Negative experience: The front desk staff member was rude and not very informative. When I asked about my insurance coverage and treatment plan, she threw up her hands and said she didn't know, followed by the comment, “You have a lot going on hygienically.” I found this response abrupt, unprofessional, and embarrassing. I would expect front desk staff to communicate with patients respectfully and be mindful of how their words may be perceived. She seemed unhappy throughout the interaction, was not friendly, and did not make an effort to provide helpful information or assistance.

Fantastic experience: The office staff at Parkview dental is amazing! Both Dr Shapiro and Maria did an incredible job today delivering my crown! Both are amazing at what they do and it was so quick and painless! I definitely recommend this dental office! Thank you Parkview Dental!

Negative experience: No complaints about the dental work, but I will not be going back to this office. I have dental insurance. Dr Lee had been my in-network dentist for a while. Dr. Lee changed his in-network status. Dr. Lee did not bother to tell me he was no longer in network. I got an unexpected $476 dental bill. Dr. Lee will not be my dentist from here on.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at this office for a long time and spent a significant amount of money here, including over $1,000 on Invisalign treatment. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been extremely disappointing. Back in June 2024, when I was 7 months pregnant, my retainers broke and I needed a replacement. I scheduled an appointment and drove 45 minutes to the office, only to find out that Dr. Cho—the only provider who handles Invisalign—was not there that day. I had to make another trip. When I returned for my rescheduled appointment, the first thing the office manager said to me was, “Oh no, what are you doing here? We won’t be able to help you.” Being greeted that way, especially while pregnant and after already dealing with scheduling issues, was incredibly upsetting and unprofessional. I eventually paid for new retainers, expecting better quality and service. However, about a year and a half later, my “new” retainers cracked. When I called, I was again told I had to come in on a specific day to see Dr. Cho. I drove back down, assuming they would help fix the issue, but instead I was told they would not be doing anything. The doctor didn’t even come out to speak with me or explain the situation. I had just missed two hours of work for something that could have been communicated over the phone. Throughout these experiences, I felt there was no understanding, no accountability, and no basic courtesy. To make matters worse, when I later called to speak with the doctor directly, I was hung up on. After years of being a loyal patient and investing a lot financially, this is not the level of care or respect I expected. I cannot recommend this office based on my experience.

Fantastic experience: This is an updated review for 2026; as of 2/25/26: I’m happy to say that my excellent experience with Parkview Dental and Dr. Cho continues for 2026. His thoughtful and considerate patient care, along with his vast dental knowledge, still continues. His essential Assistant, Gio, is fortunately still at the Irvine office, as well as the great front office personnel, including Angie and Karla. A wonderful Hygienist, who’s name I’ve sadly forgotten, is now also a great addition to the Parkview practice, as well. Needless to say, Dr. Cho and Parkview will continue to be my Dental provider of choice. This is an updated review; 07/28/2025: Some of the staff has changed, but Parkview Irvine is still my dental office of choice. All of the positives, as below, still apply. I should add that Dr. Cho and Parkview understand how health concerns can affect the dental outcome, and vice versa. In my case, I have severe hearing damage and tinnitus. Dr. Cho is knowledgeable about this condition, and is able to employ techniques to counteract the damaging effects. Since they work with me on my specific dental needs, and overall health requirements, I’ve remained a loyal patient for years. Parkview now has an office in Mission Viejo, and although I haven’t been there, I’m sure that that office has the same high standards as does the Irvine office. I've been a patient at Parkview Dental for about eight years, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this facility. Dr. Cho is one of the very best dentists I've encountered (I'm 65). The crowns and fillings that he has worked on for me have been top notch. In fact, I was first sent to him so that a "botched" job by another dentist could be fixed. I was so impressed by his work, and by his staff, that I decided to switch from my former dentist, over to Parkview. (I've had only limited encounters with Dr. Kwan, but my impression is that he is of the same high quality as Dr. Cho). Even though I do happen to have an insurance plan which is not accepted at Parkview, I still choose Dr. Cho, Dr. Kwan, and Parkview, and elect to pay out-of-pocket, for my dental work. That, in itself, shows how highly I regard this dental practice. Additionally, the whole staff is first rate. Jennifer, Gio, Nikki, Hannah, and Marissa are all friendly, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. The office atmosphere is calm, which I appreciate, everything is explained, and there is, thankfully, no "hard-sell". I would not hesitate to recommend this fine facility for your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: First time for me at this place as I am following Dr. Shapiro wherever he practices. He is the best , been under his care for more than 15 years. The ladies who assisted me with the check in and payment options has excellent customer service . Maria , who assisted Dr. Shapiro with my procedure also has excellent customer service . Fantastic experience: I visited this clinic today; it has a very pleasant, clean atmosphere, and the staff members who work at check-in are really helpful and kind, they are professional in thier career. Dr. Jonathan Chu is a lovely dentist who practices with great professionalism and he has a beautiful heart and mind. He extracted my teeth painlessly, demonstrating his expertise in the field. It indicates to me that he is highly competent and knowledgeable in his career. I wish I had known about this location sooner.

Negative experience: Beware of this place I went in for a dental cleaning about a year ago and they insisted I needed my crown replaced due to discoloration along the gum line though I had no pain or any issues with it. They were making it seem so urgent. I went ahead and went along with what they suggested got a new crown replacement Ever since my new crown has been bleeding around the gums and just now I noticed black discoloration on the gumline already when my previous crown was 10 years old this new one shouldn't be doing that after one year with gushing blood with the water floss. I got regular floss, and the floss just keeps getting stuck underneath the tooth like I can pull it out, they also overcharged me in billing once I confronted the billing manager she said I would be reimbursed, months later I had to call them back to ask for my money. She then tried to pull it off like I had a credit on my account because she wasn't doing her part correctly, I am going to call tomorrow to see if they will rectify the situation though. It is too late to do a chargeback with my bank. I will have to try to call them if they do not want to do any reimbursement. I do not want to go back and have it "fixed" because I don't trust this place at all. Dr. Cho did the crown replacement. And I forget the lady in billings name but I believe there's only one girl in the office who handles that.

Currently, Dr. Ahmadi is my doctor and she is knowledgeable, caring. My teeth has always been bad , I have never had even a suggestion to do anything that wasn’t necessary. I trust them completely. I have been able to maintain the health of my teeth since I have been to ParkView dental. I recommend them with total confidence.

Fantastic experience: They are always very friendly and patient. The hygienists, today I had Sally, always ask about sensitivities or triggers or how they can make us comfortable. Sally and the Dentist both took a keen interest in my Orthodontic work, inquiring about what was getting done and why. They answered some questions I had and offered advice to help me during and after my orthodontic treatment is complete, which was very helpful. My fiancé loves them too, and she has some major sensitivities so her recommendation is way more impressive. Go to these people and trust them with your teeth! Parkview Dental Rocks!

Negative experience: Just like the other 1 star reviews, BEWARE! I have never in my life experienced such terrible service before. I had veneers done at this office and quickly had issues with the work done. My gums became incredibly inflamed and infected. One tooth ended up needing a root canal due to the margins of the veneer being so poorly done. A second tooth also had infected and inflamed gums. I sought out three other dentists and each one of them confirmed the veneers were poorly done. When I went back to Parkview Dental to try and have them fix the issues they refused, and did not take ownership in their poor work. If anything, they tried to upsell me on other work they thought I needed instead. Then, when speaking to their office manager about the issues, and wanting at least some compensation back as this has cost me thousands at this point, she would take weeks to respond back to me and kept deflecting. I finally got new veneers from a different office, and all of my problems have been resolved now that I don't have Parkview's terrible veneers. This is an incredibly poorly run dental office. They have cost me thousands, left me in physical pain, and would not accept any responsibility in the matter. Awful!

Convenient location from work, the front desk staff were very kind and the team in the back that worked on my teeth whitening treatment were extremely nice, professional and knowledgeable of all the questions I had. Negative experience: Warning: do not go here unless you want to be up sold. Everytime I go in I get a sales pitch. & you never get to see the main dentist. He has a rotating crew of interns & you’re never seen by the same dentist. I’m finally leaving after 2 years of continued pain after a crown they placed & they refuse to do anything to correct it.

Negative experience: Do not recommend . Had been there for crown, had a miserable experience. Was seen by dentist Mandl. It took them 4 round to fix, with multiple time removals bcos either the crown was not correct or it was not fitting properly. Have been in pain for months. Have consulted another dentist, where they are recommending to remove it as it’s not correct . Having to pay out of pocket now , bcos my insurance has already paid park view dental. Pls think twice before going

Negative experience: They do not have the most modern and safe xray equipment. My other dentist would never have had to use a lead protectant over my organs / abdomen and need to have the assistant step out of the room for her saftey like Parkview did. My other dentist had a hand held portable xray devise no lead protectant/ barrier needed. Parkview literally made me do 20 xrays just to get a cleaning. I wish I would've declined after I realized they don't have the most up to date xray equipment. Cleaning was fine.

Negative experience: This was undoubtedly the most painful and stressful experience at a dental office. I went to Parkview Dental complaining of pain. Dr. Kiriak said I needed a bridge. During the process, I developed several infections and was in extreme pain. I had to return to the office multiple times. The staff, including the owner, Dr. Cho, was incredibly rude and later refused service while I was in considerable pain. At one of the visits, Dr. Kiriak punctured a nerve which resulted in numbness of the right side of my mouth (still to this day). After this incident, I went to two different doctors who told me that the original recommendation for treatment was incorrect and that I needed a root canal and not a bridge. Furthermore, I learned that the bridge was not placed properly, which caused a lot of inflammation and pain. A year later, I received a bill after I had already paid for most of the work. I do not recommend seeing any of the doctors or working with the front desk staff (especially Diana) at this office to anyone. They lack empathy, compassion, and skills.

Positive experience: the best dental office around. girls at front desk are very nice. the girls are friendly and very helpful I see Dr. Joyce Fang. She is a great dentist. Always greets you with a smile. She treats you like a VIP. Dr. Fang explains everything being done. She a very skillful dentist. She really makes her patients feel comfortable. She is gentle. Parkview dental is the place to go. my family goes to this dental office !! We look forward to our dental appointments!

They did not try to oversell me on services that I recommend and were straight forward about what I did need and why, which is hard to find at dentist offices and I really appreciate that. They were also very good when it came to the actual dental work, and the prices that I got were very reasonable compared to some other dental offices that have offered me the same services. The office it self is nice, front desk staff is very pleasant and the dentist is very considerate of your comfort. 10/10 would reccommend.
