Negative experience: They doubled booked me for the same procedure two days in a row, they mistakenly cancelled both my appointments even though I confirmed the latter one and as I was trying to call up there to see why it was cancelled, the lady hung up in my face and proceeded to ignore me everytime I called back

Positive experience: I would have like for them to have told me that that could not fix my upper left tooth instead of fixing the one next to it. After all of that, Dr. Patel referred that I need to see a specialist. That communication should have been more clear. After I got home the same day the costly temporary “fix” came out and wasn’t stable. I would have appreciated a better line of communication of the procedures. Other than that the staff was very polite.

Positive experience: Everyone is super nice and I felt very comfortable. I hadn’t gone to the dentist in a long time because I was scared. It was so refreshing not to feel like I was being judged. The only downside is sometimes you’re waiting for a long while even with being early for your appointment. I’d still rather wait in exchange for the kindness and comfort this office has.

Negative experience: Every time we come for six month cleaning there’s a different dentist. Also, I scheduled my next appointment with the hygienist and somehow they change me to a new hygienist. I was not happy with that.

Negative experience: Please beware!! This is probably the most unprofessional dentist I ever been too! Being a person with very high anxiety about dentist going here was one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever done, besides the fact they over book and have way too many patients at one time. I can’t even explain how rude the assistant was also loud tells all your business where everyone can hear and then the doctor come in looks for literally one second says o yeah come back to get tooth pulled…what was the point of appointment if you can’t have work done same day! totally rushed does not care no compassion. If you want to be treated like trash and feel uncomfortable by all means go here. There are way too many dentist to choose from then to go here and get this type of service!!!

Negative experience: This place is terrible and I do not recommend at all. Coming here is up in the air so if you do have an appointment call them first or you'll be turned around just to be told they don't have a doctor in and the receptionist at the desk said their communication between eachother is terrible which makes no sense at all. Affordable shouldn't mean crappy service. I am going elsewhere. I wish I could give a negative star.

Negative experience: Affordable dental care? More like unreliable dental care. I paid $1,400 out of pocket for a crown that only lasted a year. The dentist had me come back over seven times because the crown didn’t fit and kept breaking. Despite all these visits, he couldn’t get it right. At one point, the crown was left broken and open, which caused a cavity. This led to an emergency root canal through the crown—an absolute nightmare. While I initially thought the issue was resolved, the crown fractured again within a year, and now they expect me to pay for a replacement. Save yourself the frustration and money. This is by far the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. Avoid this place at all cost.

Positive experience: In the past I've had a really good experience. My recent visit was a little disappointing, front desk staff very friendly, and inviting. Even the assistants in the back. The dental hygienist I wasn't too crazy about her, don't want to go into detail, and being there over 2 hrs was annoying. And to find out my old dentist that I became very comfortable with is gone ,was the most disappointing.

Negative experience: Don't go!!! I've been going here only because they take my insurance but you get 50/50 treatment. It took about 10 visits before they got my crown right!! I've had to wait 30-40 mins to be seen. They rescheduled my appointment because the dentist was out and then I was 15 mins late and they wouldn't see me. Then when I left, I see the dentist outside in the back of the building on his cellphone. Is that what he's so busy doing? Are you kidding me. I hope he washes his nasty hands when he goes back in. Ridiculous. I've already paid half to get this tooth repaired but once it's done they won't see me anymore. Update: went to my old dentist and paid out of pocket because I trust him. He told me he charges $200 for my partial that affordable dental charges me $1200 for. Total rip off. Please get second opinion before going or paying them anything!!

Fantastic experience: I love them. They make me my daughter and fiancé very comfortable every time we come in. Oh and let’s not forget appointments are very easy to make.

Negative experience: This place is ok if all you need to do is go get a cleaning but if they need to check with your insurance company or an update on where your permanent Crown is like I did you will have to call them multiple times and they will never call you back. It took 2 months and several calls to find out the scan didn't work and I had to come back to do it again. Now I'm waiting on a different procedure to get done and for them to contact my insurance company and once again no one is calling me back! I think it's about time for me and my kids to find a new dentist because this is absolutely ridiculous!

Fantastic experience: Crystal was a friendly and nice and was gentle with my teeth. They are very clean. Kim was nice and friendly. Dominique was nice and friendly at checkout I enjoy going to the Dentist. They were professional and gave great customer service.

Negative experience: They waited until me and my son got there for our appointments and the front desk lady said the dentist won’t see us because they don’t have enough doctors and I told her that is totally unacceptable for me. As the front desk lady raised her voice to try to over talk to l I explained to her to lower her voice because my business is not the entire office business. When I first got there she gave me paperwork to update all of our current information and then once they refused to see me she proceeded to say I didn’t answer any of her calls to confirm my appointment. How is that my fault that y’all did not do your part to update my information before my actual appointment day because I reached out and called your office several times prior to the day off. They are super rude and unprofessional. The worst part is I left out upset about me and my son not being seen and I walked back in to get the doctors name who refused to service us and they still had all of me and my sons paperwork laid up on the front desk open for every other patient in that office to get our information which violated all of our HIPPA RIGHTS. I will be reporting this to the board because that is completely unlawful and unacceptable!!!!!!!

Negative experience: I would rate them negative one million. They tried to charge me 500 bucks to pull a tooth with a small chip and another tooth with two timyslivers poking up. I can't even call it a tooth..just two slivers. Half the size of a baby ant. I will upload a pic of one of the slivers but it's so small I don't think it will show up on camera. They told be it was wrapped around my jawbone and my medicare wouldn't pay for it. When I called my insurance agent she said the dentist wrote the claim this way. The dentist said insurance wouldn't pay for it. They lied to me over and over. They didn't even tell me about the extra charge until five minutes before I was to get chaired. Shame on you people trying to steal money from old sick women. SHAME SHAME SHAME. I wonder how many they have ripped off. See the tooth below next to a penny. I pulled it my self.

Negative experience: I have two types of insurance. Whatever the first insurance doesn’t cover the second one does. The young lady at the front desk advise that they will not use both. I would have to pay a co-pay for my primary insurance ($400). I advised my secondary should cover the additional cost. She advised no . At what point is this place affordable? Don’t go here!!!

Negative experience: I had a lady Dentist and she was the rudest person I ever met! After she rescheduled me three times and I finally see her, she going to tell me she don't know if she can do a filling Maybe I should give you a roof canal or pull it. Whi h one are you going to do lady???. Then told me she is under staff can I come back later that Day so she can see what she can do, remind you my appointment was at 11: 30. Will not go back.

Negative experience: Terrible dentist they change up what insurance is accepted every couple months. Last year I was told they didn’t take my insurance then told they did so I made an appointment. Now the day of my 6 month check up they called and said they don’t take my insurance again

On the web it states business is open even though it's nearly a month later still haven't had appointments! This place is a waste of time truly sorry I listened to my friends about this unprofessional practice!!! Let me schedule with a professional office who handles business!

Negative experience: I had a good experience here, but they referred me to an Oral Surgeon who pulled my wisdom tooth a month ago and I’m literally still feeling pain. On top of that there’s a piece of my tooth still piercing through my gum. He did a poor job. I had to go back the same day and demand I receive something for pain. Im hesitant to go back in fear of retaliation. I’m now looking for another oral surgeon who can help me but I’m a bit intimidated and semi petrified from this experience.

Positive experience: I had my first appointment here today. I had to search for some place that would accept straight Medicaid. They got me in very quickly due to a cancelation. I am 61 years old and have had my teeth cleaned every six months faithfully throughout my adult life until the last couple of years due to insurance issues and covid. My former dentist, who retired, always told me that my teeth were in great condition as were my gums. Today I expected to be advised that I had issues with my gums because of the lack of care the last 2 years. However, not only was I told that, I was told that I needed over $3000 in dental work. None of it covered by insurance. Suddenly, at 61, they say I have issues with my bite. I need crowns and I don't even remember what else. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful but I have never felt so aware of someone trying to sell me something I don't need. It's definitely a money game there. Obviously someone with Medicaid insurance is not in a financial situation to pay what they ask. I was told the $800 deep clean that I needed would only be $400 for 3 days after Christmas. Seriously! If you can afford to provide this service for half price why do you charge such a ridiculous price in the first place? Greed! I have been told that I have incredibly healthy teeth forever and now, today, I need over $3000 in work. I will continue searching for an honest, reputable dentist that accepts Medicaid.

Negative experience: I was called to confirm an appointment. I told the receptionist that if I was unable to make the appointment I would call and cancel. I received a call the very next day that I missed because I was working. They left me a text message saying that they were canceling my appointment for my daughter and myself. Nothing about confirming our appointments. Just that it was being canceled. I called and they already gave my appointments away. No resolve except we can get you in a month later. So very disappointed and irritated. The customer service was extremely disappointing. Otherwise the dentist and assistant are great.

Negative experience: NEW PRACTICE, NEW DOCTOR, AWFUL SERVICE! RUDE STAFF IN Front And BACK OFFICE. Left WAITING FOR 2 HOURS. ONLY TO REALIZE THEY ARE KEEPING ME FOR A 2K PAYMENT THAT I'VE ALREADY PAID! THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF THAT PAYMENT. WE ARE NEW THEY SAY... NO PAYMENT RECORDED. THERE IS A HUGE PROBLEM!

Negative experience: Editing comment: One year later, 5,000 dollars later my cap on my tooth is loose and tried to call to make an emergency appointment to get it recemented and they can't get me in till Nov almost 2 months away or I can call every day and pray they have an opening from a canceled appointment that will fit my schedule.. So now I have to hope my tooth under dont get damaged while trying to figure out something to do. When they are making money off you, you are important but to fix something it is impossible to get in. Dr Barbu is great. The staff are very friendly. Everything about this place definitely makes you feel better about coming to a dentist. I was so scared of dentist before coming here due to past experiences but now I'm looking forward to coming back for my next appointment.

Negative experience: I’ve been to this place twice now. Whenever I call I can never get anyone on the phone. Been waiting months for a referral for my wisdom teeth to be removed and haven’t received a call back. I now need a root canal which I can’t afford there, and can’t seem to get a referral for that either. Literally called 15 times today. I also keep seeing everyone else talk about how they suggest a “deep clean”, they suggested that to me on my first visit as well. It’s $800 and not covered by insurance. If they tell you you need a deep clean, they can’t give you a regular cleaning because then your insurance won’t cover it. This place is a scam. If you are poor and need help, don’t go here. Edit: had cavities filled there before switching to a new dentist. Found out they put a filling in over a cavity still and my current dentist had to fix that. I don’t know if that’s a common thing but I’ve never had that happen with the other 3 cavities I’ve had before this.

I went in for pain in my tooth, new I had a cavity but was originally told by a dr that no longer works there that I did not have one and I was just coming here for a second opinion. Well I did indeed have one and like I said dr Johnson made sure the problem was fixed! The front receptionist Nadia was also really nice and helpful. Thank you guys again.

Fantastic experience: Experienced a crack in my tooth along with tooth pain! No dentist office would take me last minute. I contacted this office and the staff were empathetic and got me right in. I also experience anxiety and I’m not a fan of the dentist. The doctor and assistants were patient with me, soft spoken, and explained what they were doing. Fantastic experience: I cannot tell you how many times I have had really bad experiences at the dentist. I saw Dr. Johnson today and let me tell you something, he is the nicest gentle dentist I have ever had. He explains what he is doing and he makes sure you are numbed up and ready for him to start. No rushing at all. The ladies I saw today in the back and at the desk were very knowledgeable and kind and knew what my insurance covers etc.. I have been suffering with tooth pain for about a year for no reason other than my fears that the other dentists left me with. I truly hit the jack pot finding this Dentist and all the ladies that work there.I am telling everyone I know about Dr.Johnson

Negative experience: I would give zero if I could I called about a month I needed some dental work done I asked the lady on the phone of I could do same day procedures she says yes she scheduled me for a date and time and said they way I can have the work done I go get examined and they told me the prices I said ok I have the money for one of the procedures now she goes and comes back and say we can't do it today.... interesting I know welp almost in tears from frustration I leave I call back and asked when they could schedule me for the procedure she gave me a new date today Tuesday 07/26/2022 at around 9:00a.m I get a phone call saying was I aware of the copay I said yes and stated the amount she said yes and she says hold on puts me on hold comes back and now states it's almost double that amount I will not recommend anyone to go there I was referred by a coworker and my experience has been terrible both times

Negative experience: Update: I had Another Appointment which they scheduled it months in advance. 1 day Prior to my return appt in less than 24 hrs notice I received about three text messages and a email stating my appointment has been canceled and they will reach out to me when they are accepting appointments again. I called the office and pre usual it was hard getting through, I tried for three/four days. Then finally someone answered stating they will call back once they can start scheduling appointments again. I assumed it has something to do with the insurance company. Whatever that may be I’m sure that prior to sending me multiple text messages and emails less than 24 hrs of my appointment being canceled they knew of their situation/s and should have taken immediate action contacting their patients. As I stated I had the appointment schedule with them for about Five Months and this was not the professional way to inform me.

Fantastic experience: The receptionist it's amazing I was late for my appointment and calling to reschedule and she was able to get me in a half hour later. The dentist (I forget his name) is absolutely great!! I haven't had a dental where I felt so comfortable. He makes sure you are numb and explains stuff as he is going. I recommend this place to anyone who mentions they need dental work done.

Negative experience: First of all everyone was very nice. Place is clean. I personally feel this was a waste of time and money and gas for me. I took the whole day off from work. I said my whole mouth was hurting cuz of teeth shifting they recommended a deep cleaning and braces even though I’m wearing a partial and need two root canals. I asked about dentures he said the percentage was not good and still recommended braces even though I’m over 50. I thought it was a joke about the braces. I did my research I should of went with my gut feeling. Do not go to this place if your in my situation!!!

Negative experience: Bad experience 1st and 2nd visit. Hygienists was rude and pressured me to get a deep cleaning. They refused to do a routine cleaning because they claim they can loose their license if they clean my teeth without doing a deep cleaning. I felt very mistreated and it seems like they just want money.

Fantastic experience: I was a first time customer and I have to say I loved the staff, Nadia, and Dr. Johson were very helpful making things affordable enough for me to actually get the help my mouth needed! Also the place was clean, and the staff worked well together.

Negative experience: Worst dentist I have ever been to!! Left bone spurs in my mouth!! I've had a lot of dental work including having my jaws wired shut! I couldn't open my mouth for 3 weeks!!. As for the sign on the wall free gas well it doesn't apply to medicaid apparently that doesn't apply to medicaid because he stopped and asked me for $100.00 I couldn't believe it!! Although I have horrible pain lol he gave motrin!!! they didn't give me enough novicain I felt the whole thing. .he should have used Marcain it's stronger then novicain and lasts a lot longer!! I went in there to get dentures. The did not make impressions and. I will never ever step foot in this place agai!!!if I could give a negative 5 I would!!

Fantastic experience: Good experience here takes all insurance and fast and efficient. Very clean and kind. Brought all my friends and family here now.

Negative experience: Over $2,200 for a root canal and crown put in that only lasted a year and a half. The first crown they sent took almost 2 months instead of 2 weeks and it was the wrong size. After waiting another month to have the correct size crown sent-it fell out just a year later. The dentist wanted $199 to cement it back in. DO NOT GO HERE.

Negative experience: I choose this Dentist office because of the Name and because they accepted my insurance. But after my xrays and consultation I HAD TO GET A DEEP CLEANING MY INSURANCE DIDNT PAY, $800 out of pocket, I have Medicaid it didnt pay for nothing, Medicaid pay once or sometimes twice a year for cleaning so why not accommodate Medicaid patients accordingly. . So now I'm on the search for another Dentist because I couldnt afford them. I left feeling belittled and sad. , Also the Orthodontist was upstairs which was convenient this was my reason for choosing Affordable dentist they had the whole package but NOT AFFORDABLE FOR ME...

Positive experience: The only reason I’m even leaving a 3 star review is because the front office staff is always kind to me, talks to me about my cosmetology buisness, and are just awesome overall… However - I started seeing this dental practice January of 2020 and every single visit I’ve had with this doctor has been so bitter, quick, un-compassionate, seemingly “Inconvenient” and overall just poor. He takes on so many patients that he does not have the time to keep up, wait times are insane for scheduled appointments, but like today - if you’re 8 mins late - “ sorry, you can’t be seen because you’re in our grace period “ after just being told I was going to be seen… So now I’m taking ANOTHER Uber back home, and never returning again. Hopfully another dental practice will have more compassion than this buisness has ever shown me!

Negative experience: Edit: below is my original review. I went for a cleaning recently and there is finally a new dentist! Only saw him once but he was very professional. I have a feeling I was not the only one complaining about the previous awful one. There is only ONE dentist in this office and he is Awful. Demeanor..treatment plan..just the worst I have Ever encountered. Their advertised hours are far from what they actually offer. The office staff and hygienists have been very very nice so I can't bash the place, I love them, and can usually work with the schedule. But that grumpy, mean, inexperienced and deplorable dentist will never touch my teeth again. I have a ton of details that I'll stifle...but if you need a cleaning and have relatively healthy teeth their staff and hygienists are great. If you have any actual dental work at all to be done there is a place not far on Coolidge that takes medicaid. I never take the time to review anything really but this particular dentist absolutely deserves a public review of how horrible he is.

Negative experience: Never expected the bait and switch from a dentist. Staff was kind, but dentist gave me referral for the dental work I came in for, but then cut on the full salesmanship press to pressure me into a “deep cleaning” that would not be covered by my insurance. (& would cost me $800 out of pocket) Insanity! The referral was to a surgeon that doesn’t answer the phone, and you can’t even leave a message. If you need real dental work done, go somewhere else. I wish I could leave a review for the work done, but they didn’t do any. Still in pain and now adding frustrated to the list

Fantastic experience: My experience was a good and satisfying experience with affordable dental care and Nadia was very helpful and kind.

Negative experience: i HATE CALLING THEM, they never answer the phone or return phone calls, i’ve been calling for a week and no one’s returned my call. they also slipped up one time and mistakenly answered the phone and just set it down and i heard the office staff talking for about 30 minutes, no one formally answered.
