Negative experience: I would give them 0 Stars If I Could!! I am beyond disappointed with Pediatric Dentistry Limited in Providence. As a parent of two children who both received care here, I was shocked to receive a letter abruptly “dismissing” my daughter from their practice — while my other child remains accepted — simply because we canceled a couple of appointments during a very difficult time for our family. THEY CLAIMED THEY HAD TRIED TO DISMISS MY CHILD IN PREVIOUS LETTERS. Letters that I never received for the past two years. They even claimed in the mail that I haven't Contacted them, When I always notified them when needed reschedule. My husband is currently undergoing cancer treatment, and like any family balancing serious medical care, occasional scheduling issues happen. Instead of compassion or a simple conversation, this office chose to completely terminate my daughter’s care by mail, without ever calling to check on our situation or offer a solution. This experience was cold, unempathetic, and unprofessional. No parent should have to explain their family’s medical hardships just to be treated with basic understanding. This practice certainly lacks of kindness and flexibility!! Families deserve providers who care about people, not just punctuality. Unfortunately, These doctors seem to view patients as numbers and insurance claims rather than children and families who trust them with care. They don't treat people-- they treat charts, Quotas and Statistics.

Negative experience: We had the worst experience with the front desk receptionist. She was very rude and unprofessional. My husband brought our daughter there for an appointment but had forgotten the insurance cards. She could have easily looked it up but decided to give him a hard time instead. So they left. I know it was our fault for forgetting the cards but she sent us a bill for being non compliant. I called to see if there was anything I could do to resolve the bill. I was met with an immediate attitude. Instead of patience, kindness and understanding, she was one of the most unprofessional front desk person I had ever encountered. My daughter will not be returning to this office.

Negative experience: I recently went there alongside my sister and my nephew.. I was so excited for his first visit but unfortunately it did not go as planned. Dr Fotini is a complete nightmare. She yelled at my nephew for being scared for his first visit… then yelled at my sister (nephews mom) because she asked dr fotini to not yell at him. I thought it would stop there but it didn’t.. She treats her assistants very badly. Yelling at them, making them do all of her work, and telling us that it’s their fault she’s running behind. She also talked to the front desk girls like they’re trash. I was being checked out next to another set of patients and she yelled at the poor front desk girl to figure out her schedule and just get them in and that she didn’t care… Your front desk should NEVER be treated that way when they are the ones keeping the show going. The poor girl looked defeated and tried to keep a smile but you could tell she had enough. I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE TO BE SEEN BY DR FOTINI. The dental board should be ashamed for making her president. I will be filing a complaint and going to a different office.

Negative experience: I am writing this review with deep frustration and sadness after a truly upsetting visit to the Providence office today. My daughter had an appointment with Dr. Fontini for a routine filling — a procedure that, as any parent knows, can be scary for a child. What happened today was not just unprofessional, but completely inexcusable behavior from someone in pediatric care. To give some context, we have been loyal patients at this dental practice for over five years. We have always trusted this office with our daughter's dental care, but today’s experience completely shattered that trust. From the moment the procedure began, it was clear my daughter was anxious. She was scared, as many children are when they know a drill will be used. Instead of offering comfort or reassurance the very basics of pediatric bedside manner, Dr. Fontini immediately became aggressive, impatient, and incredibly rude. When my daughter began to cry out of fear, Dr. Fontini raised her voice, telling her that she was “not allowed to cry” and that she had other patients to take care of. She then said, and I quote: “Either you stop or you don’t get the filling.” At that point, my daughter was already partially numb, scared, and now being publicly scolded by the person who was supposed to be helping her. This was not only deeply upsetting as a parent, it was traumatizing for my child. We ended up leaving the office without completing the filling, with my daughter still numb, confused, and in tears. To make matters worse or perhaps more telling, multiple members of the staff, including dental assistants and front desk employees, acknowledged how out of line Dr. Fontini was. They quietly apologized and agreed that her behavior was absolutely inappropriate. Yet Dr. Fontini herself showed zero remorse. No apology, no understanding — just cold dismissal. We are devastated to have had this experience after years of being dedicated patients. This is not just about a bad day or a moment of impatience, it’s about a complete lack of compassion and professionalism from someone in a position of care for vulnerable children. To any parent considering this office especially for a nervous or sensitive child. I urge you to look elsewhere. No child should ever be treated like this, and no parent should have to watch their child be humiliated and mistreated by someone they trusted. What happened today was not just disappointing, it was damaging. And we will not be returning.

Negative experience: Dr Fontini caused my 6 year old son severe dental trauma. From the start the practice was clear that they did not use nitrous oxide which at the time I preferred to avoid. I had made the assumption that they were in business for so long, had good reviews and so must be skilled in making sure they didn't cause trauma to children. Instead we arrived into a very rushed/hectic feeling environment and I was told by Dr Fontini to "hold his hands down". He wailed out in pain from the novicaine shot (note: he previously had a very positive prior novicaine experience with another dentist where he was just mildly uncomfortable). Then he wailed out again as his tooth was extracted. He was clearly not properly numbed when the extraction was done. From that point forward, he no longer let anyone in his mouth. Very long story short, we ended up having to have him go under anesthesia to get the rest of his dental work done. Big regret to have ever seen Dr Fontini. I hope she shifts to taking more time with each child, considers using things like nitrous oxide or makes other changes to her approach to have a better respect for the child's experience. I'm more informed now and found an incredible pediatric dentist who is very tuned into how my son is feeling and really puts the effort into making it as pleasant of an experience as it can be. Our new dentist said he has dealt with a lot of traumatized kids coming from Dr Fontini so I'm surprised to see so many positive google reviews.

Negative experience: They just lost a customer because the receptionist didn't do her job. They called me to confirm an appointment, I told them I wasn't going to make it. Next thing i know they are sending me a letter saying I owe them $50 for a missed appointment. They also told me they will withhold my daughter's records unless I say the fee. Totally unprofessional and unfair. Plenty of other good dentists in my area!

Negative experience: Avoid This Office – Disorganized and Uncaring I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience at this pediatric dentist’s office. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that patient care was not their priority. The reception staff was inattentive, barely acknowledging us when we checked in. Once we got called in, the waiting game began! The hygienist was late with the numbing ointment, the dentist was late to administer anesthesia and disappeared after that leaving my child waiting and anxious for over an hour. The worst part? Because of their delays, my child had to receive anesthesia twice just to get through a cavity filling. That is completely unacceptable. The whole visit took three hours—an outrageous amount of time for a young child to endure for a procedure that should have been quick and efficient. And despite all this, they had the audacity and suggested we reschedule again after already making us wait far too long. This office is disorganized, inconsiderate, and clearly does not respect their patients’ time. I will not be bringing my child back here, and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a pediatric dentist who actually prioritizes their young patients.

Fantastic experience: They’re nice there. Cute little play stuff in the waiting room. No complaints! :) They had a painting in the waiting room that was made by an elephant which I thought was really cool

Negative experience: Strongly not recommended! The dentist displayed extreme rudeness and disrespect. Obviously, she lacks interpersonal skills.

Fantastic experience: We took our daughter for her first visit at 13 months, which went well. She returned today for her second appointment, and the first time as a toddler with a lot of teeth. The hygienist was amazing, showing her all of the tools ahead of time and allowing her to interact/play with them. She was given a lot of choice in flavors used and chose her own tooth brush and balloon at the end. We saw Dr Ellis, who has been great each time. This appointment was definitely made so successful by the child-friendly approach the staff took! I’d recommend here to others who want a positive first trip(s) to the dentist with their little ones.

Negative experience: Getting an appointment is difficult and every appointment, no matter for what, you’re there for over an hour!! This was my last visit. I will be changing providers.

Negative experience: My wife and child just left this place due to a rude and disrespectful dentist (Dr Lasser) who struggles with interpersonal skills. For a mother to have to remove herself and her child from a medical office without service due to poor treatment is completely uncalled for. We won’t be back and neither should you.

Fantastic experience: My child had her first visit today. I am so happy I chose this place for her to go to. The staff are great and make your child feel so comfortable, very patient. Dr.Fotini and hygienist was great! My daughter was so comfortable and not scared as it was her first time at a dentist. Great place for pediatrics dentistry!

Negative experience: Im a parent of a child who’s doctor was Dr. Fotini. All I must say is don’t bring you children here if they’re scared of the dentist or doctors, or really don’t in general. Dr. Fotini treats the children who are scared horribly and extremely disrespectfully, my daughter left crying because of the treatment from Dr. Fotini. You would think a professional and educated doctor would know how to handle children when they are a pediatric dentist. But not Dr. Fotini. Do not bring ur children here horrible staff and doctors, overall bad environment. I know this is a one star review but if it could be zero it would’ve.

Negative experience: This directed towards Dr.Fotini. She is the worst and I mean worst dentist I have ever been to! I went to her twice before switching (best decision of my life). The first time was not the worst because Dr.Fotini was barely present. But, I did need an x-ray and the assistant took about 10 centuries before I had to go get her and she scolded me to go back and immediately sit down. Not to mention they gave my mom a sheet of things she shouldn’t be giving us like juice. Which basically just made me uncomfortable and made her feel like a bad parent. But the second time oh the second time omg. I was getting a cavity pulled (which was a baby tooth and was already wiggly) and I began to cry because I was scared of the shot. She then proceeded to kick my mom out of the room because “she was making me scared” which was 100% untrue which she then learned when she left I spit out the peices of guaze and she then yelled at me and said she was gonna come back after her patients at 7pm (its was around 3pm). She came back about 1 minute later. And she tried again but I refused so she said I could make another appointment but, the tooth just feel out by itself and a 11 year old girl extracted it by herself without a “professional trained doctor”. I then switched this is a horror story never go here!

Fantastic experience: I am adding on to my original review from last year. I wish I could give this practice more than 5 stars. My son had an accident the day after Christmas and broke his two front teeth in a jagged and severe way. Audra, the receptionist/ scheduler extraordinaire, orchestrated squeezing us in to be seen even though they were already maxed out with appointments with the week following Christmas since the kids are out of school. Jessica and Dr. Fotini, performed the cosmetic procedure with incredible skill and acumen. It was truly like watching a well-rehearsed orchestra perform. They protected the nerve and gave him (literally) back his teeth. They look EXACTLY like the teeth he had before. That they could recreate them so perfectly using only a picture is nothing short of miraculous. I am truly indebted to them. Thank you!!!! Original review: Wonderful! We had the best hygeniest, who made my kids feel at ease. Dr. Fotini is great too. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Everything about this practice is wonderful EXCEPT for the ridiculous fact that we must still wear masks and follow covid protocols (closed play place, wait outside until called up, masks, etc) Sorry this needs to change!!!

Fantastic experience: Update: I’m leaving this office. The past couple times I went for my kids appointments the dentist talked down to me in front of my kids and her two assistants. I do not like confrontation and if you make me uncomfortable I simply will not go back. My child shouldn’t feel the way she made him feel. Nor did I. She should have handled my kids fear better than that. I was shocked it was the same woman. You can tell she lost her love for her craft…..the first time she did it I was dumbfounded and simply apologized rather than what I wanted to do and ask her to speak with me in private and tell her I didn’t appreciate it. Upon getting there i knew it would be a great place for my kids to go for their dental needs. Staff is friendly and professional. The dentist and her assistant were both so nice. They made us feel welcome. We had great conversation while waiting and treated my kids soooo nicely. They did a great job filling in my kids cavity. So patient. So much i could say. Just so happy we switched.

Negative experience: Terrible. The assistant comes in and right away starts talking about pulling a tooth right in front of my just turned 6 year old special needs daughter (which was never the plan. The appointmentwas for a filling) so of course she then has even worse anxiety about sitting in the dentist chair than she originally did thinking it was a filling. Then the dentist repeatedly called the complete wrong name until I corrected her after about the fifth time. When my daughter was being hesitant about sitting in the chair because she thought they were going to pull her tooth and because she has adhd and scensory issued which makes it hard for her to sit still at all, the dentist told her she doesn't get special treatment she needs to do it like everyone else. The whole time the dentist and the assistant were whispering to each other. Then when I was trying to talk to my daughter about sitting in the chair and letting them look at her teeth the dentist butted in and told me she thinks I need to be stern with her (instead of talking to her calmly and explaining things to her like I was) at one point my daughter handed the dentist one of her tools off the tray and she said yup those are my tools you don't need to hand them to me, and grabbed it from her. Finally I said I think we are just going to take her somewhere else and she said ok and immediately got up and walked out of the room not a question asked. Didn't apologize, didnt ask if everything was OK didn't even say bye, have a good day absolutely nothing just walked away as if we were never wanted there in the first place. You would think for being a pediatric dentist they would be trained for how to handle kids who have anxiety about the dentist. Absolutely disgusting.

Negative experience: There staff is not on the same page. You call and they give you two different answers with a two minute call.

Years ago, I was a patient and feel so grateful to bring my daughter to the same dental team that took amazing care of my teeth. Positive experience: Dental Hygienist Regina did a very good job explaining to my daughter steps she was going to take and demonstrating on my daughters finger first. This helped calm my daughter down a little bit so that was positive and helpful. On the downside better signage for parking would be helpful. Ended up parking in the next parking lot over and realized it was residential when we were about to go in the office(sign is not clear which lot is for dentist and which for residential building). Had to move the car and by the time I got my toddler back in the car and went around the block again we were 15 minutes late.

Fantastic experience: My child had a fear of dentists but Dr. Elise was so amazing with him that now my child isn't afraid to go anymore. He even told the Dr he loved him, after his tooth was pulled. They are fantastic.

Fantastic experience: I took my 3 year old and my 6 year old to get their teeth cleaned and checked out. The heigenists were amazing and so great with them. They knew how to engage and interact with them. My boys happily cooperated and felt comfortable the entire time. The dentist was also great with them and the secretary was so nice too. It was an all around fantastic experience from beginning to end.

They always clearly explain to my children what they are going to do and let them see all the tools they are going to use before they start. My children actually look forward to going to the dentist (they are 4 & 7 and have always gone here). Also, one Halloween my youngest had an appointment and came dressed in her unicorn costume - to our surprise, the entire staff were also dressed as unicorns - so fun! I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: The hygienist and dentist were great! One word of caution-the sign to the building is a bit misleading...I went up the steep driveway when I saw their sign, but then got stuck at the top in a very tight and small parking lot that was for the apartment building next door. A tenant came out and helped me and claimed that it happens all the time. Maybe the sign should be moved? The woman at the front desk wasn't very accommodating when she questioned me about being a couple minutes late. Other than that I would highly recommend this practice! Just park in the Wayland lot a couple blocks away and get your ticket validated.

Fantastic experience: Missed my daughter's appointment time due to traffic however, the staff was friendly and understanding. In addition, they managed to squeezed us in. Not to mentioned, they were very friendly and organize. They also made my daughter felt like a super star !

That steam and itself should be enough but it’s not the girls are fabulous the doctors are professional effective and amazing at what they do! We will definitely be back

There are many dentist you can chose from but Dr. Fotoni is the only one my kids have trusted. All the staff is patient and kind and works with my daughters anxiety with the “dentist”.

Positive experience: The dental hygienist, Karen, was amazing with my 3 year old. She explained the tools in terms that she would understand, she was kind and sweet with her in a situation that could have gone either way ( 3 year old's first time at dentist ) I would definitely recommend for kids!!

We have been going here for almost 7 years. Our hygienist is amazing. I always book my apt with her so that he has a built a trust relationship with her. She always makes him feel comfortable.

The dental assistant and the dentist were very friendly and took the time to talk to my daughter and make her comfortable before starting her exam. We had to pay out of pocket due to a lapse in insurance, and the out of pocket cost was very reasonable!

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Lasser since she was 3 years old....she’s now 17 and has announced, on more than one occasion, that she will refuse to transition out of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Lasser and his staff team are fabulous. He completed my daughter’s orthodontic work as well (she wouldn’t see anyone else) with absolutely perfect results!! It is not very often, if at all, that I can say that I have had complete satisfaction with all aspects of my daughter’s treatment over the course of 14 years...but I really have! Thank you, Dr. Lasser and staff!!!
