North Providence Dental Associates

Positive experience: Update August 2026: Unfortunately I have to change my review - they have decided to no longer take out-of-state BCBS insurance, meaning I'm being penalized for having an out-of-state employer and now need to find a new dentist after being a patient for years. And they didn't even bother to ask if I want to cancel my upcoming appointment. Been a patient for a few years now - they're always kind and welcoming. As a person who has a lifelong dislike of going to the dentist, but does it anyway, they've consistently provided the least stress-inducing dental work I've ever had. Julia is great, and having just met Dr. Liu for the first time, he was a very nice guy. Happy to be a patient!

Fantastic experience: My toddler and I started going to NP dental last year and they have been amazing overall. They are so great with my daughter and she actually enjoys going to the dentist because of them.

Fantastic experience: The cleaning and visit with Dr. Liu was great. I only had a slight problem with checkout. While the receptionist was trying to schedule my next appointment, another office worker came to her with an issue about another patient. I was standing there for a good while, while they tried to resolve the issue. As a result, I believe, of her divided attention, she scheduled my next appointment and put someone else’s name on my appointment card. Not only was I waiting extra time, the intrusion caused her to become distracted. Not a huge deal, but I feel it was a bit rude to the patient standing at her window waiting for an appointment, and could have been a mixup in scheduling rather than just a wrong name.

Fantastic experience: From the time I walked in the door till the time I left it was wondering, they are caring and warm . Very friendly & kind . The hygientist took her time and explained step-by-step what she was doing, and she was very gentle she was very sweet and accommodating to my needs . The front desk gentleman was very professional and knowledgeable he what my medical covers for my next visit so I didn't have to worry about it . Wouldn't be looking for a new practice anytime soon !

Fantastic experience: I believe hygienist was very thoughtful and very through with my cleaning! She also discovered a small cavity before finishing my cleaning. I’m very satisfied and she deserves a job well done from the dental practice!

Fantastic experience: I normally never write reviews good or bad but the service I have gotten at north providence dental warrants one. Everyone I have come in contact with is super friendly and helpful. From the front desk, to the hygienists and the dentists. I have yet to have nothing short but a great experience. Other dentists I have gone to often made me feel bad about my oral hygiene but here they tell me plans on how to improve without being insulting. I recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist!

Fantastic experience: Best dental cleaning I ever received was today with Isabel. She was gentle, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable the entire time and explained everything clearly. I highly recommend Isabel. She is an asset to the company. Don't ever lose her. One last comment is 7 am is very convenient for working people as well!!!

Negative experience: My hygienist Lisa for over 38 yrs was not in. The hygienist who saw me was ok, not warm and friendly at all. She did not introduce me to the new dentist. Cleaning felt very rushed for the first time ever! She also used a cleaning device to clean my teeth for the first time ever, even though i have very sensitive teeth and gums. It wasn’t explained to me at all, until ai asked about it! I miss Lisa and pray she returns to provide genuine quality care in a professional atmosphere!!!!

She explained treatment options, and really heard my concerns and opinions on how to move forward. I cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I had sleepless nights for more than a week due to excruciating pains from a stubborn tooth. I was directed to these office, the following day I felt like one released from captivity! Now, I’m free from pains and my body calmed down.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to N. Providence Dental for 38 years, bringing my children who still go to that same office as adults. My granddaughter also gets her dental health care there as well. For 38 years I have trusted the dentists and the hygienists who have taken care of us this entire time. Everyone there is so kind and caring and treat you like you are family. We have been seeing a very special hygienist from the beginning and she is phenominal-Lisa S!! Fantastic experience: I had Isabelle as my hygienist and she was absolutely lovely! The whole process was so easy from start to finish, everyone was so nice. Beware that coverage is changing soon and also there’s a pediatric dental clinic on the first floor (this one’s on the second floor) But that’s not really their fault so still 5 stars.

Negative experience: They cancelled my appt and made a new one without asking me. I told them I only wanted an appt with Dr D’Amato (he’s the best) and they said he’s no longer here, and then they kept trying to get me to make an appt with them. I know he’s at the East Greenwich office now (even though they never mentioned that to me) and I had to ask 3 times before they finally gave me the EG office #, and I said I’m switching over to there. The office isn’t the same anymore.

Fantastic experience: I went for a cleaning. My regular hygienist Lisa was not there, but I was very pleased with the hygienist that cleaned my teeth, Felicia. As always, Dr. Lu has such a great personality. He checked my teeth and sent me on my way. I've been going to North Providence Dental Associates from BEFORE it was North Providence Dental Associates, and I'm always pleased!

Fantastic experience: My first visit there, not having seen a dentist in a year and a half Bethanny is a fantastic hygienist and Dr. Mac was gracious and terrific! I highly recommend their practice! I've now been back for filings and cleanings and always feel taken care of! Just had my first cleaning with Isabel who was wonderful! 1/22/26 - Had a great cleaning with Isabel and a follow up with Dr. Rogers. Great staff that do great work!

Fantastic experience: My first visit to this office and I found it to be a well recieved experience. the staff was courtious and the doctor was very customer friendly ( spoke it real terms ). Also they extended me a favor by expediting a procedure.

Fantastic experience: Very courteous and professional medical staff. The office handles insurance claims very well; new enlarged location is very nice. Had my bi-annual cleaning this month, Jan ‘26. Did not have to wait beyond my scheduled appointment times. Checked by the Dentist after the cleaning and had some X-Rays taken. Very impressed with the professional service.

Negative experience: This place is nothing like it used to be. I traveled across the state after moving to stay with them because of their kindness, friendliness, Customer Service and family business vibe. Since all the key employees and the original owner have left, this place is no different than any money gouging medical office. Surprise billing, lack of customer service. If you want to be considered just a number, this is your place! 12/25

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to a dentist since pre-pandemic. I was experiencing pain with some of my teeth and was lucky enough to get an appointment at North Providence Dental Associates. My first appointment was with Paige and Dr. Cochran. Both of them were very easy to talk too and they were great with the way they explained things, which makes the process that much better. I was fortunate enough to schedule a cleaning on the same day and saw Felicia, who was also great. Again, she was very easy to talk to. She explained every step she was doing before she started and also during the time she was working on my teeth. All three professionals I saw made the 2 visits a great experience. From the folks at check-in desk to the folks at the check-out desk everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend going to this practice.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit and I am happy I chose NPDA. The communication was great so booking an appointment was nice and easy. The wasn’t tedious but allowed them to gather the info they needed to treat me and the customer service was phenomenal from the moment I walked in. I was anxious walking in but was made comfortable as soon as I sat in the chair. I know I’m in great hands.

Fantastic experience: (Never thought I’d say this about a dentist office but….) Love love love this office! Sabrina is wonderful- so understanding and sweet! And then Julia… omg I love her! For patients who’ve had dental trauma in the past, she’s your answer- she is so communicative, caring and just a lovely human. She meets you exactly where you are and tries her best to keep it pain-free as possible. These ladies make 8am dentist appointments like the best way to start the day also, Dr. Wu- so amazing! He takes his time to explain and educate. Highly recommend!
