Negative experience: This is only based of my experience at the Brooklyn Center location. Multiple red flags. They charge you up front and multiple times I received a bill about a year later. I disputed them, I was once asked if I still had the receipt from over a year ago. I didn't, they argued a bit and blamed it on a system upgrade and lost history and other excuses like system errors. I was told I had 2 small cavities about 2 years ago and still haven't seen anything or had any issues. The last straw was my last appointment. They told me the appointment was going to be around $250, I asked if I could pay half up front. After the lady checked with the manager they said it's actually $350 because they forgot to charge for the x-ray. I said cancel my appointment, something just didn't feel right, they asked if I wanted to reschedule,I declined. I called my insurance to check on the cost of the periodontal cleaning and the x-ray. Insurance said I shouldn't be charged for the x-ray because it was covered. Insurance did a 3 way call with Aspen Dental and me and toldthemthe x-raywas covered. The lady at AD said well I didn't deal with you, I will have my manager call you back. I never received a call back. I will say the hygienists are great.

Negative experience: I just want to share my experience with this company and I cannot in good faith recommend this business to anyone (even my worst enemy) I will say everyone at this location was nice , but that's it, everything else about my visit was terrible! 1st - it took them 4 tries, just to check my blood pressure (the first 2 times, the machine was faulty, the 3rd time, the batteries went dead) 2nd - the pricing, they literally wanted to charge me over $11,000 for a root canal and crown (yes, you heard that correct) That is absolutely insane!!!! I have spoken to numerous clinics and they have all stated that is highway robbery!! (Any other clinic would charge between $3,000 - $4,500) 3rd - I have no faith whatsoever that anyone in the building knows anything about what they are talking about! I got numerous different stories from multiple employees about what they could do for me and my tooth pain/sensitivity (and in the end, ended up with absolutely nothing)And finally, the "office manager or finance manager" was trying to charge me for TWO root canals when my dentist literally only ordered one.(She actually showed me the final report and there were TWO root canals listed ) This company is ripe with fraud and I will NEVER return to this business!

Fantastic experience: I made the right decision by visiting Aspen Dental in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The dentist performed my X-rays and thoroughly explained my tooth health. They were clear about what I needed to do to regain my confidence. After the X-ray, I was informed that some work needed to be done on my teeth. From that moment, I knew it was something I wanted to pursue. The entire process was explained to me in detail. On the financing side, Sura Flaija in the financing department was incredibly helpful. She walked me through the process, and I must admit, the cost for the entire procedure is reasonable compared to other dentists I've visited in the past. I highly recommend anyone interested in improving their dental health to visit Aspen Dental in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Tell them Matthew George recommended you.

August 5- 2025 Dr Ismail Hassan Ukn extracted some teeth . Wow I felt 100 percent comfortable and felt no pain.Drs staff was extremely professional and reassuring. Fantastic experience: I truly love Aspen Dental right here in my community of Brooklyn Ctr. The staff and all. Very professional. The assistant taken my X-rays was so kind and patient with me. I have a little walking imbalance. She took her time walking with me. She explained every detail of the texting. Then another dental assistant went over all of the results from the testing. Giving me the best options she recommended. Even the affordable package she made sure to not make me feel bad regarding what I could afford. So sensitive in not offending me. Last was I believe Sura Flaija (Operation MGR)helped me after I discovered my insurance will not cover the planned treatments I needed. I'm a retired senior who has ALWAYS had coverage. This was hard breaking and embracing. I left with tears but encouraged after the kind words and help to even cover the bill I had after this dentist appointment. In which my insurance company said I was covered. Five stars and highly recommend anyone to choose Aspen Dental.

Negative experience: I made an appointment here for tonsil stone removal. I was told that they could do this for me. After being forced to pay for a year subscription, waiting an hour and a half with the hygienist taking a while, and the assistant doing extremely uncomfortable x rays, I was told by the Doctor Hassan that they cannot help me with the issue I came in here for. EXTREME waste of time and my money. Scam artists.Super unprofessional people and environmental and I would NEVER visit here again.

Negative experience: Very disappointed I waited for over 45 minutes for them to call me back. I asked if it was possible to get the cleaning and xrays done in an hour since I didnt plan to be there for 2+ hours. She suggested doing xrays now and coming back for a cleaning. So inconvenient and a waste of time when businesses overbook clients.

Fantastic experience: If you have seen one of their adds which say they will do there best to get you in as soon as possible and help out financially, they mean it. I will keep going back. I stopped going to dentist for the longest time because of being judged and also when getting worked on I could feel it. Here they made sure I was fully numb, and never felt judged.

Fantastic experience: We had an urgent situation for my son and they got us in IMMEDIATELY! Everyone there was kind and knowledgeable. We had to schedule an urgent surgery and Leah was amazingly helpful and very sweet! Fantastic experience: This was my second visit with Aspen dental within a couple of weeks.I had a really bad tooth infection they went over every detail with me for a treatment plan the antibiotics helped a little but I was still feeling pain in that tooth which means it had to come out.I went back hoping to get it removed but my insurance only covered two exams a year being that my visits were so close together I did not have the money to cover my exam.I was in pain physically and emotionally see I had recently lost my grandmother and the day I went in we were having her memorial when I say I was in there in tears and had no solution Sura is her name she stepped up and did the most wonderful thing for me she covered my exam and all I had to pay was a very small portion for the extraction she did not have to do what she did but she felt empathy for me and she knew what I was going through and she wanted to help me and she did they made me comfortable the DR was professional and walked me through every step she was doing and the assistant held my hand the whole time they even let me listen to my favorite gospel song during the whole procedure.I am so grateful for the care that they gave they went above and beyond and I am so grateful for the care they gave I was able to get that tooth out and speak at my grandmother memorial I prayed in there that day and God spoke to their hearts cause Sura took a extra 100 miles to help me cause she really cared about what I was going through so Thank you Aspen dental and a extraThank you to Sura the office manager if it was not for her kindness I don't know how I would have gotten through that day❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Negative experience: No issues with anyone other than the business manager, she outright lied about not being able to finance my treatment over the phone. Came in and first thing she mentioned was how people were ahead of me and began acting rude and disrespectful when I began questioning my care plan. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Edit: owner sent an email to my personal email using my full legal name with their only attempt of fixing the situation being giving me 25% off my next visit. No thanks buddy yall did me wrong once you'll do it again, btw maybe dont use full legal names on emails to people who dont have their legal name on their Google account.

Negative experience: Went there for my initial visit. My appointment was at 11 am and as requested by the office, I arrived early (10:40 am). I was finally called at 11:45 am. They said that they had limited staff ; sounds like overbooking like airlines do. Well, I was asked why I was there and I told them for my every six months check up and cleaning. They proceeded to say that on the initial visit, cleaning was not performed (is this a MN thing?). They only take x-rays and develop a treatment plan. I had to schedule a cleaning separately. I told them, I had it and left. This “treatment plan” does not sound ry. Beware of going there.
Joaquin, we apologize for any misunderstanding. New patient appointments include x-rays and full comprehensive exam with the doctor and hygienist. From there, the team is able to make recommendations and discuss options that meet one’s individual needs. When schedules allow, offices do make the effort to offer treatment on the same day, but it’s not always possible. -The Customer Service Team
Fantastic experience: Awesome from the time I walked through the front door receptionist was kind and polite. Exray technician was so patient polite. The dentist she was a angel explained everything in detail. The finance department really took her time showing and explaining all of my opinions and cost thank each one of you

Fantastic experience: Aspen Dental was able to fit me in for a last minute appointment on the same day. Sara, the office manager, was warm & friendly, providing great care & answering my questions. Dr. Ismail provided some key observations about my oral health that I was not aware of previously. The hygenist was personable & very kind too.

Fantastic experience: I came in today (7/21) and had the best experience ever. I hate the dentist, I haven’t done in 4 years because of it. The girl who took my X-rays and the girl who helped me at the end with finances were genuinely the nicest people I’ve ever met. I didn’t even think about what was going on because she was so nice to me/talking to me through it all. I’m really happy I found this place!

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I have a lot of dental needs and have a pretty dire situation but know that I have options. First, the dentist made the observation that he had "serious concerns" about the infections I currently have in several teeth. Then, he came in with the plan for total dentures ($35-40K) or restorative treatment of the existing teeth ($17-20K). Despite his concerns, I was sent off with these two estimates and payment/financing options but no prescription for an antibiotic. You were so concerned about the infections but all of the sudden I'm leaving with loan options and no antibiotic? Scam alert!

Fantastic experience: Aspen Dental is AWESOME!!! The customer service, from making the appointment, to walking in to a warm greeting and a smile, to the comfort given by Page and the gentleness of Willet ( hope I got that right) I really want all to know how great of an experience I had especially after the reason as to why I was there. If you're looking for dental care ( which they can do it all) I highly recommend their service and particularly the office in Brooklyn Center!!! Way to go guys!!! Keep up the amazing work!!!

Negative experience: Got a root canal then was supposed to have a crown prep today told me I had to fork out 1400 dollars for a crown when I was told I could get on payment plans for it,will not be going back waste of time and I'll probably lose my tooth now.

Negative experience: I went to this office to get away from Dr. Ismail at MetroDental, but turns out he opened this Aspen office. I've been putting up with it for awhile now, just because it's easier and the other dentists were much better. Made an emergency appt for a broken tooth on Monday, when I arrived for my appointment on Thursday they made me start from scratch and wouldn't fix my tooth at the agreed appt time. They wouldn't even put a temp filling in then. They had an opening later that day, but I have a job. The staff you see before the doctor and dental hygienist are always pleasant. Everyone after that isn't focused on healthcare, they only care about money. You can tell by the rundown feel of the waiting room and the chairs that look like they were picked up at Goodwill. Time to find a new dentist.

Negative experience: Important Note: This review specifically pertains to the Aspen Dental location in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. It should not be taken as a reflection of other Aspen Dental locations. I visited this office for a consultation, not a full examination. My personal experience was positive — I was seeking a second opinion on a dental condition and ultimately received it. Although I had to wait a while to see the dentist I had requested, I was fine with the delay. He is considered one of the more respected dental professionals in the state, so some wait time was expected. However, others I know who have gone to this location for full exams or cleanings have had much more frustrating experiences. Based on what I’ve observed and what they’ve shared, time management seems to be a recurring issue at this office. What to Expect: Appointments are scheduled in two-hour blocks, even for routine cleanings. So be prepared to spend up to two hours at your visit. Significant delays are common. In one instance, someone waited 20 minutes in the lobby, was brought back to the dental chair — only to wait an additional 20 minutes before any staff even showed up. That particular appointment ended up going over an hour past the scheduled time. What should have been a one-hour visit turned into a three-hour ordeal. This isn’t an isolated incident. Many of the 1- and 2-star reviews for this location mention similar concerns. Concerning Policies: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be canceled. However, patients are often left waiting for extended periods themselves — a double standard that doesn't go unnoticed. They also have a strict appointment confirmation policy. If you fail to confirm your appointment ahead of time, they will cancel it — something I've not experienced with other healthcare providers. The Silver Lining: To be fair, the owner of this location seems to genuinely care about patient experience. In at least two cases I’m aware of, he personally reached out when patients were considering withdrawing from their treatment plans. This effort is commendable and is the main reason I'm not giving this location a 1-star review. Final Thoughts: This location has severe issues with time management, and the staff rarely acknowledges or apologizes for the delays. I understand that this is a small office in a busy area — but that makes effective scheduling and patient communication even more important. Yes, patients should be responsible about arriving on time. But respect for patients’ time needs to be mutual. Until this balance is addressed, the patient experience will continue to suffer.

Negative experience: Went in to have my plate repaired, spend three & half hours total there before being told plate ready next day. Had to have 15 x rays of mouth & medical history taken. WHY I ASK? We do this with all new patients, what does this have to do with repairing my plate? It's what we do. If you want new dentures will cost between $10,000 to $20,000.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are professionals. It is not a teeth cleaning factory, but an actual full spectrum dental office. Also, they have a beautiful spectrum of culturally diverse, competent staff. I had WONDERFUL experience and it started with the appointment scheduled. She was a friendly lady who genuinely enjoyed being a phone operator! Hallelujah. Finally found an amazing clinic!!!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience, I've been going to them for a few months. Just got teeth pulled and partial dentures, it was a scary experience for me but the team did a great job keeping me calm and talking me though everything. It's a hug plus for them being open on Saturday because I didn't have to miss any work. I'm also low income and they always go out out of the way to make sure they are giving me the best price available and they have lots of financing and payment plan options available.

Positive experience: Initial charge was for exam and cleaning even though the person to do cleanings wasn't there that day. Had to get that charge refunded. Had a cavity fixed 2 weeks later and was truly painless.

Negative experience: I went in to have a tooth pulled that was broken they said I would need to come back because it had an affection and was put on antibiotics which was fine. So I was scheduled to come back 5 days later it's common knowledge that if you have high blood pressure it's going to be high if you have a slight fever and an infection. So I went to the appointment and was told that my doctor needed to sign a release to pull my tooth and they said they hadn't received it. So they had me wait in lobby for 25 minutes and then said I would have to reschedule i got to the appointment at 1:08 pm the appointment was at 1pm. I'm like if they had called and said they didn't have the release for i could have gotten it before I got there my doctor office is 5 minutes from my house in Dayton so over all it was a waste of my time and they still sent me a bill after billing my insurance. Almost forgot they tried to sell me some implants for 36,000 dollars for a full set and 17,500 for just the bottom. Overall they just want to make a sell and don't care about their patients well being. Why would you try and sell some who's in pain and not feeling well implants. Very unprofessional they try to get you when they think you're vulnerable. So be careful if you go there.

Negative experience: was told a year ago i needed $800 in cavity repair work. just went to a local independent dentist who’s been in business for 50+ years who says i have perfectly healthy teeth needing no work. they did my invisible aligners a while back and it was fine and my teeth look great now, but i dont think i ever saw the same doc twice. it was super weird idk the vibes are off with aspen

Negative experience: My appointment was at 10:30am today. I arrived early before my appointment time and I had to wait about an hour and I still didn't get any service so I decidedto leave. Very unprofessional. Whats the point of require appointment when you don't commit to the time agreed?

Positive experience: It was like being tortured getting my teeth x-rays. In all my years of going to the dentist it was never this painful. They are more expensive than your average dental care offices. You spend most of your time with the tech! Then to the billing office to discuss the cost. I ended up going back to my old dentist. The cost was a lot cheaper!
