Experiencia negativa: At first I was excited and happy to find this provider for my dental needs and was even more enthused after receiving my necessary fillings free of charge (unfortunately I had cavities, TND stated between all teeth). I was trying to move at the time of my initial visit, at the Westminster location and could not stay after the employees had completed one side of my mouth, so I scheduled a second visit to complete the work. The next visit the night before I had symptoms of the flu and called the next morning to let them know, at this time the receptionist told me they had a 24hr? Cancellation policy and I explained that I couldn’t have given them 24hrs as I had just woken up and when I started experiencing symptoms their office was closed. Then the receptionist suggested I reschedule but had to put me on hold first and dropped my call. When I finally made it back for the rest of the fillings, I don’t believe they actually all if the ones I was told I needed and when I was leaving the office they had me pay a $50 fee for the above mentioned cancellation. I had several people needing referrals for either a new dentist or even implants, etc., and would not recommend this practice to friends or family after this terrible experience with True North Dental-it’s disappointing to even think about my time spent there and I hope they do better going forward!

Experiencia fantástica: I have had several cleanings at True North, and all has been great. Dr. Nguyen is very sweet in addition to being a great Dentist. Last week, one of my very old Veneers came off (put on by another dentist 17 years ago). I was hoping to be able to just have it glued back on, but Dr. Tran & Dr. Nguyen explained why that couldn't happen. I was not prepared to pay for a brand new Veneer and I was so worried that it wouldn't match the rest of my teeth. I'm happy to say it was worth it so far. I only have my temporary in, as I am waiting for the lab to make my permanent Veneer. I can't believe how incredible my temporary looks! It matches my other teeth and looks fantastic. Dr. Nguyen cares very much about making sure everything is perfect and I really appreciate that.

Experiencia fantástica: My dentist retired. I found another dentist, but they turned out to be a dentist that was intentionally performing more procedures than necessary (a con artist. This is becoming a problem among dentists, especially if you are self-pay). After they wanted to replace a filling they had replaced less than 2 years prior (they stated fillings only last 2 years), I went to True North. Not only has True North NEVER suggested to replace any of my fillings - and they have never even mentioned anything odd about the newest one the former dentist did and wanted to replace - they have their dentists perform the cleanings. Their practice is top-notch. You can trust them. They are TRUE professionals.

Experiencia fantástica: Clean, modern office that was playing awesome upbeat music. The X-Ray tech, hygienist and dentist were all such a pleasure to deal with! The dentist was gentle and informative and let me know what I need to do better without scolding me. No one likes going to the dentist but some offices make you feel better than others! I love that they have tv screens on the ceiling to entertain you while sitting in the chair. My brother recommended them and now I have told my whole family to go to them! Do not delay- book now!

Experiencia negativa: Your organization practices manipulative sales tactics to gouge your patients! I came in to get fitted for a mouth guard because I clinch my jaw. Obviously the solution is to purchase a mouth guard. One doesn't need advanced training to come up with this solution. After getting $485 out of me for the mouth guard you go a step further to line your pockets. By having your dental assistants inform the patients they also need braces to correct the issue! I don't need braces! I had braces as a teenager and I am purchasing the mouth guard to elevate the clinching based on your "dentists" professional recommendation. Also to top this off, never have I been informed by any other dentist and/or dental practice that I am in need of additional orthodontic care! Your gouging sales tactics reflect the disrespectful stance you practice with all of your patients and your employees.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent dental care here! Both doctors are so competent and friendly as well as all of the staff. Their office is clean and both doctors make recommendations, but there is no sales-y “push” from them. If I needed something, I’m sure they would insist, which is correct from their standpoint. I know I’m in good hands at this office!

Experiencia fantástica: Never had a good experience at a dentist until I came here! Got a teeth clean, and was lucky enough to get seen the day after and get everything I needed to get done. Everything was so fast and easy. The Office is beautiful, very modern, staff is super friendly/caring, and you get to watch Your favorite Netflix show getting your work done! Coming from somebody that has the worst anxiety when it comes to the dentist, I can say at here I fell safe! 10/10 would recommend coming here, no doubt they will be my forever dentist!

Dr. Tran was the first dentist to note that my orthodontist left a little bit of unfinished work (my orthodontist didn't fully smooth out the attachments for my invisalign and the work was originally done around 2008). He suggested smoothing it out, both for cosmetic as well as health reasons (less likely to catch food). When I went home, I asked my wife if she noticed anything different. She said your attachments are gone! Definitely recommend the team at True North Dental.

Experiencia fantástica: I am deadly afraid of the dentist because of bad past experiences. Everyone at True North dental was super friendly and understanding of my anxiety. The Dr was kind and soft handed, the assistant was super aware and very accommodating to my needs. The office is very clean and comfortable. I made another appointment to continue care, which says a lot considering how picky I am with dentists. Thank you for a good dentist experience! Edit to Add 1/31/24 Still one of the best dentist experiences I’ve ever had. We are now in a place where I only need to come to the dentist for cleanings. I do need to come a bit more often than other people because of certain pockets in between my teeth, but I’d rather do that than wait and then have to dig too deep into my gums I am grateful my dentist mentioned that because it makes my visits way less traumatic than if we had to clean even deeper. My insurance only covers a certain amount of cleanings but I am happy to pay for the other ones because it means a healthier mouth and less trauma. I am so so happy I found True North Dental.

Experiencia fantástica: My visit was great! Dr. Tran and his team are really nice and friendly. They addressed all of my concerns and also gave me tips on the correct way to floss with a permanent retainer attached. I felt welcomed and would highly recommend this place.

Dr. Tran just fixed a painful filling that another dentist elsewhere had done. I didn't feel comfortable with the attention to detail and patient care provided at the other dentist's office, so I decided to try True North. I'm glad I did. Two days later and no pain, no sensitivity. Several weeks later and it's like any other filing I've had. Painless. After experiencing the results of his attention to detail and precision, I am confident he's fixed the issue. No questions asked - I certainly feel comfortable getting any other work I might need done at True North by Dr. Tran. I plan to return to True North for routine dental cleanings and checkups. He measures up to any of the best dentists I've visited back home that were very professional, clean, comfortable, state of the art offices and patients with high expectations. Experiencia fantástica: Lovely dental studio, and as someone with a history of terrible dental experiences, I don’t say that lightly. Dr Tran’s approach is straightforward and matter-of-fact, which helps alleviate anxiety. He’s the first dentist to ever give me proactive solutions when the typical brush/floss/mouthwash clearly wasn’t enough, and to truly listen to me and make a plan. Refreshing! I’m only moderately scared of the dentist now instead of utterly terrified - yay Dr Tran ;)

I would have been a great new patient but the fact that they couldn’t do a minor and simple procedure such as cementing a crown surprised me. Front desk said they’re glad someone else will do it for me. I guess I am as well.

Experiencia fantástica: I don't usually write reviews, but feel compelled to after visiting True North Dental. The entire staff is truly exceptional. I have never felt so cared for. I'm treated like family every time I visit. Dr. Bo Tran and Dr. Tram Nguyen are wonderful! They are extremely kind making it easy to see how much they care for their patients and staff. My mom suffers from dementia and the team go out of their way to ensure she feels comfortable and safe. I'm really happy to have found True North Dental.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience of True North Dental Studio has been very positive. I had some reduction in quality of my dental health over the years and also due to not visiting my previous dentist during COVID. Last October after my previous dentist had retired, I broke a tooth while eating an apple and began to search for a good dentist who could meet my dental and oral surgery needs. Dr. Tram Nguen did an outstanding job of extracting my broken tooth; it was better and more thorough than my previous experiences with oral surgeons. Because they were willing to let me be treated in a closed room to reduce possible exposure to COVID, and because of my perceptions of Dr. Tram’s superior skills during this extraction, and because of their willingness to provide me with a cost estimate for the extensive dental work I needed, I decided to go ahead with this additional extensive work. The work included multiple fillings and some more extractions and the building and fitting of partial dentures. The one small criticism I have, was a misunderstanding about a change in the scope of the total work being done. It resulted in roughly an additional thousand dollars in the total cost of the work (for which an additional discount was given). For this reason, I would recommend that if anyone else is having extensive, multi-month work done like mine, it is a good idea to check in occasionally to verify that there have been no changes to the original estimate. I am normally pretty strict in my reviews of people's work, but despite the misunderstanding, I still give them 5 stars. Other than this one miscommunication on cost, there were no extra charges even though a few issues came up, including the need to have a new set of dentures made. The need for the new set of dentures may have been due to an error by the lab that fabricates them but it also resulted in more work for the dental staff. I noticed they seemed to have no need to place blame; only to solve problems and to treat all involved with dignity and respect. From what I saw of how work is done, I would want to work there if I were a dental worker. Miscellaneous things I noticed: • Good teamwork, including when Dr. Bo Tran (the male dentist) was asked to help with a tricky part of taking an impression • Dr. Tram’s freakishly gentle and effective work: I actually did not even feel one of the injections that she gave me in my mouth, and the many (so many other injections) were not bad at all • Their efficiency and promptness: when I had a 10:30 appointment, it started at 10:30 • The genuine friendliness and kindness of the whole staff toward me and each other • They also let me watch Breaking Bad on the overhead TV during my many appointments, which was such an interesting contrast to: the pain that I was not suffering, the lies that I was not being told, and the unhealthy interactions that I was not witnessing…. I’m pretty sure they would let you watch a nice nature program if you would rather not watch a study in contrasts.
