Fantastic experience: My experiences with Henrickson Dental is always very good. I had an appointment recently on 7/31/2018 To have an implant. Doctor Mike Henrickson is dedicated to ensuring quality work.He and his staff are caring and professional. I have been with Henrickson Dental since 2008 and I have never been disappointed by their Service. I highly recommend Henrickson Dental.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Mike for more than 10 years and have been extremely happy with the care I've received. Dr. Mike and the staff at Henrickson Dental are very professional and very caring. Heather, my dental hygienist has been phenomenal. I have issues with receding gums and tooth sensitivity that can make cleaning somewhat painful and stressful. Heather has been very caring and understanding and makes every attempt to make my visits as pleasant and as painless and stress-free as possible. Dr. Mike (and his father) have been great in recommending and implementing treatment plans to address the issues I've had. Dr. Mike never seems rushed. He always takes the time to discuss the problems I have and any concerns I have. He spends as much time as needed to explain the recommended treatment. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Mike and his staff at Henrickson Dental.

Fantastic experience: My hygienist was very good. The only thing I do not like is being nagged about coming to my appointment. 1 notification on either text or email one week before the appointment is enough.

Negative experience: This is an unprofessional dental office with very a shady billing process. I talked to Crystal about the out of pocket cost for my oral appliance and was stated that I would need to pay over $2k when the doctor quoted me up to $3k. Specifically, Crystal said the $2k was the amount after my insurance coverage. I called my insurance to check and they provided me 2 key points: 1) I would only be responsible for 20% of the cost and 2) they had not received a claim from this dental office. I called to talk to Crystal again and she admitted lieing and said this specific dental office has a process to bill clients BEFORE filing insurance claims. I will never go back to this business nor will I be referring anyone here.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Henrickson dental for 20 years. I currently live in Brooklyn Park, but always drive to Maplewood for my dental care. Hendrickson dental provides excellent care and service. I always have such a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit and I was very impressed. The exam was the most thorough I have ever had. No hard sell, no embellishment, just complete information and good service. All this in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: This place is wonderful. From the first person I encountered and every person thereafter, everyone was so friendly, warm & professional. During my consultation all questions were answered thoroughly and a care plan was quickly established. I am looking forward to working with them in the future! Fantastic experience: The office was able to schedule a crown replacement when my dentist had to cancel, due to, illness. My dentist referred me to Dr. Hendrickson. They took X-rays to confirm the tooth had no decay and then used the crown I had saved when it came off two days ago. I am very appreciative for that dental care and kind personal touch.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff is wonderful, from the front desk, to hygienists, to Dr. Henrickson. Efficient, caring and thorough. They invest in new equipment, and I've always been happy with procedures they've completed for me.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient of Dr. Mike and his staff for 13 years, ever since I moved to the area. I was originally an Invisalign client and had a really positive experience with that, so it made sense for me to make this the destination for the rest of my dental needs as well. Thankfully, those have been fairly routine to date. Nobody enjoys things like fillings, etc. but I've found the service I've gotten in that regard to be great. Dr. Mike always helps me understand what to expect and keeps me informed of how things are going along the way. And as others have noted, the hygienists are fantastic too. I usually see Heather, and she's just the nicest person you could ever hope to have handling your regular dental maintenance. Dr. Mike and his team provide great care with modern, up-to-date technology in a location that's easy to access. And right by the Costco - who doesn't love that? Five stars, would repeat!

Fantastic experience: Dr. B, is the kindest gentlest dentist. Her hygienist is top notch keeping patients and providers on track. Very professional and courteous. Crystal with a K maybe, sorry, always fast respond and does a great job of getting me in on short notice. She responds to all of my billing inquiries in a professional and timely manner. If it wasn't for them I would be jumping from chair to chair. Here I stuck with them and they with me and we have accomplished so much over the past few years. Thank you team. You are the best!

Fantastic experience: Hendrickson Dental has been my go-to Dentist for almost three decades. I have always been impressed by how they use leading edge technology to make the patient's experience more comfortable and the treatment safer. When circumstances dictate that I use a different dentist, they always comment on how excellent my dental work is! They also run their practice with an eye towards professionalism - from setting up appointments, sending out reminders and confirmations, to quoting pricing and procedures accurately over the phone. Negative experience: Went in for a special they were advertising (exam, x-ray and cleaning) $89 … after they were done examining my teething I was told I need a deep cleaning. I was still charged $89 even though they never cleaned my teeth. Waste of time. Don’t even bother wasting your time like I did. The staff (Crystal) was very rude by the way. If you want better service and better staff this is not the place. Follow up: when back to address the situation after I was sent a bill for $89. I was told by Dr. Mike “it says it on the flyer what they do not cover”. He stated “it’s on there in small print”. There is nothing on this flyer that states anything about things not covered. Please do not waste your time with this lying company. If you have to wait at another company, trust me it’s worth the wait. Made two appointments with different dental clinics after I was told by this clinic that I had periodontal disease that was their reason for not cleaning my teeth. After all the lies I had to get a second opinion and I’m glad I did. Both clinics stated and printed out I DO NOT HAVE PERIODONTAL DISEASE and whoever told me that was very untrue. IF YOU HAVE VISITED HERE PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY Please pay attention that after I wrote my review this company all of sudden had 10 reviews posted out of nowhere (all positive) interesting might I add. In a 2 week time frame. Get serious people. This company is full of it. Stay away

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. I was left waiting for over 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, with no explanation or apology from the staff. No big deal. But then I missed an appointment and they sent me a bill 9 months later for $100 for a “missed appointment.” The lack of communication, poor time management, and unfair billing practices have made it clear to me that this office does not value their patients’ time or trust. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful or professional dental care.

Positive experience: Looked them up on google and decided to go in. When I tell you Dr. Henrickson is by far the best dentist I’ve been too I mean just that, they are very knowledgeable and informative you feel included in every decision and future plans I love it. Now since having my teeth worked on root canals, crowning and cavity replacement. MY MOUTH HAS NEVER BEEN THIS PAINFUL I never really had major teeth issues but when I tell you my TEETH ARE IN PAIN and only getting worse I can’t even eat, the pain so bad I can’t think. And it’s the teeth that were worked on I don’t know what’s happening or happened. But I need some veneers at this point or a new dentist but this is crazy. I can barely drink fluids that’s how bad my mouth hurts. I’m sorry but since being there this pain has only got worse.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mike and staff demonstrate their professionalism and expertise once again! Been going to Hendrickson Dental since I returned to the Twin Cities in 2017 and I couldn’t be more pleased. When I’m sitting in ‘the chair’, I don’t want anyone but Dr Mike and his team taking care of me. I also want to add Dr Mike called me later in the day from his personal cell phone to check in after today’s procedure. Not the first time he’s checked to make sure I was doing well. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Negative experience: I showed up 15 minutes early upon request, got told the wait would be about 40 minutes because they were running late. fine. I finally get brought back to the exam chair, sat there just long enough to bill my insurance, then rushed out the door, being told there's no time to address my problem right as the next patient is checking in. one simple extraction would have been maybe 10 minutes, probably 5. they had no quarrel with making me wait but still made sure I was out the door before the next appointment. I should have been told there wasn't time from the get go and maybe I'd have had time to find someone with an once of integrity.

Positive experience: I've only be a patient at Hendrickson Dental for about a year. Each time the staff has been courteous, prompt, and efficient. Just had my teeth cleaned. Great!!!

Fantastic experience: Hendrickson Dental is great! My daughter chipped her tooth last night at the playground, and Crystal, Mike, and his team were able to get us in the next morning. They fixed her tooth and she is one happy girl! Thank you for the amazing work that you do!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve suffered with TMJ for quite awhile and my regular dentist said to get an over the counter nite guard. That guard lasted about a week and kept falling out. My TMJ got so bad I was clenching my teeth as I talked and only eating on one side of my mouth listening to the clicking all the time. Dr Hendrickson and his staff measured me for a high quality nite guard. The first night was weird but it really didn’t impact my sleep. Two weeks later and the clicking is gone and I am chewing on my left side again. I do wear it every night and if I am stressed will even wear it during the day. One happy patient for sure!!!

Fantastic experience: My experience has been that many dentists don't accept insurance although I have dental coverage through Medicare Blue Cross. Since Hendrickson Dental does, I went to them for the first time. All my business and dental concerns were quickly forgotten after dealing with the great office and dental staff. I left with no "watch area" or "treatment plan" lists other than a $50 estimated issue and a clean, happy smile on my face.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful family dentist. I have been taking my family here for many years! Dr. Mike and the hygienists are phenomenal!

Negative experience: They may have good dentists but personally I would not trust them as their incompetent staff has to be a reflection of their office. I called twice, got an answering machine "Can't take your call, etc. We will call back as soon as we can." I got nothing. Tried again some days later and was told this; "Our power is down, I will call back as soon as it is back up." 2 days later, nothing. I just checked, they were able to book next week so obviously the power is up - so, they either have terrible staff or just don't care for me as a new patient. I have never received that bad of front desk service - ever!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Henrickson Dental for about a year. I was at a previous dentist who abruptly changed to only implants/crowns. Henrickson Dental has been wonderful since I switched. I have TMJ and they worked with me to get a mouth guard made. It was a slow process but we finally got one to fit perfectly and it has helped. The hygienist, Jackie, is fantastic. She is friendly, thorough and always happy to see you. The staff treats you as if they know you and care for you, not like a number like I've gotten in the past. I will continue to go to Henrickson Dental for many years!

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for a long time, ( probably around 13 years? ) and I have always loved the staff here! I remember when I was a kid my parents had made us switch dentists and that didn't last long, I believe we went to the other place once and immediately we were back here because the quality here is unmatched.

Negative experience: Shady billing. I found out later they charged my insurance for a consult visit - like what for?? I thought consultations were free?? Also, the Xray was way too expensive. I was informed of the price of the xray in advance, but I didn’t know any better, so I agreed to it and paid out of pocket. I also learned that other clinics don’t even charge for it for consultations. Plus the front desk lady is not pleasant. I don’t recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mike and the whole crew are fantastic. I went a long time without seeing a dentist before going to Henrickson and had a lot of issues, but now I have a healthy and pain-free set of teeth.

Negative experience: I am not a customer or a patient of Henrickson Dental and I do not plan to be. I am new to the area and was looking for a dentist. I had an appointment nearby in a different clinic and I asked if I could get some help. The older lady with white hair at the counter was rude and unpleasant. It’s not hard to be nice to others specially if you do not know them. After my initial interaction with her, I’m definitely not coming back to be a customer. Definitely telling my community to visit other places.

Fantastic experience: After a horrific experience with Aspen Dental I was leery to see a new dentist but was due for a cleaning and the $89 new patient cleaning, exam & X-rays was a great deal! I immediately felt a light energy upon entering. Everyone was very genuine. Jackie did my cleaning which was FANTASTIC and Dr. Ballinger did a thorough exam. Dr. B found damage from a recent root canal causing infection in my jaw bone! Mind you; I’d had the same exam done @ Aspen 2 months prior and they missed it! I am so grateful I gave Henrickson Dental a chance. My only regret is not finding them MUCH sooner!! If you want great care from a professional and thoughtful team I HIGHLY recommend giving Henrickson Dental of Maplewood a call!

Negative experience: I have been going to this place since I was a teenager, and my dentist is very considerate and patient and takes her time to do her work perfectly. The hygienists are also very polite. However, I don’t know why, but the secretary (I think her name is Crystal) is always so rude to me. I am always on time and I do my best to be polite so I’m not sure what the problem is. Recently, on a Wednesday, I got a crown in. (It was the second of two I had to get done.) The machines they use to make the crowns wasn’t working, so they put on a temporary one. My doctor brought me to the secretary’s office, and told her directly, “this is *my name* please call her on Friday, we will have her new crown made and can squeeze her in on Monday or Tuesday.” I did not get a call on Friday, so I called on Monday (today,) and made sure to say my full name so she’d hopefully remember what the situation was. Instead she offered an appointment a week from now. I tried to explain that my tooth was causing me a lot of pain (more than normal for a crown, pain spreading to my whole mouth and my head) and the doctor said I could come in, but before I could even get half a sentence out she raised her voice to cut me off. I had no one else in that office I could contact so I just settled for an appointment in a week. It would have been okay if she had been nice about it, or explained why I wasn’t able to be squeezed in like the doctor said, but she was instead very impatient and made me feel like an inconvenience simply for trying to communicate. On a different occasion, I had to reschedule an appointment because I was dealing with a lot of dizziness. I struggled with lightheadedness because of anxiety disorder (professionally diagnosed) at the time. I called and asked to reschedule and the secretary told me I couldn’t cancel and had to come in. This felt weird, because I am an adult with free will, and I can move my appointments around however I want to. I told her it was okay to charge me a cancellation fee, but either way I would need a new appointment. We scheduled one for a week or two later. Her behavior is confusing and hurtful because in person she is always very pleasant and polite and always smiling. I think I will be recording all my calls with Henrickson Dental from now on.

Negative experience: I have been coming here for 17 years. While the work completed has been fine, and the hygienists, Jackie and Heather are amazing, my recent experiences with front desk staff and with procedural care, specifically COMMUNICATION have been less than desired. The previous front desk staff was very warm and welcoming, but now is straight business. It would be nice to have financials explained and light conversation made with your customers. Why not be happy? And nice? My most recent procedure was a crown repair. Again, while the work completed was satisfactory, and the equipment and technology they have here is the latest, the experience of replacing my crown was not as positive. The dental hygienist had nothing to say to me me my entire 2hr procedure. Did not have all items stocked and ready. Did not pick up on any non-verbal needs to help me feel accommodated and comfortable as others have before. Did not explain the 15 minute wait and just left me there alone. ..?. so I got up and used the restroom myself, moving all the equipment. In summary, I don't deny the satisfactory work here, but I'm sorry to say I'll probably be moving closer to my home for primary dental care. I'll miss my primary hygienist, Heather (the real reason I commuted 25 min) but hopefully will find better communication and attentiveness to my needs during vulnerable dental procedures. Interestingly enough, Dr Mike asked me to complete this survey, so I imagine he felt everything went great and to his satisfaction, but in reality I did not feel my secondary needs (to his primary work) were met at all. Hopefully this review helps these dentistry staff realize and improve on their shortcomings. Respectfully, Kathryn

Negative experience: Zero stars if I could leave a zero star review. The experience was terrible with "Dr. Mike". After the work was done, my (what used to be perfect) bite was so screwed up I could not chew on one side of my mouth (still can't). After coming back several times, he tried and failed to fix it, then said I would need a root canal - which my new dentist said I did not need. This was after paying nearly twice what was quoted. He said he would reduce the amount I had to pay if I would sign the most ridiculous statement I have ever seen - which I refused to do, even for a discount. I recommend avoiding this dentist! This is the first negative review I have ever posted, but did not want anyone else to have to deal with this.

Fantastic experience: I became a patient at henrickson dental about a year ago, i came to them in search of a 2nd opinion in regards to my oral health and have not been any where else since. the staff are kind caring and gentle and have your best interest in mind, together we came up with a plan to restore my oral health and save my teeth while the road to restore my oral health has been a long and pricey the staff at henrickson has been very accommodating and flexible have worked with me every visit! glad i found them.

Fantastic experience: I got implants and they look great. I eat just like I have real teeth and I have gotten tons of compliments on how they look. I highly recommend.

Negative experience: Be aware of this place. I recommended 3 of my family members and myself, not knowing what a scam dentistry this place is. I was told that my daughter had 5 cavities. I took her to our dentist at HealthPartners and they said my daughter didn’t have any cavities and needed a cleaning. I came here because they had a special with an exam, cleaning, and x ray for $89. It’s sad that they make false claims in hopes that you’ll return to have something fixed that was never broken. Do your homework and go elsewhere. If you’ve already visited this location please get a second opinion before paying them those ridiculous prices to have them fix what they claim is wrong.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Hendrickson Dental for my entire life. Like most people I don't think I would describe going to the dentist as a good time, but Dr Hendrickson and his team are fantastic. Jackie has been cleaning my teeth for years and is so gentle. She's warm and personable too. I've had a slew of dental needs such as grinding down my teeth to realign my bite pattern, countless mouth guards (which are covered for life), cavities filled, and removal of gun tissue. I trust Dr Hendrickson and Dr Ballinger to take care of me and my family for years to come.
