Negative experience: In December, I had my initial exam and a dental cleaning at Everett Family Dental. I was very happy with my first visit and felt well taken care of. During the exam, I was told that I needed a root canal. Because I trusted the team, I came back in February to have the root canal done. Unfortunately, after the procedure, I had to return several times because I continued to have pain when chewing and sensitivity to hot and cold. Each time I went back, they saw me, but the problem was never completely resolved. I am still experiencing pain today. I don’t know if the pain is coming from the tooth that had the root canal or the tooth next to it, which had no issues during my initial exam. Before the root canal, I had never experienced this kind of pain. I scheduled another appointment on July 6 because I wanted to find out what was causing the pain. When I arrived, I explained everything that had been happening, but I was told they would only evaluate me if I paid $170 for a cleaning first. I was very disappointed. I don’t think it’s fair to be charged to investigate a problem that started after treatment performed at this office. I wasn’t asking for a cleaning—I simply wanted them to determine why I am still in pain and whether it is related to the root canal or another issue. Since I have been reporting this pain since the beginning of my treatment, I expected them to stand behind their work and evaluate the problem without charging me again. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in the practice. My goal with this review is not to harm anyone, but to find a fair solution. I hope Everett Family Dental will contact me and reevaluate my case without an additional charge so we can understand the cause of this ongoing pain and finally resolve the issue.

Negative experience: So I'm actually very deeply disappointed and just frustrated with the way things operate here now. I had masahealth at the time of my visit. They billed me incorrectly and not only that, they sent over mail to a complete stranger assuming this was me receiving the mail, whoever the incompetentdesk worker was they had working there two years ago incorrectly put in my address considering she had my ID right in front of her face to plug in the informationand they've been Sending all my mail to the incorrect address. They tell me they've been trying to reach out to me for over a year, but they had my phone number, Why didn't they call me? They never bothered trying to reach out to me because they've been sending out all this mail. They said they couldn't get a hold of me so they had sent it to the collection agency and for some reason they keep acting like it's out of their control but if you guys billed me incorrectly, FIX YOUR MISTAKE! It has nothing to do with me because I've reached out to masshealth countless of times and they told me that they have no issue claiming the bill, they said they were waiting on the dentist to reach out and she never did. I honestly think the workers over here are so incompetent. They don't even care about their patients honestly, I'm really starting to think they're just in it for the money and I've never been so disappointed with the business before. I highly don't recommend come here, if you don't want any billing issues. I have been going here since I was literally a child and grew my teeth in it. It's very unfortunate this is where this has to end, I don't know if this place is under new management, but I wish it can go back to the way it used to be because there was never problems like this I'm honestly thinking About having my lawyer look into this, it's unbelievable that I'm stuck with a bill that I'm definitely not paying for! I would just take your business elsewhere if you're looking for a good dentist that actually cares about you and your teeth and not the financial part of it! Currently seeking for a new dentist. I think I'm going to have to contact the Dentistry board for this. I'm going through the reviews and I see so many negative reviews about insurance and billing so now that I see that I'm not alone in this and this has continuously been happening. I'm going to make sure something is done about this.

Negative experience: Called me one hour before my Mom's appointment and stated the doctor had an emergency and needed to reschedule. Keep in mind this appointment is for excruciating tooth pain and the tooth needs to be extracted which they are well aware of. So is she supposed to stay in pain for days?! In January they also canceled her scheduled appointment as the doctor had another emergency. They need to do better!

Fantastic experience: Very nice staff. I am neurodivergent and get anxious at dentists but when they did work, there was never any shame and I was allowed to put in my headphones and play music while they did work to help calm me down. Michelle especially is extremely kind, she makes sure to call me if there’s updates or needs to reschedule and every time I come in to the building she automatically remembers me which makes check ins quick and easy.

Fantastic experience: The office is always clean and the staff is incredibly friendly. Michelle helped me with planning my treatment and made the financial process really easy and stress-free. She was patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Overall, a great experience and a great team.

Negative experience: The communication is terrible. They made referrals, but there was no communication between this place and where they referred me. My original dentist moved into a different office and I wasn’t told, so my new dentist had me in the office for an hour not knowing anything I need and sent me home with nothing done because of the lack of preparation and equipment. They even canceled my cleaning 30 minutes before my appointment needing to reschedule with no explanation. I don’t recommend the confusion and frustration.

Negative experience: I have been going here since 2019. They used to be the best. Not anymore the receptionists are sadist. I think they enjoy pain. They sure put me through it. They made me wait 40 days for an appointment. Then when I had it it was booked for a cleaning not to see a dentist. The dentist saw me and apologized. She wrote me an antibiotic medication. I asked to have it sent to my pharmacy. The receptionist stated we don't do that go and you only have to wait like 30 minutes. Mean while my face is swollen and I am in pain. I could not wait to post this complaint. The dentist, dental hygienist are the best The whole place is clean and brand new. They also use the newest technology. I love this place. I dislike the receptionist. Please give them an opportunity and try to get by my horrible experience. It's worth it. Just stand up to the bully receptionist

Negative experience: It is their responsibility to verify insurance and tell you the correct amount for services. They cannot charge you a different amount months down the line this is illegal and this place should be shut down. If you are being charged illegally , REPORT THEM TO THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND THE DENTAL BOARD! They are falsifying bills constantly look at the reviews and they will only be stopped once they are repeatedly reported. DO NOT let them scam you, they are incompetent and committing fraud which is illegal. You work hard for your money and should not let these monsters steal from you. Report them today they won’t get away with this!

Negative experience: Been asking for months for an optimized receipt for a procedure that happened last year that apparently had extra work done that my insurance didn't cover. So now I got a bill for something that DOES NOT say what it is for. IDC what they say over the phone. I want a bill in writing that states what this is for. Also, how can a statement date and due date be the same? Is this in collections or not? If it is then we got a serious problem because I never received an optimized bill.

Positive experience: I’ve been coming here for my treatment and I love the staff inside that works on your teeth. The workers at the front desk are always noisy. Today, my appointment was at 4pm. As soon I walked in the lady was on the phone so I sat infront and let her finish before she could assist me. When she was done, she didn’t assist me and I wanted to wait longer until she finally get to call me up. 4:10pm, I stood up and asked “am I check in already or are you planing to call me”. She said what time is my appointment and I said it’s at 4pm. I noticed she keeps going outside taking personal calls. While waiting to be called in, I’m overhearing a Male employee expressing his concern of not being comfortable doing his job or a certain task. It seems like someone gave him a task and he was so loud saying how uncomfortable he feels of what he needs to do? I think he’s new, but most of the time was how the male front worker was expressing his feelings of what he’s doing and does not like it. Lastly, I had to call to follow up on my cleaning. Little did I not know, I was overdue last November (6 months) ago and no one notified me until I had to make the call wondering why I havnt gotten a reminder. Usually they there is always text reminder or a phone call before the appointment date. The spokesperson said “it was my responsibility to remember” I said yes absolutely my fault for that, but I can’t really keep track for 6 months. So I’m not sure if the front people are really working here or paying attention to clients office visits. But the staffs at the inner back, the doctors, the hygienist, omg they are amazing, very outspoken & friendly.

Negative experience: I wanted to share my very negative experience with a dental practice in Everett. I would strongly advise against going there. In my opinion, their billing practices seem very dishonest. They appear to shift the blame to your insurance coverage, even though it should be their responsibility to verify your benefits before providing any services and to bill you accurately. My personal experience with them has been a complete nightmare, and I feel they are operating unethically.

Fantastic experience: I was extremely satisfied with my recent dental cleaning experience. The hygienist was professional, gentle, and thorough, making sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain each step and gave me helpful tips for maintaining good oral hygiene. My teeth feel incredibly clean, and I truly appreciated the care and attention to detail. Negative experience: The girl in the front need a training, she need to know how to talk to customer and deal with patients. They take you insurance card upfront and tell you everything is ok,and after service they charges you again. 5times that happened to me. Doctor is good. But girl in the front 0. She checked and tell you everything covered when than, they charge you.

Immediately the staff welcomed me like I was A client for many years, the staff there is great. Anytime I have an appointment they make sure to call me two days in advance . Being as busy as I am they always work me into the schedule for whatever my needs are at that time !!! the staff are great and my dentist is even better! Positive experience: I’d like to start off by saying I have ptsd from a dentist I used to see as a child, so when I was an adult I found a dentist and just stayed with them ever since. Due to a dental emergency I called my dentist & they couldn’t see me. So, I called a few places and finally I got an appointment for the next day. I had an emergency appointment and when I arrived no other patients were there & I received a call prior to this saying they could take me early. From the moment I walked in the staff was great and the dentist was very nice, he was also very calming (nothing I’ve ever experienced at a dentist). Not to mention the procedure turned out extremely well, he is an excellent dentist. The entire staff that was there had an amazing demeanor with the patients and their dynamics as co-workers was flawless. However, as I was waiting to be seen (in the chair) I was asked if I could leave and come back 4 hours later which I could not, I had a prior engagement and no way back there. I ended up being there for 3 1/2 hours for a minor procedure. Aside from the whole time issue, I have to say it was by far the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. I would give them 5 stars, but because of the whole time issue I have to give them 4. Furthermore, I would just like to again, thank the entire staff at Everett Family Dental for their professionalism and friendly demeanor. I think I have a new dentist!!

Fantastic experience: I feel like I should have given a review before because 5 stars sometimes feel like an exaggeration but here it is not. TL;DR: if you are considering switching, do it. I have a fear of dentists. This was made worse when an Army dentist cracked my root during what should have been a routine filling. Then I had a horrible experience with another MA dentist. Switching to Everett Family Dental has me nigh skipping to my appointments. They offer the exact right balance of friendly and professional which alleviates my stress. They have fixed the ongoing (10 year) nightmare of root canal and broken crowns by... I guess general professional competency. The balance of being great at dental work and also kind is a novelty to me but you too can have this experience. Bonus: if it's not entirely woman-staffed it's majority woman staffed which makes it feel so safe and comfortable. Second bonus: yes it's very clean and I actually like the modified open bay layout

Negative experience: I went in for a cavity filling. The price is very high for their service. The dentist bumped her tools on my lips a few times, her assistant kept insisting on asking where I am from. The front desk told me I was not gonna be in a contract if I paid with their family plan. on which I'm still getting charges on after a year. if you call with a complain all they said is I got to call costumer service which is no help. Bad service and misleading information to put you in a contract, and force u into payments.

I randomly chose Everett Family Dental to be closer to home and I am so happy I did! Everyone at the front desk is so very friendly! They always meet my availability. Negative experience: A few months back l went to EFD for a consultation to have two teeth removed. I filled out the paperwork and gave my insurance information. The day of the procedure I paid the agreed amount in full thinking all was well. About month later I received a letter pertaining to an outstanding balance. I eventually went back to ask what the balance was for. I information wasn't available at the time but I was told it might have to do with my insurance. In my experience practitioners generally work fees out with insurance companies before any services are rendered. I read some reviews of other patients going through similar situations. One mentioned that the cost is just an "estimate". Maybe if I asked how much it would be beforehand, which I did not do. The money isn't the point. It's just a poor business practice.
