Negative experience: Too expensive. If you want affordable dental work, don't go to Aspen Dental. The last stop before leaving the office is with an instant online application high interest finance company to see if they will finance your treatment plan. No, it does not matter if you don't want to apply, it is going to happen because the office manager has everything in the computer.

Negative experience: Update! It always gets worse with these people. The crooks are at it again over a year later! Sent me a bill for 982.60 stating I have no credit or payment, no insurance filed, and I have receipts showing I paid 662.20 and 233.60. Now I have to deal with this all over again! I am so tired of businesses with zero ethics and accountability. Warning. Do not trust this company! Absolute crooks. Try anywhere else in Ooltewah, Chattanooga, or heck the moon. Just save yourself the frustration of this place. They didn’t even bill my insurance and are trying to charge me after I’ve paid everything upfront. The office manager is never there and will not call you when the kind office people give her a message. Aspen Dental will only try to up charge you for service you don’t need and other halfway decent dentist do for a regular cleaning. Oh and you won’t even get a regular cleaning on your first visit because they are trying to sell you other garbage. BEWARE!

Fantastic experience: Dr Simmons, T, Connie, Akima, Amyra treated me with respect, and made my implants a breeze. The process went smoothly. I am going to miss having Aspen in ooltewah, however i will go to Hixson so i can keep Dr Simmons as my dentist. Thank you Aspen.

I would have never done this If I had known about the crooked practices of Carecredit. Do Not get involved with Aspen Dental and Carecredit

Fantastic experience: These ladies were sweet, kind and very mild manner. I had a very positive experience from the time I walked into their door until the time I walked out. I have very bad anxiety when it comes to dentist but I felt calm the whole time I was there. I unfortunately had to extract a tooth. The doctor did explain all my options after doing a complete exam with tons of X-rays and a 3D scan. To be honest the most uncomfortable part was some of the X-rays biting down but it wasn’t much lol. I found a place that I can go to for all my dental needs. They are not pushy when it comes to dental plans and they offer a variety of options. Thank you ladies!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been nervous about going to a dentist as I haven’t in YEARS, I just did my normal brushing and flossing routine. Well now that I finally have insurance through my job I decided to go ahead and use it and I am very happy that I did. The hygienist was so gentle when doing my treatment I honestly wasn’t bothered by the whole visit. I strongly recommend aspen dental on old Lee highway. 10/10

From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly—they really set the tone for the whole visit. The person who did my X-rays was gentle, professional, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. And the dentist was truly amazing—so knowledgeable and kind. I had a dental assistant get defensive because I called her out on her lack of sanitation, and that's just one example. I wasn't impressed by the dental hygienist or by the overall experience. Fantastic experience: The reality is that sometimes going to the dentist can involve pulling teeth. It's not something that any of us want to do. The doctor was concise in her recommendation for my best interest and circumstance. The staff was amazing, and truly had my best interest. I would highly recommend anyone needing professional care at Aspen Dental in Ooltewah Tennessee.

Negative experience: Could not properly send information to insurance even after multiple calls with them. For a simple cleaning for myself and x-rays for my husband. Only chose to go there because that was where my insurance covered

Positive experience: I needed a crown cemented back in place and Aspen was the only place with early appointments Monday morning after I waited all weekend. One interesting thing they did was had me pay up front, $155 for the exam, x-rays, and the crown. They apparently gave me a discount since I'm not planning on going back, the exam would normally be $134 or something on its own, but they gave me the new patient discount down to $29. The experience was fine and the staff was friendly. Wish I could've just had the crown put back on without all the extra nonsense, but beggars can’t be choosers.

Negative experience: The first thing I wanna say is the Dentist was the sweetest lady. But the positive review ends with that. I first visited because I had a toothache. After all the exams. They told me I needed these deep cleanings. I ended up taking the advice, one month later I had to return for a root canal because the tooth still hurt. So now I am stuck with a bill for over three thousand dollars. For cleanings I didn’t even need. To make matters worse, my tooth is still not any better. They will lie to you just to make money. Then do poor quality work. Avoid at all costs

Fantastic experience: Was afraid at first to go to a chain dental group but because of it’s proximity to my home that I just moved in to and I needed a new dentist, I decided to give them a chance. From day one they won me over and earned me as a patient for life. Professional and accommodating associates and physicians with warm and genuine personalities. I love the text reminders for appointments and the staff informs you up front how much everything will cost you so there are no surprises at the end that you may or may not be able to afford in this tough economy. Negative experience: Wife Needed a tooth extracted. Gave antibiotics and nothing to help with paid. Have been dealing it it for over a week in severe pain and was told to take ibuprofen and antibiotics and come back a week later. Can't sleep. Eat . Or hardly making thru the day with out crying in pain to the point of not being able to make coherent thoughts or sentences. Also had xrays and looked in mouth and was saying how bad it was and hoe painful it looked. So just supposed to take ibuprofen that hasn't helped any at all and come back in 6 days ? What a joke. Drs and dentist are supposed to be there to help. And also to help make you comfortable as possible in the time of need. But my wife was turned away without any help. And not to mention how extremely expensive it was going to be. Almost 300 dollars to pull a tooth ? To me seem to be a pretty steep uncharge

Negative experience: Went to have tooth pulled at 11am they took about 12 rays give me 16 antibiotics hour&half later said my insurance was not accepted and I owe $9507.18 for todays visit

She explained the Motto clear aligner process and was able to answer all of my questions regarding the product. Laconia was very personable and professional. She completed my xray scans and followup work up, demonstrating great patience while completing the tasks. I failed to get the lone front office staff who was worked tirelessly due to her coworker calling out for the day. She did it will a smile and she did not show any signs of frustration or shortness (she had multiple patients to take care of). I am hoping I can return for the Motto installation but if not I will definitely return to see Dr. Brianna Simmons. Thank you ladies for your time and patience today.

Fantastic experience: I truly can't define this experience. I am a recovering drug addict, single mother, with no dental insurance. I am always anxious when I have emergency dental appointments because I haven't been able to see a dentist as I should. I feel a little (or a lot) embarrassed not to mention the fear of needles and pain (from former drug use, as well). From the moment I walked in receptionist, assistant, hygienist, actual dentist, to the billing lady, they ALL took their time with everything, treated me with upmost respect and never once made me feel awkward or out of place. When the doctor went over the extremely thorough exam with me she told me all that I needed to take care of and all that I could take care of but, it wasn't necessarily urgent. She told me overall my teeth were really in good shape given my history and I just started crying. She was so kind and comforting and really helped me through that. I've tried to have this type of exam done at other places with other dental emergencys in the past but, typically they just deal with the issue at hand. I didn't know I would be getting this thorough of an exam today when I went in for an extraction. I didn't know I'd have multiple professionals playing a key part in really taking the time to assess and explain my dental health to me, I definitely didn't know I'd be crying AND comforted by this staff. I could go on and on. Not to mention, I went in for just a emergency extraction. I am over joyed with my experience. Aside from professionalism, I really just want to drive in the hospitality, bedside manner, I felt cared for. Not rushed or passed through as just another cash pay former drug addict patient. I felt seen, I felt safe, I felt heard, I felt welcomed and I felt loved. I will never go to any other dentist for any dental needs EVER AGAIN! thank you Aspen Dental! -M.Pemberton

Only disappointed that it was out of network for Medicare and blue cross. Aspen dental is in many states so I was shocked about that.

Fantastic experience: Had to be squeezed in for a work in emergency. The people at this location were so nice and understanding. They fixed me and with little to no cost (with insurance) and I was on my way with a complete plan of care for my future. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I would not recommend this dentist. Went in for an issue and was told I needed to have X-rays and a cleaning and then another procedure before* they would actually do the reason I was there. So I did! Then they actually did the filling which was the reason I went except when the time came a different dentist came in that I had never met, was not all that great but most importantly the filling fell out in less then a year! In this day and age this is beyond unacceptable. Hygiene staff are nice and kind and the main dentist is also, she listen and seemed actually concerned, but then the change come time to do the work and it was all down hill. I would recommend a different dentist!

Negative experience: Went to Aspen Dental Monday for a bad toothache that was causing the right side Of my face to swell. Appointment was scheduled for 1:30. I got there 10 minutes early and didn’t get taken back until 2:20. They did Ex rays, checked my gums, and wanted to do a thorough cleaning. I was like you can’t clean my teeth because I can barely open my mouth. So the doctor comes in and looks at the ex rays. Says you have 3 teeth that need to come out. I said sir you won’t be able to touch those teeth today because there is infection and terrible pain when I put any pressure on them. He then wants to go over treatment options and wants me to decide which treatment option is best. Pull all of my teeth and install full dentures, pull 3 teeth and do a partial, or pull the 3 teeth and just don’t have any teeth there. I said I would like to think about it and talk it over with my wife be as they were saying it was going to cost $7500.00. I said can you print that off so I can take it home and look it over? She printed off a single sheet of paper with the total of $7500 with no breakdown for what each thing cost. Then it was time to leave and she said hope you have a good evening. I said ma’am thank you and is the dr going to call in some anti biotic for this swelling and infection. She replied and said if the dr saw any infection he will call you in some. I said I would like to know before I leave because if he isn’t going too I need to make another appointment with an actual dentist. She said hold on and came back and said which pharmacy do you use? Never offered anything for the pain that has kept me up for 3 nights. Most inconsiderate dentist office I have ever heard of much less had the privilege of experiencing. Save yourself the time and effort and call someone else!

Negative experience: These people will make you think you need unnecessary treatments thar most dental insurance does not cover! My daughter went here for a routine cleaning, which she never got, and they wanted to do gingivitis treatments. She told them she wasn't comfortable having anything done that wasn't covered or until she discussed it with me. The dental assistant or someone told her that it'd be ok and they wouldn't stop until she gave in. I just had to pay almost $300 for unnecessary treatment. Maybe the girl that told her it'd be ok should reimburse me. Do not recommend them for anything! Im very unhappy

Negative experience: Had an appointment yesterday with the hygienist and she is a gold digger. Stay away from this place people. She refused to do regular cleaning and wanted me to get deep cleaning first since I'm new customer and new in Tennessee. Their bill was $2600. I have no cavity, no swollen gums, no gums bleeding, and no problems with my teeth. I used to get my teeth cleaning few times a year in California with no problems.

Negative experience: I went not 8 months ago and had a problem with not one but 2 fillings Aspen Dental so called fixed . One of the fillings came out in 8 months. They charged me to re fix a tooth they had done got paid for . One of the fillings had a hang spot on it my floss was getting stuck on when they first done the tooth and was never fixed properly . They charged me to again to file a spot off that tooth also that had done been paid for . Would I recommend them NO I WOULD NOT . Dentist work is high and it’s bad enough paying high prices the first time much less paying 2 times in not even a year .

Fantastic experience: If you have embarrassment about your teeth and anxiety about seeking dental treatment this is the place for you. They treat you with dignity kindness and concern. They were gentle and made sure my pain was as minimal as possible. My only regret is that I didn't go sooner. If I had one suggestion it would be that relaxing musical is played. Go to Aspen. You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: The staff there at the office in D'Iberville is absolutely great. I had a special set of circumstances and they evaluated my situation and resolved it with basically no issues. I appreciate the level of professionalism and I'll be back.

Negative experience: I believe I am being charged for procedures that are not necessary. Was given two different charges depending on when I scheduled the appointment. If I schedule for May the charge is $120; if I schedule for July it is $65.

Negative experience: Was looking for an estimate for dentures over the phone. They weren’t able to give an exact price but provided a range of $5-8k and told to me to stop by the office for an exact price and that it’d be a free estimate. After coming in they gave an estimate of $12000 for the dentures. On my EOB i received from my insurance company, Aspen charged $590 for the estimate, and they tried to sneak in a charge of $200 for an “oral cleaning”. No cleaning was was ever provided and they also previously said the estimate would be free. Unethical practices going on here.

Positive experience: It was nice that they were able to get my husband in the same day to glue his dentures back together, along with the exam only costing $19 dollars versus the $260 it normally is. However, the hygienist has an attitude and rushed through her part of the exam, which made my husband very uneasy and stressed out (not everyone is comfortable at dentist). The dentist herself made a rude comment about the cement they used, as my husband made a joke of “I wish I could just buy that online and do it myself” and she proceeded to tell him no you can’t, you wouldn’t even be able to learn how. She also made it sound like the temporary hold for his dentures wouldn’t last more than 24 hours because she didn’t fully want to do it as they were not the ones who made them. Definitely seemed more concerned about the court system and liability than gluing something together which again stressed him out.. he’s not one to tell him he can’t learn or do something since the military. The ladies at the check in/check out desk were very polite and respectful. They were also very helpful to point us in the right direction on how things were done for new patients. The girl who did the X-rays and films was very nice, helped calm my stressed husband, talked him through everything before she did it, showed him how things worked. I believe her name was Maddison. She really deserves a raise or something, true face of helping people and loving there job in a field like this! We probably won’t be back unless it’s an absolute must as it was this time…

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this Aspen Dental location for a little over a year now and it’s been a pleasure every visit. Kourtney and her staff are super friendly, and they always do a phenomenal job. I highly recommend giving them an opportunity to take care of your teeth!

Negative experience: Easy to setup a first time X-ray, and the staff was friendly enough. That's pretty much it for the good. They also recommended me a load of overpriced, inaccurate, and certainly unnecessary future appointments. The wait time was a little slow. However, my worst gripe is that I went in at the earliest time and made it clear I was in extreme pain to each of the people working with me. None of them even tried to be more delicate (aside from Madison who did her best), not only that but they sat me there for 1-2 hours just to tell me in the end that they didn't have the medications, personnel, or knowhow to remove my wisdom teeth, my abscess affected teeth, or at the very least send me home with a pain prescription. But they could sure tell me to get 15 crowns on teeth that aren't even an issue for a total of $23k. So I can't recommend this place in good conscience to someone who needs a regular dentist. Maybe once or twice for a cleaning or maybe an X-ray.

Fantastic experience: I needed an abcess tooth out that was giving me so much issue the last week. Not only were they open the day before thanksgiving they were able to pull my tooth and get rid of the infection. I absolutely love this place.

Negative experience: Dr. Jones is rude, “better than” and seemed like she hated her job. Or maybe she just hated me? Even though I’m very respectful & don’t treat other people like garbage. I left the Ooltewah location, after speaking with the office manager, and went to the location on Shallowford Road, and they were lovely! So sweet and took great care of me. But I will NEVER go back to Aspen in Ooltewah and give them anymore of my money. I had a question about my X-rays and was told by Ms. Jones that I would have to schedule a secondary appointment to talk about other issues I was having since it wasn’t the “the tooth” I was there for. She talked over me and my sister when we TRIED asking questions. I honestly don’t think she made eye contact with me once. When I showed how confused I was by what she was saying, she didn’t care to slow things down and explain why she was saying what she saying, she was clearly just trying to get through with whatever she was saying prior to my questions & didn’t want me to speak I guess? She walked by the office several times after the “exam” she performed on me, & saw that I had my hands over my face because I was emotional. She didn’t care to stop in and check on us or anything. Once I finally got to leave and go to the Shallowford location, I ended up having a full blown anxiety attack from the terrible experience I just had at Aspen in Ooltewah. I couldn’t hold it together. I felt like I wasn’t important.. like complete scum. The Shallowford Road location was perfect!

Fantastic experience: This was the best dentist visit I have had in my adult life. Dr.jones was very gentle. I was in so much pain and every personal staff was great. They walked me through all the work that I need to have done, which made me feel so much more comfortable about going to the dentist. Before I left I even all of the staff's names. Aspen Dental has my business for the rest of my life

Negative experience: Don't go to Aspen Dental if you're in pain! It's not worth the headache & handholding that you have to deal with in regards to their office staff. They forget about you, they don't listen to you about insurance, & you have to explain to them how a deductible works. (She claimed it was the cost of the procedure PLUS my deductible that I would owe on the day of the procedure.) However, if you're just dealing with maintenance it may be worth the hassle if you don't mind handholding the front office staff, because the hygienist & dentist were both very nice & informative.

Fantastic experience: Hands down, the best all around. Awesome bedside manner, perfect knowledgeable responses to all your concerns and questions. I was terrified of dentist, can't say that anymore. Thankyou to all of you!!!

Fantastic experience: I went in to the office for a denture repair. Everyone was nice and very professional. Tee, I think that is what everyone called her, offered many options on what to do with my denture. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. She did a fantastic job. I came in with a denture in 2 pieces and left with my denture repaired! Office Manager Courtney was friendly and amazing!
