Fantastic experience: I'm not big on dentists like most people and for being my very first visit to a new dentist, obviously I was more anxious about it. Lake Mountain Dental would be an exception of a good dentist experience. Very friendly and I was in and out pretty quick. Information was straightforward and honest too, which was appreciated.

Negative experience: I am almost 18 years old and I cannot recommend this office based on my experience. I went in for a root canal, and the assistant asked if I had been numbed. I told them no and that I’m resistant to local anesthetics and often require extra time or additional numbing, when they numbed me I was only given 3-5 minutes and it wasn't enough to offer even a bit of relief, I didn’t feel like my concerns were taken seriously. I was already crying from pain when my mom came in, saw what was happening, and asked them to give me nitrous to help calm me down. They initially refused and argued with her for several minutes before finally agreeing. Even though I was still clearly in distress and didn’t feel numb, they began drilling. I tried to communicate that I was in pain and wanted them to stop, but I was told to stop moving instead. During the procedure, I lost consciousness. Whenever I started to wake up, I remember feeling intense pain before passing out again. When the procedure was finally over, they woke me up, and I immediately started crying again. Then I was told they had forgotten something and needed to continue. I was sobbing and in so much pain that they had to pry my mouth open to finish. This isn’t the first time I’ve had problems with dental work at this office, but it will absolutely be my last visit. The front desk staff and dental assistants were kind and respectful, which is the only reason I’m not directing this review at the entire office. Unfortunately, my experience with the dentists was unacceptable. I felt ignored, dismissed, and left to endure severe pain during a procedure that should have been properly managed.

Negative experience: From my first visit, I felt pressured to purchase services, teeth cleaning supplies, and orthodontics. It was like being on a used car lot. And, the services seemed more expensive than I'm used to. This visit (routine-six month check-upandcleaning) , on the phone, the receptionist was rude. The final straw was how much the hygienist hurt me. I have an extremely high pain threshold, so i can put up with a lot, but it was so painful that I had to ask her to stop a couple of times. It's been an hour since they finished, and my teeth still hurt. I won't be going back

Fantastic experience: Dr. Joey and staff are so friendly and attentive. I felt very seen and understood not just as a patient but as a person. Thank you for an awesome experience!

Negative experience: They advertise their business hours, but when calling to schedule an appointment they are closed on a clearly advertised time they are open. I guess the dentist decided to simply not show up.

Fantastic experience: I had a GREAT experience at Lake Mountain Dental. I’d recently had a poor experience with a dental hygienist, which was a first. I changed dentists as a result and was really happy with my choice. Lake Mountain Dental was GREAT. Brooklyn was my hygienist and she was kind and informative and did amazingly work cleaning my teeth. It has been awhile and my teeth were pretty yellow. I came out of the cleaning with white teeth because of her care. I was still apprehensive about the dentist but Doctor Turnow was thorough and kind. I’ve already set up my follow up

Fantastic experience: I am currently in town from Texas visiting my daughter and her family. I woke up in the middle of the night in excruciating tooth pain. I went to Lake Mountain Dental’s website, send a text in well before 8am & they had me in the office before 9am. Everyone in this office is friendly, compassionate and professional. I would definitely recommend them. I plan on using them whenever I’m in Utah visiting.

I have never had good luck with the dentist until today. Dr. Michael Tornow, DMD is beyond amazing! He truly listened to my needs and fixed a problem with my tooth that three other dentists in the area were unable to do. It took him less than two minutes. The integrity of the staff truly is amazing! I cannot wait until my next appointment!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tornow and his staff are wonderful to work with. Everyone in the office is helpful and outgoing. The office is very clean and comfortable with lots of open chairs to serve multiple patients at a time. Being a new office that serves Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs, Lake Mountain Dental is accepting new patients of all ages. I took my son in to have his wisdom teeth pulled and discovered that I could have a teeth cleaning at the same time. Dr. Tornow provides state of the art imaging and IV sedation to make each dental visit a pleasant one. I'm happy to have found a conveniently located dental practice that offers general dentistry, wisdom teeth removal, and dental implants all from the same place.

Positive experience: Dr. Tornow and his staff are very friendly and helpful. He came across as very proactive instead of reactive, feel like that's always important when picking a dentist. I chose to go to this office a few times for different concerns. Initially for a crown repair as my dentist was closed and was considering switching since they were in network. The crown was done well though the process felt a bit green since I had to go in a few times for adjustments and to have the tooth smoothed, no complaints after it was finalized. This was right after they opened mind you and they seemed more together in following visit. At the end of they day even being in network they tend to somehow be more expensive than my out of network dentist and you can expect them to stick to their policies. I would tend to get "extra" charges after work had been done since the insurance didn't ever seem to pay what they expected. With their help I finally concluded I'd be sticking with my dentist even though he's out of network. I'd scheduled a second opinion and the day of my appointment I got a notification that it'd be over $300 just to be seen because I'd reached my examination limit. This felt outlandish to me because they hadn't even seen me, didn't know what was going on, and I wasn't even sure if they could help me. I was able to be seen at another location without this "required" cost that they were pushing. At the end of the day this is a business and it's ran like one, your wellbeing is secondary.

Fantastic experience: Texted them at two AM with severe tooth pain, they messaged back an hour before they even opened and schedule me right in at open for an emergency double root canal. Took great care of me at 27 weeks pregnant. Very friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: I really like Dr. Tornow and his staff. I had been going to my past dentist for years, and he retired, so I gave these folks a try. The office staff has been exceptionally helpful and friendly, and those working on my teeth have done a great job. The staff went out of their way to help me find a good specialist. The cleaning I got was very well done and Dr. Tornow does great work and really seems to care. I love the new office, modern equipment and modern methods. I feel they have been honest with me as well.

Fantastic experience: The staff is really friendly. They prioritize the patients comfort and safety at all times. The office is kept really nice and clean. My visits have been pleasant, considering it’s a dentist office. Only warning is that they are pretty strict on their 48 hour cancellation policy. The $95 is heavily enforced so plan accordingly.

Fantastic experience: My wife saw this dentist for the time yesterday. They were phenomenal. They Dealt with my wife’s needs and helped her accordingly. They let us wait in office comfortably in a room for an extended amount of time (offered us blankets and water etc) so that they had time to pull 2 teeth rather than just the one initially planned. She’s in a bit of pain today as expected but the work they did was great and they went out of their way to help us and be accommodating and understanding. We highly recommend and will be going back for all future dental care for sure!

Fantastic experience: Was greeted with kindness and quick service. Scheduled a teeth cleaning as a second opinion since the last dental office I saw told me I was at the beginning stages of periodontal disease and refused a cleaning on me and convinced me I needed a periodontal cleaning worth $1k. After Lake Mountain Dental completed my cleaning and the dentist told me my teeth were in great shape (other than grinding), I informed them of being told about needing a periodontal cleaning and they said absolutely not, that my gums/teeth are nowhere near those stages of needing that type of cleaning and that everything actually looked really good, other than recommending a mouth guard at night for grinding. So, thank you Lake Mountain Dental for saving me an unnecessary $1k!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had bad experiences in the past with other dental offices and was nervous coming to this place but to my surprise this place was great! They are very welcoming and nice and the dentist was super cheerful and easy going. From the beginning to the end of my appointment 10/10.

Negative experience: I had 3 fillings here, I had to redo all 3, one had a cracked filling and another tooth was cracked. It may not have been the dentists fault but it’s weird how I had pain in all 3 fillings. I’d go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: The staff was super friendly and informative throughout the process. They checked my blood pressure which a dental office has never done for me before. After my dental cleaning the doctor did a wellness check including a mouth cancer screening among other health checks. I’m over 40 and have always had regular dental cleanings but never ever had a mouth cancer screening. Anytime a doctor gives me a free cancer screening I’m on board. I appreciate the thoroughness and extra wellness checks beyond cleaning my teeth and sending me off.
