Fantastic experience: The staff at Great Expression - Livonia North were great. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The hygienist was awesome and did an excellent and professional job cleaning my teeth. All my questions were addressed and suggestions were made for use of my electric toothbrush, flossing and my bite guard was cleaned. Customer service was 100 plus. I will definitely be back - this was my first time.

Negative experience: Not pleased by any means. DDS not always on premises. Very overbooked. Refuses to work with patients who need same day repair and just “consult” instead of actually fixing the problem. This causes you to have to make 3+ appointments for the same problem. When I left today, they didn’t even cement my crown on temporarily. I literally popped it off in the parking lot. This hour and a half appointment was a complete waste of my time.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic once again, beyond my expectations. I showed up 35 minutes early, explained I was early because I was heading north for holiday weekend. I was greeted by assistant within 5 minutes, then hygienist did my cleaning before my routine xrays. I was on road before my scheduled appointment. Great team ! . . . just bummed that dentist has took on practice closer to home, understandable, but she was best in my 25 years of visiting Great Expressions.

Positive experience: Dr. Kambo greeted me as my new dentist. This is a common occurrence at Great Expressions. He seems friendly, knowledgeable & capable & was able to do everything I need for the next step. Dr. Kambo seems to be an excellent dentist & I am considering his advice for more dental work. However, when I was on the phone with the office manager yesterday & I was being encouraged to take the premed for this appointment because there was a possible chance of bleeding when the dentist was”poking around in there.” I was convinced that this woman knew more than I and I took the premed. She should stay out of the business of advising patients & I will never take her advice again. I should have done what my long time dentist in Lexington, KY who was whispering in my ear would have advised me to do which was to carry the pills with me & if there was a reason, then take the medicine during a 4 hour window. Now I have to put up with all the consequences of taking an antibiotic that I didn’t need & there are so many including becoming immune to the effects of antibiotics. Now I will be taking more pills from my regular doctor. This is a circle I don’t need.

Fantastic experience: As a patient for about 4 years now, I drive from 27 miles away to see Dr. Espinosa-Oben. She is honest, consistent, and professional. I never feel rushed. The women in the office are always very friendly, sanitary, and skilled. I recommend this place to everyone, especially after my most recent incident. Dr. Espinosa-Oben fixed my smile after a recent tumble and I could cry I am so happy. Thank you to her and the entire staff for helping in my emergency!

Fantastic experience: I had a filling fall out and called Great Expressions. Livonia North to get a appointment to have it replaced. They were able to give me an appointment the very next day. Everyone at the office was very friendly and I was taken in about 2 minutes after I arrived. The dental assistant and dentist were very efficient at replacing my missing filling. The dentist made sure that the filling was contoured perfectly to prevent any discomfort when biting down. I don't think I could of had a better experience with the entire visit. I highly recommend this office to anyone needing dental care. Al L.

Fantastic experience: I had a broken tooth and was advised to get crown. Dr. Espinoza did a fantastic job. It was pain free and it fits really well. The remains arts wasn't a lot to work with from but she made it happen. I highly recommend her and this office.

Everyone of the ladies provide exceptional service in each of their particular areas. The hygienist is amazingly thorough and kind to all four of my family members. Never thought I would say this but I look forward to my next cleaning. The deserve 10 stars!!!

Negative experience: It is sad to see a previously well managed dental center turning into a training facility that deserves a "must avoid" category. Over the last couple of years, the center regularly embarked on a policy to "upsell" services: multiple unnecessary procedures were "highly recommended"...however the Great Expressions center in Farmington advised against these same procedures. When confronted with this info, the DR and office manager miraculously changed their so called "professional recommendation". In addition, they continously charged for cleaning their dental equipment due to COVID...as if they were not supposed to clean them anyways...Covid or Not. Struggling to keep their front office staff is another indication of a failing center, and yet they keep hiring office managers that are worse than the previous ones. Just transfered permanently to a different and better provider that is more experienced and hires competent office staff who's primary job is to service their patients and not try to sell, sell, sell.

Fantastic experience: Reduced a crown that had come off at no charge. Staff were warm and welcoming. I have confidence in the dental team. Next visit: routine cleaning with x-rays Staff warm, friendly and calming. Resurfaced new crown to even bite-no charge. Dentist explained results of x-ray and proposed a treatment plan, the details of which I did not remember later. SUGGESTION: dentist invite patient to record on iPhone her presentation (phone can translate voice to text) would reduce confusion and engage patient in own care. 0/1/19/22. This addition is from Karin Stratton. I briefly saw the new dentist but I was there for an in depth cleaning of my teeth & gums. The hygienist did a great job & took extra time to make sure that this cleaning was almost painless. I had considered canceling my appointment as I explained but with additional research realized that I really needed this type of cleaning. An my dental hygienist made it a great experience.

Negative experience: I went in for a regular cleaning today and I was basically forced into getting a deep cleaning. The hygienst said she would lose her license if she didn’t do it. I told her I didn’t want a deep cleaning I only want a regular cleaning. She took her gloves off and said I can’t work on you today. Me, the nice person that I am went ahead and allowed her to do it even thought my insurance wasn’t going to cover all of it. As she’s doing my cleaning one of my fillings came out and they refused to replace it for free. After going back and forth with them without any result I walked out with a big hole in my back tooth. They didn’t even care when I told them I was going to sue and they’re taking a big chance that I may get an infection and end up with a bigger lawsuit. They are the worst and all 6 members of my family will be leaving them after 20+years. Don’t go to great expression all they want is money they don’t care about patients. If I could give a zero I would.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to GE Livonia for 2 years consistantly and it's been great. They've taken me from an emergency case to health clean teeth. I'm always seen on time, in and out quick and easy. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. 5-star service imo. 2024 Update: I love going to Livonia North office, the front desk staff and Hygienist Anitra are the best. They are friendly, fast and informative with tips to keep good maintenance between appointments. The scheduling is great too with text messages and reminder calls. I hated going to the dentist until I've been going to Great Exressions Livonia North!
