Fantastic experience: Just gad a six month check up. The staff are very pleasant and friendly and very competent. Justine (the hygienist) was very caring and efficient. She took my X-rays and cleaned my teeth. Dr. Ali came in to review the work and brief me on the results. In about 30 minutes i was checking out and setting up my next six month appointment. Great people, highly recommend this practice, thank you.

Fantastic experience: Sheldon Family Dental, Going to the dentist isn’t exactly someone’s idea of a good time. However I do look forward to going to this office because everyone is so nice and professional. Greeted with a smile every time I walk in. The dental assistants, the hygienists, and the dentists are all fabulously friendly people. In addition to this, they are great at running on time, I rarely have to wait at all. They are very efficient and professional. They do great work and even though I don’t live in the neighborhood anymore I will continue going to this office.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed meeting a new dental hygienist yesterday. Because I need a dose of antibiotics before my cleaning, I'm always a little queasy, and she considerately asked about my preferred toothpaste flavor. I explained that intense flavor of any kind makes queasy even queazier. My guess is that she used just enough flavored toothpaste to get the job done well. (Lots of rinses, too!) It was the most comfortable cleaning I can remember. Thanks.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful office, cheerful and great to my whole family! They watch how many times a year we have appointments, coverage etc. and they are good listeners!

Negative experience: The people that work there are nice, however I cannot say the same for the workmanship. I had 3 cavities replaced at their suggestion a year ago. All small ones along the gum line. Since that appointment, all three have fallen out. Multiple times. After the third time I switched to a new dental office and have had no issues since.

Negative experience: Updating my review because of a recent experience. We switched dental insurance this year. Prior to our appointments, we sent over the new insurance details. When confirming our appointment on the phone, I asked whether they had checked our insurance and they said yes, they accept our insurance. Well, that wasn't the whole truth. We were out of network, and they were fully aware of this fact. As a result, we were sent a large bill following our appointments for me, my husband, and our two older kids. This dentist charged $250 PER PERSON for routine cleanings. No x-rays. Literally just cleanings. Our insurance covered only $98 per person and we were stuck with the rest ($586!), since this was an out-of-network provider. When I called the office to discuss, I was told that they did not inform me about being out of network because they believed we would be 100% covered. They said there was no way to know that our insurance paid on a "fee schedule" for out of network providers. However, as people who deal with insurance day in and day out, I simply have to assume they were aware this was a likely possibility, and decided to let us unknowingly accept that financial risk anyways. The office eventually agreed to reduce our bill to $400. While I appreciate the reduced bill, it doesn't change the fact that I just paid an extra $400 for a service that usually wouldn't cost me an extra dime. I have learned a tough and expensive lesson about not relying on your provider to confirm your insurance details. I'm extremely frustrated knowing this all could have been avoided if they had simply told me what they knew: that we were out of network. That, combined with absolutely exorbitant cleaning prices, has changed my viewpoint on this practice. I no longer recommend them and would advise others to avoid coming here.

Fantastic experience: Amazingly friendly dental practice! I've been three times, twice for cleanings and another for a few fillings. Each time, it has been a warm and welcoming experience. They care about their patients, and its clear from the get-go. I'll continue to keep coming back for my twice yearly cleanings and any other dentistry need!

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit today for the extraction of what was left of an upper left bicuspid. The whole visit only took 45 minutes but best of all, PAINLESS. No discomfort. Dr Ali is the man. I'd gladly go back for other work needed in the future.

I’m a nervous nelly when it comes to dental work and the doctors, assistants and hygienists are extremely understanding and make me feel very comfortable. I’ve gone to this practice for many years...since Dr. Hayward owned it, and I highly recommend it. This is an addendum on May 20, 2022: I SO appreciate Dr. Ali and his staff! I'm (relatively) young and it's silly but having a tooth removed in order to get an implant, was very upsetting to me. They were so kind and understanding. Most people don't get a temporary for a molar when getting an implant, but I wanted one. They worked with me to get it to fit and feel comfortable. I got the temporary at 10 o'clock this morning and 2 hours later I don't even notice that it's there! I STILL highly recommend this practice!

Doctor Carla took great care of me today when I came in for the first time in a long time complaining of tooth pain. The whole staff are amazing.

I had to go in as an emergency because I was a bad toothache ( the only time I go to the dentist ) and this office was very welcoming and calming. I just went back again today for a check up and had some more work done and was very relaxed about having it done.
