Fantastic experience: Dr. Tarek Badaway is one of my favorite dentists I've been to in the last 40+ years. He and his staff are professional and I feel comfortable having them help restore my smile. I got my first ever implant for a front tooth that I had a root canal on 20 years ago that had a Post and Core with a Crown. The root canal failed and had developed a recurring abscess that would resurface every few years until I was experiencing pain and had to knock out the infection with another round of antibiotics. Eventually I grew tired of having to revisit the same issue over and over and decided to have the tooth extracted and replaced with an implant after Dr. Badaway explained the procedure to me and showed me the cost.

WestLake Dental Care demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and integrity at every step. It is a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere full of very kind and professional personalities. My wife and daughter also love this place. Negative experience: 'm writing this review on behalf of my husband, who passed away suddenly. He was in the middle of treatment with Westlake Dental Care. He wanted to write this review himself after the work was completed. My husband was a veteran w/ ptsd. Unfortunately, in the past, he was prescribed medication that ruined his teeth.He needed full mouth extractions and snap in dentures until he could afford implants. His procedure was at 8am. We arrived at the office a few minutes before 8am. the office was not open yet. we thought was strange. I work at a vet hospital and we do surgery every day. We make sure we arrive BEFORE the patients. We went back to the car and waited. It took only a little over an hour. much quicker than expected. Jonathan said they only removed the top teeth because they forgot to order his bottom dentures. when I confronted the office about this after the fact, they stated it was actually a lab error?, in either case it was their fault. Because of this "lab" mistake, he had to set up a 2nd appointment for the rest of the extractions 3 weeks later. They acted like it was no big deal. they only gave him 1/2 of his teeth. It was a huge deal. Jonathan was going on a trip to Florida to get a service dog He scheduled this so everything would be done before his trip. Jonathan scheduled another appointment 3 weeks later for his bottom extractions and lower dentures. We asked for a sooner opening, but they did not have one. After having all of his upper teeth removed and getting the dentures, he was sent home with a hand out about extractions, it looked like it was just printed from the internet. There were no specific instructions for someone that had ALL their teeth removed.There were no instructions regarding the dentures, when he should take them out, how to clean them, etc. No container to store them in either. Jonathan explained that he was very uncomfortable during first appointment so they offered to call in a sedative for his second appointment. Jonathan went to the pharmacy a couple of times, but there was no medication called in. He had to call the office more than once to remind them to call in the medication for him. He got his medication and had the 2nd procedure. His bottom dentures were uncomfortable from the start, but since they messed up his appointments, he could not follow up with them. He had to go to Florida as scheduled, a couple days after the procedure. It was very unfortunate, Jonathan waited 3 years for this service dog and he was in pain the whole time he was there. He could not eat and the lower dentures were rubbing his lower gums raw. He couldn't even wear the dentures most of the time he was there because they hurt so bad and didnt fit properly. he had to seek out the help of a dentist in Florida. The dentist in Florida found that he had a hole in his gums, the bone was exposed and he had an infection. He had to pay for this out of pocket separately. When Jonathan came back from Florida, he set up an appointment at Westlake within a few days of coming home. The dentist at Westlake looked at Jonathan's gums and his response to the hole in his gums was "oh shit" and he walked out of the room. Not very professional. He had to have it fixed again. Jonathan passed away suddenly before his next scheduled appointment. I let them know what happened. they got back to me and said I was going to get a refund of $1,200. When I got the check it was only for a $1,000. A couple weeks later, I got a text my payment was due. I thought it was a mistake. They had already refunded me. When I called, they informed me that I still owed about $7, 000. They sent me an UNSIGNED estimate for $25, 000. An estimate neither me or Jonathan had seen. The one we signed was $10,000. Jonathan felt the dentist was extremely rude to his support staff. if you have any sensitivity to strong smells, I would not go here. The scent of air freshner I don't know if they are trying to cover up uncleanliness with air freshner? They are morally bankrupt and hopefully will be financially bankrupt soon too

And I was able to watch a movie while he worked on me which helped me to relax. The whole procedure took about 2 hrs and I left with the final crown (no temporary crown to deal with). Fantastic experience: Wonderful and competant dental service. I have been a regular customer and get all my dental needs taken care of at Westlake Dental care. In August Dr Tareq Al Badawi performed my wisdom tooth extraction and it was amazingly pain free and took 5 minutes. I have referred other family members for cleaning, extraction and crowns Andrew luck they have been extremely happy. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. For any of your dental needs I highly recommend you visit Westlake Dental Care. Update 4.22.25 I had cleaning and a small filling done today. Dr Kogan and Gustavo were fantastic. I had heavy stains and they made sure to go extra mile to get the stains removed and the filling was painless.

I’m halfway through the process and will review again when done. I’m confident the results will be great. (Update) so I just had the second part of my full implant surgery. I can’t say enough good things about everyone at WestLake dental care. I definitely made the right decision in choosing them. After my mouth heals I go in to get scanned for the permanent set of teeth. I’m so excited to see how it turns out and will write another review once it’s all finished. I’m very happy so far. (Update) I had the scan for the permanent set of implants. I’m very happy with my choice to go to WestLake Dental Care. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Fantastic experience: A couple of months ago, I had an old crown replaced because it was causing issues. Dr. El Badawy decided to re-do four old fillings during the same visit, the oldest dating back to 1993. I was a bit worried about the extent of the work. But it went absolutely perfectly and in proper order. The old crown was lifted, and the area underneath was cleaned for a new one. At this point, the new crown was machined in-house (!) on a brand-new CNC, in the right colors and materials, all while the four old fillings were replaced. I had this long procedure on a Monday and I woke up on Tuesday morning without any pain whatsoever. My bite feels perfect and natural. My crown works properly at last. I didn’t think it was possible to touch 5 different teeth and come completely unscathed. Dr Badawy is a great surgeon. I have been a patient of this practice for over 20 years; it keeps getting better and is constantly modernized. Thank you very much!

Fantastic experience: I have always been a very nervous, apprehensive patient at a dentist's office. It isn't the pain, it's the sitting there, jaw muscles in spasm from clenching and trying to hold still, bracing against the discomfort and anticipated pain. But it isn't like that anymore since I started going to Dr. Tarek and his friendly and knowlegeable colleagues and staff. They make you feel comfortable, you are with friends, and Dr. T and Dr. Kogan are clearly excellent dentists. No longer do I fear going to the dentist!

The practice also offers financing and payment options for extensive treatments. I am very happy with their care.

Positive experience: I had a very positive experience at this office. The front desk staff provided excellent customer service, and Gustavo went above and beyond to make my wait enjoyable with great conversation and entertainment. The doctor was phenomenal - professional and attentive throughout the procedure. While the overall experience was great, my only concern was the pricing. I was initially quoted $400+ for procedure and examination without insurance, but after the procedure was completed, the final bill came to $650. I wish there had been more transparency about the potential for additional costs upfront.

Negative experience: I never reviewed this provider and the implants that were done never worked with the denture that they made leaving me without the teeth for the implants and the last time that I went to his office I was rudely told that if this does not work that I should go elsewhere and to add insult to injury someone there posted a second review that I said that I was so happy with the implants that I cried yes I did cry because I was butchered and now I spoke to Irene today and explained to her that either they fix this or send back my payment so that I can go to another doctor.

From the screening to the fitting, and to the maintenance. Westlake Dental Care, who in my opinion, is the best Invisalign orthodontist in NOVA! Their hygienist/Invisalign Consultant; Ms. Chelsea treated me and, I was beyond impress with her friendly positive approach. She helped and assured me with each treatment, encouraging me throughout the process. Ms. Chelsea was perfectly suited to me as she believes in promoting dentistry for healthy teeth. My Dental Therapy... :o) I’m going to be honest here; I dislike going to the dentist. I have for the longest time had a deep phobia and avoided for years. The horror of hearing deep grinding sounds coupled with the associated pain. Not to mention experiencing “bad dentists” telling you have bad teeth. During the COVID pandemic, seeing a dentist was not even an option, but my teeth needed immediate care. Then I found Westlake Dental, I met with the Dr. Tarek to address my goals and fears. One would think this was a therapist office. Dr. Tarek assured me that every step, process and even insurance submissions would be effortless. The staff at Westlake Dental, are what I now consider the most outstanding practice in town. Not only are they extremely professional in their care but they go out of their way to make me feel as comfortable as possible. They explained every step and detail, well in advance of my appointments. The high-tech equipment allows them to make enhanced precision care. During a recent bone graph procedure, they provided video programming by way a monitor and with state of art noise cancelling headphones to divert my attention to the grinding noise. My dental appoints are now therapy sessions with the added bonus of getting my teeth healthy. They have become my go-to solution for all my dental care needs. I highly encourage and recommend Westlake Dental.

Fantastic experience: I went in for my retainer Invisalign check up and Dr. T saw that my teeth needed cleaning. I am so happy I got it done yesterday. Dr. T made an outstanding adjustment to his schedule to make it happened. I know they are always busy, but I see how they care for me and other patients. My hygienist was Mrs. Person and she always been so graceful, professional and caring for me every visit as well. She is someone to look forward to care for your teeth and well being. Irene the Office Manager and her daughter Ashley in the front desk are always professional and well organized. I have never had an issue with schedule and billing. They are on top of their game. Well, Maria who always send me a text for my schedule reminder is as professional as everybody in the home office, knowing she does her work in Peru. What a fantastic crew of people. Fantastic experience: Dr. Tarek Badawy is an excellent dentist who takes the time to explain every step of the procedure and makes sure that I am comfortable throughout the visit. I am extremely satisfied with the tooth implant procedure that he performed. The implant feels and functions just like my natural teeth, and I have had no discomfort or pain .also I’m happy with the results of my Invisalign treatment and I couldn't have done it without the expert guidance and care of the Doctor and the stuff who made the entire experience comfortable and stress-free. I would highly recommend Westlake dental care to anyone considering Invisalign or implants, and I'm so grateful for the beautiful straight smile they helped me achieve.

Fantastic experience: I did a search for Invisalign and came across Westlake Dental Care for their competitive pricing. After my consultation with Doctor Tarek Badawy (Dr. T), I was sold. Seeing the office, the cleanliness, and the technology that his office uses, I decided to also switch my primary dental care to his office and left my previous dentist of over 15 years. From using a digital scan (iTero) instead of a manual gel base imprint of your teeth for Invisalign, to having "Alexa" for tasteful music during your appointment, to having an option to watch a show on the large TV screen right in front of you if you had a longer dental session/appointment. Dr. T is one cool guy. He can mean business if you don't follow his instructions, but chat with him and you will find out he's a pleasure to have as your Dentist. The Staff here are all awesome! Dental Assistant Vic and Cindy are awesome to work with and funny when you get to know them. Irene the Office Manager is a pleasure to work with. Funny with her own stories about her own Invisalign experience. And Zainab and Maria are awesome as well and will get you taken cared of for appointments. I had one rare occasion of having Zainab as sort of like a Dental Assistant and she was great! If you need a Dentist or would like to switch out your current Dentist, look no further. I highly recommend Westlake Dental Care.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Westlake since their opening in sterling over 5 years ago. I used to have a fear of going to the dentist, but not anymore! I trust Dr. Tarek and his team. He is so gentle and patient. in addition, the front office staff is super friendly and outgoing. it is nice being on a first name basis with everyone there. I did my Invisalign with Westlake and am so happy with the results. they made an easy, affordable, zero interest payment plan for me which really helped me out.

Negative experience: Once upon a time I came to get an implant. 21 months later I am still waiting. Now he can't find the Invisilign, even though he is giving away a TV if you sign up for the program. something is missing......
