Fantastic experience: My husband and I both see Dr. Sheikh, and are constantly impressed by the kindness and professionalism of both the good doctor, and his staff. I have sensitive teeth, and Michele the hygienist is always very careful and I rarely have problems with her accidentally "finding" a new sensitive spot with the dental tools like I have at other dental offices. (At another office, I even had one dentist try to use one of those cold water cleaning tools on my sensitive teeth. OMG, no! They would never do that here at Dr. Sheikh's office.) The office is clean (even the bathrooms), tidy, and welcoming. Since I was a little girl I hated going to the dentist. Now at Dr. Sheikh's I honestly don't mind it. From the front desk, to Michele and Dr. Sheikh, you just can't go wrong with this dental office.

My elderly mom gets very anxious and Dr. Sheikh is so patient, soft spoken and caring and puts my mom at ease every time. I also super thankful for Chris who was So kind and patient with my mom when she did her cleaning. She took her time and checked in with my mom while she did exceptional work. Love the way Dr. Sheikh takes his time explaining everything and his dental hygienist Chris is the best. I have been going to her for ever. If the person who wrote about the wait time. If she took the time to read the sign they have posted and "Please be patient, we will take the same amount of time on you as we do on everyone." Take a chill pill lady, sit back and relax. Negative experience: Update: I went to this location in Sterling, VA in January 2024 for a comprehensive exam. I was scheduled to return in 2 months (March 2024). I told the receptionists at the counter that my work schedule changes every month and I asked if it would be an issue. The receptionists said it wouldn't be an issue because people cancel all the time and I would be placed on a wait list. That didn't work out too well as previously told by the receptionists. It's now July and I STILL haven't had the opportunity to return for my FIRST cleaning. This is ridiculous! Apparently they cannot accommodate patients who have work schedules that change monthly. After my first impressions of this dentist, I was very excited to finally found a great place. Now I have to look for another dentist since this location is always booked and hard to make appointments or accommodate people that have work schedules that change every month.

Fantastic experience: My MD wanted me to have a tiny spot on my lip looked at by either my dentist or an oral surgeon. I called Dr Sheikh and was told to come in that day. He looked at it, explained what he thought it was and felt it was not a worry, but will recheck in 2 weeks to be sure. I was seen immediately, examined, and reassured, but am being monitored to be certain all is well. Could not have been handled any better. Switched dentists a number of years ago and am thankful I did. Outstanding dentist and office. Highly recommend.
