Almond Dental St. Anthony: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Top-notch dentistry! I was taken back right on time, and the entire appointment was efficient without feeling rushed. The office is spotlessly clean and utilizes modern technology. The dental hygienist did an excellent job cleaning my teeth, and the Dr. provided a very thorough, high-quality exam. I left feeling well-cared for.
Fantastic experience: First class Dentist. Had full mouth implants done and the was very pleased. Dr Kumer is second to none doing implants. Staff and entire group welcome helps to make your visit go good. Very informative and put together options for you. Thank you for the great smile. You nailed itgreat
Positive experience: I sent you a text message on Wednesday the 25th, at 2:49 p.m. saying I would have to cancel my 2:00p.m. appointment on the 27th. But I received a reminder today about the appointment. I hope I'm not being charged for not coming?
Fantastic experience: I am so happy that I found this office they are very clean and professional. I was able to get an appointment quickly and after my annual exam I was able to get back in to get everything taken care of. My doctor was wonderful. She took the time to listen to me about my concerns I referred the rest of my family thank you! I'm in dental for getting us back on track. We are all smiles now
Fantastic experience: They were fast to answer my concerns. My first time in there .They seem nice
Fantastic experience: I'm so happy that I went to Almond Dental Care! I was not happy with the consultation I received from a previous dentist two weeks ago, and decided to try Almond Dental in St. Anthony. I’m so glad I did! They were very thorough, and put together a dental plan that I’m happy with. Everyone was so helpful, and they explained everything from start to finish. I highly recommend you make an appointment. **It’s a very nice facility as well! Thank you SO MUCH. Kathy Marie
Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Ankita Rajpurohit for several procedures now and she has been great. I have a very Bad Dental phobia which Dr Ankita worked with me on during the procedures. She was so patient and helped make most of the procedure almost painless. I would highly recommend going to Almond Dental also because the staff is great to work with very friendly and very informative.
Fantastic experience: First time Impression was Amazing. Staff were so kind and I felt they made me feel welcomed and went over a plan with me for my dental needs with Care .
Negative experience: I received terrible care. The lab did a poor job relining my dentures. I told the dentist they did not fit right. I was given a song and dance about how our draw changes and if I didn’t wear them all the time, it was my fault. I said my teeth don’t touch and they ride high in the back. But I heard her out and went and I left still not feeling like I got Proper care. So I get home after saying it was all about my lower job only to look at my upper denture. It is riding a quarter inch lower than an implant I have. The implant is supposed to be even with my other. I cannot close my teeth in the front and they say it’s normal. In order to be heard now, I have to reach out to my two family members that are MDs to intervene. To be an older woman and gaslit for decades by medical providers, left me so triggered and sobbing for 24 hours. I didn’t just feel blown off. I was blown off. When a professional ego gets in the way and they cannot hear a client they’ve got a big problem.
Fantastic experience: I found the performance of my Dentist to be sweet and sincere. She had me on the edge of my seat. The cinematography was superb. I loved the soundtrack and bought the CD. The only criticism I had was I found the graphic love scenes to be inappropriate but I'm a prude. I would rate this movie up there with Gone With The Wind....
Fantastic experience: Great visit. Very pleasant experience. Was very anxious as I’ve had dentists in the past where they’re just not the most friendly and are very rough when doing checkup/cleaning. Here, all the staff were really friendly and kind. My dentist was really friendly and gentle and I was kind of surprised when she said she was “all done”. Quick and painless!
Fantastic experience: Vickie was a delight, very professional, informative, pleasant human being. I felt totally at ease with her personality kindness. I do wish getting my teeth corrected, would not have come across as soon expensive. Which of course was not a Vickie problem. But, I do hope to be able to work with her again. But some financial issues will still need to be solved
Fantastic experience: Best dentist I've ever been to. Great service and everyone is patient and kind. You can tell they honestly care about the patient.
Negative experience: I can not stress enough, do not trust this dentist. I thankfully had multiple dentists I seen because I couldn't believe the number of fillings she wanted to give me. Each of the other dentists I had seen acknowledged the cavities but that they were at different levels and didn't all need to be filled. Nearly a year later I've gotten only 1/4 of the fillings this dentist suggested and I experience no sensitivity associated with cavities. Thank god I got a second opinion instead of believing the dentist here. Opened my eyes to how money hungry some establishments are at the expense of your health
Fantastic experience: Was the most pleasant, relaxing experience ever in a dental office. Was greeted my dentist assistant. Very pleasant. And went for x-rsys. State of art equipment!! Then met my dentist. So smart. Talked with confidence. And showed me empathy to help. Was the best dental experience I ever had. And am 63. Thanks again Almond
Fantastic experience: The dentist, hygienist and staff were friendly and took care of me. The office was clean and I'm glad to have chosen them.
Negative experience: I had an appointment early November (11/06). They never submitted the dental work needed to insurance until December 23rd after I called numerous times and they refused to call me back. What they did submit wasn't even the work needed! They only submitted a deep cleaning and none of the work needed to fix and still, January 8th, haven't called me back. Go somewhere else, over 2 months to get any information only to have them not submit the needed work and still no call back is ridiculous.
Fantastic experience: Excellent experience at Almond Dental! The staff is very friendly, professional, and welcoming. The dentist took time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. The office is clean and well organized, and the service was efficient with minimal wait time. Highly recommend Almond Dental for anyone looking for quality dental care.
Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for the great service. I will be happy to leave a review.
Positive experience: Dr. Kumar is an excellent and outstanding at what he does. He makes you feel comfortable and confident about the procedure taking place. He is extremely knowledgeable about his work. His team is also outstanding for reaching out to if something unexpected comes up. 5/14/25 I see Dr Ankita now. She is not only a great person, she is an outstanding dentist. She knows what needs to be done and can predict what teeth are going to do in the near future. I trust her and respect her work. 12/12/25 The front desk like to change the times of your appointments and are disrespectful. Put you on hold for a half hour sometimes. I don't think I'll be going here anymore.
Thanks for your feedback Matt! See you soon
-Dr.Kumar
Negative experience: This clinic is extremely unprofessional, and I will never return after what I witnessed today. I’m not sure of her name, but there was an Indian woman with a nose ring who spoke very rudely to the front desk staff, telling her to get up and look for a mop in a disrespectful tone. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. The front desk woman, who was Hispanic, looked at me, and I genuinely felt bad for her. I also overheard an elderly customer saying that this business used to be really good, but she didn’t know what happened and no longer wanted to come back. On top of that, Vicki is not a good manager. She lied about me, and if she truly is a manager, why is she telling the front desk staff to pass messages to people in the back? If a specific coworker needs to shovel, why can’t she tell them herself instead of going through the front desk? This clinic is messy, disorganized, and completely out of order. I waited for three hours before I was even called. The environment is unprofessional, and staff openly discuss people’s personal information and give directions to each other publicly instead of privately. That’s not a place I want to visit or support. I’m sorry, but I will never step foot in this business again.
Negative experience: My entire interview experience here at Almond Dental AT THIS LOCATION was disorganized, misleading, and extremely unprofessional from beginning to end. I interviewed on a Monday and was told to return the next day for a two-hour working interview—strictly to observe and complete minimal paperwork. That is not what happened. Instead, I was suddenly expected to answer phones, schedule patients, and “see how I talk,” even though I made it clear I had never used their software. The person who was supposed to train me wasn’t even told she’d be training anyone, so she was overwhelmed trying to help me while also assisting patients—she did great, but she had zero notice. Meanwhile, the manager, Vickie, hovered over us snapping her fingers, getting frustrated whenever calls were missed, and saying it would “go against us.” It was uncomfortable, chaotic, and completely different from what I was promised. At the end of the working interview, she told me: • My pay rate was set • She would confirm with the doctor • She would text me my start date, likely Wednesday or Thursday • She even told me to pick out my uniform • Staff gave me their numbers for scheduling Naturally, I believed I was hired. I cancelled all my other interviews. But instead of a start date, I received a message at 12:30 AM through Indeed on Wednesday saying there were “other applicants doing working interviews” and that she’d decide by the end of the week. I told her I was never informed of that. Her response became defensive, and communication became inconsistent and confusing. I called the Maple Grove location and spoke with Carly, who told me she was unaware of anything—and that Vickie was using her Indeed account to message me. That alone felt completely unprofessional. I continued trying to get clarity: • Thursday, I called St. Anthony and was told Vickie would call me back. She never did. • Friday, I followed up again. Carly said she didn’t know anything but “Vickie really liked me” and would contact me. Nothing. • Saturday evening, I finally got a text saying I was now expected to come in for a second working interview for the doctors to “see my abilities.” When I asked what abilities, considering I hadn’t been trained, she got very defensive. When I mentioned Minnesota law requiring working interviews to be paid, she abruptly told me the “company” didn’t think I was a good fit—over text at 7 PM. It was clear she made the decision herself and tried to present it as a company choice. On Monday(12/8), I contacted Maple Grove again and was told Vickie would be “evaluated.” Considering the reviews already posted about her, that response was disappointing. Carly eventually offered to pay me for the two hours, but at that point, I felt completely dismissed and disrespected by both managers. As an experienced patient care coordinator, I have never encountered leadership this unorganized, unprofessional, and dismissive. Be cautious if you interview or schedule with this location. They are understaffed, communication is inconsistent, management is disconnected, and the “working interview” felt more like unpaid labor to keep the office functioning rather than an opportunity for me to learn or be evaluated properly.
Fantastic experience: I had a very pleasant dental experience was my first time there. Everything was very professional. I give them 5 stars
Negative experience: this continues to get worse every time I deal with them. Not only have I been misinformed about insurance and treated unprofessionally, but now the communication issues have reached a whole new level. I am constantly being put on hold when I call the office—sometimes immediately, sometimes for long periods—and most of the time, nobody ever calls back. It’s beyond frustrating. What makes it even worse is what I personally witnessed during my last visit: employees were being told by Vickee to never miss a call and to put people on hold instantly. From what I observed, it seemed like she cared more about making herself look good in the call logs than actually helping patients or letting staff do their jobs effectively. The pressure and tension she created in the office were obvious. It felt like the staff were afraid to handle calls normally because they didn’t want to be yelled at. And as a patient, I’m the one who ends up stuck on endless holds, getting no follow-up, no answers, and no resolution. It’s chaotic, unprofessional, and unacceptable for any medical office. Between the miscommunication, the constant hold times, and the way the front-desk staff are treated, this office is completely dysfunctional. At this point, I have zero confidence in their ability to manage basic patient communication, let alone anything more important. I can’t recommend this clinic to anyone unless they overhaul their management and communication process. My experience has been nothing but stress and disappointment.
Negative experience: BE CAREFUL BEFORE SCHEDULING HERE. My moms experience at Almond Dental in St. Anthony has been nothing short of a disaster, and I feel obligated to warn other patients about what she went through. We have never been so manipulated. The main issue was with the billing/treatment coordinator, Vickee. In my personal experience, she has been consistently rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I witnessed her speaking to staff in a harsh, demeaning tone, raising her voice, and creating an environment that felt hostile and uncomfortable. It was honestly shocking to watch. On top of that, the communication in this office is a mess. Several times, the hygienists seemed unable to clearly explain information, and what was communicated ended up being relayed incorrectly to the front desk. The result? Wrong information, confusion, and chaos. This lack of clear communication directly affected her treatment and her scheduling. The biggest issue, though, was the misinformation she received about her insurance. She was REPEATEDLY told that my insurance had been approved, only to later discover that this was completely inaccurate. WE FEEL misled and ignored. Every time we asked for clarification, we got vague, inconsistent answers instead of honesty. It’s unacceptable for patients to be given conflicting information about something as important as insurance coverage especially WITH ALL OF THE FRAUD THIS COMPANY HAS DONE. WE ARE STUCK PAYING FOR THE EXPENSES. THEY WILL NOT SEND OUR RECORDS. Now SHE is stuck paying out of pocket. There is no other billing team there just VICKEE. And shes the MANAGER. She's mean and judgemental. She made my mom feel bad about all of the dental work she needs This entire situation left US frustrated, stressed, and absolutely done with this place. Donna was amazing at scheduling the appoinment. THE EMPLOYEES NEED SOME LOVE AND CREDIT. VICKEE would Tell the employees how many times they were doing something she did not like in front of Pateints VERY LOUD. Based on my experience, NOBODY should trust this place and if you decide to go here Do your research about Insurance.
Fantastic experience: I had extractions and implant posts placed today and could not be more impressed with Dr Kumar and his team. From start to finish the team was professional, non-judgemental and efficient. The extraction was pain free and easier than I expected. The implant procedure went seamlessly and I am looking forward to finishing the process and getting my smile back. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Kumar for anyone looking for an excellent dentist.
Fantastic experience: The preliminary work being done prior to my upcoming implants has gone fairly well. Dr. Ayad is patient and performed my crown work and fillings quite adequately.
Fantastic experience: Almond Dental is the best place to go to get any work done on your teeth’s
Fantastic experience: Dr. Ankita Rajpurohit is the best dentist I've ever had! She cares about her patients and does excellent work. I'm very nervous when I have to get work done. She is very good at explaining what's happening and what should be done. I feel confident in the decisions I make and my teeth have improved a lot. I've always had trouble with novacaine not working and she was very helpful in getting the right dose and listening to my concerns. I heard about her through my sister. Now her, me, my mom and my dad all go to her. Lol. She's great!
Negative experience: AVOID! SERIOUS FRAUD & NEGLIGENCE & MALPRACTICE! This is my first ever review of anything. I would give no stars if it was an option. I came in with an infection in June of 2025. They extracted my two front teeth due to bone loss and bone infection. The same day at the same appointment the dentist "assumed" my insurance would cover my implants. She moved forward without prior authorization from insurance or myself and installed the implant posts. I had no clue they didnt get prior authorization. They informed me almost 5 months later when I had my follow up appoinment to get my teeth installed that I wasnt covered. ON MY APPOINTMENT DAY TO GET THEM INSTALLED. And that they wouldn't be moving forward... The office/billing person Vickie told me there was a miscommunication and the Dentist thought they were good to go for insurance. But she had made a mistake. But now the posts are in my mouth. I have had no front teeth for almost 7 months. They won't give me my medical records. I'm legally entitled to. Even after requesting them in writing. Its been months. When I have called to ask for them to be emailed over, im told we would send it right over. Only to not hear back for days and when I follow up, the receptionists are incredibly rude. I have been argued with, lied to, and dismissed by every person behind the desk... Hung up on and ignored... I've had to physically go to Almond Dental and get info from them on multiple occasions. I've never had to track down any medical professional in my life besides Vickie... She is the billing person for both locations. It is beyond unprofessional all the way around. No decorum or professionalism to be seen by anyone there. Zero accountability. They wont even help me, help myself.... They wont contact me to finish the work they started. I asked for a break down of the cost to pay out of pocket. As I havent had teeth and half a year and just want some teeth.... and VIckie laughed at me and told me no... WOW? Why??? I asked her why? She told me its too much and to be grateful I don't have prosthetic limbs, and teeth arent that big of a deal.... That's what she said to me and my fiancee, this is a direct quote. She even suggested I have the implant posts removed so I can install a bridge... Which is a huge medical necessity liability as well as major insurance fraud. You cant just put in another surgery because of your mess up. Thats medical malpractice. NOT covered under medical neccessity to bill insurance. They are willing to put me under for a unneccessary surgery so they can save money on finishing the job they legally are supposed too. All to save them MONEY and keep them from fixing an issue they caused at the cost of my health. CRAZY ILLEGAL. Not only can I not get them to contact me to finish this issue they started. They won't give me any of the parts information for a different dentist to properly finish the implants. They have worsened me and left me to dry. They do not care. They do not honor their oath. They want money! They won't even help me help myself..... I went and got a second opinion this November after still not hearing from Almond. Not only did they install the posts poorly. They ignored the periodontal disease I have in my whole mouth. As well as some large cavities on my molars, visible to the naked eye. They simply want high-cost items and jobs. They DO NOT CARE about the outcome and overall longevity of the work they have completed. They want your money. They do not follow the rules or regulations. They do not have basic empathy. And they surely are not caring about their patients. Absolutely baffled by the brazen behavior of so-called "professionals". These are not people you should trust with your health. Do not go here for any reason... They will scam you and treat you horribly. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. I'm still waiting to hear from them. Shame on all of them. I will update if anything gets resolved.
Fantastic experience: Very nice people and not that pushy. I really like going to my appointment.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Ayad at Almond Dental provides exceptional care. He is kind, friendly and always goes out of his way to make sure I feel comfortable, even when I’m feeling anxious as a patient. The staff and clinic are excellent—I highly recommend this office and Dentist.
Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at Almond Dental in St Anthony for many years; Dr. Nadder Ayad is an amazing professional with a deep understanding of the needs of his patients. The quality of work, atmosphere of the office, and friendliness of staff is second to none. I highly recommended Dr. Nadder Ayad and his staff. Truly an Incredible Team of Professionals
Fantastic experience: Almond Dental and especially Dr Ankita provide the best dental care I have ever received. Dr Ankita explains what needs to be done and options on how to proceed. I really trust her work.
Fantastic experience: My dentist was great! I had to get 3 crowns, a root canal, and several cavities filled. Each visit I was met with a professional and positive team. Thanks to the dental assistants too, they were awesome!
Fantastic experience: Great experience. Dr. Kumar is amazing. He was able to do implant the same day and knows what he is doing. While other dental places deny me and did not call me back, Almond dental was able to give me an implant.
Fantastic experience: I came in for an examination and i left with everything i needed done wonderful service will definitely recommend!
Fantastic experience: The best Dentist l ever had. Friendly place clean good customer service . Waiting time is always on point. Thank you Almond Dental
Fantastic experience: Dr. Ayad was very precise and careful when doing my fillings, he made sure that my bite felt the exact same as before and was very nice about it. Very professional and smart! He will be my main dentist for sure!
Negative experience: I was a new patient, I was called to come in 30 minutes early for my appointment, I did- no problem. While waiting in the lobby, the manager went up to the front desk girls (who were wonderful by the way) and she started to berate them. She started by saying “ I have told you girls a million times”…..she continued for at least 5 minutes. I could hear most of the condescending words I kept waiting. By the time I was finally called back it was 10 minutes past my original appointment time. After x-rays the guy who was cleaning my teeth asked me about my gum health, I said I think it’s pretty good, but you should probably check. His response was, “well yea, but if I don’t have to take 15 minutes out of my schedule I don’t want to “ Wow He finished, the dentist comes in, after looking at my teeth from above while standing over me, she decided I needed two crowns! The only reason I am giving 2 stars is for the two front desk girls They were so kind. They were mistreated, and still didn’t have a bad attitude
Fantastic experience: I’ve had such a great experience at Almond Dental with Dr. Nadder Ayad and his amazing staff. From the moment you walk in, everyone is incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. The dental hygienists are gentle and informative, always taking the time to explain everything and make sure you’re comfortable. Dr. Ayad is not only skilled and professional but also has a very calm and reassuring presence that truly makes you feel safe and cared for. The entire team goes above and beyond to make every visit smooth and stress-free. I really appreciate how attentive they are to patients’ needs and how they make the whole dental experience positive. Highly recommend Almond Dental to anyone looking for a dentist who genuinely cares about their patients’ comfort and well-being!
Fantastic experience: It was very nice and one of the check in lady's help with with some of the paperwork that I didn't understand glad to find out what is wrong with My teeth
Fantastic experience: Almond Dental made me feel genuinely welcomed from the moment I walked in. The staff are not only professional but also incredibly kind and attentive. Everything was explained clearly, and I felt supported every step of the way. As a mental health practitioner, I sincerely appreciate environments that are truly non-judgmental and patient-centered. Almond Dental embodies that. It’s a place where people can feel safe, respected, and at ease. I’m grateful for the care I received and will permanently make them my primary dentist. I wholeheartedly recommend them, both personally and professionally.
Negative experience: The facility seemed dirty and unorganized. I noticed marks on the walls/ floors and ceiling’s had what looked like mold growing in spots. Also expect a long wait time.
Positive experience: Routine cleaning and X-ray service was fine, however, they did not make it clear that the fluoride varnish at the end of the cleaning was a separate charged expense. I was expecting the entire cleaning to be covered by my insurance, however, I will now have to pay for it. Because of their end of the service quick sales tactics, I made the assumption that the varnish was free. I will not return again.
Fantastic experience: My guy came here after seeing them on Instagram. They gave him a free consultation and told him what he needed to do for his journey to get better dental care. It’s gonna be a long road but they are professional and patient and we will be long time clients. I recommend them to anyone who has lost their confidence because of bad or broken teeth. It’s never too late especially when there are places like this that are willing to help. Great Job to everyone @ Almond Dental
Positive experience: caring an honest people but felt pressured to choose my teeth or my bills letting me know how bad they are and feeling torn guilty and depressed about not being able to afford the procedure an having rotten teeth
Positive experience: I recently went to Almond Dental and had a cracked tooth which needed a crown. I thought this would be a relatively easy process and it was anything but. I instantly had pain on a tooth next to my permanent crown and was told to give it time. Over a week, the pain continued to get worse and when I came in again was told to give it more time. I went to a new dentist, who I wish I went to from the beginning, to have the crown and the adjacent tooth looked at. She informed me that the crown was simultaneously too wide for the spot it was in, it was too short, it was not placed well around my gums, and that it was now putting more pressure on the adjacent tooth. All to say, I am having a new crown made by this other dentist because I do not trust Almond Dental to fix it when they told me "it was fine." It is incredibly disappointing that when I went back to Almond Dental about this pain that I was dismissed. Crowns should not cause new pain on an adjacent tooth, and if they do, that pain should not be dismissed as mine was. I paid a lot of money, money that I don't have being a full-time student. If Almond Dental is going to provide such poor service, they should give individuals their money back. I paid just to have them cause me more pain than I ever had from my cracked tooth. I worked with Almond Dental and we came to a resolution that I was happy with and I received a full refund of the crown. I really appreciate their willingness to work with me on this. The dental cleanings I received there were just fine, the only issue was related to the crown.
Hi Emily, we’re sorry to hear about your experience. We will will get back to you soon and come to a resolution.
Fantastic experience: My experience with Almond Dental was very pleasant. All the staff did everything they could to meet my needs.
Fantastic experience: I would really recommend Almond Dental in St. Anthony to anyone 100% All the staffs are nice & helpful. Thanks for Dr. Ayad for explaining everything & to answered all my concerns and makes me comfortable and thanks to his assistant too. Thanks for Vickie office manager to explain everything like how it needs to be done & the cost and makes me comfortable, I love the way she explained like a mother to me :) the cost & gave me discount for everything. Thank you guys & I appreciate it for everything. I will come back here again & let them take care of my teeth from now on. For sure :) Thank you guys & God bless. DEXTER F.
Negative experience: CHECK YELP. They ONLY have 3 starts because they are all about money. The nurse will first ask you personal information about where you live and what you do to see if it's worth helping you or not. Dr Ankita will refuse service if it doesn't benefit them long term with more expensive procedures. The receptionist was the only nice thing about this place.
Negative experience: On my first visit X-rays and a cleaning were performed at the dentist office. Dr Ankita recommended me removing three wisdom teeth, which was agree to.However, when arriving for surgery, the dental assistant presented a paper to sign for four teeth. The discrepancy was noted, and the assistant confirmed that only three teeth were recommended. The paper was not corrected, but it was signed, and extraction was performed. At follow up-check--up Dr Ankita wanted to remove another neighboring tooth. This was not agree then she said the tooth would be filled at next appointment. However when I arrive at the appointment, the plan changed, and Dr Ankita still she want to remove neighbor tooth. I refuse and left without service. Dr Ankita believed to be trying to make money by doing unnecessary procedures.
Fantastic experience: I’m blessed to be one of Dr. Kumar’s patient. I was having level 4 periodontal disease. All my teeth were loose. My gum was constantly bleeding. I have significant bone loss. My case was difficult and challenging but with God’s help the surgery was successful and now I can smile and eat normal food again. He treated me like his brother. All the staff are great especially Vickie. I will recommend anyone with dental issues to go to Almond dental.
Fantastic experience: Love this dental office. The workers are so helpful and kind. The dentist and assistance are very understanding and care so much about your comfort during your appointments. They also do not judge you for how your teeth are. They truly care about fixing your teeth without making you feel judged because of them. Would recommend this office to anyone I know looking for a new dentist
Fantastic experience: Very efficient staff, right away I could tell theses people enjoy want they do, helping people with their dental issues knowing when they leave their in a better place.
Fantastic experience: Daughter and I went here for the first time and everything was great! Our hygienist was super nice and the dentist was great. I’m finally going to get a mouth guard for my teeth grinding problem!
Fantastic experience: Once again, I am thrilled with the service and staff of Almond Dental. .you i.plant had worked it's self loose over the weekend. So I called and setup an emergency appointment on Monday morning to repair it. Dr. Kumar ok the appointment, made the necessary adjustments and I was on my way in less than an hour. I was so afraid that it would something worse, but he is such a professional at these things, made me feel relaxed, and he fixed me up right away. Nothing but great things to say about Almond Dental.
Negative experience: Highly disappointed in the fact that I came in for an appointment, which was actually cancelled due to missing pieces for my dentures,it cost me 28.00 dollars to get there from Richfield and turn around and go home
Negative experience: STAY AWAY! Terrible TERRIBLE place. My poor elderly father came here for a deep cleaning & they were TOO AGGRESSIVE with the cleaning. His teeth hurted so bad it spiked his blood pressure twice. He couldn't sleep, eat or sleep for a week. He went into urgent care many times complaining about pain. This place is TERRIBLE! SAVE yourself and your loved ones because they are more interested in lining their own pockers than patient care. Than doing right by their patients and what's right. When you take care of your patients, they keep coming back and stay with you for years to come because you have established trust and rapport. This place doesn't care about trust, rapport, doing right by their patients or patient care.
Fantastic experience: Everyone was so friendly and supportive! I was in so much pain and they were so compassionate and it made me feel comfortable through it all.
Negative experience: Discriminatory Practices, Medicaid Refusal, and Unethical Treatment Delays: My experience with Dr. Kumar’s dental office has been deeply concerning and should serve as a warning to other patients, especially Medicaid recipients, neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. This provider denied care and scheduled me for an implant placement without verifying that my records were received or confirming approval from any of my insurance plans. This caused unnecessary delays in my treatment, which has already been planned for months. Even after I completed metal allergy testing to avoid complications from a titanium or titanium alloy implant, the office refused to proceed, offering inconsistent and shifting explanations. Additionally, I have primary coverage through commercial PPO dental insurance plans covering this implant and despite a near $5000 payment from my plans, and then to also be able to bill Medicaid afterwards was something they “didn’t want to do” as phrased by the medical biller and office coordinator. This woman was helpful at first, but quickly became agitated and did not return my phone calls or submit treatment estimates into the above 3 dental insurance plans prior to the wrongfully purposed appointment that was today. As a Medicaid (Minnesota Health Care Programs) patient, I am aware that the provider has agreed—by contract—to accept state reimbursement rates and payment schedules. Refusing to provide services to Medicaid patients based on reimbursement rates is a violation of that agreement. The office also demonstrated discrimination against neurodivergent and autistic patients by failing to accommodate communication needs, ignoring my statements, talking over me, and even putting words in my mouth. At one point, Dr. Kumar walked out of the room mid-conversation while I was advocating for the correct rescheduling of my appointment. Additionally, I observed serious professional concerns: A temporary hygienist was left performing cleanings and procedures unsupervised. My appointment, intended for a cleaning prior to implant placement, was replaced without my consent by an unsanctioned surgery schedule. I left the office an hour after my appointment time without receiving any treatment due to their scheduling error. These actions may violate Minnesota patient rights laws (Minn. Stat. § 144.651), DHS civil rights protections, and MHCP provider agreements. I will be filing complaints with the Minnesota Department of Human Services and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry. I urge other patients—especially Medicaid recipients and those seeking equitable, respectful care—to steer clear of this office.
Fantastic experience: I am terrified of the dentist but I am very happy with everyone I have come in contact with here. They are all super nice and are willing to talk through things with you. I love the dentist I see and am happy that I have found a dentist I actually look forward to going to.
Fantastic experience: Was very pleased with my first visit, staff were pleasant. And they found the root to the pain. And set up a plan to get the needed work done. Will definitely be coming back for my care.☺️☺️ . I am very pleased with the continued care that I receive from almond dental. Never had no issue
Fantastic experience: Dr. Kumar is amazing. He is always accommodating when I have dental emergencies, and his dental work is completely painless. He is very respectful, professional, and truly the best doctor I have ever met
Fantastic experience: This team truly goes above and beyond! The manager Vickie called to check on me after my visit, and I really appreciated that personal touch. She’s professional, caring, and is great at explaining treatment costs and insurance coverages.
Fantastic experience: Such a smooth experience from start to finish. The front desk was helpful, the office was clean, and Dr. Kumar was gentle and thorough. Special thanks to Vickie for her clear communication and help explaining my insurance breakdown.
Negative experience: So I had called the dental office weeks ago to let them know I had new insurance and to double check if they accepted it or not. I wasted told that they did accept it. I went for a dental cleaning today and the hygienist wanted to double check with them Because I need some work done in my appointment. To find out my insurance isn’t covered. Another thing is they kept blowing me up about my appointment and told Me I needed to confirm several days in advance. I received a text stating My appointment was canceled when I never did such a thing. This office sounds very disorganized and all over the place. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Negative experience: My experience at this dental office was disappointing. The manager, Vicky, is extremely unprofessional, disorganized, and treats her staff poorly. I witnessed her speaking rudely to employees in front of patients, which made the whole environment uncomfortable. She seems overwhelmed and unprepared to handle even basic tasks, and her lack of communication and professionalism reflects badly on the whole office. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based on the management alone. The staff deserves better leadership.
Fantastic experience: This team as been the best, besides the talent they have the best manners, they are kind and accommodating. Well worth it. I highly recommend Dr. Kumar, he's and his team are gems. You'll love your smile

Appreciate your feedback and best review . Kumar
Fantastic experience: I recently had an old bridge come loose and was told by Dr Kumar I would need a permanent bridge including 2 implants. As the missing bridge was in the front of my mouth and highly visible I signed on immediately for the procedure. I had several concerns and questions during this process and Dr Kumar saw me immediately and reassured me that things were progressing as planned. This was greatly relieving to me and I was extremely happy to be able to see him so quickly. I am at the end of my journey and hope to get my bridge today. I can recommend Dr Kumar as a dentist without reservation. Teresa Connelly
Fantastic experience: They were very kind and patient, professional and non-judgemental. The office is calming and quiet. They had me in and out quite promptly with a strong plan going forward and I feel a great relief because of it. Was very glad I chose Almond Dental.
Negative experience: Wasn’t planning to update my review, but after receiving a request from the dental office, I felt it necessary to be honest. Save yourself the trouble — go elsewhere. The low-star reviews exist for a reason. The two stars I’ve given are for the front desk and technical staff, who were kind and professional. Unfortunately, the dentists themselves left far too much to be desired to feel trustworthy with something as personal and important as dental care.
Fantastic experience: I felt like a had a thorough discussion about my dental implant and trust my dentist, she was very knowledgeable. I feel confident about my future options for my smile! Also very clean office, everything looks updated and high tech!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Prem was Awesome, I liked how he was very gentle with me how he explained the process. He did wonderful job on my implants. Everyone at Almond Dental are very nice and welcoming.
Fantastic experience: The best. The front desk was so patient, helpful, proactive, and lovely when I struggled through some insurance confusion. And then X-rays, cleaning, etc was quick and painless, and the Dental Hygienist and Dentist were so kind, calming, positive, and clear in communication of process and next steps. I’ve never been to a dentist that left me feeling way less anxious about coming back again.
Negative experience: DO NOT COME HERE. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had at a dental office. The staff had bad attitudes, and the energy was negative from the moment I walked in. The doctor got visibly upset when he realized he could no longer perform a root canal due to how damaged my tooth was which I understand it’s more money than a simple extraction. But Instead moving to the next steps calmly, he showed his anger and was yanking on my tooth for like 28mins for it to come out with no numbing at all I felt everything. No care just forcefully pulling, tugging and hitting my front teeth with tools like I wasn’t even human. I was in tears. The healing was horrible it heal improper, and I’ve had other teeth pulled before including four wisdom teeth while I was awake and never experienced anything like this. I was in pain for nearly a month. To make matters worse, the front desk staff is incredibly unprofessional. They constantly lie and say the manager isn’t available when there’s a complaint. They clearly avoid letting patients speak with anyone in charge and never follow up as promised. Because of this traumatic and unprofessional experience, I am now considering taking legal action. No patient should be treated this way!!!
Fantastic experience: Arrived at 9:00am, the receptionist was very pleasant and smiling while greeting me. Didn’t take long and the doctor called me in. Also very polite and soft spoken Doctor (Ankita ). Explained what she was doing to do nicely and the procedure was not painful at all. Very professional people, and am glad to have them as my dentist.
Thank you joseph .
This is good to hear . We will keep providing best treatment
Fantastic experience: I recently had an All-on-6 dental implant procedure done at Almond Dental with Dr. Kumar, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was professional, smooth, and reassuring The procedure went very well, and I was impressed with how thorough the follow-up care was. I’m so pleased with my new smile—it looks and feels natural, and it’s given me a huge boost in confidence.
Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience. The dentist was a woman which I prefer and she went into great detail about my situation and thoroughly explained my options in an easy to understand way. So happy to have found them.
Fantastic experience: I went to the dentist and I can say I was pleased with the service I was provided by the recipionist as well it was a awesome time. Thank you for the good service. Kathleen Dixon
Fantastic experience: The entire staff is very calm and knowledgeable. They always put my anxieties at ease. And There isn't any pain felt at all!
Positive experience: I’m currently getting an implant and crown operation and I can definitely say that I had a smooth experience I was properly numbed and they explained everything to me throughly. It’s been 2 weeks since stage one in implant and there has been no reaction or swelling. I followed after care instructions and everything is setting in perfectly. I was seen by Sia and Dr Kumar who was extremely cool and confident. I’m so grateful to have found this dentist office trust me. Communication is key. Make sure you get your questions answered before you allow them to operate. Always state any research you've done or your understanding of things & any concerns.
Fantastic experience: 5 stars for Almond Dental. Every staff member was polite and accommodating. Dr. Kumar is the best dentist I have ever encountered. His examination was thorough and used state of the art CT scanning instead of panoramic Xrays. My treatment plan consisting of 6 extractions and 4 implants was a third the cost of Aspen Dental.I would recommend Almond Dental to anyone who is missing teeth or has any dental needs. Also, of the 12 consults I had, Dr. Kumar, DDS, Almond Dental was the only one to take insurance.
Fantastic experience: I found Almond Dental by reaching out to the community for a referral & they came highly recommended. The first thing you notice is the immaculate offices. I was overwhelmed by all the state-of-the-art equipment. I felt immediately at ease with my dentist, Dr. Ankita who was professional & extremely knowledgeable (I thought she must have graduated top of her class). Vicki, office manager was kind & thorough explaining how the billing would go & we worked out a great plan for the services I need. I feel she really takes time to know you & cares. I couldn’t recommend them more.
Negative experience: I wish I had read all of the reviews, especially the one star reviews, before I scheduled an appointment at this dental office. I had so many issues with them starting on my first appointment. The receptionist was sweet but did not know what she was doing. She ignored me and chatted with two other patients for almost 15 minutes before realizing I was waiting on her to schedule my next appointment and handed me paperwork for another client. I had to point out her mistake so she could hand it over to the right person. The dentist’s assistant was very unpleasant. She seemed unhappy to be there and annoyed that she had to be talking to me. I felt like a nuisance to her during my own appointment. Before leaving I asked to be called and given an estimate for what my insurance would cover vs. what I would have to pay out of pocket for my root canal. I never received a call and went in blind for my root canal appointment. I was told, while sitting in the chair being prepared for the procedure, that I would have to pay $300 out of pocket which I agreed to because I could afford that. I tried asking about waiting to schedule for my crown so I could save up for it considering it would be $1800 coming out of my pocket for it. They said they wouldn’t recommend it but that if that’s what I wanted to do then fine. After getting all the equipment ready, laying the chair back, and with needle in hand ready to go, the doctor then informed me I would have to pay an additional $400 for them to fill in the tooth after the root canal was done so it wouldn’t be an open hole. That would have been nice to know before the procedure was literally about to start. I immediately asked to reschedule because I had said MULTIPLE times already that I couldn’t afford more than $300 out of pocket at the moment. They then sent me to the office manager, Vicki, who tried to convince me to sign up for a line of credit to pay for my care. I repeated several more times that I didn’t want to do that, and I couldn’t afford the care not covered by my insurance. Vicki continued to guilt trip and bully me into applying for credit to get my root canal done before leaving, talk over me, and ignore me and my partners concerns to continue her sales pitch. After I said I would rather just reschedule, she finally went to make a copy of my price quote and left us in her office for over 10 minutes before a different lady came in and handed us the paper. I have never felt so unheard and disrespected in my life. DO NOT GO HERE. They only care about making money and do not care for you as a real person. I am relieved that I walked out of there without doing the root canal and I will gladly find another dentist to properly diagnose and treat my issues.
Fantastic experience: I’m not, ever the biggest fan of going to the dentist and volunteering to be in pain on any day, but I’m beyond satisfied with this dental office, doctors, assistants, and all the staff. I have had crooked teeth since my adult teeth came at about 9 years old, so about 25 years and I figured the only maybe option would have to be veneers and I would have to wake up as Beyoncé some morning to afford them. My teeth RIP them have obviously been with me for 2.5 decades so I was use to little kids asking If I was missing teeth and or you got shark teeth and kids are super honest so it’s a hard pill to swallow when that’s your inner Achilles heel. I made an appointment at Almond Dental St. Anthony for tooth pain and regardless of the very nice staff and home feel once I sat in the chair all my dental. PTSD hit full force. In walked this little Indian lady ( can’t remember how to spell or pronounce her name) but I knew my tooth angel by face for sure, she was so nice and understanding she explained everything before, during, and after. she told me I will need a root canal and that would to me translates to extraction because of past root canal trauma with north point as a kid. She said I could come back for the extraction “so I could mentally prepare” which was the first set of words where I knew she understood me and my dental panic. So fast forward during the extraction she told me what was going to hurt, how bad, and long. She also said she was “there with me” why she numbed me as she could see my body start to tense up. I’m not a stranger to pain and it usually takes a lot of pain for me to shed a tear, I have given birth 5 times so pain who? But dental work is a whole other beast. Oh also we also agreed to extract the root canal, and I wanted her to take both “shark teeth” out if the one was already going anyway it little buddy need to leave too. They were located where my upper palette started in the front of my mouth so I need the worst type or numbing in the roof of my mouth (she warned my about it before) to get them numb enough to remove. Getting the 2 teeth extracted was the best way to get insurance to cover the total cost of 6 brand new porcelain teeth. 3 appointments later and about 60 days later. I smile when ever I want and don’t feel ashamed or regretful letting people see my teeth. I was not use to, I lived my life hiding my teeth and toning down my joy and happiness to avoid smiling and showing my teeth or watching when peoples eyes, go from your eyes when talking, to your teeth. It is a lot of work to have to approve or soft launch to see which smile they get today, and so time consuming. After getting use to the person looking at me in the mirror the first couple of weeks because I can’t believe who looks back at me. I REALLY smile… that little Indian lady changed my life in 3, 1 hour long appointments. I now smile without a second thought and I have to remind myself “it’s okay to smile”. I catch myself though the day looking in the mirror to check how good and different I look, are they still straight, and where they are suppose to be. My smile changed my face and my confidence. Making my first appointment was the best decision I have ever made in my entire life and I continue to trust them with my dental care. Thank you again ♾️ Almond dental St Anthony
Fantastic experience: They were great very happy with the results. Vickie is great was very help, they do custom work I would very highly recommend them if you want a perfect smile. Dr. Kumar is outstanding really cares about how u feel.
Fantastic experience: Almond Dental is a great place to use. The front desk is very friendly and they have a great and professional service. The dentist is just awesome gentle and knowledgeable
Negative experience: BEWARE: This clinic has caused severe pain to my gums after repeated visits here. Never had gum ir teeth problems before going here. Also, I met a hygienist who used to work here and she told me this clinic does not sterilize the tools after each patient. After hearing this I will never go back to this terrible clinic. Good luck to all that go here

Fantastic experience: I was so scared when I first came there, but Doc was freaking awesome. He really took care of me and did so fast. The job was complete and I look freaking tremendous. I love it thanks Doc. I will see you again. And ladies y’all have a beautiful day thanks again. I recommend to everybody.
Fantastic experience: I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled! It was quick and painless! Dr. Kumar is great and the front desk staff Anastasia, Shuki, and Donna are welcoming and very helpful! I plan to use them as my regular dentist from now on!
Fantastic experience: I always get personal attention at Almond Dental. They work with me and my insurance making it easy to plan ahead. Everyone in the office is always courteous and friendly.
Fantastic experience: This place and staff are the best!! Pricing is very fair. As most people, I don't like to go to the dentist. And my teeth used to show that. My bottom is an implant now and am so happy!!! The staff made me feel comfortable thru the whole process. The Doc really put me at ease. He spoke words of truth and understanding. I've never felt at ease like I do when I go to Almond Dental. I can't wait to have my uppers done and all complete. It's so nice not having any discomfort what so ever on the bottom now. Thank you so much to all the staff!!
Fantastic experience: As I entered the dental clinic the front desk ladies were very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Ayad is very caring I went in for an exam he answered all my questions.
Fantastic experience: Everyone is very helpful and efficient. This is a new dental office for me and because of the great care I've received each time I've been there I have gone back several times for extensive dental work. Dr. Ankita is the best dentist I've ever seen for my dental care.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Almond Dental. The staff are all great, and I’ve always been satisfied after cleanings and other appointments. I’ve been seeing Dr. Prem Kumar since childhood, and trust his opinion and expertise thoroughly; despite having moved across the country a few years ago, I still book my appointments with him when I’m back in town.
Fantastic experience: Love the crown work and implant done here. Drs. And staff are amazing. Top notch service for dental work. Kudos and Thank You.
Fantastic experience: I went to have a tooth pulled and Dr. Kumar was excellent along with his staff. I felt no pain and would recommend him to anyone needing dental treatment. Best, Willie Richard
Positive experience: This place is very clean and neat. The dentist was a women who's name has failed me at thr moment, but she maybe the owner. She is amazing with my grandmother. She makes her feel comfortable and listened very well to our concerns. She explains everything through. I really like the assistants she has. They all were kind and helpful. Scheduling a time to come in was nice. THE ONLY thing I find a little disappointing is the front desk staff. I have high expectations for the first lines of service at any business and here it is lacking. The times that I have come in or needing to schedule another appointment. The ladies at the desk don't seem to know how to do 2 task at once. If they are on the phone and come in they will not even look up. They will continue that call no matter how long it takes. You can't be on time for your appointment if they are on the phone and won't check you in on time. If they are folding a box and you are standing at the desk looking at them they will act like you aren't there. I've had this happen a few times when we have come in. All you have to do is acknowledge the person infront of you. Its awkward just standing and seeing 3 front desk people doing 1 other thing and don't even look up. Im not like other people.who will interrupt them but I feel like a ghost when im not acknowledged even for a second just to say, i will be with you in a moment. The last time I just left and said I will call later. That isn't good for business, because, that was a few weeks ago and I've been so busy, if I left with my appointment the business would keep it's flow. If the dentist wasn't an amazing woman and so caring for the elderly I wouldn't be able to come back. I just hate bad customer service as a person whos lived in customer service industry and a business owner. This company can use a little tightening up. Best thing to do is arrive early, wait till they get to you and then after your appointment, just call to schedule. Still, a nice place to get what you need.
Fantastic experience: I am part way through the process for an implant. So far it couldn't be a better experience. Very helpful staff to explain what has to happen, and the assistants are knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Dr. Kumar is brilliant. He takes the time to show the situation with my teeth, answered all my questions, and gives me a feeling of great confidence that he knows exactly what he is doing. My implant will be done much faster and for less money than another dentist I checked with. I highly recommend Almond Dental in St. Anthony!
Thank you mark for your review . We will always try our best to.
